從閃到他拉的家譜

¹⁰閃的後代記在下面。洪水以後二年，閃一百歲生了亞法撒。This is the account of Shem. Two years after the flood, when Shem was 100 years old, he became the father of Arphaxad.

¹¹閃生亞法撒之後又活了五百年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Arphaxad, Shem lived 500 years and had other sons and daughters.

¹²亞法撒活到三十五歲，生了沙拉。When Arphaxad was 35 years old, he became the father of Shelah.

¹³亞法撒生沙拉之後又活了四百零三年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Shelah, Arphaxad lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

¹⁴沙拉活到三十歲，生了希伯。When Shelah was 30 years old, he became the father of Eber.

¹⁵沙拉生希伯之後又活了四百零三年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Eber, Shelah lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

¹⁶希伯活到三十四歲，生了法勒。When Eber was 34 years old, he became the father of Peleg.

¹⁷希伯生法勒之後又活了四百三十年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Peleg, Eber lived 430 years and had other sons and daughters.

¹⁸法勒活到三十歲，生了拉吳。When Peleg was 30 years old, he became the father of Reu.

¹⁹法勒生拉吳之後又活了二百零九年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Reu, Peleg lived 209 years and had other sons and daughters.

²⁰拉吳活到三十二歲，生了西鹿。When Reu was 32 years old, he became the father of Serug.

²¹拉吳生西鹿之後又活了二百零七年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Serug, Reu lived 207 years and had other sons and daughters.

²²西鹿活到三十歲，生了拿鶴。When Serug was 30 years old, he became the father of Nahor.

²³西鹿生拿鶴之後又活了二百年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Nahor, Serug lived 200 years and had other sons and daughters.

²⁴拿鶴活到二十九歲，生了他拉。When Nahor was 29 years old, he became the father of Terah.

²⁵拿鶴生他拉之後又活了一百一十九年，並且生兒養女。And after he had become the father of Terah, Nahor lived 119 years and had other sons and daughters.

²⁶他拉活到七十歲，生了亞伯蘭、拿鶴、哈蘭。When Terah was 70 years old, he became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

²⁷他拉的後代記在下面。他拉生亞伯蘭、拿鶴、哈蘭；哈蘭生羅得。This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.

²⁸哈蘭死在他的本地迦勒底的吾珥，在他父親他拉之先。During his father Terah’s lifetime, Haran died in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans.

²⁹亞伯蘭、拿鶴各娶了妻：亞伯蘭的妻子名叫撒萊；拿鶴的妻子名叫密迦，是哈蘭的女兒；哈蘭是密迦和亦迦的父親。And Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves. Abram’s wife was named Sarai, and Nahor’s wife was named Milcah; she was the daughter of Haran, who was the father of both Milcah and Iscah.

³⁰撒萊不生育，沒有孩子。But Sarai was barren; she had no children.

³¹他拉帶著他兒子亞伯蘭和他孫子哈蘭的兒子羅得，並他兒婦亞伯蘭的妻子撒萊，出了迦勒底的吾珥，要往迦南地去；他們走到哈蘭，就住在那裡。And Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai the wife of Abram, and they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans for the land of Canaan. But when they arrived in Haran, they settled there.

³²他拉共活了二百零五歲，就死在哈蘭。Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Haran.

神呼召亞伯蘭

¹耶和華對亞伯蘭說：「你要離開本地、本族、父家，往我所要指示你的地去。Then the LORD said to Abram, “Leave your country, your kindred, and your father’s household, and go to the land I will show you.

²我必叫你成為大國。我必賜福給你，叫你的名為大；你也要叫別人得福。I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

³為你祝福的，我必賜福與他；那咒詛你的，我必咒詛他。地上的萬族都要因你得福。」I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

亞伯蘭到了迦南

⁴亞伯蘭就照著耶和華的吩咐去了；羅得也和他同去。亞伯蘭出哈蘭的時候年七十五歲。So Abram departed, as the LORD had directed him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.

⁶亞伯蘭經過那地，到了示劍地方、摩利橡樹那裡。那時迦南人住在那地。Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the Oak of Moreh at Shechem. And at that time the Canaanites were in the land.

⁷耶和華向亞伯蘭顯現，說：「我要把這地賜給你的後裔。」亞伯蘭就在那裡為向他顯現的耶和華築了一座壇。Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your offspring.” So Abram built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

⁸從那裡他又遷到伯特利東邊的山，支搭帳棚；西邊是伯特利，東邊是艾。他在那裡又為耶和華築了一座壇，求告耶和華的名。From there Abram moved on to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built an altar to the LORD, and he called on the name of the LORD.

⁹後來亞伯蘭又漸漸遷往南地去。And Abram journeyed on toward the Negev.

下埃及，謊稱撒萊是妹子

¹⁰那地遭遇饑荒。因饑荒甚大，亞伯蘭就下埃及去，要在那裡暫居。Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.

¹¹將近埃及，就對他妻子撒萊說：「我知道你是容貌俊美的婦人。As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “Look, I know that you are a beautiful woman,

¹²埃及人看見你必說：『這是他的妻子』，他們就要殺我，卻叫你存活。and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live.

¹³求你說，你是我的妹子，使我因你得平安，我的命也因你存活。」Please say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake, and on account of you my life will be spared.”

¹⁴及至亞伯蘭到了埃及，埃及人看見那婦人極其美貌。So when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.

¹⁵法老的臣宰看見了她，就在法老面前誇獎她。那婦人就被帶進法老的宮去。When Pharaoh’s officials saw Sarai, they commended her to him, and she was taken into the palace of Pharaoh.

¹⁶法老因這婦人就厚待亞伯蘭，亞伯蘭得了許多牛、羊、駱駝、公驢、母驢、僕婢。He treated Abram well on her account, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, menservants and maidservants, and camels.

¹⁷耶和華因亞伯蘭妻子撒萊的緣故，降大災與法老和他的全家。The LORD, however, afflicted Pharaoh and his household with severe plagues because of Abram’s wife Sarai.

¹⁸法老就召了亞伯蘭來，說：「你這向我做的是甚麼事呢？為甚麼沒有告訴我她是你的妻子？So Pharaoh summoned Abram and asked, “What have you done to me? Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife?

¹⁹為甚麼說她是你的妹子，以致我把她取來要作我的妻子？現在你的妻子在這裡，可以帶她走吧。」Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her as my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!”

²⁰於是法老吩咐人將亞伯蘭和他妻子，並他所有的都送走了。Then Pharaoh gave his men orders concerning Abram, and they sent him away with his wife and all his possessions.

從埃及回到伯特利

¹亞伯蘭帶著他的妻子與羅得，並一切所有的，都從埃及上南地去。So Abram went up out of Egypt into the Negev—he and his wife and all his possessions—and Lot was with him.

²亞伯蘭的金、銀、牲畜極多。And Abram had become extremely wealthy in livestock and silver and gold.

³他從南地漸漸往伯特利去，到了伯特利和艾的中間，就是從前支搭帳棚的地方，From the Negev he journeyed from place to place toward Bethel, until he came to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had formerly been pitched,

⁴也是他起先築壇的地方；他又在那裡求告耶和華的名。to the site where he had built the altar. And there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

與羅得分開

⁵與亞伯蘭同行的羅得也有牛群、羊群、帳棚。Now Lot, who was traveling with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents.

⁶那地容不下他們；因為他們的財物甚多，使他們不能同居。But the land was unable to support both of them while they stayed together, for they had so many possessions that they were unable to coexist.

⁷當時，迦南人與比利洗人在那地居住。亞伯蘭的牧人和羅得的牧人相爭。And there was discord between the herdsmen of Abram and the herdsmen of Lot. At that time the Canaanites and the Perizzites were also living in the land.

⁸亞伯蘭就對羅得說：「你我不可相爭，你的牧人和我的牧人也不可相爭，因為我們是骨肉（原文是弟兄）。So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no contention between you and me, or between your herdsmen and my herdsmen. After all, we are kinsmen.

⁹遍地不都在你眼前嗎？請你離開我：你向左，我就向右；你向右，我就向左。」Is not the whole land before you? Now separate yourself from me. If you go to the left, I will go to the right; if you go to the right, I will go to the left.”

¹⁰羅得舉目看見約旦河的全平原，直到瑣珥，都是滋潤的，那地在耶和華未滅所多瑪、蛾摩拉以先如同耶和華的園子，也像埃及地。And Lot looked out and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan, all the way to Zoar, was well watered like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)

¹¹於是羅得選擇約旦河的全平原，往東遷移；他們就彼此分離了。So Lot chose the whole plain of the Jordan for himself and set out toward the east. And Abram and Lot parted company.

¹²亞伯蘭住在迦南地，羅得住在平原的城邑，漸漸挪移帳棚，直到所多瑪。Abram lived in the land of Canaan, but Lot settled in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

¹³所多瑪人在耶和華面前罪大惡極。But the men of Sodom were wicked, sinning greatly against the LORD.

神應許把全地賜給他

¹⁴羅得離別亞伯蘭以後，耶和華對亞伯蘭說：「從你所在的地方，你舉目向東西南北觀看；After Lot had departed, the LORD said to Abram, “Now lift up your eyes from the place where you are, and look to the north and south and east and west,

¹⁵凡你所看見的一切地，我都要賜給你和你的後裔，直到永遠。for all the land that you see, I will give to you and your offspring forever.

¹⁶我也要使你的後裔如同地上的塵沙那樣多，人若能數算地上的塵沙才能數算你的後裔。I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if one could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted.

¹⁷你起來，縱橫走遍這地，因為我必把這地賜給你。」Get up and walk around the land, through its length and breadth, for I will give it to you.”

¹⁸亞伯蘭就搬了帳棚，來到希伯崙幔利的橡樹那裡居住，在那裡為耶和華築了一座壇。So Abram moved his tent and went to live near the Oaks of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the LORD.

耶穌上山教訓人

¹耶穌看見這許多的人，就上了山，既已坐下，門徒到他跟前來，When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him,

²他就開口教訓他們，說：and He began to teach them, saying:

虛心、哀慟、溫柔的人有福了

³虛心的人有福了！因為天國是他們的。“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

⁴哀慟的人有福了！因為他們必得安慰。Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

⁵溫柔的人有福了！因為他們必承受地土。Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

飢渴慕義、憐恤、清心的人有福了

⁶飢渴慕義的人有福了！因為他們必得飽足。Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

⁷憐恤人的人有福了！因為他們必蒙憐恤。Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

⁸清心的人有福了！因為他們必得見　神。Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

使人和睦的人有福了

⁹使人和睦的人有福了！因為他們必稱為　神的兒子。Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

為義受逼迫的人有福了

¹⁰為義受逼迫的人有福了！因為天國是他們的。Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

¹¹「人若因我辱罵你們，逼迫你們，捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了！Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.

¹²應當歡喜快樂，因為你們在天上的賞賜是大的。在你們以前的先知，人也是這樣逼迫他們。」Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.

你們是世上的鹽

¹³「你們是世上的鹽。鹽若失了味，怎能叫它再鹹呢？以後無用，不過丟在外面，被人踐踏了。You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

你們是世上的光

¹⁴你們是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隱藏的。You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

¹⁵人點燈，不放在斗底下，是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家的人。Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
