以扫回来，福分已被夺去

³⁰以撒为雅各祝福已毕，雅各从他父亲那里才出来，他哥哥以扫正打猎回来，As soon as Isaac had finished blessing him and Jacob had left his father’s presence, his brother Esau returned from the hunt.

³¹也做了美味，拿来给他父亲，说：“请父亲起来，吃你儿子的野味，好给我祝福。”He too made some tasty food, brought it to his father, and said to him, “My father, sit up and eat of your son’s game, so that you may bless me.”

³²他父亲以撒对他说：“你是谁？”他说：“我是你的长子以扫。”But his father Isaac replied, “Who are you?” “I am Esau, your firstborn son,” he answered.

³³以撒就大大地战兢，说：“你未来之先，是谁得了野味拿来给我呢？我已经吃了，为他祝福；他将来也必蒙福。”Isaac began to tremble violently and said, “Who was it, then, who hunted the game and brought it to me? Before you came in, I ate it all and blessed him—and indeed, he will be blessed!”

³⁴以扫听了他父亲的话，就放声痛哭，说：“我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”When Esau heard his father’s words, he let out a loud and bitter cry and said to his father, “Bless me too, O my father!”

³⁵以撒说：“你兄弟已经用诡计来将你的福分夺去了。”But Isaac replied, “Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

³⁶以扫说：“他名雅各，岂不是正对吗？因为他欺骗了我两次：他从前夺了我长子的名分，你看，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下为我可祝的福吗？”So Esau declared, “Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has cheated me twice. He took my birthright, and now he has taken my blessing.” Then he asked, “Haven’t you saved a blessing for me?”

³⁷以撒回答以扫说：“我已立他为你的主，使他的弟兄都给他作仆人，并赐他五谷新酒可以养生。我儿，现在我还能为你做什么呢？”But Isaac answered Esau: “Look, I have made him your master and given him all his relatives as servants; I have sustained him with grain and new wine. What is left that I can do for you, my son?”

³⁸以扫对他父亲说：“父啊，你只有一样可祝的福吗？我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”以扫就放声而哭。Esau said to his father, “Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, O my father!” Then Esau wept aloud.

³⁹他父亲以撒说：地上的肥土必为你所住；天上的甘露必为你所得。His father Isaac answered him: “Behold, your dwelling place shall be away from the richness of the land, away from the dew of heaven above.

⁴⁰你必倚靠刀剑度日，又必事奉你的兄弟；到你强盛的时候，必从你颈项上挣开他的轭。You shall live by the sword and serve your brother. But when you rebel, you will tear his yoke from your neck.”

以扫要杀雅各

⁴¹以扫因他父亲给雅各祝的福，就怨恨雅各，心里说：“为我父亲居丧的日子近了，到那时候，我要杀我的兄弟雅各。”Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. And Esau said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”

⁴²有人把利百加大儿子以扫的话告诉利百加，她就打发人去，叫了她小儿子雅各来，对他说：“你哥哥以扫想要杀你，报仇雪恨。When the words of her older son Esau were relayed to Rebekah, she sent for her younger son Jacob and told him, “Look, your brother Esau is consoling himself by plotting to kill you.

⁴³现在，我儿，你要听我的话：起来，逃往哈兰、我哥哥拉班那里去，So now, my son, obey my voice and flee at once to my brother Laban in Haran.

⁴⁴同他住些日子，直等你哥哥的怒气消了。Stay with him for a while, until your brother’s fury subsides—

⁴⁵你哥哥向你消了怒气，忘了你向他所做的事，我便打发人去把你从那里带回来。为什么一日丧你们二人呢？”until your brother’s rage against you wanes and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send for you and bring you back from there. Why should I lose both of you in one day?”

利百加的对策

⁴⁶利百加对以撒说：“我因这赫人的女子连性命都厌烦了；倘若雅各也娶赫人的女子为妻，像这些一样，我活着还有什么益处呢？”Then Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am weary of my life because of these Hittite women. If Jacob takes a Hittite wife from among them, what good is my life?”

以撒打发雅各往巴旦‧亚兰

¹以撒叫了雅各来，给他祝福，并嘱咐他说：“你不要娶迦南的女子为妻。So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him. “Do not take a wife from the Canaanite women,” he commanded.

²你起身往巴旦·亚兰去，到你外祖彼土利家里，在你母舅拉班的女儿中娶一女为妻。“Go at once to Paddan-aram, to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel, and take a wife from among the daughters of Laban, your mother’s brother.

³愿全能的　神赐福给你，使你生养众多，成为多族，May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you, so that you may become a company of peoples.

⁴将应许亚伯拉罕的福赐给你和你的后裔，使你承受你所寄居的地为业，就是　神赐给亚伯拉罕的地。”And may He give the blessing of Abraham to you and your descendants, so that you may possess the land where you dwell as a foreigner, the land God gave to Abraham.”

⁵以撒打发雅各走了，他就往巴旦·亚兰去，到亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里。拉班是雅各、以扫的母舅。So Isaac sent Jacob to Paddan-aram, to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean, the brother of Rebekah, who was the mother of Jacob and Esau.

以扫又娶以实玛利的女儿

⁶以扫见以撒已经给雅各祝福，而且打发他往巴旦·亚兰去，在那里娶妻，并见祝福的时候嘱咐他说：“不要娶迦南的女子为妻”，Now Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan-aram to take a wife there, commanding him, “Do not marry a Canaanite woman,”

⁷又见雅各听从父母的话往巴旦·亚兰去了，and that Jacob had obeyed his father and mother and gone to Paddan-aram.

⁸以扫就晓得他父亲以撒看不中迦南的女子，And seeing that his father Isaac disapproved of the Canaanite women,

⁹便往以实玛利那里去，在他二妻之外又娶了玛哈拉为妻。她是亚伯拉罕儿子以实玛利的女儿，尼拜约的妹子。Esau went to Ishmael and married Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Abraham’s son Ishmael, in addition to the wives he already had.

雅各梦见天梯

¹⁰雅各出了别是巴，向哈兰走去；Meanwhile Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Haran.

¹¹到了一个地方，因为太阳落了，就在那里住宿，便拾起那地方的一块石头枕在头下，在那里躺卧睡了，On reaching a certain place, he spent the night there because the sun had set. And taking one of the stones from that place, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep.

¹²梦见一个梯子立在地上，梯子的头顶着天，有　神的使者在梯子上，上去下来。And Jacob had a dream about a ladder that rested on the earth with its top reaching up to heaven, and God’s angels were going up and down the ladder.

¹³耶和华站在梯子以上（或译：站在他旁边），说：“我是耶和华—你祖亚伯拉罕的　神，也是以撒的　神；我要将你现在所躺卧之地赐给你和你的后裔。And there at the top the LORD was standing and saying, “I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you now lie.

这是神的殿，天的门

¹⁶雅各睡醒了，说：“耶和华真在这里，我竟不知道！”When Jacob woke up, he said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was unaware of it.”

¹⁷就惧怕，说：“这地方何等可畏！这不是别的，乃是　神的殿，也是天的门。”And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven!”

¹⁸雅各清早起来，把所枕的石头立作柱子，浇油在上面。Early the next morning, Jacob took the stone that he had placed under his head, and he set it up as a pillar. He poured oil on top of it,

¹⁹他就给那地方起名叫伯特利（就是　神殿的意思）；但那地方起先名叫路斯。and he called that place Bethel, though previously the city had been named Luz.

雅各许愿

²⁰雅各许愿说：“　神若与我同在，在我所行的路上保佑我，又给我食物吃，衣服穿，Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and watch over me on this journey, and if He will provide me with food to eat and clothes to wear,

²¹使我平平安安地回到我父亲的家，我就必以耶和华为我的　神。so that I may return safely to my father’s house, then the LORD will be my God.

²²我所立为柱子的石头也必作　神的殿；凡你所赐给我的，我必将十分之一献给你。”And this stone I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give You a tenth.”

井旁遇见拉结

¹雅各起行，到了东方人之地，Jacob resumed his journey and came to the land of the people of the east.

²看见田间有一口井，有三群羊卧在井旁；因为人饮羊群都是用那井里的水。井口上的石头是大的。He looked and saw a well in the field, and near it lay three flocks of sheep, because the sheep were watered from this well. And a large stone covered the mouth of the well.

³常有羊群在那里聚集，牧人把石头转离井口饮羊，随后又把石头放在井口的原处。When all the flocks had been gathered there, the shepherds would roll away the stone from the mouth of the well and water the sheep. Then they would return the stone to its place over the mouth of the well.

⁴雅各对牧人说：“弟兄们，你们是哪里来的？”他们说：“我们是哈兰来的。”“My brothers,” Jacob asked the shepherds, “where are you from?” “We are from Haran,” they answered.

⁵他问他们说：“拿鹤的孙子拉班，你们认识吗？”他们说：“我们认识。”“Do you know Laban the grandson of Nahor?” Jacob asked. “We know him,” they replied.

⁶雅各说：“他平安吗？”他们说：“平安。看哪，他女儿拉结领着羊来了。”“Is he well?” Jacob inquired. “Yes,” they answered, “and here comes his daughter Rachel with his sheep.”

⁷雅各说：“日头还高，不是羊群聚集的时候，你们不如饮羊，再去放一放。”“Look,” said Jacob, “it is still broad daylight; it is not yet time to gather the livestock. Water the sheep and take them back to pasture.”

⁸他们说：“我们不能，必等羊群聚齐，人把石头转离井口才可饮羊。”But they replied, “We cannot, until all the flocks have been gathered and the stone has been rolled away from the mouth of the well. Then we will water the sheep.”

⁹雅各正和他们说话的时候，拉结领着她父亲的羊来了，因为那些羊是她牧放的。While he was still speaking with them, Rachel arrived with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.

¹⁰雅各看见母舅拉班的女儿拉结和母舅拉班的羊群，就上前把石头转离井口，饮他母舅拉班的羊群。As soon as Jacob saw Rachel, the daughter of his mother’s brother Laban, with Laban’s sheep, he went up and rolled the stone away from the mouth of the well and watered his uncle’s sheep.

¹¹雅各与拉结亲嘴，就放声而哭。Then Jacob kissed Rachel and wept aloud.

¹²雅各告诉拉结，自己是她父亲的外甥，是利百加的儿子，拉结就跑去告诉她父亲。He told Rachel that he was Rebekah’s son, a relative of her father, and she ran and told her father.

拉班接待雅各

¹³拉班听见外甥雅各的信息，就跑去迎接，抱着他，与他亲嘴，领他到自己的家。雅各将一切的情由告诉拉班。When Laban heard the news about his sister’s son Jacob, he ran out to meet him. He embraced him and kissed him and brought him to his home, where Jacob told him all that had happened.

¹⁴拉班对他说：“你实在是我的骨肉。”雅各就和他同住了一个月。Then Laban declared, “You are indeed my own flesh and blood.” After Jacob had stayed with him a month,

为拉结服事七年

¹⁵拉班对雅各说：“你虽是我的骨肉（原文是弟兄），岂可白白地服事我？请告诉我，你要什么为工价？”Laban said to him, “Just because you are my relative, should you work for nothing? Tell me what your wages should be.”

¹⁶拉班有两个女儿，大的名叫利亚，小的名叫拉结。Now Laban had two daughters; the older was named Leah, and the younger was named Rachel.

¹⁷利亚的眼睛没有神气，拉结却生得美貌俊秀。Leah had weak eyes, but Rachel was shapely and beautiful.

¹⁸雅各爱拉结，就说：“我愿为你小女儿拉结服事你七年。”Since Jacob loved Rachel, he answered, “I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.”

¹⁹拉班说：“我把她给你，胜似给别人，你与我同住吧！”Laban replied, “Better that I give her to you than to another. Stay here with me.”

²⁰雅各就为拉结服事了七年；他因为深爱拉结，就看这七年如同几天。So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, yet it seemed but a few days because of his love for her.

拉班用利亚掉包

²¹雅各对拉班说：“日期已经满了，求你把我的妻子给我，我好与她同房。”Finally Jacob said to Laban, “Grant me my wife, for my time is complete, and I want to sleep with her.”

²²拉班就摆设筵席，请齐了那地方的众人。So Laban invited all the men of that place and prepared a feast.

²³到晚上，拉班将女儿利亚送来给雅各，雅各就与她同房。But when evening came, Laban took his daughter Leah and gave her to Jacob, and he slept with her.

²⁴拉班又将婢女悉帕给女儿利亚作使女。And Laban gave his servant girl Zilpah to his daughter Leah as her maidservant.

²⁵到了早晨，雅各一看是利亚，就对拉班说：“你向我做的是什么事呢？我服事你，不是为拉结吗？你为什么欺哄我呢？”When morning came, there was Leah! “What have you done to me?” Jacob said to Laban. “Wasn’t it for Rachel that I served you? Why have you deceived me?”

²⁶拉班说：“大女儿还没有给人，先把小女儿给人，在我们这地方没有这规矩。Laban replied, “It is not our custom here to give the younger daughter in marriage before the older.

再服事七年娶拉结

²⁷你为这个满了七日，我就把那个也给你，你再为她服事我七年。”Finish this week’s celebration, and we will give you the younger one in return for another seven years of work.”

²⁸雅各就如此行。满了利亚的七日，拉班便将女儿拉结给雅各为妻。And Jacob did just that. He finished the week’s celebration, and Laban gave him his daughter Rachel as his wife.

²⁹拉班又将婢女辟拉给女儿拉结作使女。Laban also gave his servant girl Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as her maidservant.

³⁰雅各也与拉结同房，并且爱拉结胜似爱利亚，于是又服事了拉班七年。Jacob slept with Rachel as well, and indeed, he loved Rachel more than Leah. So he worked for Laban another seven years.

耶稣怜悯群众：庄稼多，工人少

³⁵耶稣走遍各城各乡，在会堂里教训人，宣讲天国的福音，又医治各样的病症。Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness.

³⁶他看见许多的人，就怜悯他们；因为他们困苦流离，如同羊没有牧人一般。When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

³⁷于是对门徒说：“要收的庄稼多，做工的人少。Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

³⁸所以，你们当求庄稼的主打发工人出去收他的庄稼。”Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”

赐十二门徒权柄

¹耶稣叫了十二个门徒来，给他们权柄，能赶逐污鬼，并医治各样的病症。And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness.

先往以色列家迷失的羊那里去

⁵耶稣差这十二个人去，吩咐他们说：“外邦人的路，你们不要走；撒马利亚人的城，你们不要进；These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go onto the road of the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.

不要多带东西

⁹腰袋里不要带金银铜钱；Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts.

¹⁰行路不要带口袋；不要带两件褂子，也不要带鞋和拐杖。因为工人得饮食是应当的。Take no bag for the road, or second tunic, or sandals, or staff; for the worker is worthy of his provisions.

接待与不接待的城

¹¹你们无论进哪一城，哪一村，要打听那里谁是好人，就住在他家，直住到走的时候。Whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy there and stay at his house until you move on.

¹²进他家里去，要请他的安。As you enter the home, greet its occupants.

¹³那家若配得平安，你们所求的平安就必临到那家；若不配得，你们所求的平安仍归你们。If the home is worthy, let your peace rest on it, but if it is not, let your peace return to you.

¹⁴凡不接待你们、不听你们话的人，你们离开那家，或是那城的时候，就把脚上的尘土跺下去。And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.

¹⁵我实在告诉你们，当审判的日子，所多玛和蛾摩拉所受的，比那城还容易受呢！”Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
