神賜福挪亞

¹神賜福給挪亞和他的兒子，對他們說：「你們要生養眾多，遍滿了地。And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

²凡地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥都必驚恐，懼怕你們，連地上一切的昆蟲並海裡一切的魚都交付你們的手。The fear and dread of you will fall on every living creature on the earth, every bird of the air, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand.

³凡活著的動物都可以作你們的食物。這一切我都賜給你們，如同菜蔬一樣。Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.

⁴惟獨肉帶著血，那就是牠的生命，你們不可吃。But you must not eat meat with its lifeblood still in it.

⁵流你們血、害你們命的，無論是獸是人，我必討他的罪，就是向各人的弟兄也是如此。And surely I will require the life of any man or beast by whose hand your lifeblood is shed. I will demand an accounting from anyone who takes the life of his fellow man:

⁶凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因為　神造人是照自己的形像造的。Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood will be shed; for in His own image God has made mankind.

⁷你們要生養眾多，在地上昌盛繁茂。」But as for you, be fruitful and multiply; spread out across the earth and multiply upon it.”

以虹為記號的約

⁸神曉諭挪亞和他的兒子說：Then God said to Noah and his sons with him,

⁹「我與你們和你們的後裔立約，“Behold, I now establish My covenant with you and your descendants after you,

¹⁰並與你們這裡的一切活物─就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸，凡從方舟裡出來的活物─立約。and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth—every living thing that came out of the ark.

¹¹我與你們立約，凡有血肉的，不再被洪水滅絕，也不再有洪水毀壞地了。」And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

¹²神說：「我與你們並你們這裡的各樣活物所立的永約是有記號的。And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:

¹³我把虹放在雲彩中，這就可作我與地立約的記號了。I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.

¹⁴我使雲彩蓋地的時候，必有虹現在雲彩中，Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

¹⁵我便記念我與你們和各樣有血肉的活物所立的約，水就再不氾濫、毀壞一切有血肉的物了。I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.

¹⁶虹必現在雲彩中，我看見，就要記念我與地上各樣有血肉的活物所立的永約。」And whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind that is on the earth.”

¹⁷神對挪亞說：「這就是我與地上一切有血肉之物立約的記號了。」So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and every creature on the earth.”

挪亞的三個兒子

¹⁸出方舟挪亞的兒子就是閃、含、雅弗。含是迦南的父親。The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.

¹⁹這是挪亞的三個兒子，他們的後裔分散在全地。These three were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated.

挪亞醉酒

²⁰挪亞作起農夫來，栽了一個葡萄園。Now Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard.

²¹他喝了園中的酒便醉了，在帳棚裡赤著身子。But when he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and uncovered himself inside his tent.

²²迦南的父親含看見他父親赤身，就到外邊告訴他兩個弟兄。And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside.

²³於是閃和雅弗拿件衣服搭在肩上，倒退著進去，給他父親蓋上；他們背著臉就看不見父親的赤身。Then Shem and Japheth took a garment and placed it across their shoulders, and walking backward, they covered their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned away so that they did not see their father’s nakedness.

挪亞的咒詛與祝福

²⁴挪亞醒了酒，知道小兒子向他所做的事，When Noah awoke from his drunkenness and learned what his youngest son had done to him,

²⁵就說：迦南當受咒詛，必給他弟兄作奴僕的奴僕；he said, “Cursed be Canaan! A servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.”

²⁶又說：耶和華─閃的　神是應當稱頌的！願迦南作閃的奴僕。He also declared: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the servant of Shem.

²⁷願　神使雅弗擴張，使他住在閃的帳棚裡；又願迦南作他的奴僕。May God expand the territory of Japheth; may he dwell in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his servant.”

²⁸洪水以後，挪亞又活了三百五十年。After the flood, Noah lived 350 years.

²⁹挪亞共活了九百五十歲就死了。So Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.

挪亞三個兒子的後代

¹挪亞的兒子閃、含、雅弗的後代記在下面。洪水以後，他們都生了兒子。This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood.

雅弗的後代

²雅弗的兒子是歌篾、瑪各、瑪代、雅完、土巴、米設、提拉。The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

³歌篾的兒子是亞實基拿、利法、陀迦瑪。The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

⁴雅完的兒子是以利沙、他施、基提、多單。And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.

⁵這些人的後裔將各國的地土、海島分開居住，各隨各的方言、宗族立國。From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations.

含的後代

⁶含的兒子是古實、麥西、弗、迦南。The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁷古實的兒子是西巴、哈腓拉、撒弗他、拉瑪、撒弗提迦。拉瑪的兒子是示巴、底但。The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

⁸古實又生寧錄，他為世上英雄之首。Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.

⁹他在耶和華面前是個英勇的獵戶，所以俗語說：「像寧錄在耶和華面前是個英勇的獵戶。」He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.”

¹⁰他國的起頭是巴別、以力、亞甲、甲尼，都在示拿地。His kingdom began in Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

¹¹他從那地出來往亞述去，建造尼尼微、利河伯、迦拉，From that land he went forth into Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,

¹²和尼尼微、迦拉中間的利鮮，這就是那大城。and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.

¹³麥西生路低人、亞拿米人、利哈比人、拿弗土希人、Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,

¹⁴帕斯魯細人、迦斯路希人、迦斐託人；從迦斐託出來的有非利士人。the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.

¹⁵迦南生長子西頓，又生赫And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,

¹⁶和耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

¹⁷希未人、亞基人、西尼人、the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

¹⁸亞瓦底人、洗瑪利人、哈馬人，後來迦南的諸族分散了。the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans were scattered,

¹⁹迦南的境界是從西頓向基拉耳的路上，直到迦薩，又向所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁的路上，直到拉沙。and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

²⁰這就是含的後裔，各隨他們的宗族、方言，所住的地土、邦國。These are the sons of Ham according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.

閃的後代

²¹雅弗的哥哥閃，是希伯子孫之祖，他也生了兒子。And sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth; Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber.

²²閃的兒子是以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路德、亞蘭。The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.

²³亞蘭的兒子是烏斯、戶勒、基帖、瑪施。The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

²⁴亞法撒生沙拉；沙拉生希伯。Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.

²⁵希伯生了兩個兒子，一個名叫法勒（就是分的意思），因為那時人就分地居住；法勒的兄弟名叫約坍。Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.

²⁶約坍生亞摩答、沙列、哈薩瑪非、耶拉、And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

²⁷哈多蘭、烏薩、德拉、Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

²⁸俄巴路、亞比瑪利、示巴、Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

²⁹阿斐、哈腓拉、約巴，這都是約坍的兒子。Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

³⁰他們所住的地方是從米沙直到西發東邊的山。Their territory extended from Mesha to Sephar, in the eastern hill country.

³¹這就是閃的子孫，各隨他們的宗族、方言，所住的地土、邦國。These are the sons of Shem, according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.

³²這些都是挪亞三個兒子的宗族，各隨他們的支派立國。洪水以後，他們在地上分為邦國。All these are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their generations and nations. From these the nations of the earth spread out after the flood.

建造巴別塔

¹那時，天下人的口音、言語都是一樣。Now the whole world had one language and a common form of speech.

²他們往東邊遷移的時候，在示拿地遇見一片平原，就住在那裡。And as people journeyed eastward, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.

³他們彼此商量說：「來吧！我們要做磚，把磚燒透了。」他們就拿磚當石頭，又拿石漆當灰泥。And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar.

⁴他們說：「來吧！我們要建造一座城和一座塔，塔頂通天，為要傳揚我們的名，免得我們分散在全地上。」“Come,” they said, “let us build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.”

神變亂天下人的言語

⁵耶和華降臨，要看看世人所建造的城和塔。Then the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men were building.

⁶耶和華說：「看哪，他們成為一樣的人民，都是一樣的言語，如今既做起這事來，以後他們所要做的事就沒有不成就的了。And the LORD said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond them.

⁷我們下去，在那裡變亂他們的口音，使他們的言語彼此不通。」Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”

⁸於是耶和華使他們從那裡分散在全地上；他們就停工，不造那城了。So the LORD scattered them from there over the face of all the earth, and they stopped building the city.

⁹因為耶和華在那裡變亂天下人的言語，使眾人分散在全地上，所以那城名叫巴別。That is why it is called Babel, for there the LORD confused the language of the whole world, and from that place the LORD scattered them over the face of all the earth.

在曠野受試探

¹當時，耶穌被聖靈引到曠野，受魔鬼的試探。Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

²他禁食四十晝夜，後來就餓了。After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.

叫石頭變成食物

³那試探人的進前來，對他說：「你若是　神的兒子，可以吩咐這些石頭變成食物。」The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

⁴耶穌卻回答說：「經上記著說：人活著，不是單靠食物，乃是靠　神口裡所出的一切話。」But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

從殿頂跳下去

⁵魔鬼就帶他進了聖城，叫他站在殿頂（頂：原文是翅）上，Then the devil took Him to the holy city and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.

⁶對他說：「你若是　神的兒子，可以跳下去，因為經上記著說：主要為你吩咐他的使者用手托著你，免得你的腳碰在石頭上。」“If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”

⁷耶穌對他說：「經上又記著說：『不可試探主─你的　神。』」Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

萬國的榮華

⁸魔鬼又帶他上了一座最高的山，將世上的萬國與萬國的榮華都指給他看，Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

⁹對他說：「你若俯伏拜我，我就把這一切都賜給你。」“All this I will give You,” he said, “if You will fall down and worship me.”

¹⁰耶穌說：「撒但（就是抵擋的意思，乃魔鬼的別名），退去吧！因為經上記著說：當拜主－你的　神，單要事奉他。」“Away from Me, Satan!” Jesus told him. “For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”

¹¹於是，魔鬼離了耶穌，有天使來伺候他。Then the devil left Him, and angels came and ministered to Him.

在加利利開始傳道

¹²耶穌聽見約翰下了監，就退到加利利去；When Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He withdrew to Galilee.

¹³後又離開拿撒勒，往迦百農去，就住在那裡。那地方靠海，在西布倫和拿弗他利的邊界上。Leaving Nazareth, He went and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

¹⁴這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

¹⁵說：西布倫地，拿弗他利地，就是沿海的路，約旦河外，外邦人的加利利地─“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—

¹⁶那坐在黑暗裡的百姓看見了大光；坐在死蔭之地的人有光發現照著他們。the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”

¹⁷從那時候，耶穌就傳起道來，說：「天國近了，你們應當悔改！」From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

呼召四個打魚的人

¹⁸耶穌在加利利海邊行走，看見弟兄二人，就是那稱呼彼得的西門和他兄弟安得烈，在海裡撒網；他們本是打魚的。As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

¹⁹耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”

²⁰他們就立刻捨了網，跟從了他。And at once they left their nets and followed Him.

²¹從那裡往前走，又看見弟兄二人，就是西庇太的兒子雅各和他兄弟約翰，同他們的父親西庇太在船上補網，耶穌就招呼他們，Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus called them,

²²他們立刻捨了船，別了父親，跟從了耶穌。and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him.

走遍加利利傳道醫病

²³耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裡教訓人，傳天國的福音，醫治百姓各樣的病症。Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

²⁴他的名聲就傳遍了敘利亞。那裡的人把一切害病的，就是害各樣疾病、各樣疼痛的和被鬼附的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，都帶了來，耶穌就治好了他們。News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and He healed them.

²⁵當下，有許多人從加利利、低加坡里、耶路撒冷、猶太、約旦河外來跟著他。Large crowds followed Him, having come from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
