希西家病危痛哭禱告

¹那時，希西家病得要死。亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞去見他，對他說：「耶和華如此說：『你當留遺命與你的家，因為你必死，不能活了。』」In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Put your house in order, for you are about to die; you will not recover.’”

²希西家就轉臉朝牆，禱告耶和華說：Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, saying,

³「耶和華啊，求你記念我在你面前怎樣存完全的心，按誠實行事，又做你眼中所看為善的。」希西家就痛哭了。“Please, O LORD, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and with wholehearted devotion; I have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

⁴以賽亞出來，還沒有到中院（院：或譯城），耶和華的話就臨到他，說：Before Isaiah had left the middle courtyard, the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

⁵「你回去告訴我民的君希西家說：耶和華─你祖大衛的　神如此說：『我聽見了你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚，我必醫治你；到第三日，你必上到耶和華的殿。“Go back and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people that this is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the house of the LORD.

⁶我必加增你十五年的壽數，並且我要救你和這城脫離亞述王的手。我為自己和我僕人大衛的緣故，必保護這城。』」I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for My sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”

⁷以賽亞說：「當取一塊無花果餅來。」人就取了來，貼在瘡上，王便痊癒了。Then Isaiah said, “Prepare a poultice of figs.” So they brought it and applied it to the boil, and Hezekiah recovered.

日影後退十度的兆頭

⁸希西家問以賽亞說：「耶和華必醫治我，到第三日，我能上耶和華的殿，有甚麼兆頭呢？」Now Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, “What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the house of the LORD on the third day?”

⁹以賽亞說：「耶和華必成就他所說的。這是他給你的兆頭：你要日影向前進十度呢？是要往後退十度呢？」And Isaiah had replied, “This will be a sign to you from the LORD that He will do what He has promised: Would you like the shadow to go forward ten steps, or back ten steps?”

¹⁰希西家回答說：「日影向前進十度容易，我要日影往後退十度。」“It is easy for the shadow to lengthen ten steps,” answered Hezekiah, “but not for it to go back ten steps.”

¹¹先知以賽亞求告耶和華，耶和華就使亞哈斯的日晷向前進的日影，往後退了十度。So Isaiah the prophet called out to the LORD, and He brought the shadow back the ten steps it had descended on the stairway of Ahaz.

把財寶給巴比倫使者看

¹²那時，巴比倫王巴拉但的兒子米羅達‧巴拉但聽見希西家病而痊癒，就送書信和禮物給他。At that time Merodach-baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah, for he had heard about Hezekiah’s illness.

¹³希西家聽從使者的話，就把他寶庫的金子、銀子、香料、貴重的膏油，和他武庫的一切軍器，並他所有的財寶，都給他們看。他家中和他全國之內，希西家沒有一樣不給他們看的。And Hezekiah received the envoys and showed them all that was in his treasure house—the silver, the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, as well as his armory—all that was found in his storehouses. There was nothing in his palace or in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.

¹⁴於是先知以賽亞來見希西家王，問他說：「這些人說甚麼？他們從哪裡來見你？」希西家說：「他們從遠方的巴比倫來。」Then the prophet Isaiah went to King Hezekiah and asked, “Where did those men come from, and what did they say to you?” “They came from a distant land,” Hezekiah replied, “from Babylon.”

¹⁵以賽亞說：「他們在你家裡看見了甚麼？」希西家說：「凡我家中所有的，他們都看見了；我財寶中沒有一樣不給他們看的。」“What have they seen in your palace?” Isaiah asked. “They have seen everything in my palace,” answered Hezekiah. “There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them.”

預言一切要被擄到巴比倫

¹⁶以賽亞對希西家說：「你要聽耶和華的話，Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD:

¹⁷日子必到，凡你家裡所有的，並你列祖積蓄到如今的，都要被擄到巴比倫去，不留下一樣。這是耶和華說的。The time will surely come when everything in your palace and all that your fathers have stored up until this day will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.

¹⁸並且從你本身所生的眾子，其中必有被擄去在巴比倫王宮裡當太監的。」And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, will be taken away to be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

¹⁹希西家對以賽亞說：「你所說耶和華的話甚好！若在我的年日中有太平和穩固的景況，豈不是好嗎？」But Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “Will there not at least be peace and security in my lifetime?”

希西家的結語

²⁰希西家其餘的事和他的勇力，他怎樣挖池、挖溝、引水入城，都寫在猶大列王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, along with all his might and how he constructed the pool and the tunnel to bring water into the city, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

²¹希西家與他列祖同睡。他兒子瑪拿西接續他作王。And Hezekiah rested with his fathers, and his son Manasseh reigned in his place.

瑪拿西重建邱壇、拜偶像

¹瑪拿西登基的時候年十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王五十五年。他母親名叫協西巴。Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother’s name was Hephzibah.

²瑪拿西行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法耶和華在以色列人面前趕出的外邦人所行可憎的事。And he did evil in the sight of the LORD by following the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.

³重新建築他父希西家所毀壞的邱壇，又為巴力築壇，做亞舍拉像，效法以色列王亞哈所行的，且敬拜事奉天上的萬象；For he rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had destroyed, and he raised up altars for Baal. He made an Asherah pole, as King Ahab of Israel had done, and he worshiped and served all the host of heaven.

⁴在耶和華殿宇中築壇。耶和華曾指著這殿說：「我必立我的名在耶路撒冷。」Manasseh also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My Name.”

⁵他在耶和華殿的兩院中為天上的萬象築壇，In both courtyards of the house of the LORD, he built altars to all the host of heaven.

⁶並使他的兒子經火，又觀兆，用法術，立交鬼的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣；He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.

⁷又在殿內立雕刻的亞舍拉像。耶和華曾對大衛和他兒子所羅門說：「我在以色列眾支派中所選擇的耶路撒冷和這殿，必立我的名，直到永遠。Manasseh even took the carved Asherah pole he had made and set it up in the temple, of which the LORD had said to David and his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will establish My Name forever.

⁸以色列人若謹守遵行我一切所吩咐他們的和我僕人摩西所吩咐他們的一切律法，我就不再使他們挪移離開我所賜給他們列祖之地。」I will never again cause the feet of the Israelites to wander from the land that I gave to their fathers, if only they are careful to do all I have commanded them—the whole Law that My servant Moses commanded them.”

⁹他們卻不聽從。瑪拿西引誘他們行惡，比耶和華在以色列人面前所滅的列國更甚。But the people did not listen and Manasseh led them astray, so that they did greater evil than the nations that the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.

神宣告要降禍耶路撒冷

¹⁰耶和華藉他僕人眾先知說：And the LORD spoke through His servants the prophets, saying,

¹¹「因猶大王瑪拿西行這些可憎的惡事比先前亞摩利人所行的更甚，使猶大人拜他的偶像，陷在罪裡；“Since Manasseh king of Judah has committed all these abominations, acting more wickedly than the Amorites who preceded him, and with his idols has caused Judah to sin,

¹²所以耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：我必降禍與耶路撒冷和猶大，叫一切聽見的人無不耳鳴。this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah that the news will reverberate in the ears of all who hear it.

¹³我必用量撒馬利亞的準繩和亞哈家的線鉈拉在耶路撒冷上，必擦淨耶路撒冷，如人擦盤，將盤倒扣。I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab, and I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes out a bowl—wiping it and turning it upside down.

¹⁴我必棄掉所餘剩的子民（原文是產業），把他們交在仇敵手中，使他們成為一切仇敵擄掠之物；So I will forsake the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hands of their enemies. And they will become plunder and spoil to all their enemies,

¹⁵是因他們自從列祖出埃及直到如今，常行我眼中看為惡的事，惹動我的怒氣。」because they have done evil in My sight and have provoked Me to anger from the day their fathers came out of Egypt until this day.’”

瑪拿西流無辜人的血

¹⁶瑪拿西行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，使猶大人陷在罪裡，又流許多無辜人的血，充滿了耶路撒冷，從這邊直到那邊。Moreover, Manasseh shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end, in addition to the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, doing evil in the sight of the LORD.

¹⁷瑪拿西其餘的事，凡他所行的和他所犯的罪都寫在猶大列王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Manasseh, along with all his accomplishments and the sin that he committed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

¹⁸瑪拿西與他列祖同睡，葬在自己宮院烏撒的園內；他兒子亞們接續他作王。And Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And his son Amon reigned in his place.

亞們行惡被殺

¹⁹亞們登基的時候年二十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王二年。他母親名叫米舒利密，是約提巴人哈魯斯的女兒。Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah.

²⁰亞們行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，與他父親瑪拿西所行的一樣；And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done.

²¹行他父親一切所行的，敬奉他父親所敬奉的偶像，He walked in all the ways of his father, and he served and worshiped the idols his father had served.

²²離棄耶和華─他列祖的　神，不遵行耶和華的道。He abandoned the LORD, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.

²³亞們王的臣僕背叛他，在宮裡殺了他。Then the servants of Amon conspired against him and killed the king in his palace.

²⁴但國民殺了那些背叛亞們王的人，立他兒子約西亞接續他作王。But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah king in his place.

²⁵亞們其餘所行的事都寫在猶大列王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Amon, along with his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

²⁶亞們葬在烏撒的園內自己的墳墓裡。他兒子約西亞接續他作王。And he was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza, and his son Josiah reigned in his place.

真葡萄樹和枝子

¹「我是真葡萄樹，我父是栽培的人。“I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard.

²凡屬我不結果子的枝子，他就剪去；凡結果子的，他就修理乾淨，使枝子結果子更多。He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful.

³現在你們因我講給你們的道，已經乾淨了。You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

⁴你們要常在我裡面，我也常在你們裡面。枝子若不常在葡萄樹上，自己就不能結果子；你們若不常在我裡面，也是這樣。Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.

⁵我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。常在我裡面的，我也常在他裡面，這人就多結果子；因為離了我，你們就不能做甚麼。I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.

⁶人若不常在我裡面，就像枝子丟在外面枯乾，人拾起來，扔在火裡燒了。If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned.

⁷你們若常在我裡面，我的話也常在你們裡面，凡你們所願意的，祈求，就給你們成就。If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

⁸你們多結果子，我父就因此得榮耀，你們也就是我的門徒了。This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.

常在我的愛裡

⁹我愛你們，正如父愛我一樣；你們要常在我的愛裡。As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love.

¹⁰你們若遵守我的命令，就常在我的愛裡，正如我遵守了我父的命令，常在他的愛裡。If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

喜樂滿足，彼此相愛

¹¹「這些事我已經對你們說了，是要叫我的喜樂存在你們心裡，並叫你們的喜樂可以滿足。I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.

¹²你們要彼此相愛，像我愛你們一樣；這就是我的命令。This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

為朋友捨命

¹³人為朋友捨命，人的愛心沒有比這個大的。Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

¹⁴你們若遵行我所吩咐的，就是我的朋友了。You are My friends if you do what I command you.

¹⁵以後我不再稱你們為僕人，因僕人不知道主人所做的事。我乃稱你們為朋友；因我從我父所聽見的，已經都告訴你們了。No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.

¹⁶不是你們揀選了我，是我揀選了你們，並且分派你們去結果子，叫你們的果子常存，使你們奉我的名，無論向父求甚麼，他就賜給你們。You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

¹⁷我這樣吩咐你們，是要叫你們彼此相愛。」This is My command to you: Love one another.

世界要恨你們

¹⁸「世人若恨你們，你們知道（或譯：該知道），恨你們以先已經恨我了。If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.

¹⁹你們若屬世界，世界必愛屬自己的；只因你們不屬世界，乃是我從世界中揀選了你們，所以世界就恨你們。If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.

²⁰你們要記念我從前對你們所說的話：『僕人不能大於主人。』他們若逼迫了我，也要逼迫你們；若遵守了我的話，也要遵守你們的話。Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.

²¹但他們因我的名要向你們行這一切的事，因為他們不認識那差我來的。But they will treat you like this because of My name, since they do not know the One who sent Me.

²²我若沒有來教訓他們，他們就沒有罪；但如今他們的罪無可推諉了。If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

²³恨我的，也恨我的父。Whoever hates Me hates My Father as well.

²⁴我若沒有在他們中間行過別人未曾行的事，他們就沒有罪；但如今連我與我的父，他們也看見也恨惡了。If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father.

²⁵這要應驗他們律法上所寫的話，說：『他們無故地恨我。』But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated Me without reason.’

保惠師要為我作見證

²⁶但我要從父那裡差保惠師來，就是從父出來真理的聖靈；他來了，就要為我作見證。When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father—He will testify about Me.

²⁷你們也要作見證，因為你們從起頭就與我同在。」And you also must testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

預先告訴你們，免得跌倒

¹「我已將這些事告訴你們，使你們不至於跌倒。“I have told you these things so that you will not fall away.

²人要把你們趕出會堂，並且時候將到，凡殺你們的就以為是事奉　神。They will put you out of the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.

³他們這樣行，是因未曾認識父，也未曾認識我。They will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me.

⁴我將這事告訴你們，是叫你們到了時候可以想起我對你們說過了。」「我起先沒有將這事告訴你們，因為我與你們同在。But I have told you these things so that when their hour comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
