1以色列啊，你要歸向耶和華─你的 神；你是因自己的罪孽跌倒了。Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God, for you have stumbled by your iniquity.
2當歸向耶和華，用言語禱告他說：求你除淨罪孽，悅納善行；這樣，我們就把代替牛犢獻上。Bring your confessions and return to the LORD. Say to Him: “Take away all our iniquity and receive us graciously, that we may present the fruit of our lips.
3我們不向亞述求救，不騎埃及的馬，也不再對我們手所造的說：你是我們的 神。因為孤兒在你─耶和華那裡得蒙憐憫。Assyria will not save us, nor will we ride on horses. We will never again say, ‘Our gods!’ to the work of our own hands. For in You the fatherless find compassion.”
4我必醫治他們背道的病，甘心愛他們；因為我的怒氣向他們轉消。I will heal their apostasy; I will freely love them, for My anger has turned away from them.
5我必向以色列如甘露；他必如百合花開放，如的樹木扎根。I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like the lily and take root like the cedars of Lebanon.
6他的枝條必延長；他的榮華如橄欖樹；他的香氣如黎巴嫩的香柏樹。His shoots will sprout, and his splendor will be like the olive tree, his fragrance like the cedars of Lebanon.
7曾住在他蔭下的必歸回，發旺如五穀，開花如葡萄樹。他的香氣如黎巴嫩的酒。They will return and dwell in his shade; they will grow grain and blossom like the vine. His renown will be like the wine of Lebanon.
8以法蓮必說：我與偶像還有甚麼關涉呢？我─耶和華回答他，也必顧念他。我如青翠的；你的果子從我而得。O Ephraim, what have I to do anymore with idols? It is I who answer and watch over him. I am like a flourishing cypress; your fruit comes from Me.
9誰是智慧人？可以明白這些事；誰是通達人？可以知道這一切。因為，耶和華的道是正直的；義人必在其中行走，罪人卻在其上跌倒。Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them but the rebellious stumble in them.
