打败亚摩利王西宏

²¹以色列人差遣使者去见亚摩利人的王西宏，说：Then Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,

²²“求你容我们从你的地经过；我们不偏入田间和葡萄园，也不喝井里的水，只走大道（原文是王道），直到过了你的境界。”“Let us pass through your land. We will not turn aside into any field or vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will stay on the King’s Highway until we have passed through your territory.”

²³西宏不容以色列人从他的境界经过，就招聚他的众民出到旷野，要攻击以色列人，到了雅杂与以色列人争战。But Sihon would not let Israel pass through his territory. Instead, he gathered his whole army and went out to confront Israel in the wilderness. When he came to Jahaz, he fought against Israel.

²⁴以色列人用刀杀了他，得了他的地，从亚嫩河到雅博河，直到亚扪人的境界，因为亚扪人的境界多有坚垒。And Israel put him to the sword and took possession of his land, from the Arnon to the Jabbok—but only up to the border of the Ammonites, because it was fortified.

²⁵以色列人夺取这一切的城邑，也住亚摩利人的城邑，就是希实本与希实本的一切乡村。Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites and occupied them, including Heshbon and all its villages.

²⁶这希实本是亚摩利王西宏的京城；西宏曾与摩押的先王争战，从他手中夺取了全地，直到亚嫩河。Heshbon was the city of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab and taken all his land as far as the Arnon.

希实本之歌

²⁷所以那些作诗歌的说：你们来到希实本；愿西宏的城被修造，被建立。That is why the poets say: “Come to Heshbon, let it be rebuilt; let the city of Sihon be restored.

²⁸因为有火从希实本发出，有火焰出于西宏的城，烧尽摩押的亚珥和亚嫩河邱坛的祭司（祭司原文是主）。For a fire went out from Heshbon, a blaze from the city of Sihon. It consumed Ar of Moab, the rulers of Arnon’s heights.

²⁹摩押啊，你有祸了！基抹的民哪，你们灭亡了！基抹的男子逃奔，女子被掳，交付亚摩利的王西宏。Woe to you, O Moab! You are destroyed, O people of Chemosh! He gave up his sons as refugees, and his daughters into captivity to Sihon king of the Amorites.

打败巴珊王噩

³³以色列人转回，向巴珊去。巴珊王噩和他的众民都出来，在以得来与他们交战。Then they turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan and his whole army came out to meet them in battle at Edrei.

³⁴耶和华对摩西说：“不要怕他！因我已将他和他的众民，并他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像从前待住希实本的亚摩利王西宏一般。”But the LORD said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, along with all his people and his land. Do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.”

³⁵于是他们杀了他和他的众子，并他的众民，没有留下一个，就得了他的地。So they struck down Og, along with his sons and his whole army, until no remnant was left. And they took possession of his land.

安营摩押平原，巴勒惧怕

¹以色列人起行，在摩押平原、约旦河东，对着耶利哥安营。Then the Israelites traveled on and camped in the plains of Moab near the Jordan, across from Jericho.

²以色列人向亚摩利人所行的一切事，西拨的儿子巴勒都看见了。Now Balak son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites,

³摩押人因以色列民甚多，就大大惧怕，心内忧急，and Moab was terrified of the people because they were numerous. Indeed, Moab dreaded the Israelites.

⁴对米甸的长老说：“现在这众人要把我们四围所有的一概舔尽，就如牛舔尽田间的草一般。”那时西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian, “This horde will devour everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” Since Balak son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time,

巴勒差人去请巴兰

⁵他差遣使者往大河边的毗夺去，到比珥的儿子巴兰本乡那里，召巴兰来，说：“有一宗民从埃及出来，遮满地面，与我对居。he sent messengers to summon Balaam son of Beor at Pethor, which is by the Euphrates in the land of his people. “Behold, a people has come out of Egypt,” said Balak. “They cover the face of the land and have settled next to me.

⁶这民比我强盛，现在求你来为我咒诅他们，或者我能得胜，攻打他们，赶出此地。因为我知道，你为谁祝福，谁就得福；你咒诅谁，谁就受咒诅。”So please come now and put a curse on this people, because they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I may be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land; for I know that those you bless are blessed, and those you curse are cursed.”

⁷摩押的长老和米甸的长老手里拿着卦金，到了巴兰那里，将巴勒的话都告诉了他。The elders of Moab and Midian departed with the fees for divination in hand. They came to Balaam and relayed to him the words of Balak.

⁸巴兰说：“你们今夜在这里住宿，我必照耶和华所晓谕我的回报你们。”摩押的使臣就在巴兰那里住下了。“Spend the night here,” Balaam replied, “and I will give you the answer that the LORD speaks to me.” So the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam.

⁹神临到巴兰那里，说：“在你这里的人都是谁？”Then God came to Balaam and asked, “Who are these men with you?”

¹⁰巴兰回答说：“是摩押王西拨的儿子巴勒打发人到我这里来，说：And Balaam said to God, “Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, sent me this message:

¹¹‘从埃及出来的民遮满地面，你来为我咒诅他们，或者我能与他们争战，把他们赶出去。’”‘Behold, a people has come out of Egypt, and they cover the face of the land. Now come and put a curse on them for me. Perhaps I may be able to fight against them and drive them away.’”

¹²神对巴兰说：“你不可同他们去，也不可咒诅那民，因为那民是蒙福的。”But God said to Balaam, “Do not go with them. You are not to curse this people, for they are blessed.”

¹³巴兰早晨起来，对巴勒的使臣说：“你们回本地去吧，因为耶和华不容我和你们同去。”So Balaam got up the next morning and said to Balak’s princes, “Go back to your homeland, because the LORD has refused to let me go with you.”

¹⁴摩押的使臣就起来，回巴勒那里去，说：“巴兰不肯和我们同来。”And the princes of Moab arose, returned to Balak, and said, “Balaam refused to come with us.”

巴勒再派更尊贵的使臣

¹⁵巴勒又差遣使臣，比先前的又多又尊贵。Then Balak sent other princes, more numerous and more distinguished than the first messengers.

¹⁶他们到了巴兰那里，对他说：“西拨的儿子巴勒这样说：‘求你不容什么事拦阻你不到我这里来，They came to Balaam and said, “This is what Balak son of Zippor says: ‘Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me,

¹⁷因为我必使你得极大的尊荣。你向我要什么，我就给你什么；只求你来为我咒诅这民。’”for I will honor you richly and do whatever you say. So please come and put a curse on this people for me!’”

¹⁸巴兰回答巴勒的臣仆说：“巴勒就是将他满屋的金银给我，我行大事小事也不得越过耶和华—我　神的命。But Balaam replied to the servants of Balak, “If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not do anything small or great to go beyond the command of the LORD my God.

¹⁹现在我请你们今夜在这里住宿，等我得知耶和华还要对我说什么。”So now, please stay here overnight as the others did, that I may find out what else the LORD has to tell me.”

²⁰当夜，　神临到巴兰那里，说：“这些人若来召你，你就起来同他们去，你只要遵行我对你所说的话。”That night God came to Balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, get up and go with them, but you must only do what I tell you.”

巴兰的驴和耶和华的使者

²¹巴兰早晨起来，备上驴，和摩押的使臣一同去了。So in the morning Balaam got up, saddled his donkey, and went with the princes of Moab.

²²神因他去就发了怒；耶和华的使者站在路上敌挡他。他骑着驴，有两个仆人跟随他。Then God’s anger was kindled because Balaam was going along, and the angel of the LORD stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding his donkey, and his two servants were with him.

²³驴看见耶和华的使者站在路上，手里有拔出来的刀，就从路上跨进田间，巴兰便打驴，要叫它回转上路。When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, she turned off the path and went into a field. So Balaam beat her to return her to the path.

²⁴耶和华的使者就站在葡萄园的窄路上；这边有墙，那边也有墙。Then the angel of the LORD stood in a narrow passage between two vineyards, with walls on either side.

²⁵驴看见耶和华的使者，就贴靠墙，将巴兰的脚挤伤了；巴兰又打驴。And the donkey saw the angel of the LORD and pressed herself against the wall, crushing Balaam’s foot against it. So he beat her once again.

²⁶耶和华的使者又往前去，站在狭窄之处，左右都没有转折的地方。And the angel of the LORD moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn to the right or left.

²⁷驴看见耶和华的使者，就卧在巴兰底下，巴兰发怒，用杖打驴。When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam, and he became furious and beat her with his staff.

²⁸耶和华叫驴开口，对巴兰说：“我向你行了什么，你竟打我这三次呢？”Then the LORD opened the donkey’s mouth, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you that you have beaten me these three times?”

²⁹巴兰对驴说：“因为你戏弄我，我恨不能手中有刀，把你杀了。”Balaam answered the donkey, “You have made a fool of me! If I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now!”

³⁰驴对巴兰说：“我不是你从小时直到今日所骑的驴吗？我素常向你这样行过吗？”巴兰说：“没有。”But the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not the donkey you have ridden all your life until today? Have I ever treated you this way before?” “No,” he replied.

³¹当时，耶和华使巴兰的眼目明亮，他就看见耶和华的使者站在路上，手里有拔出来的刀，巴兰便低头俯伏在地。Then the LORD opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand. And Balaam bowed low and fell facedown.

³²耶和华的使者对他说：“你为何这三次打你的驴呢？我出来敌挡你，因你所行的，在我面前偏僻。The angel of the LORD asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to oppose you, because your way is perverse before me.

³³驴看见我就三次从我面前偏过去；驴若没有偏过去，我早把你杀了，留它存活。”The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If she had not turned away, then by now I would surely have killed you and let her live.”

³⁴巴兰对耶和华的使者说：“我有罪了。我不知道你站在路上阻挡我；你若不喜欢我去，我就转回。”“I have sinned,” Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, “for I did not realize that you were standing in the road to confront me. And now, if this is displeasing in your sight, I will go back home.”

³⁵耶和华的使者对巴兰说：“你同这些人去吧！你只要说我对你说的话。”于是巴兰同着巴勒的使臣去了。But the angel of the LORD said to Balaam, “Go with the men, but you are to speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

巴勒迎接巴兰

³⁶巴勒听见巴兰来了，就往摩押京城去迎接他；这城是在边界上，在亚嫩河旁。When Balak heard that Balaam was coming, he went out to meet him at the Moabite city on the Arnon border, at the edge of his territory.

³⁷巴勒对巴兰说：“我不是急急地打发人到你那里去召你吗？你为何不到我这里来呢？我岂不能使你得尊荣吗？”And he said to Balaam, “Did I not send you an urgent summons? Why did you not come to me? Am I really not able to reward you richly?”

³⁸巴兰说：“我已经到你这里来了！现在我岂能擅自说什么呢？　神将什么话传给我，我就说什么。”“See, I have come to you,” Balaam replied, “but can I say just anything? I must speak only the word that God puts in my mouth.”

³⁹巴兰和巴勒同行，来到基列·胡琐。So Balaam accompanied Balak, and they came to Kiriath-huzoth.

⁴⁰巴勒宰了（原文是献）牛羊，送给巴兰和陪伴的使臣。Balak sacrificed cattle and sheep, and he gave portions to Balaam and the princes who were with him.

⁴¹到了早晨，巴勒领巴兰到巴力的高处；巴兰从那里观看以色列营的边界。The next morning, Balak took Balaam and brought him up to Bamoth-baal. From there he could see the outskirts of the camp of the people.

预备驴驹

¹耶稣和门徒将近耶路撒冷，到了伯法其和伯大尼，在橄榄山那里；耶稣就打发两个门徒，As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent out two of His disciples

²对他们说：“你们往对面村子里去，一进去的时候，必看见一匹驴驹拴在那里，是从来没有人骑过的，可以解开，牵来。and said to them, “Go into the village ahead of you, and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here.

³若有人对你们说：‘为什么做这事？’你们就说：‘主要用它。’那人必立时让你们牵来。”If anyone asks, ‘Why are you doing this?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it shortly.’”

⁴他们去了，便看见一匹驴驹拴在门外街道上，就把它解开。So they went and found the colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. They untied it,

⁵在那里站着的人，有几个说：“你们解驴驹做什么？”and some who were standing there asked, “Why are you untying the colt?”

⁶门徒照着耶稣所说的回答，那些人就任凭他们牵去了。The disciples answered as Jesus had instructed them, and the people gave them permission.

骑驴进耶路撒冷

⁷他们把驴驹牵到耶稣那里，把自己的衣服搭在上面，耶稣就骑上。Then they led the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, and He sat on it.

⁸有许多人把衣服铺在路上，也有人把田间的树枝砍下来，铺在路上。Many in the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut from the fields.

⁹前行后随的人都喊着说：和散那（和散那：原有求救的意思，在此乃是称颂的话）！奉主名来的是应当称颂的！The ones who went ahead and those who followed were shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

¹⁰那将要来的我祖大卫之国是应当称颂的！高高在上和散那！“Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!” “Hosanna in the highest!”

进圣殿观看

¹¹耶稣进了耶路撒冷，入了圣殿，周围看了各样物件。天色已晚，就和十二个门徒出城，往伯大尼去了。Then Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

咒诅无花果树

¹²第二天，他们从伯大尼出来，耶稣饿了。The next day, when they had left Bethany, Jesus was hungry.

¹³远远地看见一棵无花果树，树上有叶子，就往那里去，或者在树上可以找着什么。到了树下，竟找不着什么，不过有叶子，因为不是收无花果的时候。Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if there was any fruit on it. But when He reached it, He found nothing on it except leaves, since it was not the season for figs.

¹⁴耶稣就对树说：“从今以后，永没有人吃你的果子。”他的门徒也听见了。Then He said to the tree, “May no one ever eat of your fruit again.” And His disciples heard this statement.

洁净圣殿

¹⁵他们来到耶路撒冷。耶稣进入圣殿，赶出殿里做买卖的人，推倒兑换银钱之人的桌子和卖鸽子之人的凳子；When they arrived in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began to drive out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.

¹⁶也不许人拿着器具从殿里经过；And He would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.

¹⁷便教训他们说：“经上不是记着说：我的殿必称为万国祷告的殿吗？你们倒使它成为贼窝了。”Then Jesus began to teach them, and He declared, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’”

¹⁸祭司长和文士听见这话，就想法子要除灭耶稣，却又怕他，因为众人都希奇他的教训。When the chief priests and scribes heard this, they looked for a way to kill Him. For they were afraid of Him, because the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching.

无花果树枯干

²⁰早晨，他们从那里经过，看见无花果树连根都枯干了。As they were walking back in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from its roots.

²¹彼得想起耶稣的话来，就对他说：“拉比，请看！你所咒诅的无花果树已经枯干了。”Peter remembered it and said, “Look, Rabbi! The fig tree You cursed has withered.”

信靠神、祷告与饶恕

²²耶稣回答说：“你们当信服　神。“Have faith in God,” Jesus said to them.

²³我实在告诉你们，无论何人对这座山说：‘你挪开此地，投在海里！’他若心里不疑惑，只信他所说的必成，就必给他成了。“Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.

²⁴所以我告诉你们，凡你们祷告祈求的，无论是什么，只要信是得着的，就必得着。Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
