米利暗死在加低斯

¹正月间，以色列全会众到了寻的旷野，就住在加低斯。米利暗死在那里，就葬在那里。In the first month, the whole congregation of Israel entered the Wilderness of Zin and stayed in Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried.

百姓没有水喝

²会众没有水喝，就聚集攻击摩西、亚伦。Now there was no water for the congregation, so they gathered against Moses and Aaron.

³百姓向摩西争闹说：“我们的弟兄曾死在耶和华面前，我们恨不得与他们同死。The people quarreled with Moses and said, “If only we had perished with our brothers before the LORD!

⁴你们为何把耶和华的会众领到这旷野、使我们和牲畜都死在这里呢？Why have you brought the LORD’s assembly into this wilderness for us and our livestock to die here?

⁵你们为何逼着我们出埃及、领我们到这坏地方呢？这地方不好撒种，也没有无花果树、葡萄树、石榴树，又没有水喝。”Why have you led us up out of Egypt to bring us to this wretched place? It is not a place of grain, figs, vines, or pomegranates—and there is no water to drink!”

⁶摩西、亚伦离开会众，到会幕门口，俯伏在地；耶和华的荣光向他们显现。Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. They fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them.

摩西击打磐石

⁷耶和华晓谕摩西说：And the LORD said to Moses,

⁸“你拿着杖去，和你的哥哥亚伦招聚会众，在他们眼前吩咐磐石发出水来，水就从磐石流出，给会众和他们的牲畜喝。”“Take the staff and assemble the congregation. You and your brother Aaron are to speak to the rock while they watch, and it will pour out its water. You will bring out water from the rock and provide drink for the congregation and their livestock.”

⁹于是摩西照耶和华所吩咐的，从耶和华面前取了杖去。So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as he had been commanded.

¹⁰摩西、亚伦就招聚会众到磐石前。摩西说：“你们这些背叛的人听我说：我为你们使水从这磐石中流出来吗？”Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, “Listen now, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”

¹¹摩西举手，用杖击打磐石两下，就有许多水流出来，会众和他们的牲畜都喝了。Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff, so that a great amount of water gushed out, and the congregation and their livestock were able to drink.

摩西、亚伦不得进迦南

¹²耶和华对摩西、亚伦说：“因为你们不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我为圣，所以你们必不得领这会众进我所赐给他们的地去。”But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust Me to show My holiness in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

¹³这水名叫米利巴水（米利巴就是争闹的意思），是因以色列人向耶和华争闹，耶和华就在他们面前显为圣。These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD, and He showed His holiness among them.

以东不准借道

¹⁴摩西从加低斯差遣使者去见以东王，说：“你的弟兄以色列人这样说：‘我们所遭遇的一切艰难，From Kadesh, Moses sent messengers to tell the king of Edom, “This is what your brother Israel says: You know all the hardship that has befallen us,

¹⁵就是我们的列祖下到埃及，我们在埃及久住；埃及人恶待我们的列祖和我们，how our fathers went down to Egypt, where we lived many years. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers,

¹⁶我们哀求耶和华的时候，他听了我们的声音，差遣使者把我们从埃及领出来。这事你都知道。如今，我们在你边界上的城加低斯。and when we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

¹⁷求你容我们从你的地经过。我们不走田间和葡萄园，也不喝井里的水，只走大道（原文是王道），不偏左右，直到过了你的境界。’”Please let us pass through your land. We will not go through any field or vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will stay on the King’s Highway; we will not turn to the right or to the left until we have passed through your territory.”

¹⁸以东王说：“你不可从我的地经过，免得我带刀出去攻击你。”But Edom answered, “You may not travel through our land, or we will come out and confront you with the sword.”

¹⁹以色列人说：“我们要走大道上去；我们和牲畜若喝你的水，必给你价值。不求别的，只求你容我们步行过去。”“We will stay on the main road,” the Israelites replied, “and if we or our herds drink your water, we will pay for it. There will be no problem; only let us pass through on foot.”

²⁰以东王说：“你们不可经过！”就率领许多人出来，要用强硬的手攻击以色列人。But Edom insisted, “You may not pass through.” And they came out to confront the Israelites with a large army and a strong hand.

²¹这样，以东王不肯容以色列人从他的境界过去。于是他们转去，离开他。So Edom refused to allow Israel to pass through their territory, and Israel turned away from them.

亚伦死在何珥山

²²以色列全会众从加低斯起行，到了何珥山。After they had set out from Kadesh, the whole congregation of Israel came to Mount Hor.

²³耶和华在附近以东边界的何珥山上晓谕摩西、亚伦说：And at Mount Hor, near the border of the land of Edom, the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

²⁴“亚伦要归到他列祖（原文是本民）那里。他必不得入我所赐给以色列人的地；因为在米利巴水，你们违背了我的命。“Aaron will be gathered to his people; he will not enter the land that I have given the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against My command at the waters of Meribah.

²⁵你带亚伦和他的儿子以利亚撒上何珥山，Take Aaron and his son Eleazar and bring them up Mount Hor.

²⁶把亚伦的圣衣脱下来，给他的儿子以利亚撒穿上；亚伦必死在那里，归他列祖。”Remove Aaron’s priestly garments and put them on his son Eleazar. Aaron will be gathered to his people and will die there.”

²⁷摩西就照耶和华所吩咐的行。三人当着会众的眼前上了何珥山。So Moses did as the LORD had commanded, and they climbed Mount Hor in the sight of the whole congregation.

²⁸摩西把亚伦的圣衣脱下来，给他的儿子以利亚撒穿上，亚伦就死在山顶那里。于是摩西和以利亚撒下了山。After Moses had removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar, Aaron died there on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

²⁹全会众，就是以色列全家，见亚伦已经死了，便都为亚伦哀哭了三十天。When the whole congregation saw that Aaron had died, the entire house of Israel mourned for him thirty days.

毁灭亚拉得的城邑

¹住南地的迦南人亚拉得王，听说以色列人从亚他林路来，就和以色列人争战，掳了他们几个人。When the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked Israel and captured some prisoners.

²以色列人向耶和华发愿说：“你若将这民交付我手，我就把他们的城邑尽行毁灭。”So Israel made a vow to the LORD: “If You will deliver this people into our hands, we will devote their cities to destruction.”

³耶和华应允了以色列人，把迦南人交付他们，他们就把迦南人和迦南人的城邑尽行毁灭。那地方的名便叫何珥玛（就是毁灭的意思）。And the LORD heard Israel’s plea and delivered up the Canaanites. Israel devoted them and their cities to destruction; so they named the place Hormah.

火蛇与铜蛇

⁴他们从何珥山起行，往红海那条路走，要绕过以东地。百姓因这路难行，心中甚是烦躁，Then they set out from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, in order to bypass the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient on the journey

⁵就怨讟　神和摩西说：“你们为什么把我们从埃及领出来、使我们死在旷野呢？这里没有粮，没有水，我们的心厌恶这淡薄的食物。”and spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you led us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”

⁶于是耶和华使火蛇进入百姓中间，蛇就咬他们。以色列人中死了许多。So the LORD sent venomous snakes among the people, and many of the Israelites were bitten and died.

⁷百姓到摩西那里，说：“我们怨讟耶和华和你，有罪了。求你祷告耶和华，叫这些蛇离开我们。”于是摩西为百姓祷告。Then the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Intercede with the LORD so He will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses interceded for the people.

⁸耶和华对摩西说：“你制造一条火蛇，挂在杆子上；凡被咬的，一望这蛇，就必得活。”Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and mount it on a pole. When anyone who is bitten looks at it, he will live.”

⁹摩西便制造一条铜蛇，挂在杆子上；凡被蛇咬的，一望这铜蛇就活了。So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a pole. If anyone who was bitten looked at the bronze snake, he would live.

往摩押的路程

¹⁰以色列人起行，安营在阿伯。Then the Israelites set out and camped at Oboth.

¹¹又从阿伯起行，安营在以耶·亚巴琳，与摩押相对的旷野，向日出之地。They journeyed from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim in the wilderness opposite Moab to the east.

¹²从那里起行，安营在撒烈谷。From there they set out and camped in the Valley of Zered.

¹³从那里起行，安营在亚嫩河那边。这亚嫩河是在旷野，从亚摩利的境界流出来的；原来亚嫩河是摩押的边界，在摩押和亚摩利人搭界的地方。From there they moved on and camped on the other side of the Arnon, in the wilderness that extends into the Amorite territory. Now the Arnon is the border between the Moabites and the Amorites.

¹⁵并向亚珥城众谷的下坡，是靠近摩押的境界。”even the slopes of the wadis that extend to the site of Ar and lie along the border of Moab.”

井啊，涌上水来

¹⁶以色列人从那里起行，到了比珥（就是井的意思）。从前耶和华吩咐摩西说：“招聚百姓，我好给他们水喝”，说的就是这井。From there they went on to Beer, the well where the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people so that I may give them water.”

¹⁷当时，以色列人唱歌说：井啊，涌上水来！你们要向这井歌唱。Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well, all of you sing to it!

¹⁸这井是首领和民中的尊贵人用圭用杖所挖所掘的。以色列人从旷野往玛他拿去，The princes dug the well; the nobles of the people hollowed it out with their scepters and with their staffs.” From the wilderness the Israelites went on to Mattanah,

¹⁹从玛他拿到拿哈列，从拿哈列到巴末，and from Mattanah to Nahaliel, and from Nahaliel to Bamoth,

²⁰从巴末到摩押地的谷，又到那下望旷野之毗斯迦的山顶。and from Bamoth to the valley in Moab where the top of Pisgah overlooks the wasteland.

第三次预言受死复活

³²他们行路上耶路撒冷去。耶稣在前头走，门徒就希奇，跟从的人也害怕。耶稣又叫过十二个门徒来，把自己将要遭遇的事告诉他们说：As they were going up the road to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking ahead of them. The disciples were amazed, but those who followed were afraid. Again Jesus took the Twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him:

³³“看哪，我们上耶路撒冷去，人子将要被交给祭司长和文士，他们要定他死罪，交给外邦人。“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles,

³⁴他们要戏弄他，吐唾沫在他脸上，鞭打他，杀害他。过了三天，他要复活。”who will mock Him and spit on Him and flog Him and kill Him. And after three days He will rise again.”

雅各、约翰求坐左右

³⁵西庇太的儿子雅各、约翰进前来，对耶稣说：“夫子，我们无论求你什么，愿你给我们做。”Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus and declared, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.”

³⁶耶稣说：“要我给你们做什么？”“What do you want Me to do for you?” He inquired.

³⁷他们说：“赐我们在你的荣耀里，一个坐在你右边，一个坐在你左边。”They answered, “Grant that one of us may sit at Your right hand and the other at Your left in Your glory.”

喝我所喝的杯

³⁸耶稣说：“你们不知道所求的是什么，我所喝的杯，你们能喝吗？我所受的洗，你们能受吗？”“You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I will drink, or be baptized with the baptism I will undergo?”

³⁹他们说：“我们能。”耶稣说：“我所喝的杯，你们也要喝；我所受的洗，你们也要受；“We can,” the brothers answered. “You will drink the cup that I drink,” Jesus said, “and you will be baptized with the baptism that I undergo.

⁴⁰只是坐在我的左右，不是我可以赐的，乃是为谁预备的，就赐给谁。”But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”

谁愿为首，就必作仆人

⁴¹那十个门徒听见，就恼怒雅各、约翰。When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.

⁴²耶稣叫他们来，对他们说：“你们知道，外邦人有尊为君王的，治理他们，有大臣操权管束他们。So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.

⁴³只是在你们中间，不是这样。你们中间，谁愿为大，就必作你们的用人；But it shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

⁴⁴在你们中间，谁愿为首，就必作众人的仆人。and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.

⁴⁵因为人子来，并不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，并且要舍命作多人的赎价。”For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

瞎子巴底买

⁴⁶到了耶利哥；耶稣同门徒并许多人出耶利哥的时候，有一个讨饭的瞎子，是底买的儿子巴底买，坐在路旁。Next, they came to Jericho. And as Jesus and His disciples were leaving Jericho with a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting beside the road.

⁴⁷他听见是拿撒勒的耶稣，就喊着说：“大卫的子孙耶稣啊！可怜我吧！”When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁸有许多人责备他，不许他作声。他却越发大声喊着说：“大卫的子孙哪，可怜我吧！”Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁹耶稣就站住，说：“叫过他来。”他们就叫那瞎子，对他说：“放心，起来！他叫你啦。”Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Take courage!” they said. “Get up! He is calling for you.”

⁵⁰瞎子就丢下衣服，跳起来，走到耶稣那里。Throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus.

⁵¹耶稣说：“要我为你做什么？”瞎子说：“拉波尼（就是夫子），我要能看见。”“What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “Rabboni,” said the blind man, “let me see again.”

⁵²耶稣说：“你去吧！你的信救了你了。”瞎子立刻看见了，就在路上跟随耶稣。“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
