智慧在城门口呼叫

¹智慧岂不呼叫？聪明岂不发声？Does not wisdom call out, and understanding raise her voice?

²她在道旁高处的顶上，在十字路口站立，On the heights overlooking the road, at the crossroads she takes her stand.

³在城门旁，在城门口，在城门洞，大声说：Beside the gates to the city, at the entrances she cries out:

⁴众人哪，我呼叫你们，我向世人发声。“To you, O men, I call out, and my cry is to the sons of men.

⁵说：愚蒙人哪，你们要会悟灵明；愚昧人哪，你们当心里明白。O simple ones, learn to be shrewd; O fools, gain understanding.

智慧要说极美的话

⁶你们当听，因我要说极美的话；我张嘴要论正直的事。Listen, for I speak of noble things, and the opening of my lips will reveal right.

⁷我的口要发出真理；我的嘴憎恶邪恶。For my mouth will speak the truth, and wickedness is detestable to my lips.

⁸我口中的言语都是公义，并无弯曲乖僻。All the words of my mouth are righteous; none are crooked or perverse.

⁹有聪明的，以为明显，得知识的，以为正直。They are all plain to the discerning, and upright to those who find knowledge.

¹⁰你们当受我的教训，不受白银；宁得知识，胜过黄金。Receive my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.

¹¹因为智慧比珍珠（或译：红宝石）更美；一切可喜爱的都不足与比较。For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire compares with her.

智慧以灵明为居所

¹²我—智慧以灵明为居所，又寻得知识和谋略。I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.

¹³敬畏耶和华在乎恨恶邪恶；那骄傲、狂妄，并恶道，以及乖谬的口，都为我所恨恶。To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride, evil conduct, and perverse speech.

¹⁴我有谋略和真知识；我乃聪明，我有能力。Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight and strength.

¹⁵帝王借我坐国位；君王借我定公平。By me kings reign, and rulers enact just laws;

¹⁶王子和首领，世上一切的审判官，都是借我掌权。By me princes rule, and all nobles who govern justly.

爱我的，我也爱他

¹⁷爱我的，我也爱他；恳切寻求我的，必寻得见。I love those who love me, and those who seek me early shall find me.

¹⁸丰富尊荣在我；恒久的财并公义也在我。With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and righteousness.

¹⁹我的果实胜过黄金，强如精金；我的出产超乎高银。My fruit is better than gold, pure gold, and my harvest surpasses choice silver.

²⁰我在公义的道上走，在公平的路中行，I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,

²¹使爱我的，承受货财，并充满他们的府库。bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full.

创造以先就有了智慧

²²在耶和华造化的起头，在太初创造万物之先，就有了我。The LORD created me as His first course, before His works of old.

²³从亘古，从太初，未有世界以前，我已被立。From everlasting I was established, from the beginning, before the earth began.

²⁴没有深渊，没有大水的泉源，我已生出。When there were no watery depths, I was brought forth, when no springs were overflowing with water.

²⁵大山未曾奠定，小山未有之先，我已生出。Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth,

²⁶耶和华还没有创造大地和田野，并世上的土质，我已生出。before He made the land or fields, or any of the dust of the earth.

²⁷他立高天，我在那里；他在渊面的周围，划出圆圈。I was there when He established the heavens, when He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep,

²⁸上使穹苍坚硬，下使渊源稳固，when He established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep gushed forth,

²⁹为沧海定出界限，使水不越过他的命令，立定大地的根基。when He set a boundary for the sea, so that the waters would not surpass His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth.

³⁰那时，我在他那里为工师，日日为他所喜爱，常常在他面前踊跃，Then I was a skilled craftsman at His side, and His delight day by day, rejoicing always in His presence.

³¹踊跃在他为人预备可住之地，也喜悦住在世人之间。I was rejoicing in His whole world, delighting together in the sons of men.

听从智慧的有福

³²众子啊，现在要听从我，因为谨守我道的，便为有福。Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.

³³要听教训就得智慧，不可弃绝。Listen to instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.

³⁴听从我、日日在我门口仰望、在我门框旁边等候的，那人便为有福。Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my doorway.

³⁵因为寻得我的，就寻得生命，也必蒙耶和华的恩惠。For whoever finds me finds life and obtains the favor of the LORD.

³⁶得罪我的，却害了自己的性命；恨恶我的，都喜爱死亡。But he who fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.”

智慧摆设筵席

¹智慧建造房屋，凿成七根柱子，Wisdom has built her house; she has carved out her seven pillars.

²宰杀牲畜，调和旨酒，设摆筵席；She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table.

³打发使女出去，自己在城中至高处呼叫，She has sent out her maidservants; she calls out from the heights of the city.

⁴说：谁是愚蒙人，可以转到这里来！又对那无知的人说：“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” she says to him who lacks judgment.

⁵你们来，吃我的饼，喝我调和的酒。“Come, eat my bread and drink the wine I have mixed.

⁶你们愚蒙人，要舍弃愚蒙，就得存活，并要走光明的道。Leave your folly behind, and you will live; walk in the way of understanding.”

责备智慧人，他必爱你

⁷指斥亵慢人的，必受辱骂；责备恶人的，必被玷污。He who corrects a mocker brings shame on himself; he who rebukes a wicked man taints himself.

⁸不要责备亵慢人，恐怕他恨你；要责备智慧人，他必爱你。Do not rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

⁹教导智慧人，他就越发有智慧；指示义人，他就增长学问。Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will increase his learning.

敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端

¹⁰敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端；认识至圣者便是聪明。The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

¹¹你借着我，日子必增多，年岁也必加添。For through wisdom your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.

¹²你若有智慧，是与自己有益；你若亵慢，就必独自担当。If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage; but if you scoff, you alone will bear the consequences.

愚昧妇人的邀请

¹³愚昧的妇人喧嚷；她是愚蒙，一无所知。The woman named Folly is loud; she is naive and knows nothing.

¹⁴她坐在自己的家门口，坐在城中高处的座位上，She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the heights of the city,

¹⁵呼叫过路的，就是直行其道的人，calling out to those who pass by, who make their paths straight.

¹⁶说：谁是愚蒙人，可以转到这里来！又对那无知的人说：“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” she says to him who lacks judgment.

¹⁷偷来的水是甜的，暗吃的饼是好的。“Stolen water is sweet, and bread eaten in secret is tasty!”

¹⁸人却不知有阴魂在她那里；她的客在阴间的深处。But they do not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

为圣徒捐钱

¹论到为圣徒捐钱，我从前怎样吩咐加拉太的众教会，你们也当怎样行。Now about the collection for the saints, you are to do as I directed the churches of Galatia:

²每逢七日的第一日，各人要照自己的进项抽出来留着，免得我来的时候现凑。On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed.

³及至我来到了，你们写信举荐谁，我就打发他们，把你们的捐资送到耶路撒冷去。Then, on my arrival, I will send letters with those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

⁴若我也该去，他们可以和我同去。And if it is advisable for me to go also, they can travel with me.

保罗的旅行计划

⁵我要从马其顿经过；既经过了，就要到你们那里去，After I go through Macedonia, however, I will come to you; for I will be going through Macedonia.

⁶或者和你们同住几时，或者也过冬。无论我往哪里去，你们就可以给我送行。Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.

⁷我如今不愿意路过见你们；主若许我，我就指望和你们同住几时。For I do not want to see you now only in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.

⁸但我要仍旧住在以弗所，直等到五旬节；But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,

⁹因为有宽大又有功效的门为我开了，并且反对的人也多。because a great door for effective work has opened to me, even though many oppose me.

提摩太和亚波罗

¹⁰若是提摩太来到，你们要留心，叫他在你们那里无所惧怕；因为他劳力做主的工，像我一样。If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am.

¹¹所以，无论谁都不可藐视他，只要送他平安前行，叫他到我这里来，因我指望他和弟兄们同来。No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers.

¹²至于兄弟亚波罗，我再三地劝他同弟兄们到你们那里去；但这时他决不愿意去，几时有了机会他必去。Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was not at all inclined to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.

务要警醒，站立得稳

¹³你们务要警醒，在真道上站立得稳，要作大丈夫，要刚强。Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.

¹⁴凡你们所做的都要凭爱心而做。Do everything in love.

敬重同工同劳的人

¹⁵弟兄们，你们晓得司提法那一家，是亚该亚初结的果子，并且他们专以服事圣徒为念。You know that Stephanas and his household were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brothers,

¹⁶我劝你们顺服这样的人，并一切同工同劳的人。to submit to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.

¹⁷司提法那和福徒拿都，并亚该古到这里来，我很喜欢；因为你们待我有不及之处，他们补上了。I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you.

¹⁸他们叫我和你们心里都快活。这样的人，你们务要敬重。For they refreshed my spirit and yours as well. Show your appreciation, therefore, to such men.

最后的问安

¹⁹亚细亚的众教会问你们安。亚居拉和百基拉并在他们家里的教会，因主多多地问你们安。The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.

²⁰众弟兄都问你们安。你们要亲嘴问安，彼此务要圣洁。All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

²¹我—保罗亲笔问安。This greeting is in my own hand—Paul.

²²若有人不爱主，这人可诅可咒。主必要来！If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be under a curse. Come, O Lord!

²³愿主耶稣基督的恩常与你们众人同在！The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

²⁴我在基督耶稣里的爱与你们众人同在。阿们！My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
