1雅各叫了他的兒子們來，說：「你們都來聚集，我好把你們日後必遇的事告訴你們。Then Jacob called for his sons and said, “Gather around so that I can tell you what will happen to you in the days to come:
2雅各的兒子們，你們要聚集而聽，要聽你們父親以色列的話。Come together and listen, O sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.
3流便哪，你是我的長子，是我力量強壯的時候生的，本當大有尊榮，權力超眾。Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.
4但你放縱情慾，，必不得居首位；因為你上了你父親的床，污穢了我的榻。Uncontrolled as the waters, you will no longer excel, because you went up to your father’s bed, onto my couch, and defiled it.
5西緬和利未是弟兄；他們的刀劍是殘忍的器具。Simeon and Levi are brothers; their swords are weapons of violence.
6我的靈啊，不要與他們同謀；我的心哪，不要與他們聯絡；因為他們趁怒殺害人命，任意。May I never enter their council; may I never join their assembly. For they kill men in their anger, and hamstring oxen on a whim.
7他們的怒氣暴烈可咒；他們的忿恨殘忍可詛。我要使他們分居在雅各家裡，散住在以色列地中。Cursed be their anger, for it is strong, and their wrath, for it is cruel! I will disperse them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel.
8猶大啊，你弟兄們必讚美你；你手必掐住仇敵的頸項；你父親的兒子們必向你下拜。Judah, your brothers shall praise you. Your hand shall be on the necks of your enemies; your father’s sons shall bow down to you.
9猶大是個小獅子；我兒啊，你抓了食便上去。你屈下身去，臥如公獅，蹲如母獅，誰敢惹你？Judah is a young lion—my son, you return from the prey. Like a lion he crouches and lies down; like a lioness, who dares to rouse him?
10必不離猶大，杖必不離他兩腳之間，直等來到，萬民都必歸順。The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes and the allegiance of the nations is his.
11猶大把小驢拴在葡萄樹上，把驢駒拴在美好的葡萄樹上。他在葡萄酒中洗了衣服，在葡萄汁中洗了。He ties his donkey to the vine, his colt to the choicest branch. He washes his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.
12他的眼睛必因酒紅潤；他的牙齒必因奶白亮。His eyes are darker than wine, and his teeth are whiter than milk.
13西布倫必住在海口，必成為停船的海口；他的境界必延到西頓。Zebulun shall dwell by the seashore and become a harbor for ships; his border shall extend to Sidon.
14以薩迦是個強壯的驢，臥在羊圈之中。Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the sheepfolds.
15他以安靜為佳，以肥地為美，便低肩背重，成為服苦的僕人。He saw that his resting place was good and that his land was pleasant, so he bent his shoulder to the burden and submitted to labor as a servant.
16但必判斷他的民，作以色列支派之一。Dan shall provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
17但必作道上的蛇，路中的，咬傷馬蹄，使騎馬的墜落於後。He will be a snake by the road, a viper in the path that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.
18耶和華啊，我向來等候你的救恩。I await Your salvation, O LORD.
19迦得必被敵軍追逼，他卻要追逼他們的腳跟。Gad will be attacked by raiders, but he will attack their heels.
20亞設之地必出肥美的糧食，且出君王的美味。Asher’s food will be rich; he shall provide royal delicacies.
21拿弗他利是被釋放的母鹿；他出嘉美的言語。Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.
22約瑟是多結果子的樹枝，是泉旁多結果的枝子；他的枝條探出牆外。Joseph is a fruitful vine—a fruitful vine by a spring, whose branches scale the wall.
23弓箭手將他苦害，向他射箭，逼迫他。The archers attacked him with bitterness; they aimed at him in hostility.
24但他的弓仍舊堅硬；他的手健壯敏捷。這是因以色列的牧者，以色列的磐石─就是雅各的大能者。Yet he steadied his bow, and his strong arms were tempered by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, in the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25你父親的 神必幫助你；那全能者必將天上所有的福，地裡所藏的福，以及生產乳養的福，都賜給你。by the God of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blesses you, with blessings of the heavens above, with blessings of the depths below, with blessings of the breasts and womb.
26你父親所祝的福勝過我祖先所祝的福如永世的山嶺，至極的邊界；這些福必降在約瑟的頭上，臨到那與弟兄之人的頂上。The blessings of your father have surpassed the blessings of the ancient mountains and the bounty of the everlasting hills. May they rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince of his brothers.
27便雅憫是個的狼，早晨要吃他所抓的，晚上要分他所奪的。」Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.”
28這一切是以色列的十二支派；這也是他們的父親對他們所說的話，為他們所祝的福，都是按著各人的福分為他們祝福。These are the tribes of Israel, twelve in all, and this was what their father said to them. He blessed them, and he blessed each one with a suitable blessing.
29他又囑咐他們說：「我將要歸到我列祖那裡，你們要將我葬在赫人以弗崙田間的洞裡，與我祖我父在一處，Then Jacob instructed them, “I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite.
30就是在迦南地幔利前、田間的洞；那洞和田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來為業，作墳地的。The cave is in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, in the land of Canaan. This is the field Abraham purchased from Ephron the Hittite as a burial site.
31他們在那裡葬了亞伯拉罕和他妻撒拉，又在那裡葬了以撒和他的妻子利百加；我也在那裡葬了利亞。There Abraham and his wife Sarah are buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah are buried, and there I buried Leah.
32那塊田和田間的洞原是向赫人買的。」The field and the cave that is in it were purchased from the Hittites.”
33雅各囑咐眾子已畢，就把腳收在床上，氣絕而死，歸他列祖那裡去了。When Jacob had finished instructing his sons, he pulled his feet into the bed and breathed his last, and he was gathered to his people.
