羅得接待天使

¹那兩個天使晚上到了所多瑪；羅得正坐在所多瑪城門口，看見他們，就起來迎接，臉伏於地下拜，Now the two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When Lot saw them, he got up to meet them, bowed facedown,

²說：「我主啊，請你們到僕人家裡洗洗腳，住一夜，清早起來再走。」他們說：「不！我們要在街上過夜。」and said, “My lords, please turn aside into the house of your servant; wash your feet and spend the night. Then you can rise early and go on your way.” “No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”

³羅得切切地請他們，他們這才進去，到他屋裡。羅得為他們預備筵席，烤無酵餅，他們就吃了。But Lot insisted so strongly that they followed him into his house. He prepared a feast for them and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

所多瑪人的惡行

⁴他們還沒有躺下，所多瑪城裡各處的人，連老帶少，都來圍住那房子，Before they had gone to bed, all the men of the city of Sodom, both young and old, surrounded the house.

⁵呼叫羅得說：「今日晚上到你這裡來的人在哪裡呢？把他們帶出來，任我們所為。」They called out to Lot, saying, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Send them out to us so we can have relations with them!”

⁶羅得出來，把門關上，到眾人那裡，Lot went outside to meet them, shutting the door behind him.

⁷說：「眾弟兄，請你們不要做這惡事。“Please, my brothers,” he pleaded, “don’t do such a wicked thing!

⁸我有兩個女兒，還是處女，容我領出來，任憑你們的心願而行；只是這兩個人既然到我舍下，不要向他們做甚麼。」Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them to you, and you can do to them as you please. But do not do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

⁹眾人說：「退去吧！」又說：「這個人來寄居，還想要作官哪！現在我們要害你比害他們更甚。」眾人就向前擁擠羅得，要攻破房門。“Get out of the way!” they replied. And they declared, “This one came here as a foreigner, and he is already acting like a judge! Now we will treat you worse than them.” And they pressed in on Lot and moved in to break down the door.

¹⁰只是那二人伸出手來，將羅得拉進屋去，把門關上，But the men inside reached out, pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door.

¹¹並且使門外的人，無論老少，眼都昏迷；他們摸來摸去，總尋不著房門。And they struck the men at the entrance, young and old, with blindness, so that they wearied themselves trying to find the door.

天使催羅得離城

¹²二人對羅得說：「你這裡還有甚麼人嗎？無論是女婿是兒女，和這城中一切屬你的人，你都要將他們從這地方帶出去。Then the two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—a son-in-law, your sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,

¹³我們要毀滅這地方；因為城內罪惡的聲音在耶和華面前甚大，耶和華差我們來，要毀滅這地方。」because we are about to destroy this place. For the outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that He has sent us to destroy it.”

¹⁴羅得就出去，告訴娶了（或譯：將要娶）他女兒的女婿們說：「你們起來離開這地方，因為耶和華要毀滅這城。」他女婿們卻以為他說的是戲言。So Lot went out and spoke to the sons-in-law who were pledged in marriage to his daughters. “Get up,” he said. “Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

¹⁵天明了，天使催逼羅得說：「起來！帶著你的妻子和你在這裡的兩個女兒出去，免得你因這城裡的罪惡同被剿滅。」At daybreak the angels hurried Lot along, saying, “Get up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.”

¹⁶但羅得遲延不走。二人因為耶和華憐恤羅得，就拉著他的手和他妻子的手，並他兩個女兒的手，把他們領出來，安置在城外；But when Lot hesitated, the men grabbed his hand and the hands of his wife and his two daughters. And they led them safely out of the city, because of the LORD’s compassion for them.

逃往瑣珥

¹⁷領他們出來以後，就說：「逃命吧！不可回頭看，也不可在平原站住。要往山上逃跑，免得你被剿滅。」As soon as the men had brought them out, one of them said, “Run for your lives! Do not look back, and do not stop anywhere on the plain! Flee to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”

¹⁸羅得對他們說：「我主啊，不要如此！But Lot replied, “No, my lords, please!

¹⁹你僕人已經在你眼前蒙恩；你又向我顯出莫大的慈愛，救我的性命。我不能逃到山上去，恐怕這災禍臨到我，我便死了。Your servant has indeed found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness by sparing my life. But I cannot run to the mountains; the disaster will overtake me, and I will die.

²⁰看哪，這座城又小又近，容易逃到，這不是一個小的嗎？求你容我逃到那裡，我的性命就得存活。」Look, there is a town nearby where I can flee, and it is a small place. Please let me flee there—is it not a small place? Then my life will be saved.”

²¹天使對他說：「這事我也應允你；我不傾覆你所說的這城。“Very well,” he answered, “I will grant this request as well, and will not demolish the town you indicate.

²²你要速速地逃到那城；因為你還沒有到那裡，我不能做甚麼。」因此那城名叫瑣珥（就是小的意思）。Hurry! Run there quickly, for I cannot do anything until you reach it.” That is why the town was called Zoar.

硫磺與火從天降下

²³羅得到了瑣珥，日頭已經出來了。And by the time the sun had risen over the land, Lot had reached Zoar.

²⁴當時，耶和華將硫磺與火從天上耶和華那裡降與所多瑪和蛾摩拉，Then the LORD rained down sulfur and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens.

²⁵把那些城和全平原，並城裡所有的居民，連地上生長的，都毀滅了。Thus He destroyed these cities and the entire plain, including all the inhabitants of the cities and everything that grew on the ground.

²⁶羅得的妻子在後邊回頭一看，就變成了一根鹽柱。But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

亞伯拉罕觀看平原

²⁷亞伯拉罕清早起來，到了他從前站在耶和華面前的地方，Early the next morning, Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the LORD.

²⁸向所多瑪和蛾摩拉與平原的全地觀看，不料，那地方煙氣上騰，如同燒窯一般。He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah and all the land of the plain, and he saw the smoke rising from the land like smoke from a furnace.

²⁹當　神毀滅平原諸城的時候，他記念亞伯拉罕，正在傾覆羅得所住之城的時候，就打發羅得從傾覆之中出來。So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, He remembered Abraham, and He brought Lot out of the catastrophe that destroyed the cities where he had lived.

羅得和兩個女兒

³⁰羅得因為怕住在瑣珥，就同他兩個女兒從瑣珥上去，住在山裡；他和兩個女兒住在一個洞裡。Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains—for he was afraid to stay in Zoar—where they lived in a cave.

³¹大女兒對小女兒說：「我們的父親老了，地上又無人按著世上的常規進到我們這裡。One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man in the land to sleep with us, as is the custom over all the earth.

³²來！我們可以叫父親喝酒，與他同寢。這樣，我們好從他存留後裔。」Come, let us get our father drunk with wine so we can sleep with him and preserve his line.”

³³於是，那夜她們叫父親喝酒，大女兒就進去和她父親同寢；她幾時躺下，幾時起來，父親都不知道。So that night they got their father drunk with wine, and the firstborn went in and slept with her father; he was not aware when she lay down or when she got up.

³⁴第二天，大女兒對小女兒說：「我昨夜與父親同寢。今夜我們再叫他喝酒，你可以進去與他同寢。這樣，我們好從父親存留後裔。」The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Look, I slept with my father last night. Let us get him drunk with wine again tonight so you can go in and sleep with him and we can preserve our father’s line.”

³⁵於是，那夜她們又叫父親喝酒，小女兒起來與她父親同寢；她幾時躺下，幾時起來，父親都不知道。So again that night they got their father drunk with wine, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him; he was not aware when she lay down or when she got up.

³⁶這樣，羅得的兩個女兒都從她父親懷了孕。Thus both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father.

³⁷大女兒生了兒子，給他起名叫摩押，就是現今摩押人的始祖。The older daughter gave birth to a son and named him Moab. He is the father of the Moabites of today.

³⁸小女兒也生了兒子，給他起名叫便‧亞米，就是現今亞捫人的始祖。The younger daughter also gave birth to a son, and she named him Ben-ammi. He is the father of the Ammonites of today.

神在夢中警告亞比米勒

³但夜間，　神來，在夢中對亞比米勒說：「你是個死人哪！因為你取了那女人來；她原是別人的妻子。」One night, however, God came to Abimelech in a dream and told him, “You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken, for she is a married woman.”

⁴亞比米勒卻還沒有親近撒拉；他說：「主啊，連有義的國，你也要毀滅嗎？Now Abimelech had not gone near her, so he replied, “Lord, would You destroy a nation even though it is innocent?

⁵那人豈不是自己對我說『她是我的妹子』嗎？就是女人也自己說：『他是我的哥哥。』我做這事是心正手潔的。」Didn’t Abraham tell me, ‘She is my sister’? And she herself said, ‘He is my brother.’ I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands.”

⁶神在夢中對他說：「我知道你做這事是心中正直；我也攔阻了你，免得你得罪我，所以我不容你沾著她。Then God said to Abimelech in the dream, “Yes, I know that you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against Me. That is why I did not let you touch her.

⁷現在你把這人的妻子歸還他；因為他是先知，他要為你禱告，使你存活。你若不歸還他，你當知道，你和你所有的人都必要死。」Now return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet; he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her, be aware that you will surely die—you and all who belong to you.”

亞比米勒責問亞伯拉罕

⁸亞比米勒清早起來，召了眾臣僕來，將這些事都說給他們聽，他們都甚懼怕。Early the next morning Abimelech got up and summoned all his servants; and when he described to them all that had happened, the men were terrified.

⁹亞比米勒召了亞伯拉罕來，對他說：「你怎麼向我這樣行呢？我在甚麼事上得罪了你，你竟使我和我國裡的人陷在大罪裡？你向我行不當行的事了！」Then Abimelech called Abraham and asked, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought such tremendous guilt upon me and my kingdom? You have done things to me that should not be done.”

¹⁰亞比米勒又對亞伯拉罕說：「你見了甚麼才做這事呢？」Abimelech also asked Abraham, “What prompted you to do such a thing?”

¹¹亞伯拉罕說：「我以為這地方的人總不懼怕　神，必為我妻子的緣故殺我。Abraham replied, “I thought to myself, ‘Surely there is no fear of God in this place. They will kill me on account of my wife.’

¹²況且她也實在是我的妹子；她與我是同父異母，後來作了我的妻子。Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father—though not the daughter of my mother—and she became my wife.

¹³當　神叫我離開父家、飄流在外的時候，我對她說：『我們無論走到甚麼地方，你可以對人說：他是我的哥哥；這就是你待我的恩典了。』」So when God had me journey from my father’s house, I said to Sarah, ‘This is how you can show your loyalty to me: Wherever we go, say of me, “He is my brother.”’”

歸還撒拉

¹⁴亞比米勒把牛、羊、僕婢賜給亞伯拉罕，又把他的妻子撒拉歸還他。So Abimelech brought sheep and cattle, menservants and maidservants, and he gave them to Abraham and restored his wife Sarah to him.

¹⁵亞比米勒又說：「看哪，我的地都在你面前，你可以隨意居住」；And Abimelech said, “Look, my land is before you. Settle wherever you please.”

¹⁶又對撒拉說：「我給你哥哥一千銀子，作為你在閤家人面前遮羞的（羞：原文是眼），你就在眾人面前沒有不是了。」And he said to Sarah, “See, I am giving your brother a thousand pieces of silver. It is your vindication before all who are with you; you are completely cleared.”

亞伯拉罕代禱

¹⁷亞伯拉罕禱告　神，　神就醫好了亞比米勒和他的妻子，並他的眾女僕，她們便能生育。Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his maidservants, so that they could again bear children—

¹⁸因耶和華為亞伯拉罕的妻子撒拉的緣故，已經使亞比米勒家中的婦人不能生育。for on account of Abraham’s wife Sarah, the LORD had completely closed all the wombs in Abimelech’s household.

不要論斷人

¹「你們不要論斷人，免得你們被論斷。“Do not judge, or you will be judged.

²因為你們怎樣論斷人，也必怎樣被論斷；你們用甚麼量器量給人，也必用甚麼量器量給你們。For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

³為甚麼看見你弟兄眼中有刺，卻不想自己眼中有樑木呢？Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?

⁴你自己眼中有樑木，怎能對你弟兄說：『容我去掉你眼中的刺』呢？How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?

⁵你這假冒為善的人！先去掉自己眼中的樑木，然後才能看得清楚，去掉你弟兄眼中的刺。You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

不要把聖物給狗

⁶不要把聖物給狗，也不要把你們的珍珠丟在豬前，恐怕牠踐踏了珍珠，轉過來咬你們。」Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

祈求、尋找、叩門

⁷「你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就尋見；叩門，就給你們開門。Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

⁸因為凡祈求的，就得著；尋找的，就尋見；叩門的，就給他開門。For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

⁹你們中間誰有兒子求餅，反給他石頭呢？Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

¹⁰求魚，反給他蛇呢？Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

¹¹你們雖然不好，尚且知道拿好東西給兒女，何況你們在天上的父，豈不更把好東西給求他的人嗎？So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

要進窄門

¹³「你們要進窄門。因為引到滅亡，那門是寬的，路是大的，進去的人也多；Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

¹⁴引到永生，那門是窄的，路是小的，找著的人也少。」But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.

憑果子認出假先知

¹⁵「你們要防備假先知。他們到你們這裡來，外面披著羊皮，裡面卻是殘暴的狼。Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

¹⁶憑著他們的果子，就可以認出他們來。荊棘上豈能摘葡萄呢？蒺藜裡豈能摘無花果呢？By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

¹⁷這樣，凡好樹都結好果子，惟獨壞樹結壞果子。Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

¹⁸好樹不能結壞果子；壞樹不能結好果子。A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

¹⁹凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裡。Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

²⁰所以，憑著他們的果子就可以認出他們來。」So then, by their fruit you will recognize them.

遵行天父旨意的人

²¹「凡稱呼我『主啊，主啊』的人不能都進天國；惟獨遵行我天父旨意的人才能進去。Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

²²當那日必有許多人對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道，奉你的名趕鬼，奉你的名行許多異能嗎？』Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’

²³我就明明地告訴他們說：『我從來不認識你們，你們這些作惡的人，離開我去吧！』」Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’

蓋在磐石上的房子

²⁴「所以，凡聽見我這話就去行的，好比一個聰明人，把房子蓋在磐石上；Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

²⁵雨淋，水沖，風吹，撞著那房子，房子總不倒塌，因為根基立在磐石上。The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.

²⁶凡聽見我這話不去行的，好比一個無知的人，把房子蓋在沙土上；But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

²⁷雨淋，水沖，風吹，撞著那房子，房子就倒塌了，並且倒塌得很大。」The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!”

眾人希奇祂的教訓

²⁸耶穌講完了這些話，眾人都希奇他的教訓；When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,

²⁹因為他教訓他們，正像有權柄的人，不像他們的文士。because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
