神是信實的，守約施慈愛

⁹所以，你要知道耶和華─你的　神，他是　神，是信實的　神；向愛他、守他誡命的人守約，施慈愛，直到千代；Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His covenant of loving devotion for a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.

¹⁰向恨他的人當面報應他們，將他們滅絕。凡恨他的人必報應他們，決不遲延。But those who hate Him He repays to their faces with destruction; He will not hesitate to repay to his face the one who hates Him.

¹¹所以，你要謹守遵行我今日所吩咐你的誡命、律例、典章。」So keep the commandments and statutes and ordinances that I am giving you to follow this day.

聽從就必蒙福

¹²「你們果然聽從這些典章，謹守遵行，耶和華─你　神就必照他向你列祖所起的誓守約，施慈愛。If you listen to these ordinances and keep them carefully, then the LORD your God will keep His covenant and the loving devotion that He swore to your fathers.

¹³他必愛你，賜福與你，使你人數增多，也必在他向你列祖起誓應許給你的地上賜福與你身所生的，地所產的，並你的五穀、新酒，和油，以及牛犢、羊羔。He will love you and bless you and multiply you. He will bless the fruit of your womb and the produce of your land—your grain, new wine, and oil, the young of your herds and the lambs of your flocks—in the land that He swore to your fathers to give you.

¹⁴你必蒙福勝過萬民；你們的男女沒有不能生養的，牲畜也沒有不能生育的。You will be blessed above all peoples; among you there will be no barren man or woman or livestock.

¹⁵耶和華必使一切的病症離開你；你所知道埃及各樣的惡疾，他不加在你身上，只加在一切恨你的人身上。And the LORD will remove from you all sickness. He will not lay upon you any of the terrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but He will inflict them on all who hate you.

¹⁶耶和華─你　神所要交給你的一切人民，你要將他們除滅；你眼不可顧惜他們。你也不可事奉他們的　神，因這必成為你的網羅。You must destroy all the peoples the LORD your God will deliver to you. Do not look on them with pity. Do not worship their gods, for that will be a snare to you.

不要懼怕列國

¹⁷「你若心裡說，這些國的民比我更多，我怎能趕出他們呢？You may say in your heart, “These nations are greater than we are; how can we drive them out?”

¹⁸你不要懼怕他們，要牢牢記念耶和華─你　神向法老和埃及全地所行的事，But do not be afraid of them. Be sure to remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt:

¹⁹就是你親眼所看見的大試驗、神蹟、奇事，和大能的手，並伸出來的膀臂，都是耶和華─你　神領你出來所用的。耶和華─你　神必照樣待你所懼怕的一切人民。the great trials that you saw, the signs and wonders, and the mighty hand and outstretched arm by which the LORD your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.

²⁰並且耶和華─你　神必打發黃蜂飛到他們中間，直到那剩下而藏躲的人從你面前滅亡。Moreover, the LORD your God will send the hornet against them until even the survivors hiding from you have perished.

²¹你不要因他們驚恐，因為耶和華─你　神在你們中間是大而可畏的　神。Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.

²²耶和華─你　神必將這些國的民從你面前漸漸趕出；你不可把他們速速滅盡，恐怕野地的獸多起來害你。The LORD your God will drive out these nations before you little by little. You will not be enabled to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals would multiply around you.

²³耶和華─你　神必將他們交給你，大大地擾亂他們，直到他們滅絕了；But the LORD your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion, until they are destroyed.

²⁴又要將他們的君王交在你手中，你就使他們的名從天下消滅。必無一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你將他們滅絕了。He will hand their kings over to you, and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand against you; you will annihilate them.

²⁵他們雕刻的神像，你們要用火焚燒；其上的金銀，你不可貪圖，也不可收取，免得你因此陷入網羅；這原是耶和華─你　神所憎惡的。You must burn up the images of their gods; do not covet the silver and gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it; for it is detestable to the LORD your God.

²⁶可憎的物，你不可帶進家去；不然，你就成了當毀滅的，與那物一樣。你要十分厭惡，十分憎嫌，因為這是當毀滅的物。」And you must not bring any detestable thing into your house, or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. You are to utterly detest and abhor it, because it is set apart for destruction.

曠野四十年的苦煉

¹「我今日所吩咐的一切誡命，你們要謹守遵行，好叫你們存活，人數增多，且進去得耶和華向你們列祖起誓應許的那地。You must carefully follow every commandment I am giving you today, so that you may live and multiply, and enter and possess the land that the LORD swore to give your fathers.

²你也要記念耶和華─你的　神在曠野引導你這四十年，是要苦煉你，試驗你，要知道你心內如何，肯守他的誡命不肯。Remember that these forty years the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commandments.

³他苦煉你，任你飢餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道，人活著不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裡所出的一切話。He humbled you, and in your hunger He gave you manna to eat, which neither you nor your fathers had known, so that you might understand that man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

⁴這四十年，你的衣服沒有穿破，你的腳也沒有腫。Your clothing did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

⁵你當心裡思想，耶和華─你　神管教你，好像人管教兒子一樣。So know in your heart that just as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

⁶你要謹守耶和華─你　神的誡命，遵行他的道，敬畏他。Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, walking in His ways and fearing Him.

神領你進入美地

⁷因為耶和華─你　神領你進入美地，那地有河，有泉，有源，從山谷中流出水來。For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks and fountains and springs that flow through the valleys and hills;

⁸那地有小麥、大麥、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、橄欖樹，和蜜。a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey;

⁹你在那地不缺食物，一無所缺。那地的石頭是鐵，山內可以挖銅。a land where you will eat food without scarcity, where you will lack nothing; a land whose rocks are iron and whose hills are ready to be mined for copper.

¹⁰你吃得飽足，就要稱頌耶和華─你的　神，因他將那美地賜給你了。」When you eat and are satisfied, you are to bless the LORD your God for the good land that He has given you.

吃飽了，不可心高氣傲

¹¹「你要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華─你的　神，不守他的誡命、典章、律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的；Be careful not to forget the LORD your God by failing to keep His commandments and ordinances and statutes, which I am giving you this day.

¹²恐怕你吃得飽足，建造美好的房屋居住，Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses in which to dwell,

¹³你的牛羊加多，你的金銀增添，並你所有的全都加增，and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all that you have is multiplied,

¹⁴你就心高氣傲，忘記耶和華─你的　神，就是將你從埃及地為奴之家領出來的，then your heart will become proud, and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

¹⁵引你經過那大而可怕的曠野，那裡有火蛇、蠍子、乾旱無水之地。他曾為你使水從堅硬的磐石中流出來，He led you through the vast and terrifying wilderness with its venomous snakes and scorpions, a thirsty and waterless land. He brought you water from the rock of flint.

¹⁶又在曠野將你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，是要苦煉你，試驗你，叫你終久享福；He fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers had not known, in order to humble you and test you, so that in the end He might cause you to prosper.

¹⁷恐怕你心裡說：『這貨財是我力量、我能力得來的。』You might say in your heart, “The power and strength of my hands have made this wealth for me.”

¹⁸你要記念耶和華─你的　神，因為得貨財的力量是他給你的，為要堅定他向你列祖起誓所立的約，像今日一樣。But remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers even to this day.

¹⁹你若忘記耶和華─你的　神，隨從別神，事奉敬拜，你們必定滅亡；這是我今日警戒你們的。If you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods to worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish.

²⁰耶和華在你們面前怎樣使列國的民滅亡，你們也必照樣滅亡，因為你們不聽從耶和華─你們　神的話。」Like the nations that the LORD has destroyed before you, so you will perish if you do not obey the LORD your God.

得地不是因為你的義

¹「以色列啊，你當聽！你今日要過約旦河，進去趕出比你強大的國民，得著廣大堅固、高得頂天的城邑。Hear, O Israel: Today you are about to cross the Jordan to go in and dispossess nations greater and stronger than you, with large cities fortified to the heavens.

²那民是亞衲族的人，又大又高，是你所知道的；也曾聽見有人指著他們說：『誰能在亞衲族人面前站立得住呢？』The people are strong and tall, the descendants of the Anakim. You know about them, and you have heard it said, “Who can stand up to the sons of Anak?”

³你今日當知道，耶和華─你的　神在你前面過去，如同烈火，要滅絕他們，將他們制伏在你面前。這樣，你就要照耶和華所說的趕出他們，使他們速速滅亡。But understand that today the LORD your God goes across ahead of you as a consuming fire; He will destroy them and subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them swiftly, as the LORD has promised you.

⁴「耶和華─你的　神將這些國民從你面前攆出以後，你心裡不可說：『耶和華將我領進來得這地是因我的義。』其實，耶和華將他們從你面前趕出去是因他們的惡。When the LORD your God has driven them out before you, do not say in your heart, “Because of my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land.” Rather, the LORD is driving out these nations before you because of their wickedness.

⁵你進去得他們的地，並不是因你的義，也不是因你心裡正直，乃是因這些國民的惡，耶和華─你的　神將他們從你面前趕出去，又因耶和華要堅定他向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓所應許的話。It is not because of your righteousness or uprightness of heart that you are going in to possess their land, but it is because of their wickedness that the LORD your God is driving out these nations before you, to keep the promise He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

⁶「你當知道，耶和華─你　神將這美地賜你為業，並不是因你的義；你本是硬著頸項的百姓。Understand, then, that it is not because of your righteousness that the LORD your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people.

何烈山的金牛犢

⁷你當記念不忘，你在曠野怎樣惹耶和華─你　神發怒。自從你出了埃及地的那日，直到你們來到這地方，你們時常悖逆耶和華。Remember this, and never forget how you provoked the LORD your God in the wilderness. From the day you left the land of Egypt until you reached this place, you have been rebelling against the LORD.

⁸你們在何烈山又惹耶和華發怒；他惱怒你們，要滅絕你們。At Horeb you provoked the LORD, and He was angry enough to destroy you.

⁹我上了山，要領受兩塊石版，就是耶和華與你們立約的版。那時我在山上住了四十晝夜，沒有吃飯，也沒有喝水。When I went up on the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant that the LORD made with you, I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I ate no bread and drank no water.

¹⁰耶和華把那兩塊石版交給我，是　神用指頭寫的。版上所寫的是照耶和華在大會的日子、在山上、從火中對你們所說的一切話。Then the LORD gave me the two stone tablets, inscribed by the finger of God with the exact words that the LORD spoke to you out of the fire on the mountain on the day of the assembly.

¹¹過了四十晝夜，耶和華把那兩塊石版，就是約版，交給我。And at the end of forty days and forty nights, the LORD gave me the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant.

¹²對我說：『你起來，趕快下去！因為你從埃及領出來的百姓已經敗壞了自己；他們快快地偏離了我所吩咐的道，為自己鑄成了偶像。』And the LORD said to me, “Get up and go down from here at once, for your people, whom you brought out of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. How quickly they have turned aside from the way that I commanded them! They have made for themselves a molten image.”

¹³「耶和華又對我說：『我看這百姓是硬著頸項的百姓。The LORD also said to me, “I have seen this people, and they are indeed a stiff-necked people.

¹⁴你且由著我，我要滅絕他們，將他們的名從天下塗抹，使你的後裔比他們成為更大更強的國。』Leave Me alone, so that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven. Then I will make you into a nation mightier and greater than they are.”

¹⁵於是我轉身下山，山被火燒著，兩塊約版在我兩手之中。So I went back down the mountain while it was blazing with fire, with the two tablets of the covenant in my hands.

¹⁶我一看見你們得罪了耶和華─你們的　神，鑄成了牛犢，快快地偏離了耶和華所吩咐你們的道，And I saw how you had sinned against the LORD your God; you had made for yourselves a molten calf. You had turned aside quickly from the way that the LORD had commanded you.

¹⁷我就把那兩塊版從我手中扔下去，在你們眼前摔碎了。So I took the two tablets and threw them out of my hands, shattering them before your eyes.

¹⁸因你們所犯的一切罪，行了耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒，我就像從前俯伏在耶和華面前四十晝夜，沒有吃飯，也沒有喝水。Then I fell down before the LORD for forty days and forty nights, as I had done the first time. I did not eat bread or drink water because of all the sin you had committed in doing what was evil in the sight of the LORD and provoking Him to anger.

¹⁹我因耶和華向你們大發烈怒，要滅絕你們，就甚害怕；但那次耶和華又應允了我。For I was afraid of the anger and wrath that the LORD had directed against you, enough to destroy you. But the LORD listened to me this time as well.

²⁰耶和華也向亞倫甚是發怒，要滅絕他；那時我又為亞倫祈禱。The LORD was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him, but at that time I also prayed for Aaron.

²¹我把那叫你們犯罪所鑄的牛犢用火焚燒，又搗碎磨得很細，以致細如灰塵，我就把這灰塵撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。And I took that sinful thing, the calf you had made, and burned it in the fire. Then I crushed it and ground it to powder as fine as dust, and I cast it into the stream that came down from the mountain.

一再惹神發怒

²²「你們在他備拉、瑪撒、基博羅‧哈他瓦又惹耶和華發怒。You continued to provoke the LORD at Taberah, at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah.

²³耶和華打發你們離開加低斯‧巴尼亞，說：『你們上去得我所賜給你們的地。』那時你們違背了耶和華─你們　神的命令，不信服他，不聽從他的話。And when the LORD sent you out from Kadesh-barnea, He said, “Go up and possess the land that I have given you.” But you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God. You neither believed Him nor obeyed Him.

²⁴自從我認識你們以來，你們常常悖逆耶和華。You have been rebelling against the LORD since the day I came to know you.

摩西俯伏代求

²⁵「我因耶和華說要滅絕你們，就在耶和華面前照舊俯伏四十晝夜。So I fell down before the LORD for forty days and forty nights, because the LORD had said He would destroy you.

²⁶我祈禱耶和華說：『主耶和華啊，求你不要滅絕你的百姓。他們是你的產業，是你用大力救贖的，用大能從埃及領出來的。And I prayed to the LORD and said, “O Lord GOD, do not destroy Your people, Your inheritance, whom You redeemed through Your greatness and brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

²⁷求你記念你的僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各，不要想念這百姓的頑梗、邪惡、罪過，Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Overlook the stubbornness of this people and the wickedness of their sin.

²⁸免得你領我們出來的那地之人說，耶和華因為不能將這百姓領進他所應許之地，又因恨他們，所以領他們出去，要在曠野殺他們。Otherwise, those in the land from which You brought us out will say, ‘Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land He had promised them, and because He hated them, He has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.’

²⁹其實他們是你的百姓，你的產業，是你用大能和伸出來的膀臂領出來的。』」But they are Your people, Your inheritance, whom You brought out by Your great power and outstretched arm.”

重新鑿出兩塊石版

¹「那時，耶和華吩咐我說：『你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，上山到我這裡來，又要做一木櫃。At that time the LORD said to me, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the originals, come up to Me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood.

²你先前摔碎的那版，其上的字我要寫在這版上；你要將這版放在櫃中。』And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; and you are to place them in the ark.”

³於是我用皂莢木做了一櫃，又鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，手裡拿這兩塊版上山去了。So I made an ark of acacia wood, chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals, and went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hands.

⁴耶和華將那大會之日、在山上從火中所傳與你們的十條誡，照先前所寫的，寫在這版上，將版交給我了。And the LORD wrote on the tablets what had been written previously, the Ten Commandments that He had spoken to you on the mountain out of the fire on the day of the assembly. The LORD gave them to me,

⁵我轉身下山，將這版放在我所做的櫃中，現今還在那裡，正如耶和華所吩咐我的。」and I went back down the mountain and placed the tablets in the ark I had made, as the LORD had commanded me; and there they have remained.

亞倫去世，利未人的職分

⁶（以色列人從比羅比尼‧亞干（或譯：亞干井）起行，到了摩西拉。亞倫死在那裡，就葬在那裡。他兒子以利亞撒接續他供祭司的職分。The Israelites traveled from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah, where Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him as priest.

⁷他們從那裡起行，到了谷歌大，又從谷歌大到了有溪水之地的約巴他。From there they traveled to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land with streams of water.

⁸那時，耶和華將利未支派分別出來，抬耶和華的約櫃，又侍立在耶和華面前事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到今日。At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to serve Him, and to pronounce blessings in His name, as they do to this day.

⁹所以利未人在他弟兄中無分無業，耶和華是他的產業，正如耶和華─你　神所應許他的。）That is why Levi has no portion or inheritance among his brothers; the LORD is his inheritance, as the LORD your God promised him.

神應允摩西，吩咐他領百姓前行

¹⁰「我又像從前在山上住了四十晝夜。那次耶和華也應允我，不忍將你滅絕。I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, like the first time, and that time the LORD again listened to me and agreed not to destroy you.

¹¹耶和華吩咐我說：『你起來引導這百姓，使他們進去得我向他們列祖起誓應許所賜之地。』」Then the LORD said to me, “Get up. Continue your journey ahead of the people, that they may enter and possess the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.”

天使向馬利亞報信

²⁶到了第六個月，天使加百列奉　神的差遣往加利利的一座城去（這城名叫拿撒勒），In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to a town in Galilee called Nazareth,

²⁷到一個童女那裡，是已經許配大衛家的一個人，名叫約瑟。童女的名字叫馬利亞；to a virgin pledged in marriage to a man named Joseph, who was of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary.

²⁸天使進去，對她說：「蒙大恩的女子，我問你安，主和你同在了！」The angel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

²⁹馬利亞因這話就很驚慌，又反覆思想這樣問安是甚麼意思。Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.

³⁰天使對她說：「馬利亞，不要怕！你在　神面前已經蒙恩了。So the angel told her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

³¹你要懷孕生子，可以給他起名叫耶穌。Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus.

³²他要為大，稱為至高者的兒子；主　神要把他祖大衛的位給他。He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,

³³他要作雅各家的王，直到永遠；他的國也沒有窮盡。」and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end!”

聖靈要臨到你身上

³⁴馬利亞對天使說：「我沒有出嫁，怎麼有這事呢？」“How can this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

³⁵天使回答說：「聖靈要臨到你身上，至高者的能力要蔭庇你，因此所要生的聖者必稱為　神的兒子（或譯：所要生的，必稱為聖，稱為　神的兒子）。The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.

³⁶況且你的親戚伊利莎白，在年老的時候也懷了男胎，就是那素來稱為不生育的，現在有孕六個月了。Look, even Elizabeth your relative has conceived a son in her old age, and she who was called barren is in her sixth month.

³⁷因為，出於　神的話，沒有一句不帶能力的。」For no word from God will ever fail.”

³⁸馬利亞說：「我是主的使女，情願照你的話成就在我身上。」天使就離開她去了。“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it happen to me according to your word.” Then the angel left her.

馬利亞探望伊利莎白

³⁹那時候，馬利亞起身，急忙往山地裡去，來到猶大的一座城；In those days Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judah,

⁴⁰進了撒迦利亞的家，問伊利莎白安。where she entered the home of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.

⁴¹伊利莎白一聽馬利亞問安，所懷的胎就在腹裡跳動。伊利莎白且被聖靈充滿，When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

⁴²高聲喊著說：「你在婦女中是有福的！你所懷的胎也是有福的！In a loud voice she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

⁴³我主的母到我這裡來，這是從哪裡得的呢？And why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

⁴⁴因為你問安的聲音一入我耳，我腹裡的胎就歡喜跳動。For as soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

⁴⁵這相信的女子是有福的！因為主對她所說的話都要應驗。」Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord’s word to her will be fulfilled.”

馬利亞讚美神

⁴⁶馬利亞說：我心尊主為大；Then Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,

⁴⁷我靈以　神我的救主為樂；and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!

⁴⁸因為他顧念他使女的卑微；從今以後，萬代要稱我有福。For He has looked with favor on the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed.

⁴⁹那有權能的，為我成就了大事；他的名為聖。For the Mighty One has done great things for me. Holy is His name.

⁵⁰他憐憫敬畏他的人，直到世世代代。His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation.

神叫卑賤的升高

⁵¹他用膀臂施展大能；那狂傲的人正心裡妄想就被他趕散了。He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts.

⁵²他叫有權柄的失位，叫卑賤的升高；He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has exalted the humble.

⁵³叫飢餓的得飽美食，叫富足的空手回去。He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty.

⁵⁴他扶助了他的僕人以色列，He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful,

⁵⁵為要記念亞伯拉罕和他的後裔，施憐憫直到永遠，正如從前對我們列祖所說的話。as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever.”
