向米甸人报仇

¹耶和华吩咐摩西说：And the LORD said to Moses,

²“你要在米甸人身上报以色列人的仇，后来要归到你列祖（原文是本民）那里。”“Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites. After that, you will be gathered to your people.”

³摩西吩咐百姓说：“要从你们中间叫人带兵器出去攻击米甸，好在米甸人身上为耶和华报仇。So Moses told the people, “Arm some of your men for war, that they may go against the Midianites and execute the LORD’s vengeance on them.

⁴从以色列众支派中，每支派要打发一千人去打仗。”Send into battle a thousand men from each tribe of Israel.”

⁵于是从以色列千万人中，每支派交出一千人，共一万二千人，带着兵器预备打仗。So a thousand men were recruited from each tribe of Israel—twelve thousand armed for war.

⁶摩西就打发每支派的一千人去打仗，并打发祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈同去；非尼哈手里拿着圣所的器皿和吹大声的号筒。And Moses sent the thousand from each tribe into battle, along with Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, who took with him the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for signaling.

杀米甸五王和巴兰

⁷他们就照耶和华所吩咐摩西的，与米甸人打仗，杀了所有的男丁。Then they waged war against Midian, as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed every male.

⁸在所杀的人中，杀了米甸的五王，就是以未、利金、苏珥、户珥、利巴，又用刀杀了比珥的儿子巴兰。Among the slain were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba—the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.

⁹以色列人掳了米甸人的妇女孩子，并将他们的牲畜、羊群，和所有的财物都夺了来，当作掳物，The Israelites captured the Midianite women and their children, and they plundered all their herds, flocks, and goods.

¹⁰又用火焚烧他们所住的城邑和所有的营寨，Then they burned all the cities where the Midianites had lived, as well as all their encampments,

¹¹把一切所夺的、所掳的，连人带牲畜都带了去，and carried away all the plunder and spoils, both people and animals.

¹²将所掳的人，所夺的牲畜、财物，都带到摩押平原，在约旦河边与耶利哥相对的营盘，交给摩西和祭司以利亚撒，并以色列的会众。They brought the captives, spoils, and plunder to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of Israel at the camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.

摩西向军长发怒

¹³摩西和祭司以利亚撒，并会众一切的首领，都出到营外迎接他们。And Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the congregation went to meet them outside the camp.

¹⁴摩西向打仗回来的军长，就是千夫长、百夫长，发怒，But Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who were returning from the battle.

¹⁵对他们说：“你们要存留这一切妇女的活命吗？“Have you spared all the women?” he asked them.

¹⁶这些妇女因巴兰的计谋，叫以色列人在毗珥的事上得罪耶和华，以致耶和华的会众遭遇瘟疫。“Look, these women caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to turn unfaithfully against the LORD at Peor, so that the plague struck the congregation of the LORD.

¹⁷所以，你们要把一切的男孩和所有已嫁的女子都杀了。So now, kill all the boys, as well as every woman who has had relations with a man,

¹⁸但女孩子中，凡没有出嫁的，你们都可以存留她的活命。but spare for yourselves every girl who has never had relations with a man.

战后的洁净

¹⁹你们要在营外驻扎七日；凡杀了人的，和一切摸了被杀的，并你们所掳来的人口，第三日，第七日，都要洁净自己，All of you who have killed a person or touched the dead are to remain outside the camp for seven days. On the third day and the seventh day you are to purify both yourselves and your captives.

²⁰也要因一切的衣服、皮物、山羊毛织的物，和各样的木器，洁净自己。”And purify every garment and leather good, everything made of goat’s hair, and every article of wood.”

²¹祭司以利亚撒对打仗回来的兵丁说：“耶和华所吩咐摩西律法中的条例乃是这样：Then Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle, “This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded Moses:

²²金、银、铜、铁、锡、铅，Only the gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, and lead—

²³凡能见火的，你们要叫它经火就为洁净，然而还要用除污秽的水洁净它；凡不能见火的，你们要叫它过水。everything that can withstand the fire—must be put through the fire, and it will be clean. But it must still be purified with the water of purification. And everything that cannot withstand the fire must pass through the water.

²⁴第七日，你们要洗衣服，就为洁净，然后可以进营。”On the seventh day you are to wash your clothes, and you will be clean. After that you may enter the camp.”

平分掳物

²⁵耶和华晓谕摩西说：The LORD said to Moses,

²⁶“你和祭司以利亚撒，并会众的各族长，要计算所掳来的人口和牲畜的总数。“You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the congregation are to take a count of what was captured, both of man and beast.

²⁷把所掳来的分作两半：一半归与出去打仗的精兵，一半归与全会众。Then divide the captives between the troops who went out to battle and the rest of the congregation.

²⁸又要从出去打仗所得的人口、牛、驴、羊群中，每五百取一，作为贡物奉给耶和华。Set aside a tribute for the LORD from what belongs to the soldiers who went into battle: one out of every five hundred, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, or sheep.

²⁹从他们一半之中，要取出来交给祭司以利亚撒，作为耶和华的举祭。Take it from their half and give it to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the LORD.

³⁰从以色列人的一半之中，就是从人口、牛、驴、羊群、各样牲畜中，每五十取一，交给看守耶和华帐幕的利未人。”From the Israelites’ half, take one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep, or other animals, and give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.”

³¹于是摩西和祭司以利亚撒照耶和华所吩咐摩西的行了。So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD had commanded Moses,

³²除了兵丁所夺的财物以外，所掳来的：羊六十七万五千只；and this plunder remained from the spoils the soldiers had taken: 675,000 sheep,

³³牛七万二千只；72,000 cattle,

³⁴驴六万一千匹；61,000 donkeys,

³⁵女人共三万二千口，都是没有出嫁的。and 32,000 women who had not slept with a man.

³⁶出去打仗之人的分，就是他们所得的那一半，共计羊三十三万七千五百只，This was the half portion for those who had gone to war: 337,500 sheep,

³⁷从其中归耶和华为贡物的，有六百七十五只；including a tribute to the LORD of 675,

³⁸牛三万六千只，从其中归耶和华为贡物的，有七十二只；36,000 cattle, including a tribute to the LORD of 72,

³⁹驴三万零五百匹，从其中归耶和华为贡物的，有六十一匹；30,500 donkeys, including a tribute to the LORD of 61,

⁴⁰人一万六千口，从其中归耶和华的，有三十二口。and 16,000 people, including a tribute to the LORD of 32.

⁴¹摩西把贡物，就是归与耶和华的举祭，交给祭司以利亚撒，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as an offering for the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

⁴²以色列人所得的那一半，就是摩西从打仗的人取来分给他们的。From the Israelites’ half, which Moses had set apart from the men who had gone to war,

⁴³（会众的那一半有：羊三十三万七千五百只；this half belonged to the congregation: 337,500 sheep,

⁴⁴牛三万六千只；36,000 cattle,

⁴⁵驴三万零五百匹；30,500 donkeys,

⁴⁶人一万六千口。）and 16,000 people.

⁴⁷无论是人口是牲畜，摩西每五十取一，交给看守耶和华帐幕的利未人，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。From the Israelites’ half, Moses took one out of every fifty persons and animals and gave them to the Levites who kept charge of the tabernacle of the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.

军长献上金器

⁴⁸带领千军的各军长，就是千夫长、百夫长，都近前来见摩西，Then the officers who were over the units of the army—the commanders of thousands and of hundreds—approached Moses

⁴⁹对他说：“仆人权下的兵已经计算总数，并不短少一人。and said, “Your servants have counted the soldiers under our command, and not one of us is missing.

⁵⁰如今我们将各人所得的金器，就是脚链子、镯子、打印的戒指、耳环、手钏，都送来为耶和华的供物，好在耶和华面前为我们的生命赎罪。”So we have brought to the LORD an offering of the gold articles each man acquired—armlets, bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces—to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD.”

⁵¹摩西和祭司以利亚撒就收了他们的金子，都是打成的器皿。So Moses and Eleazar the priest received from them all the articles made out of gold.

⁵²千夫长、百夫长所献给耶和华为举祭的金子共有一万六千七百五十舍客勒。All the gold that the commanders of thousands and of hundreds presented as an offering to the LORD weighed 16,750 shekels.

⁵³各兵丁都为自己夺了财物。Each of the soldiers had taken plunder for himself.

⁵⁴摩西和祭司以利亚撒收了千夫长、百夫长的金子，就带进会幕，在耶和华面前作为以色列人的纪念。And Moses and Eleazar the priest received the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds and brought it into the Tent of Meeting as a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD.

预言门徒都要跌倒

²⁷耶稣对他们说：“你们都要跌倒了，因为经上记着说：我要击打牧人，羊就分散了。Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

²⁸但我复活以后，要在你们以先往加利利去。”But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

预言彼得三次不认主

²⁹彼得说：“众人虽然跌倒，我总不能。”Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I never will.”

³⁰耶稣对他说：“我实在告诉你，就在今天夜里，鸡叫两遍以先，你要三次不认我。”“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”

³¹彼得却极力地说：“我就是必须和你同死，也总不能不认你。”众门徒都是这样说。But Peter kept insisting, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the others said the same thing.

在客西马尼祷告

³²他们来到一个地方，名叫客西马尼。耶稣对门徒说：“你们坐在这里，等我祷告。”Then they came to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus told His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

³³于是带着彼得、雅各、约翰同去，就惊恐起来，极其难过，He took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be deeply troubled and distressed.

³⁴对他们说：“我心里甚是忧伤，几乎要死；你们在这里等候，警醒。”Then He said to them, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.”

³⁵他就稍往前走，俯伏在地，祷告说：“倘若可行，便叫那时候过去。”Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour would pass from Him.

³⁶他说：“阿爸！父啊！在你凡事都能；求你将这杯撤去。然而，不要从我的意思，只要从你的意思。”“Abba, Father,” He said, “all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will.”

门徒睡着了

³⁷耶稣回来，见他们睡着了，就对彼得说：“西门，你睡觉吗？不能警醒片时吗？Then Jesus returned and found them sleeping. “Simon, are you asleep?” He asked. “Were you not able to keep watch for one hour?

³⁸总要警醒祷告，免得入了迷惑。你们心灵固然愿意，肉体却软弱了。”Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

³⁹耶稣又去祷告，说的话还是与先前一样，Again He went away and prayed, saying the same thing.

⁴⁰又来见他们睡着了，因为他们的眼睛甚是困倦；他们也不知道怎么回答。And again Jesus returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. And they did not know what to answer Him.

时候到了

⁴¹第三次来，对他们说：“现在你们仍然睡觉安歇吧（吧：或译吗？）！够了，时候到了。看哪，人子被卖在罪人手里了。When Jesus returned the third time, He said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

⁴²起来！我们走吧。看哪，那卖我的人近了！”Rise, let us go. See, My betrayer is approaching!”
