論以東的默示

¹俄巴底亞得了耶和華的默示。論以東說：我從耶和華那裡聽見信息，並有使者被差往列國去，說：起來吧，一同起來與以東爭戰！This is the vision of Obadiah: This is what the Lord GOD says about Edom—We have heard a message from the LORD; an envoy has been sent among the nations to say, “Rise up, and let us go to battle against her!”—

²我使你─以東在列國中為最小的，被人大大藐視。“Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

狂傲自欺，必被拉下

³住在山穴中、居所在高處的啊，你因狂傲自欺，心裡說：誰能將我拉下地去呢？The pride of your heart has deceived you, O dwellers in the clefts of the rocks whose habitation is the heights, who say in your heart, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’

⁴你雖如大鷹高飛，在星宿之間搭窩，我必從那裡拉下你來。這是耶和華說的。Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, even from there I will bring you down,” declares the LORD.

以掃被搜尋、被出賣

⁵盜賊若來在你那裡，或強盜夜間而來─你何竟被剪除─豈不偷竊直到夠了呢？摘葡萄的若來到你那裡，豈不剩下些葡萄呢？“If thieves came to you, if robbers by night—oh, how you will be ruined—would they not steal only what they wanted? If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleanings?

⁶以掃的隱密處何竟被搜尋？他隱藏的寶物何竟被查出？But how Esau will be pillaged, his hidden treasures sought out!

⁷與你結盟的都送你上路，直到交界；與你和好的欺騙你，且勝過你；與你一同吃飯的設下網羅陷害你；在你心裡毫無聰明。All the men allied with you will drive you to the border; the men at peace with you will deceive and overpower you. Those who eat your bread will set a trap for you without your awareness of it.

智慧人必被除滅

⁸耶和華說：到那日，我豈不從以東除滅智慧人？從以掃山除滅聰明人？In that day, declares the LORD, will I not destroy the wise men of Edom and the men of understanding in the mountains of Esau?

⁹提幔哪，你的勇士必驚惶，甚至以掃山的人都被殺戮剪除。Then your mighty men, O Teman, will be terrified, so that everyone in the mountains of Esau will be cut down in the slaughter.

因你向兄弟行強暴

¹⁰因你向兄弟雅各行強暴，羞愧必遮蓋你，你也必永遠斷絕。Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame and cut off forever.

¹¹當外人擄掠雅各的財物，外邦人進入他的城門，為耶路撒冷拈鬮的日子，你竟站在一旁，像與他們同夥。On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gate and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were just like one of them.

你不當瞪眼看著

¹²你兄弟遭難的日子，你不當瞪眼看著；猶大人被滅的日子，你不當因此歡樂；他們遭難的日子，你不當說狂傲的話。But you should not gloat in that day, your brother’s day of misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast proudly in the day of their distress.

¹³我民遭災的日子，你不當進他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不當瞪眼看著他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不當伸手搶他們的財物；You should not enter the gate of My people in the day of their disaster, nor gloat over their affliction in the day of their disaster, nor loot their wealth in the day of their disaster.

¹⁴你不當站在岔路口剪除他們中間逃脫的；他們遭難的日子，你不當將他們剩下的人交付仇敵。Nor should you stand at the crossroads to cut off their fugitives, nor deliver up their survivors in the day of their distress.

耶和華的日子臨近萬國

¹⁵耶和華降罰的日子臨近萬國。你怎樣行，他也必照樣向你行；你的報應必歸到你頭上。For the Day of the LORD is near for all the nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your recompense will return upon your own head.

¹⁶你們猶大人在我聖山怎樣喝了苦杯，萬國也必照樣常常地喝；且喝且咽，他們就歸於無有。For as you drank on My holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually. They will drink and gulp it down; they will be as if they had never existed.

錫安山必有逃脫的人

¹⁷在錫安山必有逃脫的人，那山也必成聖；雅各家必得原有的產業。But on Mount Zion there will be deliverance, and it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will reclaim their possession.

¹⁸雅各家必成為大火；約瑟家必為火焰；以掃家必如碎秸；火必將他燒著吞滅。以掃家必無餘剩的。這是耶和華說的。Then the house of Jacob will be a blazing fire, and the house of Joseph a burning flame; but the house of Esau will be stubble—Jacob will set it ablaze and consume it. Therefore no survivor will remain from the house of Esau.” For the LORD has spoken.

國度歸耶和華

¹⁹南地的人必得以掃山；高原的人必得非利士地，也得以法蓮地和撒馬利亞地；便雅憫人必得基列。Those from the Negev will possess the mountains of Esau; those from the foothills will possess the land of the Philistines. They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria, and Benjamin will possess Gilead.

²⁰在迦南人中被擄的以色列眾人必得地直到撒勒法；在西法拉中被擄的耶路撒冷人必得南地的城邑。And the exiles of this host of the Israelites will possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath; and the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the cities of the Negev.

²¹必有拯救者上到錫安山，審判以掃山；國度就歸耶和華了。The deliverers will ascend Mount Zion to rule over the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will belong to the LORD.

大力的天使拿著小書卷

¹我又看見另有一位大力的天使從天降下，披著雲彩，頭上有虹，臉面像日頭，兩腳像火柱。Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs were like pillars of fire.

²他手裡拿著小書卷，是展開的。他右腳踏海，左腳踏地，He held in his hand a small scroll, which lay open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.

七雷發聲，要封上

³大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫。呼喊完了，就有七雷發聲。Then he cried out in a loud voice like the roar of a lion. And when he cried out, the seven thunders sounded their voices.

⁴七雷發聲之後，我正要寫出來，就聽見從天上有聲音說：「七雷所說的，你要封上，不可寫出來。」When the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to put it in writing. But I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”

天使起誓：神的奧祕要成全

⁵我所看見的那踏海踏地的天使向天舉起右手來，Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven.

⁶指著那創造天和天上之物，地和地上之物，海和海中之物，直活到永永遠遠的，起誓說：「不再有時日了（或譯：不再耽延了）。」And he swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: “There will be no more delay!

⁷但在第七位天使吹號發聲的時候，　神的奧祕就成全了，正如　神所傳給他僕人眾先知的佳音。But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he begins to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants the prophets.”

吃下小書卷

⁸我先前從天上所聽見的那聲音又吩咐我說：「你去，把那踏海踏地之天使手中展開的小書卷取過來。」Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the small scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land.”

⁹我就走到天使那裡，對他說：「請你把小書卷給我。」他對我說：「你拿著吃盡了，便叫你肚子發苦，然而在你口中要甜如蜜。」And I went to the angel and said, “Give me the small scroll.” “Take it and eat it,” he said. “It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”

¹⁰我從天使手中把小書卷接過來，吃盡了，在我口中果然甜如蜜，吃了以後，肚子覺得發苦了。So I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.

你必再說預言

¹¹天使（原文是他們）對我說：「你必指著多民、多國、多方、多王再說預言。」And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”
