雅各為眾子說預言

¹雅各叫了他的兒子們來，說：「你們都來聚集，我好把你們日後必遇的事告訴你們。Then Jacob called for his sons and said, “Gather around so that I can tell you what will happen to you in the days to come:

²雅各的兒子們，你們要聚集而聽，要聽你們父親以色列的話。Come together and listen, O sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.

流便

³流便哪，你是我的長子，是我力量強壯的時候生的，本當大有尊榮，權力超眾。Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.

⁴但你放縱情慾，滾沸如水，必不得居首位；因為你上了你父親的床，污穢了我的榻。Uncontrolled as the waters, you will no longer excel, because you went up to your father’s bed, onto my couch, and defiled it.

西緬和利未

⁵西緬和利未是弟兄；他們的刀劍是殘忍的器具。Simeon and Levi are brothers; their swords are weapons of violence.

⁶我的靈啊，不要與他們同謀；我的心哪，不要與他們聯絡；因為他們趁怒殺害人命，任意砍斷牛腿大筋。May I never enter their council; may I never join their assembly. For they kill men in their anger, and hamstring oxen on a whim.

⁷他們的怒氣暴烈可咒；他們的忿恨殘忍可詛。我要使他們分居在雅各家裡，散住在以色列地中。Cursed be their anger, for it is strong, and their wrath, for it is cruel! I will disperse them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel.

猶大

⁸猶大啊，你弟兄們必讚美你；你手必掐住仇敵的頸項；你父親的兒子們必向你下拜。Judah, your brothers shall praise you. Your hand shall be on the necks of your enemies; your father’s sons shall bow down to you.

⁹猶大是個小獅子；我兒啊，你抓了食便上去。你屈下身去，臥如公獅，蹲如母獅，誰敢惹你？Judah is a young lion—my son, you return from the prey. Like a lion he crouches and lies down; like a lioness, who dares to rouse him?

¹⁰圭必不離猶大，杖必不離他兩腳之間，直等細羅來到，萬民都必歸順。The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes and the allegiance of the nations is his.

¹¹猶大把小驢拴在葡萄樹上，把驢駒拴在美好的葡萄樹上。他在葡萄酒中洗了衣服，在葡萄汁中洗了袍褂。He ties his donkey to the vine, his colt to the choicest branch. He washes his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.

¹²他的眼睛必因酒紅潤；他的牙齒必因奶白亮。His eyes are darker than wine, and his teeth are whiter than milk.

西布倫、以薩迦

¹³西布倫必住在海口，必成為停船的海口；他的境界必延到西頓。Zebulun shall dwell by the seashore and become a harbor for ships; his border shall extend to Sidon.

¹⁴以薩迦是個強壯的驢，臥在羊圈之中。Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the sheepfolds.

¹⁵他以安靜為佳，以肥地為美，便低肩背重，成為服苦的僕人。He saw that his resting place was good and that his land was pleasant, so he bent his shoulder to the burden and submitted to labor as a servant.

但、迦得、亞設、拿弗他利

¹⁶但必判斷他的民，作以色列支派之一。Dan shall provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel.

¹⁷但必作道上的蛇，路中的虺，咬傷馬蹄，使騎馬的墜落於後。He will be a snake by the road, a viper in the path that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.

¹⁸耶和華啊，我向來等候你的救恩。I await Your salvation, O LORD.

¹⁹迦得必被敵軍追逼，他卻要追逼他們的腳跟。Gad will be attacked by raiders, but he will attack their heels.

²⁰亞設之地必出肥美的糧食，且出君王的美味。Asher’s food will be rich; he shall provide royal delicacies.

²¹拿弗他利是被釋放的母鹿；他出嘉美的言語。Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.

約瑟

²²約瑟是多結果子的樹枝，是泉旁多結果的枝子；他的枝條探出牆外。Joseph is a fruitful vine—a fruitful vine by a spring, whose branches scale the wall.

²³弓箭手將他苦害，向他射箭，逼迫他。The archers attacked him with bitterness; they aimed at him in hostility.

²⁴但他的弓仍舊堅硬；他的手健壯敏捷。這是因以色列的牧者，以色列的磐石─就是雅各的大能者。Yet he steadied his bow, and his strong arms were tempered by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, in the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

²⁵你父親的　神必幫助你；那全能者必將天上所有的福，地裡所藏的福，以及生產乳養的福，都賜給你。by the God of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blesses you, with blessings of the heavens above, with blessings of the depths below, with blessings of the breasts and womb.

²⁶你父親所祝的福勝過我祖先所祝的福如永世的山嶺，至極的邊界；這些福必降在約瑟的頭上，臨到那與弟兄迥別之人的頂上。The blessings of your father have surpassed the blessings of the ancient mountains and the bounty of the everlasting hills. May they rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince of his brothers.

便雅憫

²⁷便雅憫是個撕掠的狼，早晨要吃他所抓的，晚上要分他所奪的。」Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.”

²⁸這一切是以色列的十二支派；這也是他們的父親對他們所說的話，為他們所祝的福，都是按著各人的福分為他們祝福。These are the tribes of Israel, twelve in all, and this was what their father said to them. He blessed them, and he blessed each one with a suitable blessing.

雅各吩咐葬在麥比拉洞

²⁹他又囑咐他們說：「我將要歸到我列祖那裡，你們要將我葬在赫人以弗崙田間的洞裡，與我祖我父在一處，Then Jacob instructed them, “I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite.

³⁰就是在迦南地幔利前、麥比拉田間的洞；那洞和田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來為業，作墳地的。The cave is in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, in the land of Canaan. This is the field Abraham purchased from Ephron the Hittite as a burial site.

³¹他們在那裡葬了亞伯拉罕和他妻撒拉，又在那裡葬了以撒和他的妻子利百加；我也在那裡葬了利亞。There Abraham and his wife Sarah are buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah are buried, and there I buried Leah.

³²那塊田和田間的洞原是向赫人買的。」The field and the cave that is in it were purchased from the Hittites.”

雅各去世

³³雅各囑咐眾子已畢，就把腳收在床上，氣絕而死，歸他列祖那裡去了。When Jacob had finished instructing his sons, he pulled his feet into the bed and breathed his last, and he was gathered to his people.

埃及人為雅各哀哭

¹約瑟伏在他父親的面上哀哭，與他親嘴。Then Joseph fell upon his father’s face, wept over him, and kissed him.

²約瑟吩咐伺候他的醫生用香料薰他父親，醫生就用香料薰了以色列。And Joseph directed the physicians in his service to embalm his father Israel. So they embalmed him,

³薰屍的常例是四十天；那四十天滿了，埃及人為他哀哭了七十天。taking the forty days required to complete the embalming. And the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.

約瑟求法老准他上去葬父

⁴為他哀哭的日子過了，約瑟對法老家中的人說：「我若在你們眼前蒙恩，請你們報告法老說：『When the days of mourning had passed, Joseph said to Pharaoh’s court, “If I have found favor in your eyes, please tell Pharaoh that

⁵我父親要死的時候叫我起誓說：你要將我葬在迦南地，在我為自己所掘的墳墓裡。』現在求你讓我上去葬我父親，以後我必回來。」my father made me swear an oath when he said, ‘I am about to die. You must bury me in the tomb that I dug for myself in the land of Canaan.’ Now let me go and bury my father, and then return.”

⁶法老說：「你可以上去，照著你父親叫你起的誓，將他葬埋。」Pharaoh replied, “Go up and bury your father, as he made you swear to do.”

葬雅各在迦南

⁷於是約瑟上去葬他父親。與他一同上去的，有法老的臣僕和法老家中的長老，並埃及國的長老，Then Joseph went to bury his father, and all the servants of Pharaoh accompanied him—the elders of Pharaoh’s household and all the elders of the land of Egypt—

⁸還有約瑟的全家和他的弟兄們，並他父親的眷屬；只有他們的婦人孩子，和羊群牛群，都留在歌珊地。along with all of Joseph’s household, and his brothers, and his father’s household. Only their children and flocks and herds were left in Goshen.

⁹又有車輛馬兵，和他一同上去；那一幫人甚多。Chariots and horsemen alike went up with him, and it was an exceedingly large procession.

¹⁰他們到了約旦河外、亞達的禾場，就在那裡大大地號咷痛哭。約瑟為他父親哀哭了七天。When they reached the threshing floor of Atad, which is across the Jordan, they lamented and wailed loudly, and Joseph mourned for his father seven days.

¹¹迦南的居民見亞達禾場上的哀哭，就說：「這是埃及人一場極大的哀哭。」因此那地方名叫亞伯‧麥西，是在約旦河東。When the Canaanites of the land saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, “This is a solemn ceremony of mourning by the Egyptians.” Thus the place across the Jordan is called Abel-mizraim.

¹²雅各的兒子們就遵著他父親所吩咐的辦了，So Jacob’s sons did as he had charged them.

¹³把他搬到迦南地，葬在幔利前、麥比拉田間的洞裡；那洞和田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來為業，作墳地的。They carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave at Machpelah in the field near Mamre, which Abraham had purchased from Ephron the Hittite as a burial site.

¹⁴約瑟葬了他父親以後，就和眾弟兄，並一切同他上去葬他父親的人，都回埃及去了。After Joseph had buried his father, he returned to Egypt with his brothers and all who had gone with him to bury his father.

約瑟安慰哥哥們

¹⁵約瑟的哥哥們見父親死了，就說：「或者約瑟懷恨我們，照著我們從前待他一切的惡足足地報復我們。」When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph bears a grudge? Then he will surely repay us for all the evil that we did to him.”

¹⁶他們就打發人去見約瑟，說：「你父親未死以先吩咐說：『So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Before he died, your father commanded,

¹⁷你們要對約瑟這樣說：從前你哥哥們惡待你，求你饒恕他們的過犯和罪惡。』如今求你饒恕你父親　神之僕人的過犯。」他們對約瑟說這話，約瑟就哭了。‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I beg you, please forgive the transgression and sin of your brothers, for they did you wrong.’ So now, Joseph, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.

¹⁸他的哥哥們又來俯伏在他面前，說：「我們是你的僕人。」His brothers also came to him, bowed down before him, and said, “We are your slaves!”

¹⁹約瑟對他們說：「不要害怕，我豈能代替　神呢？But Joseph replied, “Do not be afraid. Am I in the place of God?

²⁰從前你們的意思是要害我，但　神的意思原是好的，要保全許多人的性命，成就今日的光景。As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people.

²¹現在你們不要害怕，我必養活你們和你們的婦人孩子。」於是約瑟用親愛的話安慰他們。Therefore do not be afraid. I will provide for you and your little ones.” So Joseph reassured his brothers and spoke kindly to them.

約瑟去世

²²約瑟和他父親的眷屬都住在埃及。約瑟活了一百一十歲。Now Joseph and his father’s household remained in Egypt, and Joseph lived to the age of 110.

²³約瑟得見以法蓮第三代的子孫。瑪拿西的孫子、瑪吉的兒子也養在約瑟的膝上。He saw Ephraim’s sons to the third generation, and indeed the sons of Machir son of Manasseh were brought up on Joseph’s knees.

²⁴約瑟對他弟兄們說：「我要死了，但　神必定看顧你們，領你們從這地上去，到他起誓所應許給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地。」Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but God will surely visit you and bring you up from this land to the land He promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

²⁵約瑟叫以色列的子孫起誓說：「　神必定看顧你們；你們要把我的骸骨從這裡搬上去。」And Joseph made the sons of Israel take an oath and said, “God will surely attend to you, and then you must carry my bones up from this place.”

²⁶約瑟死了，正一百一十歲。人用香料將他薰了，把他收殮在棺材裡，停在埃及。So Joseph died at the age of 110. And they embalmed his body and placed it in a coffin in Egypt.

耶穌在山上治好許多人

²⁹耶穌離開那地方，來到靠近加利利的海邊，就上山坐下。Moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountain and sat down.

³⁰有許多人到他那裡，帶著瘸子、瞎子、啞巴、有殘疾的，和好些別的病人，都放在他腳前；他就治好了他們。Large crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He healed them.

³¹甚至眾人都希奇；因為看見啞巴說話，殘疾的痊癒，瘸子行走，瞎子看見，他們就歸榮耀給以色列的　神。The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

七個餅餵飽四千人

³²耶穌叫門徒來，說：「我憐憫這眾人；因為他們同我在這裡已經三天，也沒有吃的了。我不願意叫他們餓著回去，恐怕在路上困乏。」Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”

³³門徒說：「我們在這野地，哪裡有這麼多的餅叫這許多人吃飽呢？」The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”

³⁴耶穌說：「你們有多少餅？」他們說：「有七個，還有幾條小魚。」“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”

³⁵他就吩咐眾人坐在地上，And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.

³⁶拿著這七個餅和幾條魚，祝謝了，擘開，遞給門徒；門徒又遞給眾人。Taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

³⁷眾人都吃，並且吃飽了，收拾剩下的零碎，裝滿了七個筐子。They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

³⁸吃的人，除了婦女孩子，共有四千。A total of four thousand men were fed, besides women and children.

來到馬加丹

³⁹耶穌叫眾人散去，就上船，來到馬加丹的境界。After Jesus had dismissed the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.

要求從天上來的神蹟

¹法利賽人和撒都該人來試探耶穌，請他從天上顯個神蹟給他們看。Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came and tested Jesus by asking Him to show them a sign from heaven.

²耶穌回答說：「晚上天發紅，你們就說：『天必要晴。』But He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘The weather will be fair, for the sky is red,’

³早晨天發紅，又發黑，你們就說：『今日必有風雨。』你們知道分辨天上的氣色，倒不能分辨這時候的神蹟。and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but not the signs of the times.

⁴一個邪惡淫亂的世代求神蹟，除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他看。」耶穌就離開他們去了。A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away.

防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵

⁵門徒渡到那邊去，忘了帶餅。When they crossed to the other side, the disciples forgot to take bread.

⁶耶穌對他們說：「你們要謹慎，防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵。」“Watch out!” Jesus told them. “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

⁷門徒彼此議論說：「這是因為我們沒有帶餅吧。」They discussed this among themselves and concluded, “It is because we did not bring any bread.”

⁸耶穌看出來，就說：「你們這小信的人，為甚麼因為沒有餅彼此議論呢？Aware of their conversation, Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you debating among yourselves about having no bread?

記得那兩次分餅嗎

⁹你們還不明白嗎？不記得那五個餅分給五千人、又收拾了多少籃子的零碎嗎？Do you still not understand? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?

¹⁰也不記得那七個餅分給四千人、又收拾了多少筐子的零碎嗎？Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?

¹¹我對你們說：『要防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵』，這話不是指著餅說的，你們怎麼不明白呢？」How do you not understand that I was not telling you about bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

¹²門徒這才曉得他說的不是叫他們防備餅的酵，乃是防備法利賽人和撒都該人的教訓。Then they understood that He was not telling them to beware of the leaven used in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
