希西家專心倚靠耶和華

¹以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第三年，猶大王亞哈斯的兒子希西家登基。In the third year of the reign of Hoshea son of Elah over Israel, Hezekiah son of Ahaz became king of Judah.

²他登基的時候年二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母親名叫亞比，是撒迦利雅的女兒。He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Abi, the daughter of Zechariah.

³希西家行耶和華眼中看為正的事，效法他祖大衛一切所行的。And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.

⁴他廢去邱壇，毀壞柱像，砍下木偶，打碎摩西所造的銅蛇，因為到那時以色列人仍向銅蛇燒香。希西家叫銅蛇為銅塊（或譯：人稱銅蛇為銅像）。He removed the high places, shattered the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He also demolished the bronze snake called Nehushtan that Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had burned incense to it.

⁵希西家倚靠耶和華─以色列的　神，在他前後的猶大列王中沒有一個及他的。Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. No king of Judah was like him, either before him or after him.

⁶因為他專靠耶和華，總不離開，謹守耶和華所吩咐摩西的誡命。He remained faithful to the LORD and did not turn from following Him; he kept the commandments that the LORD had given Moses.

⁷耶和華與他同在，他無論往何處去盡都亨通。他背叛、不肯事奉亞述王。And the LORD was with Hezekiah, and he prospered wherever he went. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and refused to serve him.

⁸希西家攻擊非利士人，直到迦薩，並迦薩的四境，從瞭望樓到堅固城。He defeated the Philistines as far as Gaza and its borders, from watchtower to fortified city.

回顧撒馬利亞陷落

⁹希西家王第四年，就是以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第七年，亞述王撒縵以色上來圍困撒馬利亞；In the fourth year of Hezekiah’s reign, which was the seventh year of the reign of Hoshea son of Elah over Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria marched against Samaria and besieged it.

¹⁰過了三年就攻取了城。希西家第六年，以色列王何細亞第九年，撒馬利亞被攻取了。And at the end of three years, the Assyrians captured it. So Samaria was captured in the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel.

¹¹亞述王將以色列人擄到亞述，把他們安置在哈臘與歌散的哈博河邊，並米底亞人的城邑；The king of Assyria exiled the Israelites to Assyria and settled them in Halah, in Gozan by the Habor River, and in the cities of the Medes.

¹²都因他們不聽從耶和華─他們　神的話，違背他的約，就是耶和華僕人摩西吩咐他們所當守的。This happened because they did not listen to the voice of the LORD their God, but violated His covenant—all that Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded—and would neither listen nor obey.

西拿基立攻打猶大

¹³希西家王十四年，亞述王西拿基立上來攻擊猶大的一切堅固城，將城攻取。In the fourteenth year of Hezekiah’s reign, Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked and captured all the fortified cities of Judah.

¹⁴猶大王希西家差人往拉吉去見亞述王，說：「我有罪了，求你離開我；凡你罰我的，我必承當。」於是亞述王罰猶大王希西家銀子三百他連得，金子三十他連得。So Hezekiah king of Judah sent word to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “I have done wrong; withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand from me.” And the king of Assyria exacted from Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

¹⁵希西家就把耶和華殿裡和王宮府庫裡所有的銀子都給了他。Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace.

¹⁶那時，猶大王希西家將耶和華殿門上的金子和他自己包在柱上的金子都刮下來，給了亞述王。At that time Hezekiah stripped the gold with which he had plated the doors and doorposts of the temple of the LORD, and he gave it to the king of Assyria.

拉伯沙基在城下喊話

¹⁷亞述王從拉吉差遣他珥探、拉伯撒利，和拉伯沙基率領大軍往耶路撒冷，到希西家王那裡去。他們上到耶路撒冷，就站在上池的水溝旁，在漂布地的大路上。Nevertheless, the king of Assyria sent the Tartan, the Rabsaris, and the Rabshakeh, along with a great army, from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem. They advanced up to Jerusalem and stationed themselves by the aqueduct of the upper pool, on the road to the Launderer’s Field.

¹⁸他們呼叫王的時候，就有希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬，並書記舍伯那和亞薩的兒子史官約亞，出來見他們。Then they called for the king. And Eliakim son of Hilkiah the palace administrator, Shebnah the scribe, and Joah son of Asaph the recorder, went out to them.

¹⁹拉伯沙基說：「你們去告訴希西家說，亞述大王如此說：『你所倚靠的有甚麼可仗賴的呢？The Rabshakeh said to them, “Tell Hezekiah that this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: What is the basis of this confidence of yours?

²⁰你說有打仗的計謀和能力，我看不過是虛話。你到底倚靠誰才背叛我呢？You claim to have a strategy and strength for war, but these are empty words. In whom are you now trusting, that you have rebelled against me?

²¹看哪，你所倚靠的埃及是那壓傷的葦杖；人若靠這杖，就必刺透他的手。埃及王法老向一切倚靠他的人也是這樣。Look now, you are trusting in Egypt, that splintered reed of a staff that will pierce the hand of anyone who leans on it. Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

²²你們若對我說：我們倚靠耶和華─我們的　神，希西家豈不是將　神的邱壇和祭壇廢去，且對猶大和耶路撒冷的人說：你們當在耶路撒冷這壇前敬拜嗎？But if you say to me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ is He not the One whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem: ‘You must worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?

²³現在你把當頭給我主亞述王，我給你二千匹馬，看你這一面騎馬的人夠不夠。Now, therefore, make a bargain with my master, the king of Assyria. I will give you two thousand horses—if you can put riders on them!

²⁴若不然，怎能打敗我主臣僕中最小的軍長呢？你竟倚靠埃及的戰車馬兵嗎？For how can you repel a single officer among the least of my master’s servants when you depend on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

²⁵現在我上來攻擊毀滅這地，豈沒有耶和華的意思嗎？耶和華吩咐我說：你上去攻擊毀滅這地吧！』」So now, was it apart from the LORD that I have come up against this place to destroy it? The LORD Himself said to me, ‘Go up against this land and destroy it.’”

求你用亞蘭言語

²⁶希勒家的兒子以利亞敬和舍伯那，並約亞，對拉伯沙基說：「求你用亞蘭言語和僕人說話，因為我們懂得；不要用猶大言語和我們說話，達到城上百姓的耳中。」Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah, along with Shebnah and Joah, said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, since we understand it. Do not speak with us in Hebrew in the hearing of the people on the wall.”

²⁷拉伯沙基說：「我主差遣我來，豈是單對你和你的主說這些話嗎？不也是對這些坐在城上、要與你們一同吃自己糞、喝自己尿的人說嗎？」But the Rabshakeh replied, “Has my master sent me to speak these words only to you and your master, and not to the men sitting on the wall, who are destined with you to eat their own dung and drink their own urine?”

拉伯沙基恐嚇百姓

²⁸於是拉伯沙基站著，用猶大言語大聲喊著說：「你們當聽亞述大王的話！Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out loudly in Hebrew: “Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

²⁹王如此說：『你們不要被希西家欺哄了；因他不能救你們脫離我的手。This is what the king says: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you; he cannot deliver you from my hand.

³⁰也不要聽希西家使你們倚靠耶和華，說耶和華必要拯救我們，這城必不交在亞述王的手中。』Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the LORD when he says, ‘The LORD will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

³¹不要聽希西家的話！因亞述王如此說：『你們要與我和好，出來投降我，各人就可以吃自己葡萄樹和無花果樹的果子，喝自己井裡的水。Do not listen to Hezekiah, for this is what the king of Assyria says: Make peace with me and come out to me. Then every one of you will eat from his own vine and his own fig tree and drink water from his own cistern,

³²等我來領你們到一個地方與你們本地一樣，就是有五穀和新酒之地，有糧食和葡萄園之地，有橄欖樹和蜂蜜之地，好使你們存活，不至於死。希西家勸導你們，說耶和華必拯救我們；你們不要聽他的話。until I come and take you away to a land like your own—a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey—so that you may live and not die. But do not listen to Hezekiah, for he misleads you when he says, ‘The LORD will deliver us.’

³³列國的神有哪一個救他本國脫離亞述王的手呢？Has the god of any nation ever delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?

³⁴哈馬、亞珥拔的神在哪裡呢？西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦的神在哪裡呢？他們曾救撒馬利亞脫離我的手嗎？Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?

³⁵這些國的神有誰曾救自己的國脫離我的手呢？難道耶和華能救耶路撒冷脫離我的手嗎？』」Who among all the gods of these lands has delivered his land from my hand? How then can the LORD deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”

³⁶百姓靜默不言，並不回答一句，因為王曾吩咐說：「不要回答他。」But the people remained silent and did not answer a word, for Hezekiah had commanded, “Do not answer him.”

³⁷當下，希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬和書記舍伯那，並亞薩的兒子史官約亞，都撕裂衣服，來到希西家那裡，將拉伯沙基的話告訴了他。Then Hilkiah’s son Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the scribe, and Asaph’s son Joah the recorder came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and they relayed to him the words of the Rabshakeh.

希西家求以賽亞禱告

¹希西家王聽見，就撕裂衣服，披上麻布，進了耶和華的殿；On hearing this report, King Hezekiah tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and entered the house of the LORD.

²使家宰以利亞敬和書記舍伯那，並祭司中的長老，都披上麻布，去見亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞，And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz

³對他說：「希西家如此說：『今日是急難、責罰、凌辱的日子，就如婦人將要生產嬰孩，卻沒有力量生產。to tell him, “This is what Hezekiah says: Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace; for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.

⁴或者耶和華─你的　神聽見拉伯沙基的一切話，就是他主人亞述王打發他來辱罵永生　神的話，耶和華─你的　神聽見這話，就發斥責。故此，求你為餘剩的民揚聲禱告。』」Perhaps the LORD your God will hear all the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to defy the living God, and He will rebuke him for the words that the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up a prayer for the remnant that still survives.”

⁵希西家王的臣僕就去見以賽亞。So the servants of King Hezekiah went to Isaiah,

⁶以賽亞對他們說：「要這樣對你們的主人說，耶和華如此說：『你聽見亞述王的僕人褻瀆我的話，不要懼怕。who replied, “Tell your master that this is what the LORD says: ‘Do not be afraid of the words you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.

⁷我必驚動（原文是使靈進入）他的心，他要聽見風聲就歸回本地。我必使他在那裡倒在刀下。』」Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land, where I will cause him to fall by the sword.’”

亞述王的恐嚇信

⁸拉伯沙基回去，正遇見亞述王攻打立拿，原來他早聽見亞述王拔營離開拉吉。When the Rabshakeh heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish, he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah.

⁹亞述王聽見人論古實王特哈加說：「他出來要與你爭戰。」於是亞述王又打發使者去見希西家，吩咐他們說：Now Sennacherib had been warned about Tirhakah king of Cush: “Look, he has set out to fight against you.” So Sennacherib again sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

¹⁰「你們對猶大王希西家如此說：『不要聽你所倚靠的　神欺哄你，說耶路撒冷必不交在亞述王的手中。“Give this message to Hezekiah king of Judah: ‘Do not let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you by saying that Jerusalem will not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

¹¹你總聽說亞述諸王向列國所行的，乃是盡行滅絕，難道你還能得救嗎？Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the other countries, devoting them to destruction. Will you then be spared?

¹²我列祖所毀滅的，就是歌散、哈蘭、利色，和屬提．拉撒的伊甸人，這些國的神何曾拯救這些國呢？Did the gods of the nations destroyed by my fathers rescue those nations—the gods of Gozan, Haran, and Rezeph, and of the people of Eden in Telassar?

希西家在殿中禱告

¹⁴希西家從使者手裡接過書信來，看完了，就上耶和華的殿，將書信在耶和華面前展開。So Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers, read it, and went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.

¹⁵希西家向耶和華禱告說：「坐在二基路伯上耶和華─以色列的　神啊，你是天下萬國的　神，你曾創造天地。And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD: “O LORD, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.

¹⁶耶和華啊，求你側耳而聽！耶和華啊，求你睜眼而看！要聽西拿基立打發使者來辱罵永生　神的話。Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see. Listen to the words that Sennacherib has sent to defy the living God.

¹⁷耶和華啊，亞述諸王果然使列國和列國之地變為荒涼，Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste these nations and their lands.

¹⁸將列國的神像都扔在火裡；因為它本不是神，乃是人手所造的，是木頭石頭的，所以滅絕它。They have cast their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods, but only wood and stone—the work of human hands.

¹⁹耶和華─我們的　神啊，現在求你救我們脫離亞述王的手，使天下萬國都知道惟獨你─耶和華是　神！」And now, O LORD our God, please save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O LORD, are God.”

神藉以賽亞回應

²⁰亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞就打發人去見希西家，說：「耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：『你既然求我攻擊亞述王西拿基立，我已聽見了。』Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I have heard your prayer concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria.

²¹耶和華論他這樣說：錫安的處女藐視你，嗤笑你；耶路撒冷的女子向你搖頭。This is the word that the LORD has spoken against him: ‘The Virgin Daughter of Zion despises you and mocks you; the Daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head behind you.

²²你辱罵誰？褻瀆誰？揚起聲來，高舉眼目攻擊誰呢？乃是攻擊以色列的聖者！Whom have you taunted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!

²³你藉你的使者辱罵主，並說：我率領許多戰車上山頂，到黎巴嫩極深之處；我要砍伐其中高大的香柏樹和佳美的松樹；我必上極高之處，進入肥田的樹林。Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, and you have said: “With my many chariots I have ascended to the heights of the mountains, to the remote peaks of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars, the finest of its cypresses. I have reached its farthest outposts, the densest of its forests.

²⁴我已經在外邦挖井喝水；我必用腳掌踏乾埃及的一切河。I have dug wells and drunk foreign waters. With the soles of my feet I have dried up all the streams of Egypt.”

²⁵耶和華說，我早先所做的，古時所立的，就是現在藉你使堅固城荒廢，變為亂堆，這事你豈沒有聽見嗎？Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it; in days of old I planned it. Now I have brought it to pass, that you should crush fortified cities into piles of rubble.

²⁶所以其中的居民力量甚小，驚惶羞愧。他們像野草，像青菜，如房頂上的草，又如未長成而枯乾的禾稼。Therefore their inhabitants, devoid of power, are dismayed and ashamed. They are like plants in the field, tender green shoots, grass on the rooftops, scorched before it is grown.

²⁷你坐下，你出去，你進來，你向我發烈怒，我都知道。But I know your sitting down, your going out and coming in, and your raging against Me.

²⁸因你向我發烈怒，又因你狂傲的話達到我耳中，我就要用鉤子鉤上你的鼻子，把嚼環放在你口裡，使你從你來的路轉回去。Because your rage and arrogance against Me have reached My ears, I will put My hook in your nose and My bit in your mouth; I will send you back the way you came.’

給希西家的證據

²⁹「以色列人哪，我賜你們一個證據：你們今年要吃自生的，明年也要吃自長的；至於後年，你們要耕種收割，栽植葡萄園，吃其中的果子。And this will be a sign to you, O Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will sow and reap; you will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

³⁰猶大家所逃脫餘剩的，仍要往下扎根，向上結果。And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root below and bear fruit above.

³¹必有餘剩的民從耶路撒冷而出；必有逃脫的人從錫安山而來。耶和華的熱心必成就這事。For a remnant will go forth from Jerusalem, and survivors from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.

神必保護這城

³²「所以，耶和華論亞述王如此說：『他必不得來到這城，也不在這裡射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不築壘攻城。So this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: ‘He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow into it. He will not come before it with a shield or build up a siege ramp against it.

³³他從哪條路來，必從那條路回去，必不得來到這城。這是耶和華說的。He will go back the way he came, and he will not enter this city, declares the LORD.

³⁴因我為自己的緣故，又為我僕人大衛的緣故，必保護拯救這城。』」I will defend this city and save it for My own sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”

亞述大軍覆沒

³⁵當夜，耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，一看，都是死屍了。And that very night the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 men in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

³⁶亞述王西拿基立就拔營回去，住在尼尼微。So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.

³⁷一日在他的神尼斯洛廟裡叩拜，他兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀殺了他，就逃到亞拉臘地。他兒子以撒哈頓接續他作王。One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer put him to the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat. And his son Esar-haddon reigned in his place.

我父的家裡有許多住處

¹「你們心裡不要憂愁；你們信　神，也當信我。“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.

²在我父的家裡有許多住處；若是沒有，我就早已告訴你們了。我去原是為你們預備地方去。In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

³我若去為你們預備了地方，就必再來接你們到我那裡去，我在哪裡，叫你們也在那裡。And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.

⁴我往哪裡去，你們知道；那條路，你們也知道（有古卷：我往哪裡去，你們知道那條路）。」You know the way to the place where I am going.”

我就是道路、真理、生命

⁵多馬對他說：「主啊，我們不知道你往哪裡去，怎麼知道那條路呢？」“Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?”

⁶耶穌說：「我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉著我，沒有人能到父那裡去。Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

⁷你們若認識我，也就認識我的父。從今以後，你們認識他，並且已經看見他。」If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”

看見了我，就是看見了父

⁸腓力對他說：「求主將父顯給我們看，我們就知足了。」Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”

⁹耶穌對他說：「腓力，我與你們同在這樣長久，你還不認識我嗎？人看見了我，就是看見了父；你怎麼說『將父顯給我們看』呢？Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

¹⁰我在父裡面，父在我裡面，你不信嗎？我對你們所說的話，不是憑著自己說的，乃是住在我裡面的父做他自己的事。Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.

¹¹你們當信我，我在父裡面，父在我裡面；即或不信，也當因我所做的事信我。Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves.

信的人要做更大的事

¹²我實實在在地告訴你們，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，並且要做比這更大的事，因為我往父那裡去。Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

¹³你們奉我的名無論求甚麼，我必成就，叫父因兒子得榮耀。And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁴你們若奉我的名求甚麼，我必成就。」If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.

另外一位保惠師

¹⁵「你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

¹⁶我要求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師（或譯：訓慰師；下同），叫他永遠與你們同在，And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—

¹⁷就是真理的聖靈，乃世人不能接受的；因為不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裡面。the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.

¹⁸我不撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裡來。I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

¹⁹還有不多的時候，世人不再看見我，你們卻看見我；因為我活著，你們也要活著。In a little while the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live.

²⁰到那日，你們就知道我在父裡面，你們在我裡面，我也在你們裡面。On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.

²¹有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的；愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也要愛他，並且要向他顯現。」Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”

向愛祂的人顯現

²²猶大（不是加略人猶大）問耶穌說：「主啊，為甚麼要向我們顯現，不向世人顯現呢？」Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”

²³耶穌回答說：「人若愛我，就必遵守我的道；我父也必愛他，並且我們要到他那裡去，與他同住。Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

²⁴不愛我的人就不遵守我的道。你們所聽見的道不是我的，乃是差我來之父的道。Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.

我留下平安給你們

²⁵「我還與你們同住的時候，已將這些話對你們說了。All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you.

²⁶但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要將一切的事指教你們，並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.

²⁷我留下平安給你們；我將我的平安賜給你們。我所賜的，不像世人所賜的。你們心裡不要憂愁，也不要膽怯。Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.

我去還要到你們這裡來

²⁸你們聽見我對你們說了，我去還要到你們這裡來。你們若愛我，因我到父那裡去，就必喜樂，因為父是比我大的。You heard Me say, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.

²⁹現在事情還沒有成就，我預先告訴你們，叫你們到事情成就的時候就可以信。And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe.

³⁰以後我不再和你們多說話，因為這世界的王將到。他在我裡面是毫無所有；I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me.

³¹但要叫世人知道我愛父，並且父怎樣吩咐我，我就怎樣行。起來，我們走吧！」But I do exactly what the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Get up! Let us go on from here.
