全能的神与亚伯兰立约

¹亚伯兰年九十九岁的时候，耶和华向他显现，对他说：“我是全能的　神。你当在我面前作完全人，When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty. Walk before Me and be blameless.

²我就与你立约，使你的后裔极其繁多。”I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.”

³亚伯兰俯伏在地；　神又对他说：“Then Abram fell facedown, and God said to him,

改名亚伯拉罕

⁴我与你立约：你要作多国的父。“As for Me, this is My covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.

⁵从此以后，你的名不再叫亚伯兰，要叫亚伯拉罕，因为我已立你作多国的父。No longer will you be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.

⁷我要与你并你世世代代的后裔坚立我的约，作永远的约，是要作你和你后裔的　神。I will establish My covenant as an everlasting covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

⁸我要将你现在寄居的地，就是迦南全地，赐给你和你的后裔永远为业，我也必作他们的　神。”And to you and your descendants I will give the land where you are residing—all the land of Canaan—as an eternal possession; and I will be their God.”

割礼是立约的证据

⁹神又对亚伯拉罕说：“你和你的后裔必世世代代遵守我的约。God also said to Abraham, “You must keep My covenant—you and your descendants in the generations after you.

¹⁰你们所有的男子都要受割礼；这就是我与你并你的后裔所立的约，是你们所当遵守的。This is My covenant with you and your descendants after you, which you are to keep: Every male among you must be circumcised.

¹¹你们都要受割礼；这是我与你们立约的证据。You are to circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and this will be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.

¹²你们世世代代的男子，无论是家里生的，是在你后裔之外用银子从外人买的，生下来第八日，都要受割礼。Generation after generation, every male must be circumcised when he is eight days old, including those born in your household and those purchased from a foreigner—even those who are not your offspring.

¹³你家里生的和你用银子买的，都必须受割礼。这样，我的约就立在你们肉体上作永远的约。Whether they are born in your household or purchased, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh will be an everlasting covenant.

¹⁴但不受割礼的男子必从民中剪除，因他背了我的约。”But if any male is not circumcised, he will be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”

撒莱改名撒拉

¹⁵神又对亚伯拉罕说：“你的妻子撒莱不可再叫撒莱，她的名要叫撒拉。Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, do not call her Sarai, for her name is to be Sarah.

¹⁶我必赐福给她，也要使你从她得一个儿子。我要赐福给她，她也要作多国之母；必有百姓的君王从她而出。”And I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will descend from her.”

亚伯拉罕喜笑

¹⁷亚伯拉罕就俯伏在地喜笑，心里说：“一百岁的人还能得孩子吗？撒拉已经九十岁了，还能生养吗？”Abraham fell facedown. Then he laughed and said to himself, “Can a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah give birth at the age of ninety?”

¹⁸亚伯拉罕对　神说：“但愿以实玛利活在你面前。”And Abraham said to God, “O that Ishmael might live under Your blessing!”

¹⁹神说：“不然，你妻子撒拉要给你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚定所立的约，作他后裔永远的约。But God replied, “Your wife Sarah will indeed bear you a son, and you are to name him Isaac. I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

²⁰至于以实玛利，我也应允你：我必赐福给他，使他昌盛，极其繁多。他必生十二个族长；我也要使他成为大国。As for Ishmael, I have heard you, and I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and multiply him greatly. He will become the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

²¹到明年这时节，撒拉必给你生以撒，我要与他坚定所立的约。”But I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.”

²²神和亚伯拉罕说完了话，就离开他上升去了。When He had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.

全家受割礼

²³正当那日，亚伯拉罕遵着　神的命，给他的儿子以实玛利和家里的一切男子，无论是在家里生的，是用银子买的，都行了割礼。On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or purchased with his money—every male among the members of Abraham’s household—and he circumcised them, just as God had told him.

²⁴亚伯拉罕受割礼的时候年九十九岁。So Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised,

²⁵他儿子以实玛利受割礼的时候年十三岁。and his son Ishmael was thirteen;

²⁶正当那日，亚伯拉罕和他儿子以实玛利一同受了割礼。Abraham and his son Ishmael were circumcised on the same day.

²⁷家里所有的人，无论是在家里生的，是用银子从外人买的，也都一同受了割礼。And all the men of Abraham’s household—both servants born in his household and those purchased from foreigners—were circumcised with him.

接待三位客人

¹耶和华在幔利橡树那里向亚伯拉罕显现出来。那时正热，亚伯拉罕坐在帐棚门口，Then the LORD appeared to Abraham by the Oaks of Mamre in the heat of the day, while he was sitting at the entrance of his tent.

²举目观看，见有三个人在对面站着。他一见，就从帐棚门口跑去迎接他们，俯伏在地，And Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he ran from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.

³说：“我主，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要离开仆人往前去。“My lord,” said Abraham, “if I have found favor in your sight, please do not pass your servant by.

⁴容我拿点水来，你们洗洗脚，在树下歇息歇息。Let a little water be brought, that you may wash your feet and rest yourselves under the tree.

⁵我再拿一点饼来，你们可以加添心力，然后往前去。你们既到仆人这里来，理当如此。”他们说：“就照你说的行吧。”And I will bring a bit of bread so that you may refresh yourselves. This is why you have passed your servant’s way. After that, you may continue on your way.” “Yes,” they replied, “you may do as you have said.”

⁶亚伯拉罕急忙进帐棚见撒拉，说：“你速速拿三细亚细面调和做饼。”So Abraham hurried into the tent and said to Sarah, “Quick! Prepare three seahs of fine flour, knead it, and bake some bread.”

⁷亚伯拉罕又跑到牛群里，牵了一只又嫩又好的牛犊来，交给仆人，仆人急忙预备好了。Meanwhile, Abraham ran to the herd, selected a tender and choice calf, and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it.

⁸亚伯拉罕又取了奶油和奶，并预备好的牛犊来，摆在他们面前，自己在树下站在旁边，他们就吃了。Then Abraham brought curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and he set them before the men and stood by them under the tree as they ate.

撒拉必生一个儿子

⁹他们问亚伯拉罕说：“你妻子撒拉在哪里？”他说：“在帐棚里。”“Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked. “There, in the tent,” he replied.

¹⁰三人中有一位说：“到明年这时候，我必要回到你这里；你的妻子撒拉必生一个儿子。”撒拉在那人后边的帐棚门口也听见了这话。Then the LORD said, “I will surely return to you at this time next year, and your wife Sarah will have a son!” Now Sarah was behind him, listening at the entrance to the tent.

¹¹亚伯拉罕和撒拉年纪老迈，撒拉的月经已断绝了。And Abraham and Sarah were already old and well along in years; Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.

¹²撒拉心里暗笑，说：“我既已衰败，我主也老迈，岂能有这喜事呢？”So she laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?”

¹⁴耶和华岂有难成的事吗？到了日期，明年这时候，我必回到你这里，撒拉必生一个儿子。”Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you—in about a year—and Sarah will have a son.”

送客同行，神不瞒亚伯拉罕

¹⁶三人就从那里起行，向所多玛观看，亚伯拉罕也与他们同行，要送他们一程。When the men got up to leave, they looked out over Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them off.

¹⁷耶和华说：“我所要做的事岂可瞒着亚伯拉罕呢？And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?

为所多玛代求

²²二人转身离开那里，向所多玛去；但亚伯拉罕仍旧站在耶和华面前。And the two men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the LORD.

²³亚伯拉罕近前来，说：“无论善恶，你都要剿灭吗？Abraham stepped forward and said, “Will You really sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

²⁴假若那城里有五十个义人，你还剿灭那地方吗？不为城里这五十个义人饶恕其中的人吗？What if there are fifty righteous ones in the city? Will You really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous ones who are there?

²⁵将义人与恶人同杀，将义人与恶人一样看待，这断不是你所行的。审判全地的主岂不行公义吗？”Far be it from You to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Will not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”

²⁶耶和华说：“我若在所多玛城里见有五十个义人，我就为他们的缘故饶恕那地方的众人。”So the LORD replied, “If I find fifty righteous ones within the city of Sodom, on their account I will spare the whole place.”

²⁷亚伯拉罕说：“我虽然是灰尘，还敢对主说话。Then Abraham answered, “Now that I have ventured to speak to the Lord—though I am but dust and ashes—

²⁸假若这五十个义人短了五个，你就因为短了五个毁灭全城吗？”他说：“我在那里若见有四十五个，也不毁灭那城。”suppose the fifty righteous ones lack five. Will You destroy the whole city for the lack of five?” He replied, “If I find forty-five there, I will not destroy it.”

²⁹亚伯拉罕又对他说：“假若在那里见有四十个怎么样呢？”他说：“为这四十个的缘故，我也不做这事。”Once again Abraham spoke to the LORD, “Suppose forty are found there?” He answered, “On account of the forty, I will not do it.”

³⁰亚伯拉罕说：“求主不要动怒，容我说，假若在那里见有三十个怎么样呢？”他说：“我在那里若见有三十个，我也不做这事。”Then Abraham said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak further. Suppose thirty are found there?” He replied, “If I find thirty there, I will not do it.”

³¹亚伯拉罕说：“我还敢对主说话，假若在那里见有二十个怎么样呢？”他说：“为这二十个的缘故，我也不毁灭那城。”And Abraham said, “Now that I have ventured to speak to the Lord, suppose twenty are found there?” He answered, “On account of the twenty, I will not destroy it.”

³²亚伯拉罕说：“求主不要动怒，我再说这一次，假若在那里见有十个呢？”他说：“为这十个的缘故，我也不毁灭那城。”Finally, Abraham said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak once more. Suppose ten are found there?” And He answered, “On account of the ten, I will not destroy it.”

³³耶和华与亚伯拉罕说完了话就走了；亚伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。When the LORD had finished speaking with Abraham, He departed, and Abraham returned home.

不可故意叫人看见

¹“你们要小心，不可将善事行在人的面前，故意叫他们看见，若是这样，就不能得你们天父的赏赐了。“Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

暗中施舍

²所以，你施舍的时候，不可在你前面吹号，像那假冒为善的人在会堂里和街道上所行的，故意要得人的荣耀。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.

³你施舍的时候，不要叫左手知道右手所做的，But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

⁴要叫你施舍的事行在暗中。你父在暗中察看，必然报答你（有古卷：必在明处报答你）。”so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

暗中祷告

⁵“你们祷告的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，爱站在会堂里和十字路口上祷告，故意叫人看见。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.

⁶你祷告的时候，要进你的内屋，关上门，祷告你在暗中的父；你父在暗中察看，必然报答你。But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

⁷你们祷告，不可像外邦人，用许多重复话，他们以为话多了必蒙垂听。And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.

⁸你们不可效法他们；因为你们没有祈求以先，你们所需用的，你们的父早已知道了。Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

主祷文

⁹所以，你们祷告要这样说：我们在天上的父：愿人都尊你的名为圣。So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

¹⁰愿你的国降临；愿你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上。Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

¹¹我们日用的饮食，今日赐给我们。Give us this day our daily bread.

¹²免我们的债，如同我们免了人的债。And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

¹³不叫我们遇见试探；救我们脱离凶恶（或译：脱离恶者）。因为国度、权柄、荣耀，全是你的，直到永远。阿们（有古卷没有因为……阿们等字）！And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

饶恕人的过犯

¹⁴“你们饶恕人的过犯，你们的天父也必饶恕你们的过犯；For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

¹⁵你们不饶恕人的过犯，你们的天父也必不饶恕你们的过犯。”But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.

暗中禁食

¹⁶“你们禁食的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，脸上带着愁容；因为他们把脸弄得难看，故意叫人看出他们是禁食。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.

¹⁷你禁食的时候，要梳头洗脸，But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

¹⁸不叫人看出你禁食来，只叫你暗中的父看见；你父在暗中察看，必然报答你。”so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

积攒财宝在天上

¹⁹“不要为自己积攒财宝在地上；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖窟窿来偷。Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

²⁰只要积攒财宝在天上；天上没有虫子咬，不能锈坏，也没有贼挖窟窿来偷。But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

²¹因为你的财宝在哪里，你的心也在那里。”For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

眼睛是身上的灯

²²“眼睛就是身上的灯。你的眼睛若了亮，全身就光明；The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.

²³你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你里头的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！”But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

不能事奉两个主

²⁴“一个人不能事奉两个主；不是恶这个、爱那个，就是重这个、轻那个。你们不能又事奉　神，又事奉玛门（玛门：财利的意思）。”No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

不要忧虑

²⁵“所以我告诉你们，不要为生命忧虑吃什么，喝什么；为身体忧虑穿什么。生命不胜于饮食吗？身体不胜于衣裳吗？Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

²⁶你们看那天上的飞鸟，也不种，也不收，也不积蓄在仓里，你们的天父尚且养活它。你们不比飞鸟贵重得多吗？Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

²⁷你们哪一个能用思虑使寿数多加一刻呢（或译：使身量多加一肘呢）？Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

²⁸何必为衣裳忧虑呢？你想野地里的百合花怎么长起来；它也不劳苦，也不纺线。And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.

²⁹然而我告诉你们，就是所罗门极荣华的时候，他所穿戴的，还不如这花一朵呢！Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.

³⁰你们这小信的人哪！野地里的草今天还在，明天就丢在炉里，　神还给它这样的妆饰，何况你们呢！If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

³¹所以，不要忧虑说，吃什么？喝什么？穿什么？Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

³²这都是外邦人所求的，你们需用的这一切东西，你们的天父是知道的。For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

先求祂的国和祂的义

³³你们要先求他的国和他的义，这些东西都要加给你们了。But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

³⁴所以，不要为明天忧虑，因为明天自有明天的忧虑；一天的难处一天当就够了。”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
