以撒出生

¹耶和華按著先前的話眷顧撒拉，便照他所說的給撒拉成就。Now the LORD attended to Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what He had promised.

²當亞伯拉罕年老的時候，撒拉懷了孕；到　神所說的日期，就給亞伯拉罕生了一個兒子。So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised.

³亞伯拉罕給撒拉所生的兒子起名叫以撒。And Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore to him.

⁴以撒生下來第八日，亞伯拉罕照著　神所吩咐的，給以撒行了割禮。When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God had commanded him.

⁵他兒子以撒生的時候，亞伯拉罕年一百歲。Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

⁶撒拉說：「　神使我喜笑，凡聽見的必與我一同喜笑」；Then Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears of this will laugh with me.”

⁷又說：「誰能預先對亞伯拉罕說『撒拉要乳養嬰孩』呢？因為在他年老的時候，我給他生了一個兒子。」She added, “Who would have told Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”

夏甲和以實瑪利被趕出去

⁸孩子漸長，就斷了奶。以撒斷奶的日子，亞伯拉罕設擺豐盛的筵席。So the child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.

⁹當時，撒拉看見埃及人夏甲給亞伯拉罕所生的兒子戲笑，But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking her son,

¹⁰就對亞伯拉罕說：「你把這使女和她兒子趕出去！因為這使女的兒子不可與我的兒子以撒一同承受產業。」and she said to Abraham, “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac!”

¹¹亞伯拉罕因他兒子的緣故很憂愁。Now this matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son Ishmael.

¹²神對亞伯拉罕說：「你不必為這童子和你的使女憂愁。凡撒拉對你說的話，你都該聽從；因為從以撒生的，才要稱為你的後裔。But God said to Abraham, “Do not be distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to everything that Sarah tells you, for through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.

神在曠野看顧夏甲

¹⁴亞伯拉罕清早起來，拿餅和一皮袋水，給了夏甲，搭在她的肩上，又把孩子交給她，打發她走。夏甲就走了，在別是巴的曠野走迷了路。Early in the morning, Abraham got up, took bread and a skin of water, put them on Hagar’s shoulders, and sent her away with the boy. She left and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.

¹⁵皮袋的水用盡了，夏甲就把孩子撇在小樹底下，When the water in the skin was gone, she left the boy under one of the bushes.

¹⁶自己走開約有一箭之遠，相對而坐，說：「我不忍見孩子死」，就相對而坐，放聲大哭。Then she went off and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she said, “I cannot bear to watch the boy die!” And as she sat nearby, she lifted up her voice and wept.

¹⁷神聽見童子的聲音；　神的使者從天上呼叫夏甲說：「夏甲，你為何這樣呢？不要害怕，　神已經聽見童子的聲音了。Then God heard the voice of the boy, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, “What is wrong, Hagar? Do not be afraid, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he lies.

¹⁸起來！把童子抱在懷中（懷：原文是手），我必使他的後裔成為大國。」Get up, lift up the boy, and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

¹⁹神使夏甲的眼睛明亮，她就看見一口水井，便去將皮袋盛滿了水，給童子喝。Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

²⁰神保佑童子，他就漸長，住在曠野，成了弓箭手。And God was with the boy, and he grew up and settled in the wilderness and became a great archer.

²¹他住在巴蘭的曠野；他母親從埃及地給他娶了一個妻子。And while he was dwelling in the Wilderness of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from the land of Egypt.

在別是巴與亞比米勒立約

²²當那時候，亞比米勒同他軍長非各對亞伯拉罕說：「凡你所行的事都有　神的保佑。At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do.

²³我願你如今在這裡指著　神對我起誓，不要欺負我與我的兒子，並我的子孫。我怎樣厚待了你，你也要照樣厚待我與你所寄居這地的民。」Now, therefore, swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or descendants. Show to me and to the country in which you reside the same kindness that I have shown to you.”

²⁴亞伯拉罕說：「我情願起誓。」And Abraham replied, “I swear it.”

²⁵從前，亞比米勒的僕人霸佔了一口水井，亞伯拉罕為這事指責亞比米勒。But when Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well that Abimelech’s servants had seized,

²⁶亞比米勒說：「誰做這事，我不知道，你也沒有告訴我，今日我才聽見了。」Abimelech replied, “I do not know who has done this. You did not tell me, so I have not heard about it until today.”

²⁷亞伯拉罕把羊和牛給了亞比米勒，二人就彼此立約。So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant.

²⁸亞伯拉罕把七隻母羊羔另放在一處。Abraham separated seven ewe lambs from the flock,

²⁹亞比米勒問亞伯拉罕說：「你把這七隻母羊羔另放在一處，是甚麼意思呢？」and Abimelech asked him, “Why have you set apart these seven ewe lambs?”

³⁰他說：「你要從我手裡受這七隻母羊羔，作我挖這口井的證據。」He replied, “You are to accept the seven ewe lambs from my hand as my witness that I dug this well.”

³¹所以他給那地方起名叫別是巴（就是盟誓的井的意思），因為他們二人在那裡起了誓。So that place was called Beersheba, because it was there that the two of them swore an oath.

³²他們在別是巴立了約，亞比米勒就同他軍長非各起身回非利士地去了。After they had made the covenant at Beersheba, Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army got up and returned to the land of the Philistines.

³³亞伯拉罕在別是巴栽上一棵垂絲柳樹，又在那裡求告耶和華─永生　神的名。And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.

³⁴亞伯拉罕在非利士人的地寄居了多日。And Abraham resided in the land of the Philistines for a long time.

神試驗亞伯拉罕

¹這些事以後，　神要試驗亞伯拉罕，就呼叫他說：「亞伯拉罕！」他說：「我在這裡。」Some time later God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he answered.

²神說：「你帶著你的兒子，就是你獨生的兒子，你所愛的以撒，往摩利亞地去，在我所要指示你的山上，把他獻為燔祭。」“Take your son,” God said, “your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

³亞伯拉罕清早起來，備上驢，帶著兩個僕人和他兒子以撒，也劈好了燔祭的柴，就起身往　神所指示他的地方去了。So Abraham got up early the next morning, saddled his donkey, and took along two of his servants and his son Isaac. He split the wood for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had designated.

⁴到了第三日，亞伯拉罕舉目遠遠地看見那地方。On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

⁵亞伯拉罕對他的僕人說：「你們和驢在此等候，我與童子往那裡去拜一拜，就回到你們這裡來。」“Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told his servants. “The boy and I will go over there to worship, and then we will return to you.”

⁶亞伯拉罕把燔祭的柴放在他兒子以撒身上，自己手裡拿著火與刀；於是二人同行。Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac. He himself carried the fire and the sacrificial knife, and the two of them walked on together.

⁷以撒對他父親亞伯拉罕說：「父親哪！」亞伯拉罕說：「我兒，我在這裡。」以撒說：「請看，火與柴都有了，但燔祭的羊羔在哪裡呢？」Then Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” “Here I am, my son,” he replied. “The fire and the wood are here,” said Isaac, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

⁸亞伯拉罕說：「我兒，　神必自己預備作燔祭的羊羔。」於是二人同行。Abraham answered, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two walked on together.

捆綁以撒

⁹他們到了　神所指示的地方，亞伯拉罕在那裡築壇，把柴擺好，捆綁他的兒子以撒，放在壇的柴上。When they arrived at the place God had designated, Abraham built the altar there and arranged the wood. He bound his son Isaac and placed him on the altar, atop the wood.

¹⁰亞伯拉罕就伸手拿刀，要殺他的兒子。Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son.

耶和華的使者攔阻

¹¹耶和華的使者從天上呼叫他說：「亞伯拉罕！亞伯拉罕！」他說：「我在這裡。」Just then the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, “Abraham, Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied.

¹²天使說：「你不可在這童子身上下手。一點不可害他！現在我知道你是敬畏　神的了；因為你沒有將你的兒子，就是你獨生的兒子，留下不給我。」“Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him,” said the angel, “for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from me.”

¹³亞伯拉罕舉目觀看，不料，有一隻公羊，兩角扣在稠密的小樹中。亞伯拉罕就取了那隻公羊來，獻為燔祭，代替他的兒子。Then Abraham looked up and saw behind him a ram in a thicket, caught by its horns. So he went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.

¹⁴亞伯拉罕給那地方起名叫「耶和華以勒」（就是耶和華必預備的意思），直到今日人還說：「在耶和華的山上必有預備。」And Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. So to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”

神指著自己起誓賜福

¹⁵耶和華的使者第二次從天上呼叫亞伯拉罕說：And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time,

¹⁶「耶和華說：『你既行了這事，不留下你的兒子，就是你獨生的兒子，我便指著自己起誓說：saying, “By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your only son,

¹⁷論福，我必賜大福給你；論子孫，我必叫你的子孫多起來，如同天上的星，海邊的沙。你子孫必得著仇敵的城門，I will surely bless you, and I will multiply your descendants like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will possess the gates of their enemies.

¹⁸並且地上萬國都必因你的後裔得福，因為你聽從了我的話。』」And through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

¹⁹於是亞伯拉罕回到他僕人那裡，他們一同起身往別是巴去，亞伯拉罕就住在別是巴。Abraham went back to his servants, and they got up and set out together for Beersheba. And Abraham settled in Beersheba.

拿鶴的後代

²⁰這事以後，有人告訴亞伯拉罕說：「密迦給你兄弟拿鶴生了幾個兒子，Some time later, Abraham was told, “Milcah has also borne sons to your brother Nahor:

²¹長子是烏斯，他的兄弟是布斯和亞蘭的父親基母利，Uz the firstborn, his brother Buz, Kemuel (the father of Aram),

²²並基薛、哈瑣、必達、益拉、彼土利（彼土利生利百加）。」Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.”

²³這八個人都是密迦給亞伯拉罕的兄弟拿鶴生的。And Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. Milcah bore these eight sons to Abraham’s brother Nahor.

²⁴拿鶴的妾名叫流瑪，生了提八、迦含、他轄，和瑪迦。Moreover, Nahor’s concubine, whose name was Reumah, bore Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.

撒拉去世

¹撒拉享壽一百二十七歲，這是撒拉一生的歲數。Now Sarah lived to be 127 years old.

²撒拉死在迦南地的基列‧亞巴，就是希伯崙。亞伯拉罕為她哀慟哭號。She died in Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went out to mourn and to weep for her.

向赫人求一塊墳地

³後來亞伯拉罕從死人面前起來，對赫人說：Then Abraham got up from beside his dead wife and said to the Hittites,

⁴「我在你們中間是外人，是寄居的。求你們在這裡給我一塊地，我好埋葬我的死人，使她不在我眼前。」“I am a foreigner and an outsider among you. Give me a burial site among you so that I can bury my dead.”

⁵赫人回答亞伯拉罕說：The Hittites replied to Abraham,

⁶「我主請聽。你在我們中間是一位尊大的王子，只管在我們最好的墳地裡埋葬你的死人；我們沒有一人不容你在他的墳地裡埋葬你的死人。」“Listen to us, sir. You are God’s chosen one among us. Bury your dead in the finest of our tombs. None of us will withhold his tomb for burying your dead.”

⁷亞伯拉罕就起來，向那地的赫人下拜，Then Abraham rose and bowed down before the people of the land, the Hittites.

⁸對他們說：「你們若有意叫我埋葬我的死人，使她不在我眼前，就請聽我的話，為我求瑣轄的兒子以弗崙，“If you are willing for me to bury my dead,” he said to them, “listen to me, and approach Ephron son of Zohar on my behalf

⁹把田頭上那麥比拉洞給我，他可以按著足價賣給我，作我在你們中間的墳地。」to sell me the cave of Machpelah that belongs to him; it is at the end of his field. Let him sell it to me in your presence for full price, so that I may have a burial site.”

¹⁰當時以弗崙正坐在赫人中間。於是，赫人以弗崙在城門出入的赫人面前對亞伯拉罕說：Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth. So in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city, Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham,

¹¹「不然，我主請聽。我送給你這塊田，連田間的洞也送給你，在我同族的人面前都給你，可以埋葬你的死人。」“No, my lord. Listen to me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. I give it to you in the presence of my people. Bury your dead.”

¹²亞伯拉罕就在那地的人民面前下拜，Again Abraham bowed down before the people of the land

¹³在他們面前對以弗崙說：「你若應允，請聽我的話。我要把田價給你，求你收下，我就在那裡埋葬我的死人。」and said to Ephron in their presence, “If you will please listen to me, I will pay you the price of the field. Accept it from me, so that I may bury my dead there.”

¹⁴以弗崙回答亞伯拉罕說：Ephron answered Abraham,

¹⁵「我主請聽。值四百舍客勒銀子的一塊田，在你我中間還算甚麼呢？只管埋葬你的死人吧！」“Listen to me, my lord. The land is worth four hundred shekels of silver, but what is that between you and me? Bury your dead.”

買下麥比拉洞

¹⁶亞伯拉罕聽從了以弗崙，照著他在赫人面前所說的話，把買賣通用的銀子平了四百舍客勒給以弗崙。Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the standard of the merchants.

¹⁷於是，麥比拉、幔利前、以弗崙的那塊田和其中的洞，並田間四圍的樹木，So Ephron’s field at Machpelah near Mamre, the cave that was in it, and all the trees within the boundaries of the field were deeded over

¹⁸都定準歸與亞伯拉罕，乃是他在赫人面前並城門出入的人面前買妥的。to Abraham’s possession in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city.

¹⁹此後，亞伯拉罕把他妻子撒拉埋葬在迦南地幔利前的麥比拉田間的洞裡。（幔利就是希伯崙）。After this, Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave of the field at Machpelah near Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.

²⁰從此，那塊田和田間的洞就藉著赫人定準歸與亞伯拉罕作墳地。So the field and its cave were deeded by the Hittites to Abraham as a burial site.

潔淨長大痲瘋的人

¹耶穌下了山，有許多人跟著他。When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.

²有一個長大痲瘋的來拜他，說：「主若肯，必能叫我潔淨了。」Suddenly a leper came and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

³耶穌伸手摸他，說：「我肯，你潔淨了吧！」他的大痲瘋立刻就潔淨了。Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

⁴耶穌對他說：「你切不可告訴人，只要去把身體給祭司察看，獻上摩西所吩咐的禮物，對眾人作證據。」Then Jesus instructed him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift prescribed by Moses, as a testimony to them.”

百夫長的信心

⁵耶穌進了迦百農，有一個百夫長進前來，求他說：When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came and pleaded with Him,

⁶「主啊，我的僕人害癱瘓病，躺在家裡，甚是疼苦。」“Lord, my servant lies at home, paralyzed and in terrible agony.”

⁷耶穌說：「我去醫治他。」“I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied.

⁸百夫長回答說：「主啊，你到我舍下，我不敢當；只要你說一句話，我的僕人就必好了。The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

⁹因為我在人的權下，也有兵在我以下；對這個說：『去！』他就去；對那個說：『來！』他就來；對我的僕人說：『你做這事！』他就去做。」For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”

¹⁰耶穌聽見就希奇，對跟從的人說：「我實在告訴你們，這麼大的信心，就是在以色列中，我也沒有遇見過。When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

許多人從東從西來坐席

¹¹我又告訴你們，從東從西，將有許多人來，在天國裡與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各一同坐席；I say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

¹²惟有本國的子民竟被趕到外邊黑暗裡去，在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。」But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

¹³耶穌對百夫長說：「你回去吧！照你的信心，給你成全了。」那時，他的僕人就好了。Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, so will it be done for you.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.

醫好彼得的岳母

¹⁴耶穌到了彼得家裡，見彼得的岳母害熱病躺著。When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, He saw Peter’s mother-in-law sick in bed with a fever.

¹⁵耶穌把她的手一摸，熱就退了；她就起來服事耶穌。So He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve Him.

趕鬼醫病，應驗先知的話

¹⁶到了晚上，有人帶著許多被鬼附的來到耶穌跟前，他只用一句話就把鬼都趕出去，並且治好了一切有病的人。When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

¹⁷這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，說：他代替我們的軟弱，擔當我們的疾病。This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
