希西家接續作王

²⁷亞哈斯與他列祖同睡，葬在耶路撒冷城裡，沒有送入以色列諸王的墳墓中。他兒子希西家接續他作王。And Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of Jerusalem, but he was not placed in the tombs of the kings of Israel. And his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.

希西家打開聖殿的門

¹希西家登基的時候年二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母親名叫亞比雅，是撒迦利雅的女兒。Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

²希西家行耶和華眼中看為正的事，效法他祖大衛一切所行的。And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.

³元年正月，開了耶和華殿的門，重新修理。In the first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah opened and repaired the doors of the house of the LORD.

吩咐利未人潔淨聖殿

⁴他召眾祭司和利未人來，聚集在東邊的寬闊處，Then he brought in the priests and Levites and gathered them in the square on the east side.

⁵對他們說：「利未人哪，當聽我說：現在你們要潔淨自己，又潔淨耶和華─你們列祖　神的殿，從聖所中除去污穢之物。“Listen to me, O Levites,” he said. “Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the house of the LORD, the God of your fathers. Remove from the Holy Place every impurity.

⁶我們列祖犯了罪，行耶和華─我們　神眼中看為惡的事，離棄他，轉臉背向他的居所，For our fathers were unfaithful and did evil in the sight of the LORD our God. They abandoned Him, turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs on Him.

⁷封鎖廊門，吹滅燈火，不在聖所中向以色列　神燒香，或獻燔祭。They also shut the doors of the portico and extinguished the lamps. They did not burn incense or present burnt offerings in the Holy Place of the God of Israel.

⁸因此，耶和華的忿怒臨到猶大和耶路撒冷，將其中的人拋來拋去，令人驚駭、嗤笑，正如你們親眼所見的。Therefore, the wrath of the LORD has fallen upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has made them an object of terror, horror, and scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.

⁹所以我們的祖宗倒在刀下，我們的妻子兒女也被擄掠。For behold, this is why our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and daughters and wives are in captivity.

¹⁰現在我心中有意與耶和華─以色列的　神立約，好使他的烈怒轉離我們。Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, so that His fierce anger will turn away from us.

¹¹我的眾子啊，現在不要懈怠；因為耶和華揀選你們站在他面前事奉他，與他燒香。」Now, my sons, do not be negligent, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, to minister before Him, and to burn incense.”

利未人潔淨聖殿

¹²於是，利未人哥轄的子孫、亞瑪賽的兒子瑪哈，亞撒利雅的兒子約珥；米拉利的子孫、亞伯底的兒子基士，耶哈利勒的兒子亞撒利雅；革順的子孫、薪瑪的兒子約亞，約亞的兒子伊甸；Then the Levites set to work: Mahath son of Amasai and Joel son of Azariah from the Kohathites; Kish son of Abdi and Azariah son of Jehallelel from the Merarites; Joah son of Zimmah and Eden son of Joah from the Gershonites;

¹³以利撒反的子孫申利和耶利；亞薩的子孫撒迦利雅和瑪探雅；Shimri and Jeuel from the Elizaphanites; Zechariah and Mattaniah from the Asaphites;

¹⁴希幔的子孫耶歇和示每；耶杜頓的子孫示瑪雅和烏薛；Jehiel and Shimei from the Hemanites; and Shemaiah and Uzziel from the Jeduthunites.

¹⁵起來聚集他們的弟兄，潔淨自己，照著王的吩咐、耶和華的命令，進去潔淨耶和華的殿。When they had assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves, they went in to cleanse the house of the LORD, according to the command of the king by the words of the LORD.

¹⁶祭司進入耶和華的殿要潔淨殿，將殿中所有污穢之物搬到耶和華殿的院內，利未人接去，搬到外頭汲淪溪邊。So the priests went inside the house of the LORD to cleanse it, and they brought out to the courtyard all the unclean things that they found in the temple of the LORD. Then the Levites took these things and carried them out to the Kidron Valley.

¹⁷從正月初一日潔淨起，初八日到了耶和華的殿廊，用八日的工夫潔淨耶和華的殿，到正月十六日才潔淨完了。They began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they reached the portico of the LORD. For eight more days they consecrated the house of the LORD itself, finishing on the sixteenth day of the first month.

¹⁸於是，他們晉見希西家王，說：「我們已將耶和華的全殿和燔祭壇，並壇的一切器皿、陳設餅的桌子，與桌子的一切器皿都潔淨了；Then they went in to King Hezekiah and reported, “We have cleansed the entire house of the LORD, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the table of the showbread with all its utensils.

¹⁹並且亞哈斯王在位犯罪的時候所廢棄的器皿，我們預備齊全，且潔淨了，現今都在耶和華的壇前。」Moreover, we have prepared and consecrated all the articles that King Ahaz in his unfaithfulness cast aside during his reign. They are now in front of the altar of the LORD.”

獻贖罪祭

²⁰希西家王清早起來，聚集城裡的首領都上耶和華的殿；Early the next morning King Hezekiah gathered the city officials and went up to the house of the LORD.

²¹牽了七隻公牛，七隻公羊，七隻羊羔，七隻公山羊，要為國、為殿、為猶大人作贖罪祭。王吩咐亞倫的子孫眾祭司，獻在耶和華的壇上，They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And the king commanded the priests, the descendants of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the LORD.

²²就宰了公牛，祭司接血灑在壇上，宰了公羊，把血灑在壇上，又宰了羊羔，也把血灑在壇上；So they slaughtered the bulls, and the priests took the blood and splattered it on the altar. They slaughtered the rams and splattered the blood on the altar. And they slaughtered the lambs and splattered the blood on the altar.

²³把那作贖罪祭的公山羊牽到王和會眾面前，他們就按手在其上。Then they brought the goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly, who laid their hands on them.

²⁴祭司宰了羊，將血獻在壇上作贖罪祭，為以色列眾人贖罪，因為王吩咐將燔祭和贖罪祭為以色列眾人獻上。And the priests slaughtered the goats and put their blood on the altar for a sin offering, to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had ordered the burnt offering and the sin offering for all Israel.

恢復聖殿的歌唱

²⁵王又派利未人在耶和華殿中敲鈸，鼓瑟，彈琴，乃照大衛和他先見迦得，並先知拿單所吩咐的，就是耶和華藉先知所吩咐的。Hezekiah stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres according to the command of David, of Gad the king’s seer, and of Nathan the prophet. For the command had come from the LORD through His prophets.

²⁶利未人拿大衛的樂器，祭司拿號，一同站立。The Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

²⁷希西家吩咐在壇上獻燔祭，燔祭一獻，就唱讚美耶和華的歌，用號，並用以色列王大衛的樂器相和。And Hezekiah ordered that the burnt offering be sacrificed on the altar. When the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD and the trumpets began as well, accompanied by the instruments of David king of Israel.

²⁸會眾都敬拜，歌唱的歌唱，吹號的吹號，如此直到燔祭獻完了。The whole assembly was worshiping, the singers were singing, and the trumpeters were playing. All this continued until the burnt offering was completed.

²⁹獻完了祭，王和一切跟隨的人都俯伏敬拜。When the offerings were completed, the king and all those present with him bowed down and worshiped.

³⁰希西家王與眾首領又吩咐利未人用大衛和先見亞薩的詩詞頌讚耶和華；他們就歡歡喜喜地頌讚耶和華，低頭敬拜。Then King Hezekiah and his officials ordered the Levites to sing praises to the LORD in the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with gladness and bowed down and worshiped.

會眾甘心獻祭

³¹希西家說：「你們既然歸耶和華為聖，就要前來把祭物和感謝祭奉到耶和華殿裡。」會眾就把祭物和感謝祭奉來，凡甘心樂意的也將燔祭奉來。Then Hezekiah said, “Now that you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the house of the LORD.” So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings.

³²會眾所奉的燔祭如下：公牛七十隻，公羊一百隻，羊羔二百隻，這都是作燔祭獻給耶和華的；The number of burnt offerings the assembly brought was seventy bulls, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs; all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.

³³又有分別為聖之物，公牛六百隻，綿羊三千隻。And the consecrated offerings were six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep.

³⁴但祭司太少，不能剝盡燔祭牲的皮，所以他們的弟兄利未人幫助他們，直等燔祭的事完了，又等別的祭司自潔了；因為利未人誠心自潔，勝過祭司。However, since there were not enough priests to skin all the burnt offerings, their Levite brothers helped them until the work was finished and until the priests had consecrated themselves. For the Levites had been more diligent in consecrating themselves than the priests had been.

³⁵燔祭和平安祭牲的脂油，並燔祭同獻的奠祭甚多。這樣，耶和華殿中的事務俱都齊備了（或譯：就整頓了）。Furthermore, the burnt offerings were abundant, along with the fat of the peace offerings and the drink offerings for the burnt offerings. So the service of the house of the LORD was established.

³⁶這事辦的甚速，希西家和眾民都喜樂，是因　神為眾民所預備的。Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had prepared for the people, because everything had been accomplished so quickly.

邀請全以色列守逾越節

¹希西家差遣人去見以色列和猶大眾人，又寫信給以法蓮和瑪拿西人，叫他們到耶路撒冷耶和華的殿，向耶和華─以色列的　神守逾越節；Then Hezekiah sent word throughout all Israel and Judah, and he also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh inviting them to come to the house of the LORD in Jerusalem to keep the Passover of the LORD, the God of Israel.

²因為王和眾首領，並耶路撒冷全會眾已經商議，要在二月內守逾越節。For the king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem had decided to keep the Passover in the second month,

³正月（原文是那時）間他們不能守；因為自潔的祭司尚不敷用，百姓也沒有聚集在耶路撒冷；since they had been unable to keep it at the regular time, because not enough priests had consecrated themselves and the people had not been gathered in Jerusalem.

⁴王與全會眾都以這事為善。This plan pleased the king and the whole assembly.

⁵於是定了命令，傳遍以色列，從別是巴直到但，使他們都來，在耶路撒冷向耶和華─以色列的　神守逾越節；因為照所寫的例，守這節的不多了（或譯：因為民許久沒有照所寫的例守節了）。So they established a decree to circulate a proclamation throughout Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that the people should come to keep the Passover of the LORD, the God of Israel, in Jerusalem. For they had not observed it in great numbers as prescribed.

⁶驛卒就把王和眾首領的信，遵著王命傳遍以色列和猶大。信內說：「以色列人哪，你們當轉向耶和華─亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的　神，好叫他轉向你們這脫離亞述王手的餘民。At the command of the king, the couriers went throughout Israel and Judah with letters from the king and his officials, which read: “Children of Israel, return to the LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so that He may return to those of you who remain, who have escaped the grasp of the kings of Assyria.

⁷你們不要效法你們列祖和你們的弟兄；他們干犯耶和華─他們列祖的　神，以致耶和華丟棄他們，使他們敗亡（或譯：令人驚駭），正如你們所見的。Do not be like your fathers and brothers who were unfaithful to the LORD, the God of their fathers, so that He made them an object of horror, as you can see.

⁸現在不要像你們列祖硬著頸項，只要歸順耶和華，進入他的聖所，就是永遠成聖的居所；又要事奉耶和華─你們的　神，好使他的烈怒轉離你們。Now do not stiffen your necks as your fathers did. Submit to the LORD and come to His sanctuary, which He has consecrated forever. Serve the LORD your God, so that His fierce anger will turn away from you.

⁹你們若轉向耶和華，你們的弟兄和兒女必在擄掠他們的人面前蒙憐恤，得以歸回這地，因為耶和華─你們的　神有恩典、施憐憫。你們若轉向他，他必不轉臉不顧你們。」For if you return to the LORD, your brothers and sons will receive mercy in the presence of their captors and will return to this land. For the LORD your God is gracious and merciful; He will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.”

有人戲笑，有人自卑前來

¹⁰驛卒就由這城跑到那城，傳遍了以法蓮、瑪拿西，直到西布倫。那裡的人卻戲笑他們，譏誚他們。And the couriers traveled from city to city through the land of Ephraim and Manasseh as far as Zebulun, but the people scorned and mocked them.

¹¹然而亞設、瑪拿西、西布倫中也有人自卑，來到耶路撒冷。Nevertheless, some from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

¹²神也感動猶大人，使他們一心遵行王與眾首領憑耶和華之言所發的命令。Moreover, the power of God was on the people in Judah to give them one heart to obey the command of the king and his officials according to the word of the LORD.

除去祭壇，守逾越節

¹³二月，有許多人在耶路撒冷聚集，成為大會，要守除酵節。In the second month, a very great assembly gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

¹⁴他們起來，把耶路撒冷的祭壇和燒香的壇盡都除去，拋在汲淪溪中。They proceeded to remove the altars in Jerusalem and to take away the incense altars and throw them into the Kidron Valley.

¹⁵二月十四日，宰了逾越節的羊羔。祭司與利未人覺得慚愧，就潔淨自己，把燔祭奉到耶和華殿中，And on the fourteenth day of the second month they slaughtered the Passover lamb. The priests and Levites were ashamed, and they consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings to the house of the LORD.

¹⁶遵著神人摩西的律法，照例站在自己的地方；祭司從利未人手裡接過血來，灑在壇上。They stood at their prescribed posts, according to the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests splattered the blood, which they received from the hand of the Levites.

¹⁷會中有許多人尚未自潔，所以利未人為一切不潔之人宰逾越節的羊羔，使他們在耶和華面前成為聖潔。Since there were many in the assembly who had not consecrated themselves, the Levites were in charge of slaughtering the Passover lambs for every unclean person to consecrate the lambs to the LORD.

希西家為不潔的人禱告

^18–19以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫有許多人尚未自潔，他們卻也吃逾越節的羊羔，不合所記錄的定例。希西家為他們禱告說：「凡專心尋求　神，就是耶和華─他列祖之　神的，雖不照著聖所潔淨之禮自潔，求至善的耶和華也饒恕他。」A large number of the people—many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun—had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah interceded for them, saying, “May the LORD, who is good, provide atonement for everyone who sets his heart on seeking God—the LORD, the God of his fathers—even if he is not cleansed according to the purification rules of the sanctuary.”

²⁰耶和華垂聽希西家的禱告，就饒恕（原文是醫治）百姓。And the LORD heard Hezekiah and healed the people.

再守節七日，大有喜樂

²¹在耶路撒冷的以色列人大大喜樂，守除酵節七日。利未人和祭司用響亮的樂器，日日頌讚耶和華。The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great joy, and the Levites and priests praised the LORD day after day, accompanied by loud instruments of praise to the LORD.

²²希西家慰勞一切善於事奉耶和華的利未人。於是眾人吃節筵七日，又獻平安祭，且向耶和華─他們列祖的　神認罪。And Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites who performed skillfully before the LORD. For seven days they ate their assigned portion, sacrificing peace offerings and giving thanks to the LORD, the God of their fathers.

²³全會眾商議，要再守節七日；於是歡歡喜喜地又守節七日。The whole assembly agreed to observe seven more days, so they observed seven days with joy.

²⁴猶大王希西家賜給會眾公牛一千隻，羊七千隻為祭物；眾首領也賜給會眾公牛一千隻，羊一萬隻，並有許多的祭司潔淨自己。For Hezekiah king of Judah contributed a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep for the assembly, and the officials contributed a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep for the assembly, and a great number of priests consecrated themselves.

²⁵猶大全會眾、祭司、利未人，並那從以色列地來的會眾和寄居的人，以及猶大寄居的人，盡都喜樂。Then the whole assembly of Judah rejoiced along with the priests and Levites and the whole assembly that had come from Israel, including the foreigners who had come from Israel and those who lived in Judah.

²⁶這樣，在耶路撒冷大有喜樂，自從以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的時候，在耶路撒冷沒有這樣的喜樂。So there was great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for nothing like this had happened there since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel.

²⁷那時，祭司、利未人起來，為民祝福。他們的聲音蒙　神垂聽，他們的禱告達到天上的聖所。Then the priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard their voice, and their prayer came into His holy dwelling place in heaven.

拆毀邱壇

¹這事既都完畢，在那裡的以色列眾人就到猶大的城邑，打碎柱像，砍斷木偶，又在猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、瑪拿西遍地將邱壇和祭壇拆毀淨盡。於是以色列眾人各回各城，各歸各地。When all this had ended, the Israelites in attendance went out to the cities of Judah and broke up the sacred pillars, chopped down the Asherah poles, and tore down the high places and altars throughout Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the Israelites returned to their cities, each to his own property.

奉割禮的門徒和彼得爭辯

¹使徒和在猶太的眾弟兄聽說外邦人也領受了　神的道。The apostles and brothers throughout Judea soon heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

²及至彼得上了耶路撒冷，那些奉割禮的門徒和他爭辯說：So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers took issue with him

³「你進入未受割禮之人的家和他們一同吃飯了。」and said, “You visited uncircumcised men and ate with them.”

彼得挨次述說異象

⁴彼得就開口把這事挨次給他們講解說：But Peter began and explained to them the whole sequence of events:

⁵「我在約帕城裡禱告的時候，魂遊象外，看見異象，有一物降下，好像一塊大布，繫著四角，從天縋下，直來到我跟前。“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision of something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came right down to me.

⁶我定睛觀看，見內中有地上四足的牲畜和野獸、昆蟲，並天上的飛鳥。I looked at it closely and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.

⁷我且聽見有聲音向我說：『彼得，起來，宰了吃！』Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter, kill and eat.’

⁸我說：『主啊，這是不可的！凡俗而不潔淨的物從來沒有入過我的口。』‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

⁹第二次，有聲音從天上說：『神所潔淨的，你不可當作俗物。』But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’

¹⁰這樣一連三次，就都收回天上去了。This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.

聖靈吩咐同去

¹¹正當那時，有三個人站在我們所住的房門前，是從凱撒利亞差來見我的。Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.

¹²聖靈吩咐我和他們同去，不要疑惑（或譯：不要分別等類）。同著我去的，還有這六位弟兄，我們都進了那人的家。The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.

¹³那人就告訴我們，他如何看見一位天使站在他屋裡，說：『你打發人往約帕去，請那稱呼彼得的西門來，He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.

¹⁴他有話告訴你，可以叫你和你的全家得救。』He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’

聖靈降在外邦人身上

¹⁵我一開講，聖靈便降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.

¹⁶我就想起主的話說：『約翰是用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗。』Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

¹⁷神既然給他們恩賜，像在我們信主耶穌基督的時候給了我們一樣；我是誰，能攔阻　神呢？」So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder the work of God?”

神也賜恩給外邦人

¹⁸眾人聽見這話，就不言語了，只歸榮耀與　神，說：「這樣看來，　神也賜恩給外邦人，叫他們悔改得生命了。」When they heard this, they had no further objections, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”
