1（又名逾越節）近了。Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,
2祭司長和文士想法子怎麼才能殺害耶穌，是因他們懼怕百姓。and the chief priests and scribes were looking for a way to put Jesus to death, for they feared the people.
3這時，撒但入了那稱為的心；他本是十二門徒裡的一個。Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve.
4他去和祭司長並商量，怎麼可以把耶穌交給他們。And Judas went to discuss with the chief priests and temple officers how he might betray Jesus to them.
5他們歡喜，就給他銀子。They were delighted and agreed to give him money.
6他應允了，就找機會，要趁的時候把耶穌交給他們。Judas consented, and began to look for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them in the absence of a crowd.
7除酵節，須宰的那一天到了。Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb was to be sacrificed.
8耶穌打發彼得、約翰，說：「你們去為我們預備逾越節的筵席，好叫我們吃。」Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
9他們問他說：「要我們在哪裡預備？」“Where do You want us to prepare it?” they asked.
10耶穌說：「你們進了城，必有人拿著迎面而來，你們就跟著他，到他所進的房子裡去，He answered, “When you enter the city, a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him to the house he enters,
11對那家的主人說：『夫子說：客房在哪裡？我與門徒好在那裡吃逾越節的筵席。』and say to the owner of that house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’
12他必指給你們擺設整齊的一間，你們就在那裡預備。」And he will show you a large upper room, already furnished. Make preparations there.”
13他們去了，所遇見的正如耶穌所說的；他們就預備了逾越節的筵席。So they went and found it just as Jesus had told them. And they prepared the Passover.
14時候到了，耶穌坐席，使徒也和他同坐。When the hour had come, Jesus reclined at the table with His apostles.
15耶穌對他們說：「我很願意在以先和你們吃這逾越節的筵席。And He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering.
16我告訴你們，我不再吃這筵席，直到成就在 神的國裡。」For I tell you that I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
17耶穌接過杯來，了，說：「你們拿這個，大家分著喝。After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.
18我告訴你們，從今以後，我不再喝這葡萄汁，直等 神的國來到。」For I tell you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”
19又拿起餅來，祝謝了，就，遞給他們，說：「這是我的身體，為你們捨的，你們也應當如此行，為的是記念我。」And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20飯後也照樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我血所立的，是為你們流出來的。In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.
21看哪，那賣我之人的手與我一同在桌子上。Look! The hand of My betrayer is with Mine on the table.
22人子固然要照所預定的，但賣人子的人有禍了！」Indeed, the Son of Man will go as it has been determined, but woe to that man who betrays Him.”
23他們就彼此對問，是哪一個要做這事。Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.
24門徒起了，他們中間哪一個可算為大。A dispute also arose among the disciples as to which of them should be considered the greatest.
25耶穌說：「外邦人有君王為主治理他們，那掌權管他們的稱為。So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors.
26但你們不可這樣；你們裡頭為大的，倒要像，為首領的，倒要像服事人的。But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves.
27是誰為大？是坐席的呢？是服事人的呢？不是坐席的大嗎？然而，我在你們中間如同服事人的。For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.
28我在之中，常和我同在的就是你們。You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials.
29我將國賜給你們，正如我父賜給我一樣，And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,
30叫你們在我國裡，坐在我的席上吃喝，並且坐在寶座上，審判以色列。」so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31主又說：「西門！西門！想要得著你們，好你們像篩麥子一樣；Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat.
32但我已經為你祈求，叫你不至於失了信心。你回頭以後，要堅固你的弟兄。」But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
33彼得說：「主啊，我就是同你下監，同你受死，也是甘心！」“Lord,” said Peter, “I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death.”
34耶穌說：「彼得，我告訴你，今日雞還沒有叫，你要三次說不認得我。」But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”
35耶穌又對他們說：「我差你們出去的時候，沒有，沒有口袋，沒有鞋，你們缺少甚麼沒有？」他們說：「沒有。」Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out without purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.
36耶穌說：「但如今有錢囊的可以帶著，有口袋的也可以帶著，沒有刀的要賣衣服。“Now, however,” He told them, “the one with a purse should take it, and likewise a bag; and the one without a sword should sell his cloak and buy one.
37我告訴你們，經上寫著說：『他。』這話必應驗在我身上；因為那關係我的事必然成就。」For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.”
38他們說：「主啊，請看！這裡有兩把刀。」耶穌說：「夠了。」So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.
39耶穌出來，照常往橄欖山去，門徒也跟隨他。Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
40到了那地方，就對他們說：「你們要禱告，免得入了迷惑。」When He came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”
41於是離開他們約有扔一塊石頭那麼遠，跪下禱告，And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,
42說：「父啊！你若願意，就把撤去；然而，不要成就我的意思，只要成就你的意思。」“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
43有一位天使從天上顯現，加添他的力量。Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.
44耶穌極其傷痛，禱告更加，汗珠如滴在地上。And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45禱告完了，就起來，到門徒那裡，見他們因為憂愁都睡著了，When Jesus rose from prayer and returned to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.
46就對他們說：「你們為甚麼睡覺呢？起來禱告，免得入了迷惑！」“Why are you sleeping?” He asked. “Get up and pray so that you will not enter into temptation.”
47說話之間，來了許多人。那十二個門徒裡名叫猶大的，走在前頭，就近耶穌，要與他。While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.
48耶穌對他說：「猶大！你用親嘴的賣人子嗎？」But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49左右的人見光景不好，就說：「主啊！我們拿刀砍可以不可以？」Those around Jesus saw what was about to happen and said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?”
50內中有一個人把的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他的右耳。And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
51耶穌說：「到了這個地步，！」就摸那人的耳朵，把他治好了。But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.
52耶穌對那些來拿他的祭司長和守殿官並長老說：「你們帶著出來拿我，如同拿強盜嗎？Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?
53我天天同你們在殿裡，你們不下手拿我。現在卻是你們的時候，了。」Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”
54他們拿住耶穌，把他帶到大祭司的宅裡。彼得遠遠地跟著。Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.
55他們在裡生了火，一同坐著；彼得也坐在他們中間。When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
56有一個使女看見彼得坐在火光裡，就看他，說：「這個人素來也是同那人一夥的。」A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.
57彼得卻不承認，說：「女子，我不認得他。」But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.
58過了不多的時候，又有一個人看見他，說：「你也是他們一黨的。」彼得說：「你這個人！我不是。」A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
59約過了一小時，又有一個人極力地說：「他實在是同那人一夥的，因為他也是。」About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”
60彼得說：「你這個人！我不曉得你說的是甚麼！」正說話之間，雞就叫了。“Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
61主轉過身來看彼得，彼得便想起主對他所說的話：「今日雞叫以先，你要三次不認我。」And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
62他就出去痛哭。And he went outside and wept bitterly.
63看守耶穌的人戲弄他，打他，The men who were holding Jesus began to mock Him and beat Him.
64又，問他說：「你是先知，告訴我們打你的是誰？」They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”
65他們還用許多別的話他。And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.
66天一亮，民間的眾長老連祭司長帶文士都聚會，把耶穌帶到他們的裡，At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,
67說：「你若是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌說：「我若告訴你們，你們也不信；“If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.
68我若問你們，你們也不回答。And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.
69從今以後，人子要坐在 。」But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
70他們都說：「這樣，你是 神的兒子嗎？」耶穌說：「。」So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”
71他們說：「何必再用見證呢？他親口所說的，我們都親自聽見了。」“Why do we need any more testimony?” they declared. “We have heard it for ourselves from His own lips.”
