1众人都起来，把耶稣面前，Then the whole council rose and led Jesus away to Pilate.
2就告他说：“我们见这人，禁止纳税给凯撒，并说自己是，是王。”And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding payment of taxes to Caesar, and proclaiming Himself to be Christ, a King.”
3彼拉多问耶稣说：“你是犹太人的王吗？”耶稣回答说：“你说的是。”So Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.
4彼拉多对祭司长和众人说：“我查不出这人有什么罪来。”Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”
5但他们越发极力地说：“他百姓，在犹太遍地传道，从加利利起，直到这里了。”But they kept insisting, “He stirs up the people all over Judea with His teaching. He began in Galilee and has come all the way here.”
6彼拉多一听见，就问：“这人是加利利人吗？”When Pilate heard this, he asked if the man was a Galilean.
7既晓得耶稣属所管，就把他送到希律那里去。那时希律正在耶路撒冷。And learning that Jesus was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was in Jerusalem at that time.
8希律看见耶稣，就很欢喜；因为听见过他的事，久已想要见他，并且指望看他行一件神迹，When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased. He had wanted to see Him for a long time, because he had heard about Him and was hoping to see Him perform a miracle.
9于是问他许多的话，耶稣却一言不答。Herod questioned Jesus at great length, but He gave no answer.
10祭司长和文士都站着，极力地告他。Meanwhile, the chief priests and scribes stood there, vehemently accusing Him.
11希律和他的兵丁就藐视耶稣，戏弄他，给他穿上，把他送回彼拉多那里去。And even Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked Him. Dressing Him in a fine robe, they sent Him back to Pilate.
12从前希律和彼拉多，在那一天就成了朋友。That day Herod and Pilate became friends; before this time they had been enemies.
13彼拉多传齐了祭司长和官府并百姓，Then Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,
14就对他们说：“你们解这人到我这里，说他是诱惑百姓的。看哪，我也曾将你们告他的事，在你们面前审问他，并没有查出他什么罪来；and said to them, “You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion. I have examined Him here in your presence and found Him not guilty of your charges against Him.
15就是希律也是如此，所以把他送回来。可见他没有做什么该死的事。Neither has Herod, for he sent Him back to us. As you can see, He has done nothing deserving of death.
16故此，我要他，把他释放了。”（有古卷加：Therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”
17每逢这节期，巡抚必须释放一个囚犯给他们。）（BSB 英译本没有这一节）
18众人却一齐喊着说：“除掉这个人！释放给我们！”But they all cried out in unison: “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!”
19这巴拉巴是因在城里作乱杀人，下在监里的。(Barabbas had been imprisoned for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.)
20彼拉多愿意释放耶稣，就又劝解他们。Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate addressed them again,
21无奈他们喊着说：“！钉他十字架！”but they kept shouting, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
22彼拉多第三次对他们说：“为什么呢？这人做了什么恶事呢？我并没有查出他什么该死的罪来。所以，我要责打他，把他释放了。”A third time he said to them, “What evil has this man done? I have found in Him no offense worthy of death. So after I punish Him, I will release Him.”
23他们大声彼拉多，求他把耶稣钉在十字架上。他们的声音就得了胜。But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices for Jesus to be crucified. And their clamor prevailed.
24彼拉多这才照他们所求的，So Pilate sentenced that their demand be met.
25把他们所求的那作乱杀人、下在监里的释放了，把耶稣交给他们，任凭他们的意思行。As they had requested, he released the one imprisoned for insurrection and murder, and he handed Jesus over to their will.
26带耶稣去的时候，有一个人西门，从乡下来；他们就抓住他，把十字架搁在他身上，叫他背着跟随耶稣。As the soldiers led Him away, they seized Simon of Cyrene on his way in from the country, and they put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus.
27有许多百姓跟随耶稣，内中有好些妇女；妇女们为他痛哭。A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him.
28耶稣转身对她们说：“耶路撒冷的女子，不要为我哭，当为自己和自己的儿女哭。But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
29因为日子要到，人必说：‘不生育的，和未曾怀胎的，未曾乳养婴孩的，有福了！’Look, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed!’
30那时，人要向大山说：倒在我们身上！向小山说：遮盖我们！At that time ‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’
31“这些事既行在上，那枯干的树将来怎么样呢？”For if men do these things while the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
32又有两个犯人，和耶稣一同带来处死。Two others, who were criminals, were also led away to be executed with Jesus.
33到了一个地方，名叫“”，就在那里把耶稣钉在十字架上，又钉了两个犯人：一个在左边，一个在右边。When they came to the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left.
34当下耶稣说：“父啊！赦免他们；因为他们所做的，他们不晓得。”兵丁就分他的衣服。Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His garments by casting lots.
35百姓站在那里观看。官府也他，说：“他救了别人；他若是基督， 神所拣选的，可以救自己吧！”The people stood watching, and the rulers sneered at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.”
36兵丁也戏弄他，上前拿送给他喝，The soldiers also mocked Him and came up to offer Him sour wine.
37说：“你若是犹太人的王，可以救自己吧！”“If You are the King of the Jews,” they said, “save Yourself!”
38在耶稣以上有一个（有古卷加：用希腊、罗马、希伯来的文字）写着：“这是犹太人的王。”Above Him was posted an inscription: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39那同钉的两个犯人有一个讥笑他，说：“你不是基督吗？可以救自己和我们吧！”One of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!”
40那一个就应声责备他，说：“你既是一样受刑的，还不怕 神吗？But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment?
41我们是应该的，因我们所受的与我们所做的相称，但这个人没有做过一件不好的事。”We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
42就说：“耶稣啊，你得国降临的时候，求你记念我！”Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”
43耶稣对他说：“我实在告诉你，今日你要同我在里了。”And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
44那时约有，遍地都黑暗了，直到申初，It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land until the ninth hour.
45日头变黑了；从当中裂为两半。The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn down the middle.
46耶稣大声喊着说：“父啊！我将我的灵魂交在你手里。”说了这话，。Then Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” And when He had said this, He breathed His last.
47看见所成的事，就归荣耀与 神，说：“这真是个义人！”When the centurion saw what had happened, he gave glory to God, saying, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
48聚集观看的众人见了这所成的事都捶着胸回去了。And when all the people who had gathered for this spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts.
49还有一切与耶稣熟识的人，和从加利利跟着他来的妇女们，都远远地站着看这些事。But all those who knew Jesus, including the women who had followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance watching these things.
50有一个人名叫约瑟，是个议士，为人善良公义；Now there was a Council member named Joseph, a good and righteous man,
51众人所谋所为，他并没有附从。他本是犹太、亚利马太城里素常盼望 神国的人。who had not consented to their decision or action. He was from the Judean town of Arimathea and was waiting for the kingdom of God.
52这人去见彼拉多，求耶稣的身体，He went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.
53就取下来，用裹好，安放在石头凿成的坟墓里；那里头从来没有葬过人。Then he took it down, wrapped it in a linen cloth, and placed it in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had yet been laid.
54那日是，安息日也快到了。It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was beginning.
55那些从加利利和耶稣同来的妇女跟在后面，看见了坟墓和他的身体怎样安放。The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how His body was placed.
56她们就回去，预备了。她们在安息日，便遵着诫命安息了。Then they returned to prepare spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath, according to the commandment.
