亞們安葬，約西亞接續作王

²⁶亞們葬在烏撒的園內自己的墳墓裡。他兒子約西亞接續他作王。And he was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza, and his son Josiah reigned in his place.

約西亞行耶和華看為正的事

¹約西亞登基的時候年八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三十一年。他母親名叫耶底大，是波斯加人亞大雅的女兒。Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother’s name was Jedidah daughter of Adaiah; she was from Bozkath.

²約西亞行耶和華眼中看為正的事，行他祖大衛一切所行的，不偏左右。And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

修理聖殿

³約西亞王十八年，王差遣米書蘭的孫子、亞薩利的兒子─書記沙番上耶和華殿去，吩咐他說：Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, King Josiah sent the scribe, Shaphan son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, to the house of the LORD, saying,

⁴「你去見大祭司希勒家，使他將奉到耶和華殿的銀子，就是守門的從民中收聚的銀子，數算數算，“Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him count the money that has been brought into the house of the LORD, which the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

⁵交給耶和華殿裡辦事的人，使他們轉交耶和華殿裡做工的人，好修理殿的破壞之處，And let them deliver it into the hands of the supervisors of those doing the work on the house of the LORD, who in turn are to give it to the workmen repairing the damages to the house of the LORD—

⁶就是轉交木匠和工人，並瓦匠，又買木料和鑿成的石頭修理殿宇，to the carpenters, builders, and masons—to buy timber and dressed stone to repair the temple.

⁷將銀子交在辦事的人手裡，不與他們算帳，因為他們辦事誠實。」But they need not account for the money put into their hands, since they work with integrity.”

在殿裡找到律法書

⁸大祭司希勒家對書記沙番說：「我在耶和華殿裡得了律法書。」希勒家將書遞給沙番，沙番就看了。Then Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the LORD!” And he gave it to Shaphan, who read it.

⁹書記沙番到王那裡，回覆王說：「你的僕人已將殿裡的銀子倒出數算，交給耶和華殿裡辦事的人了。」And Shaphan the scribe went to the king and reported, “Your servants have paid out the money that was found in the temple and have put it into the hands of the workers and supervisors of the house of the LORD.”

¹⁰書記沙番又對王說：「祭司希勒家遞給我一卷書。」沙番就在王面前讀那書。Moreover, Shaphan the scribe told the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read it in the presence of the king.

王撕裂衣服、求問耶和華

¹¹王聽見律法書上的話，便撕裂衣服，When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes

¹²吩咐祭司希勒家與沙番的兒子亞希甘、米該亞的兒子亞革波、書記沙番和王的臣僕亞撒雅，說：and commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Achbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the servant of the king:

¹³「你們去為我、為民、為猶大眾人，以這書上的話求問耶和華；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的言語，沒有遵著書上所吩咐我們的去行，耶和華就向我們大發烈怒。」“Go and inquire of the LORD for me, for the people, and for all Judah concerning the words in this book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the LORD that burns against us because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book by doing all that is written about us.”

女先知戶勒大的回答

¹⁴於是，祭司希勒家和亞希甘、亞革波、沙番、亞撒雅都去見女先知戶勒大。戶勒大是掌管禮服沙龍的妻；沙龍是哈珥哈斯的孫子、特瓦的兒子。戶勒大住在耶路撒冷第二區。他們請問於她。So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went and spoke to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, the keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the Second District.

¹⁵她對他們說：「耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：『你們可以回覆那差遣你們來見我的人說，And Huldah said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Tell the man who sent you

¹⁶耶和華如此說：我必照著猶大王所讀那書上的一切話，降禍與這地和其上的居民。that this is what the LORD says: I am about to bring calamity on this place and on its people, according to all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read,

¹⁷因為他們離棄我，向別神燒香，用他們手所做的惹我發怒，所以我的忿怒必向這地發作，總不止息。』because they have forsaken Me and burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands. My wrath will be kindled against this place and will not be quenched.’

¹⁸然而，差遣你們來求問耶和華的猶大王，你們要這樣回覆他說：『耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：至於你所聽見的話，But as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, tell him that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘As for the words that you heard,

¹⁹就是聽見我指著這地和其上的居民所說、要使這地變為荒場、民受咒詛的話，你便心裡敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我應允了你。這是我─耶和華說的。because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its people, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and because you have torn your clothes and wept before Me, I have heard you,’ declares the LORD.

²⁰我必使你平平安安地歸到墳墓到你列祖那裡；我要降與這地的一切災禍，你也不致親眼看見。』」他們就回覆王去了。‘Therefore I will indeed gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes will not see all the calamity that I will bring on this place.’” So they brought her answer back to the king.

王與百姓在耶和華面前立約

¹王差遣人招聚猶大和耶路撒冷的眾長老來。Then the king summoned all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.

²王和猶大眾人與耶路撒冷的居民，並祭司、先知，和所有的百姓，無論大小，都一同上到耶和華的殿；王就把耶和華殿裡所得的約書念給他們聽。And he went up to the house of the LORD with all the people of Judah and Jerusalem, as well as the priests and the prophets—all the people small and great—and in their hearing he read all the words of the Book of the Covenant that had been found in the house of the LORD.

³王站在柱旁，在耶和華面前立約，要盡心盡性地順從耶和華，遵守他的誡命、法度、律例，成就這書上所記的約言。眾民都服從這約。So the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the LORD to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments, decrees, and statutes with all his heart and all his soul, and to carry out the words of the covenant that were written in this book. And all the people entered into the covenant.

清除聖殿和猶大的偶像

⁴王吩咐大祭司希勒家和副祭司，並把門的，將那為巴力和亞舍拉，並天上萬象所造的器皿，都從耶和華殿裡搬出來，在耶路撒冷外汲淪溪旁的田間燒了，把灰拿到伯特利去。Then the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests second in rank, and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the LORD all the articles made for Baal, Asherah, and all the host of heaven. And he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron and carried their ashes to Bethel.

⁵從前猶大列王所立拜偶像的祭司，在猶大城邑的邱壇和耶路撒冷的周圍燒香，現在王都廢去，又廢去向巴力和日、月、行星（或譯：十二宮），並天上萬象燒香的人；Josiah also did away with the idolatrous priests ordained by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the cities of Judah and in the places all around Jerusalem—those who had burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations, and to all the host of heaven.

⁶又從耶和華殿裡將亞舍拉搬到耶路撒冷外汲淪溪邊焚燒，打碎成灰，將灰撒在平民的墳上；He brought the Asherah pole from the house of the LORD to the Kidron Valley outside Jerusalem, and there he burned it, ground it to powder, and threw its dust on the graves of the common people.

⁷又拆毀耶和華殿裡孌童的屋子，就是婦女為亞舍拉織帳子的屋子，He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes that were in the house of the LORD, where the women had woven tapestries for Asherah.

⁸並且從猶大的城邑帶眾祭司來，污穢祭司燒香的邱壇，從迦巴直到別是巴，又拆毀城門旁的邱壇，這邱壇在邑宰約書亞門前，進城門的左邊。Then Josiah brought all the priests from the cities of Judah and desecrated the high places, from Geba to Beersheba, where the priests had burned incense. He tore down the high places of the gates at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which was to the left of the city gate.

⁹但是邱壇的祭司不登耶路撒冷耶和華的壇，只在他們弟兄中間吃無酵餅。Although the priests of the high places did not come up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, they ate unleavened bread with their fellow priests.

¹⁰又污穢欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裡使兒女經火獻給摩洛；He also desecrated Topheth in the Valley of Ben-hinnom so that no one could sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire to Molech.

¹¹又將猶大列王在耶和華殿門旁、太監拿單．米勒靠近遊廊的屋子、向日頭所獻的馬廢去，且用火焚燒日車。And he removed from the entrance to the house of the LORD the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court near the chamber of an official named Nathan-melech. And Josiah burned up the chariots of the sun.

¹²猶大列王在亞哈斯樓頂上所築的壇和瑪拿西在耶和華殿兩院中所築的壇，王都拆毀打碎了，就把灰倒在汲淪溪中。He pulled down the altars that the kings of Judah had set up on the roof near the upper chamber of Ahaz, and the altars that Manasseh had set up in the two courtyards of the house of the LORD. The king pulverized them there and threw their dust into the Kidron Valley.

¹³從前以色列王所羅門在耶路撒冷前、邪僻山右邊為西頓人可憎的神亞斯她錄、摩押人可憎的神基抹、亞捫人可憎的神米勒公所築的邱壇，王都污穢了，The king also desecrated the high places east of Jerusalem, to the south of the Mount of Corruption, which King Solomon of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

¹⁴又打碎柱像，砍下木偶，將人的骨頭充滿了那地方。He smashed the sacred pillars to pieces, cut down the Asherah poles, and covered the sites with human bones.

拆毀伯特利的壇

¹⁵他將伯特利的壇，就是叫以色列人陷在罪裡、尼八的兒子耶羅波安所築的那壇，都拆毀焚燒，打碎成灰，並焚燒了亞舍拉。He even pulled down the altar at Bethel, the high place set up by Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin. Then he burned the high place, ground it to powder, and burned the Asherah pole.

¹⁶約西亞回頭，看見山上的墳墓，就打發人將墳墓裡的骸骨取出來，燒在壇上，污穢了壇，正如從前神人宣傳耶和華的話。And as Josiah turned, he saw the tombs there on the hillside, and he sent someone to take the bones out of the tombs, and he burned them on the altar to defile it, according to the word of the LORD proclaimed by the man of God who had foretold these things.

¹⁷約西亞問說：「我所看見的是甚麼碑？」那城裡的人回答說：「先前有神人從猶大來，預先說王現在向伯特利壇所行的事，這就是他的墓碑。」Then the king asked, “What is this monument I see?” And the men of the city replied, “It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and proclaimed these things that you have done to the altar of Bethel.”

¹⁸約西亞說：「由他吧！不要挪移他的骸骨。」他們就不動他的骸骨，也不動從撒馬利亞來那先知的骸骨。“Let him rest,” said Josiah. “Do not let anyone disturb his bones.” So they left his bones undisturbed, along with those of the prophet who had come from Samaria.

¹⁹從前以色列諸王在撒馬利亞的城邑建築邱壇的殿，惹動耶和華的怒氣，現在約西亞都廢去了，就如他在伯特利所行的一般；Just as Josiah had done at Bethel, so also in the cities of Samaria he removed all the shrines of the high places set up by the kings of Israel who had provoked the LORD to anger.

²⁰又將邱壇的祭司都殺在壇上，並在壇上燒人的骨頭，就回耶路撒冷去了。On the altars he slaughtered all the priests of the high places, and he burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.

守逾越節

²¹王吩咐眾民說：「你們當照這約書上所寫的，向耶和華─你們的　神守逾越節。」The king commanded all the people, “Keep the Passover of the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.”

²²自從士師治理以色列人和以色列王、猶大王的時候，直到如今，實在沒有守過這樣的逾越節；No such Passover had been observed from the days of the judges who had governed Israel through all the days of the kings of Israel and Judah.

²³只有約西亞王十八年在耶路撒冷向耶和華守這逾越節。But in the eighteenth year of Josiah’s reign, this Passover was observed to the LORD in Jerusalem.

成就律法書的話，空前絕後的王

²⁴凡猶大國和耶路撒冷所有交鬼的、行巫術的，與家中的神像和偶像，並一切可憎之物，約西亞盡都除掉，成就了祭司希勒家在耶和華殿裡所得律法書上所寫的話。Furthermore, Josiah removed the mediums and spiritists, the household gods and idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem. He did this to carry out the words of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had found in the house of the LORD.

²⁵在約西亞以前沒有王像他盡心、盡性、盡力地歸向耶和華，遵行摩西的一切律法；在他以後也沒有興起一個王像他。Neither before nor after Josiah was there any king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, according to all the Law of Moses.

神的怒氣仍不止息

²⁶然而，耶和華向猶大所發猛烈的怒氣仍不止息，是因瑪拿西諸事惹動他。Nevertheless, the LORD did not turn away from the fury of His burning anger, which was kindled against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to provoke Him to anger.

²⁷耶和華說：「我必將猶大人從我面前趕出，如同趕出以色列人一般；我必棄掉我從前所選擇的這城─耶路撒冷和我所說立我名的殿。」For the LORD had said, “I will remove Judah from My sight, just as I removed Israel. I will reject this city Jerusalem, which I chose, and the temple of which I said, ‘My Name shall be there.’”

約西亞死在米吉多

²⁸約西亞其餘的事，凡他所行的都寫在猶大列王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Josiah and all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

³⁰他的臣僕用車將他的屍首從米吉多送到耶路撒冷，葬在他自己的墳墓裡。國民膏約西亞的兒子約哈斯接續他父親作王。From Megiddo his servants carried his body in a chariot, brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah, anointed him, and made him king in place of his father.

我去是與你們有益的

⁵現今我往差我來的父那裡去，你們中間並沒有人問我：『你往哪裡去？』Now, however, I am going to Him who sent Me; yet none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’

⁶只因我將這事告訴你們，你們就滿心憂愁。Instead, your hearts are filled with sorrow because I have told you these things.

⁷然而，我將真情告訴你們，我去是與你們有益的；我若不去，保惠師就不到你們這裡來；我若去，就差他來。But I tell you the truth, it is for your benefit that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

聖靈要叫世人自己責備自己

⁸他既來了，就要叫世人為罪、為義、為審判，自己責備自己。And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:

⁹為罪，是因他們不信我；in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me;

¹⁰為義，是因我往父那裡去，你們就不再見我；in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me;

¹¹為審判，是因這世界的王受了審判。and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.

真理的聖靈要引導你們

¹²「我還有好些事要告訴你們，但你們現在擔當不了（或譯：不能領會）。I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.

¹³只等真理的聖靈來了，他要引導你們明白（原文是進入）一切的真理；因為他不是憑自己說的，乃是把他所聽見的都說出來，並要把將來的事告訴你們。However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.

¹⁴他要榮耀我，因為他要將受於我的告訴你們。He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.

¹⁵凡父所有的，都是我的；所以我說，他要將受於我的告訴你們。」Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.

等不多時

¹⁶「等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我。」In a little while you will see Me no more, and then after a little while you will see Me.”

¹⁷有幾個門徒就彼此說：「他對我們說：『等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我』；又說：『因我往父那裡去。』這是甚麼意思呢？」Then some of His disciples asked one another, “Why is He telling us, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”

¹⁸門徒彼此說：「他說『等不多時』到底是甚麼意思呢？我們不明白他所說的話。」They kept asking, “Why is He saying, ‘a little while’? We do not understand what He is saying.”

¹⁹耶穌看出他們要問他，就說：「我說『等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我』，你們為這話彼此相問嗎？Aware that they wanted to question Him, Jesus said to them, “Are you asking one another why I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’?

憂愁要變為喜樂

²⁰我實實在在地告訴你們，你們將要痛哭、哀號，世人倒要喜樂；你們將要憂愁，然而你們的憂愁要變為喜樂。Truly, truly, I tell you, you will weep and wail while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

²¹婦人生產的時候就憂愁，因為她的時候到了；既生了孩子，就不再記念那苦楚，因為歡喜世上生了一個人。A woman has pain in childbirth because her time has come; but when she brings forth her child, she forgets her anguish because of her joy that a child has been born into the world.

²²你們現在也是憂愁，但我要再見你們，你們的心就喜樂了；這喜樂也沒有人能奪去。So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

²³到那日，你們甚麼也就不問我了。我實實在在地告訴你們，你們若向父求甚麼，他必因我的名賜給你們。In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

²⁴向來你們沒有奉我的名求甚麼，如今你們求，就必得著，叫你們的喜樂可以滿足。」Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

不再用比喻

²⁵「這些事，我是用比喻對你們說的；時候將到，我不再用比喻對你們說，乃要將父明明地告訴你們。I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. An hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you this way, but will tell you plainly about the Father.

²⁶到那日，你們要奉我的名祈求；我並不對你們說，我要為你們求父。In that day you will ask in My name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

²⁷父自己愛你們；因為你們已經愛我，又信我是從父出來的。For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God.

²⁸我從父出來，到了世界；我又離開世界，往父那裡去。」I came from the Father and entered the world. In turn, I will leave the world and go to the Father.”

門徒說：我們信

²⁹門徒說：「如今你是明說，並不用比喻了。His disciples said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and without figures of speech.

³⁰現在我們曉得你凡事都知道，也不用人問你，因此我們信你是從　神出來的。」Now we understand that You know all things and that You have no need for anyone to question You. Because of this, we believe that You came from God.”

³¹耶穌說：「現在你們信嗎？“Do you finally believe?” Jesus replied.

我已經勝了世界

³²看哪，時候將到，且是已經到了，你們要分散，各歸自己的地方去，留下我獨自一人；其實我不是獨自一人，因為有父與我同在。“Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

³³我將這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裡面有平安。在世上，你們有苦難；但你們可以放心，我已經勝了世界。」I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
