神呼召约书亚接续摩西

¹耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华晓谕摩西的帮手，嫩的儿子约书亚，说：Now after the death of His servant Moses, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying,

²“我的仆人摩西死了。现在你要起来，和众百姓过这约旦河，往我所要赐给以色列人的地去。“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore arise, you and all these people, and cross over the Jordan into the land that I am giving to the children of Israel.

³凡你们脚掌所踏之地，我都照着我所应许摩西的话赐给你们了。I have given you every place where the sole of your foot will tread, just as I promised to Moses.

⁴从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到幼发拉底大河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落之处，都要作你们的境界。Your territory shall extend from the wilderness and Lebanon to the great River Euphrates—all the land of the Hittites—and west as far as the Great Sea.

⁵你平生的日子，必无一人能在你面前站立得住。我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在；我必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。No one shall stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so will I be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

刚强壮胆，昼夜思想律法

⁶你当刚强壮胆！因为你必使这百姓承受那地为业，就是我向他们列祖起誓应许赐给他们的地。Be strong and courageous, for you shall give these people the inheritance of the land that I swore to their fathers I would give them.

⁷只要刚强，大大壮胆，谨守遵行我仆人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏离左右，使你无论往哪里去，都可以顺利。Above all, be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe all the law that My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper wherever you go.

⁸这律法书不可离开你的口，总要昼夜思想，好使你谨守遵行这书上所写的一切话。如此，你的道路就可以亨通，凡事顺利。This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do.

⁹我岂没有吩咐你吗？你当刚强壮胆！不要惧怕，也不要惊惶；因为你无论往哪里去，耶和华—你的　神必与你同在。”Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

预备三日内过河

¹⁰于是，约书亚吩咐百姓的官长说：Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people:

¹¹“你们要走遍营中，吩咐百姓说：‘当预备食物；因为三日之内你们要过这约旦河，进去得耶和华—你们　神赐你们为业之地。’”“Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Prepare your provisions, for within three days you will cross the Jordan to go in and take possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.’”

两个半支派要先过河争战

¹²约书亚对流便人、迦得人，和玛拿西半支派的人说：But to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said,

¹³“你们要追念耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐你们的话说：‘耶和华—你们的　神使你们得享平安，也必将这地赐给你们。’“Remember what Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you when he said, ‘The LORD your God will give you rest, and He will give you this land.’

¹⁴你们的妻子、孩子，和牲畜都可以留在约旦河东、摩西所给你们的地；但你们中间一切大能的勇士都要带着兵器在你们的弟兄前面过去，帮助他们，Your wives, your young children, and your livestock may remain in the land that Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But all your mighty men of valor must be armed for battle to cross over ahead of your brothers and help them,

¹⁵等到耶和华使你们的弟兄像你们一样得享平安，并且得着耶和华—你们　神所赐他们为业之地，那时才可以回你们所得之地，承受为业，就是耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东、向日出之地所给你们的。”until the LORD gives them rest as He has done for you, and your brothers also possess the land that the LORD your God is giving them. Then you may return to the land of your inheritance and take possession of that which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the east side of the Jordan.”

百姓答应听从约书亚

¹⁶他们回答约书亚说：“你所吩咐我们行的，我们都必行；你所差遣我们去的，我们都必去。So they answered Joshua, “Everything you have commanded us we will do, and everywhere you send us we will go.

¹⁷我们从前在一切事上怎样听从摩西，现在也必照样听从你；惟愿耶和华—你的　神与你同在，像与摩西同在一样。Just as we obeyed Moses in all things, so we will obey you. And may the LORD your God be with you, as He was with Moses.

¹⁸无论什么人违背你的命令，不听从你所吩咐他的一切话，就必治死他。你只要刚强壮胆！”Anyone who rebels against your order and does not obey your words, all that you command him, will be put to death. Above all, be strong and courageous!”

两个探子进耶利哥

¹当下，嫩的儿子约书亚从什亭暗暗打发两个人作探子，吩咐说：“你们去窥探那地和耶利哥。”于是二人去了，来到一个妓女名叫喇合的家里，就在那里躺卧。Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim, saying, “Go, inspect the land, especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there.

²有人告诉耶利哥王说：“今夜有以色列人来到这里窥探此地。”And it was reported to the king of Jericho: “Behold, some men of Israel have come here tonight to spy out the land.”

³耶利哥王打发人去见喇合说：“那来到你这里、进了你家的人要交出来，因为他们来窥探全地。”So the king of Jericho sent to Rahab and said, “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, for they have come to spy out the whole land.”

⁴女人将二人隐藏，就回答说：“那人果然到我这里来；他们是哪里来的我却不知道。But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them. So she said, “Yes, the men did come to me, but I did not know where they had come from.

⁵天黑、要关城门的时候，他们出去了，往哪里去我却不知道。你们快快地去追赶，就必追上。”At dusk, when the gate was about to close, the men went out, and I do not know which way they went. Pursue them quickly, and you may catch them!”

⁶（先是女人领二人上了房顶，将他们藏在那里所摆的麻秸中。）(But Rahab had taken them up to the roof and hidden them among the stalks of flax that she had laid out there.)

⁷那些人就往约旦河的渡口追赶他们去了。追赶他们的人一出去，城门就关了。So the king’s men set out in pursuit of the spies along the road to the fords of the Jordan, and as soon as they had gone out, the gate was shut.

喇合的告白

⁸二人还没有躺卧，女人就上房顶，到他们那里，Before the spies lay down for the night, Rahab went up on the roof

⁹对他们说：“我知道耶和华已经把这地赐给你们，并且因你们的缘故我们都惊慌了。这地的一切居民在你们面前心都消化了；and said to them, “I know that the LORD has given you this land and that the fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who dwell in the land are melting in fear of you.

¹⁰因为我们听见你们出埃及的时候，耶和华怎样在你们前面使红海的水干了，并且你们怎样待约旦河东的两个亚摩利王西宏和噩，将他们尽行毁灭。For we have heard how the LORD dried up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites across the Jordan, whom you devoted to destruction.

¹¹我们一听见这些事，心就消化了。因你们的缘故，并无一人有胆气。耶和华—你们的　神本是上天下地的　神。When we heard this, our hearts melted and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the LORD your God is God in the heavens above and on the earth below.

求探子起誓保全她家

¹²现在我既是恩待你们，求你们指着耶和华向我起誓，也要恩待我父家，并给我一个实在的证据，Now therefore, please swear to me by the LORD that you will indeed show kindness to my family, because I showed kindness to you. Give me a sure sign

¹³要救活我的父母、弟兄、姊妹，和一切属他们的，拯救我们性命不死。”that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them, and that you will deliver us from death.”

¹⁴二人对她说：“你若不泄漏我们这件事，我们情愿替你们死。耶和华将这地赐给我们的时候，我们必以慈爱诚实待你。”“Our lives for your lives!” the men agreed. “If you do not report our mission, we will show you kindness and faithfulness when the LORD gives us the land.”

从窗户缒下

¹⁵于是女人用绳子将二人从窗户里缒下去；因她的房子是在城墙边上，她也住在城墙上。Then Rahab let them down by a rope through the window, since the house where she lived was built into the wall of the city.

¹⁶她对他们说：“你们且往山上去，恐怕追赶的人碰见你们；要在那里隐藏三天，等追赶的人回来，然后才可以走你们的路。”“Go to the hill country,” she said, “so that your pursuers will not find you. Hide yourselves there for three days until they have returned; then go on your way.”

¹⁷二人对她说：“你要这样行。不然，你叫我们所起的誓就与我们无干了。The men said to her, “We will not be bound by this oath you made us swear

¹⁸我们来到这地的时候，你要把这条朱红线绳系在缒我们下去的窗户上，并要使你的父母、弟兄，和你父的全家都聚集在你家中。unless, when we enter the land, you have tied this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you have brought your father and mother and brothers and all your family into your house.

¹⁹凡出了你家门往街上去的，他的罪（原文是血）必归到自己的头上，与我们无干了。凡在你家里的，若有人下手害他，流他血的罪就归到我们的头上。If anyone goes out the door of your house into the street, his blood will be on his own head, and we will be innocent. But if a hand is laid on anyone with you in the house, his blood will be on our heads.

²⁰你若泄漏我们这件事，你叫我们所起的誓就与我们无干了。”And if you report our mission, we will be released from the oath you made us swear.”

²¹女人说：“照你们的话行吧！”于是打发他们去了，又把朱红线绳系在窗户上。“Let it be as you say,” she replied, and she sent them away. And when they had gone, she tied the scarlet cord in the window.

探子藏身山上，回报约书亚

²²二人到山上，在那里住了三天，等着追赶的人回去了。追赶的人一路找他们，却找不着。So the spies went out into the hill country and stayed there three days, until their pursuers had returned without finding them, having searched all along the road.

²³二人就下山回来，过了河，到嫩的儿子约书亚那里，向他述说所遭遇的一切事；Then the two men started back, came down from the hill country, and crossed the river. So they came to Joshua son of Nun and reported all that had happened to them.

²⁴又对约书亚说：“耶和华果然将那全地交在我们手中；那地的一切居民在我们面前心都消化了。”“The LORD has surely delivered the entire land into our hands,” they said to Joshua. “Indeed, all who dwell in the land are melting in fear of us.”

整夜祷告后拣选十二使徒

¹²那时，耶稣出去，上山祷告，整夜祷告　神；In those days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God.

¹³到了天亮，叫他的门徒来，就从他们中间挑选十二个人，称他们为使徒。When daylight came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated as apostles:

¹⁴这十二个人有西门（耶稣又给他起名叫彼得），还有他兄弟安得烈，又有雅各和约翰，腓力和巴多罗买，Simon, whom He named Peter, and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;

¹⁵马太和多马，亚勒腓的儿子雅各和奋锐党的西门，Matthew and Thomas; James son of Alphaeus and Simon called the Zealot;

¹⁶雅各的儿子（或译：兄弟）犹大，和卖主的加略人犹大。Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

众人从各地来求医

¹⁷耶稣和他们下了山，站在一块平地上；同站的有许多门徒，又有许多百姓，从犹太全地和耶路撒冷，并泰尔、西顿的海边来，都要听他讲道，又指望医治他们的病；Then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there, along with a great number of people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon.

¹⁸还有被污鬼缠磨的，也得了医治。They had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases, and those troubled by unclean spirits were healed.

¹⁹众人都想要摸他；因为有能力从他身上发出来，医好了他们。The entire crowd was trying to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all.

四种有福的人

²⁰耶稣举目看着门徒，说：你们贫穷的人有福了！因为　神的国是你们的。Looking up at His disciples, Jesus said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

²¹你们饥饿的人有福了！因为你们将要饱足。你们哀哭的人有福了！因为你们将要喜笑。Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

²²“人为人子恨恶你们，拒绝你们，辱骂你们，弃掉你们的名，以为是恶，你们就有福了！Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man.

²³当那日，你们要欢喜跳跃，因为你们在天上的赏赐是大的。他们的祖宗待先知也是这样。Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.

四种有祸的人

²⁴但你们富足的人有祸了！因为你们受过你们的安慰。But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.

²⁵你们饱足的人有祸了！因为你们将要饥饿。你们喜笑的人有祸了！因为你们将要哀恸哭泣。Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.

²⁶“人都说你们好的时候，你们就有祸了！因为他们的祖宗待假先知也是这样。”Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers treated the false prophets in the same way.

要爱仇敌

²⁷“只是我告诉你们这听道的人，你们的仇敌，要爱他！恨你们的，要待他好！But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

²⁸咒诅你们的，要为他祝福！凌辱你们的，要为他祷告！bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

²⁹有人打你这边的脸，连那边的脸也由他打。有人夺你的外衣，连里衣也由他拿去。If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone takes your cloak, do not withhold your tunic as well.

³⁰凡求你的，就给他。有人夺你的东西去，不用再要回来。Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what is yours, do not demand it back.

³²你们若单爱那爱你们的人，有什么可酬谢的呢？就是罪人也爱那爱他们的人。If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.

³³你们若善待那善待你们的人，有什么可酬谢的呢？就是罪人也是这样行。If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.

³⁴你们若借给人，指望从他收回，有什么可酬谢的呢？就是罪人也借给罪人，要如数收回。And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full.

³⁵你们倒要爱仇敌，也要善待他们，并要借给人不指望偿还，你们的赏赐就必大了，你们也必作至高者的儿子；因为他恩待那忘恩的和作恶的。But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

³⁶你们要慈悲，像你们的父慈悲一样。”Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

不要论断人

³⁷“你们不要论断人，就不被论断；你们不要定人的罪，就不被定罪；你们要饶恕人，就必蒙饶恕（饶恕：原文是释放）；Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

³⁸你们要给人，就必有给你们的，并且用十足的升斗，连摇带按，上尖下流地倒在你们怀里；因为你们用什么量器量给人，也必用什么量器量给你们。”Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”

瞎子领瞎子

³⁹耶稣又用比喻对他们说：“瞎子岂能领瞎子，两个人不是都要掉在坑里吗？Jesus also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?

⁴⁰学生不能高过先生；凡学成了的不过和先生一样。A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

⁴¹为什么看见你弟兄眼中有刺，却不想自己眼中有梁木呢？Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?

⁴²你不见自己眼中有梁木，怎能对你弟兄说：‘容我去掉你眼中的刺’呢？你这假冒为善的人！先去掉自己眼中的梁木，然后才能看得清楚，去掉你弟兄眼中的刺。”How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while you yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

树凭果子认出来

⁴³“因为，没有好树结坏果子，也没有坏树结好果子。No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.

⁴⁴凡树木看果子，就可以认出它来。人不是从荆棘上摘无花果，也不是从蒺藜里摘葡萄。For each tree is known by its own fruit. Indeed, figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor grapes from brambles.

⁴⁵善人从他心里所存的善就发出善来；恶人从他心里所存的恶就发出恶来；因为心里所充满的，口里就说出来。”The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

盖在磐石上的房子

⁴⁶“你们为什么称呼我‘主啊，主啊’却不遵我的话行呢？Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but do not do what I say?

⁴⁷凡到我这里来，听见我的话就去行的，我要告诉你们他像什么人：I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:

⁴⁸他像一个人盖房子，深深地挖地，把根基安在磐石上；到发大水的时候，水冲那房子，房子总不能摇动，因为根基立在磐石上（有古卷：因为盖造得好）。He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent crashed against that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

⁴⁹惟有听见不去行的，就像一个人在土地上盖房子，没有根基；水一冲，随即倒塌了，并且那房子坏的很大。”But the one who hears My words and does not act on them is like a man who built his house on ground without a foundation. The torrent crashed against that house, and immediately it fell—and great was its destruction!”
