巴比倫圍困耶路撒冷

¹猶大王西底家第九年十月，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領全軍來圍困耶路撒冷。In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire army and laid siege to the city.

城被攻破

²西底家十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。And on the ninth day of the fourth month of Zedekiah’s eleventh year, the city was breached.

³耶路撒冷被攻取的時候，巴比倫王的首領尼甲‧沙利薛、三甲‧尼波、撒西金─拉撒力、尼甲‧沙利薛─拉墨，並巴比倫王其餘的一切首領都來坐在中門。Then all the officials of the king of Babylon entered and sat in the Middle Gate: Nergal-sharezer of Samgar, Nebo-sarsekim the Rabsaris, Nergal-sharezer the Rabmag, and all the rest of the officials of the king of Babylon.

西底家逃跑被擒

⁴猶大王西底家和一切兵丁看見他們，就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門出城逃跑，往亞拉巴逃去。When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled. They left the city at night by way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls, and they went out along the route to the Arabah.

⁵迦勒底的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，將他拿住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒那裡；尼布甲尼撒就審判他。But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. They seized him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him.

⁶巴比倫王在利比拉、西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又殺了猶大的一切貴冑，There at Riblah the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also killed all the nobles of Judah.

⁷並且剜西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖著他，要帶到巴比倫去。Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze chains to take him to Babylon.

焚城擄民

⁸迦勒底人用火焚燒王宮和百姓的房屋，又拆毀耶路撒冷的城牆。The Chaldeans set fire to the palace of the king and to the houses of the people, and they broke down the walls of Jerusalem.

⁹那時，護衛長尼布撒拉旦將城裡所剩下的百姓和投降他的逃民，以及其餘的民都擄到巴比倫去了。Then Nebuzaradan captain of the guard carried away to Babylon the remnant of the people who had remained in the city, along with the deserters who had defected to him.

¹⁰護衛長尼布撒拉旦卻將民中毫無所有的窮人留在猶大地，當時給他們葡萄園和田地。But Nebuzaradan left behind in the land of Judah some of the poor people who had no property, and at that time he gave them vineyards and fields.

巴比倫王善待耶利米

¹¹巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒提到耶利米，囑咐護衛長尼布撒拉旦說：Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had given orders about Jeremiah through Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, saying,

¹²「你領他去，好好地看待他，切不可害他；他對你怎麼說，你就向他怎麼行。」“Take him, look after him, and do not let any harm come to him; do for him whatever he says.”

¹³護衛長尼布撒拉旦和尼布沙斯班─拉撒力、尼甲‧沙利薛─拉墨，並巴比倫王的一切官長，So Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, Nebushazban the Rabsaris, Nergal-sharezer the Rabmag, and all the captains of the king of Babylon

¹⁴打發人去，將耶利米從護衛兵院中提出來，交與沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，帶回家去。於是耶利米住在民中。had Jeremiah brought from the courtyard of the guard, and they turned him over to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him home. So Jeremiah remained among his own people.

以伯‧米勒必蒙拯救

¹⁵耶利米還囚在護衛兵院中的時候，耶和華的話臨到他說：And while Jeremiah had been confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the LORD had come to him:

¹⁶「你去告訴古實人以伯‧米勒說，萬軍之耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：我說降禍不降福的話必臨到這城，到那時必在你面前成就了。“Go and tell Ebed-melech the Cushite that this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I am about to fulfill My words against this city for harm and not for good, and on that day they will be fulfilled before your eyes.

¹⁷耶和華說：到那日我必拯救你，你必不致交在你所怕的人手中。But I will deliver you on that day, declares the LORD, and you will not be delivered into the hands of the men whom you fear.

¹⁸我定要搭救你，你不致倒在刀下，卻要以自己的命為掠物，因你倚靠我。這是耶和華說的。」For I will surely rescue you so that you do not fall by the sword. Because you have trusted in Me, you will escape with your life like a spoil of war, declares the LORD.’”

神藉兒子曉諭我們

¹神既在古時藉著眾先知多次多方地曉諭列祖，On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets.

²就在這末世藉著他兒子曉諭我們；又早已立他為承受萬有的，也曾藉著他創造諸世界。But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.

³他是　神榮耀所發的光輝，是　神本體的真像，常用他權能的命令托住萬有。他洗淨了人的罪，就坐在高天至大者的右邊。The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

兒子遠超過天使

⁴他所承受的名，既比天使的名更尊貴，就遠超過天使。So He became as far superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is excellent beyond theirs.

⁵所有的天使，　神從來對哪一個說：你是我的兒子，我今日生你？又指著哪一個說：我要作他的父，他要作我的子？For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father”? Or again: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son”?

⁶再者，　神使長子到世上來的時候（或譯：　神再使長子到世上來的時候），就說：　神的使者都要拜他。And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all God’s angels worship Him.”

天使是僕役，子坐寶座

⁷論到使者，又說：　神以風為使者，以火焰為僕役；Now about the angels He says: “He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire.”

⁸論到子卻說：　神啊，你的寶座是永永遠遠的；你的國權是正直的。But about the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom.

⁹你喜愛公義，恨惡罪惡；所以　神，就是你的　神，用喜樂油膏你，勝過膏你的同伴；You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You above Your companions with the oil of joy.”

子永不改變

¹⁰又說：主啊，你起初立了地的根基；天也是你手所造的。And: “In the beginning, O Lord, You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

¹¹天地都要滅沒，你卻要長存。天地都要像衣服漸漸舊了；They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment.

¹²你要將天地捲起來，像一件外衣，天地就都改變了。惟有你永不改變；你的年數沒有窮盡。You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed; but You remain the same, and Your years will never end.”

子坐在右邊，天使是服役的靈

¹³所有的天使，　神從來對哪一個說：你坐在我的右邊，等我使你仇敵作你的腳凳？Yet to which of the angels did God ever say: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”?

¹⁴天使豈不都是服役的靈、奉差遣為那將要承受救恩的人效力嗎？Are not the angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
