1「那時，耶和華吩咐我說：『你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，上山到我這裡來，又要做一。At that time the LORD said to me, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the originals, come up to Me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
2你先前摔碎的那版，其上的字我要寫在這版上；你要將這版放在櫃中。』And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; and you are to place them in the ark.”
3於是我用做了一櫃，又鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，手裡拿這兩塊版上山去了。So I made an ark of acacia wood, chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals, and went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hands.
4耶和華將那大會之日、在山上從火中所傳與你們的十條誡，照先前所寫的，寫在這版上，將版交給我了。And the LORD wrote on the tablets what had been written previously, the Ten Commandments that He had spoken to you on the mountain out of the fire on the day of the assembly. The LORD gave them to me,
5我轉身下山，將這版放在我所做的櫃中，現今還在那裡，正如耶和華所吩咐我的。」and I went back down the mountain and placed the tablets in the ark I had made, as the LORD had commanded me; and there they have remained.
6（以色列人從比羅比尼‧亞干（或譯：亞干井）起行，到了摩西拉。亞倫死在那裡，就葬在那裡。他兒子以利亞撒接續他供祭司的職分。The Israelites traveled from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah, where Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him as priest.
7他們從那裡起行，到了谷歌大，又從谷歌大到了有溪水之地的約巴他。From there they traveled to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land with streams of water.
8那時，耶和華將利未支派分別出來，抬耶和華的約櫃，又侍立在耶和華面前事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到今日。At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to serve Him, and to pronounce blessings in His name, as they do to this day.
9所以利未人在他弟兄中無分無業，耶和華是他的產業，正如耶和華─你 神所應許他的。）That is why Levi has no portion or inheritance among his brothers; the LORD is his inheritance, as the LORD your God promised him.
10「我又像從前在山上住了四十晝夜。那次耶和華也應允我，不忍將你滅絕。I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, like the first time, and that time the LORD again listened to me and agreed not to destroy you.
11耶和華吩咐我說：『你起來引導這百姓，使他們進去得我向他們列祖起誓應許所賜之地。』」Then the LORD said to me, “Get up. Continue your journey ahead of the people, that they may enter and possess the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.”
12「以色列啊，現在耶和華─你 神向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華─你的 神，遵行他的道，愛他，盡心盡性事奉他，And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
13遵守他的誡命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，為要叫你得福。and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD that I am giving you this day for your own good?
14看哪，天和天上的天，地和地上所有的，都屬耶和華─你的 神。Behold, to the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, and the earth and everything in it.
15耶和華但喜悅你的列祖，愛他們，從萬民中揀選他們的後裔，就是你們，像今日一樣。Yet the LORD has set His affection on your fathers and loved them. And He has chosen you, their descendants after them, above all the peoples, even to this day.
16所以你們要將除掉，不可再硬著頸項。Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and stiffen your necks no more.
17因為耶和華─你們的 神─他是，萬主之主，至大的 神，大有能力，大而可畏，，也不受賄賂。For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God, showing no partiality and accepting no bribe.
18他為，又憐愛寄居的，賜給他衣食。He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and He loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing.
19所以你們要憐愛寄居的，因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的。So you also must love the foreigner, since you yourselves were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
20你要敬畏耶和華─你的 神，事奉他，專靠他，也要指著他的名起誓。You are to fear the LORD your God and serve Him. Hold fast to Him and take your oaths in His name.
21他是你所讚美的，是你的 神，為你做了那大而可畏的事，是你親眼所看見的。He is your praise and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome wonders that your eyes have seen.
22你的列祖下埃及；現在耶和華─你的 神使你如同天上的星那樣多。」Your fathers went down to Egypt, seventy in all, and now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky.
