在希伯崙膏大衛作王

¹以色列眾人聚集到希伯崙見大衛，說：「我們原是你的骨肉。Then all Israel came together to David at Hebron and said, “Here we are, your own flesh and blood.

²從前掃羅作王的時候，率領以色列人出入的是你；耶和華─你的　神也曾應許你說：『你必牧養我的民以色列，作以色列的君。』」Even in times past, while Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them back. And the LORD your God said, ‘You will shepherd My people Israel, and you will be ruler over them.’”

³於是以色列的長老都來到希伯崙見大衛王。大衛在希伯崙耶和華面前與他們立約，他們就膏大衛作以色列的王，是照耶和華藉撒母耳所說的話。So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, where David made a covenant with them before the LORD. And they anointed him king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD through Samuel.

攻取錫安的保障

⁴大衛和以色列眾人到了耶路撒冷，就是耶布斯；那時耶布斯人住在那裡。Then David and all the Israelites marched to Jerusalem (that is, Jebus), where the Jebusites inhabited the land.

⁵耶布斯人對大衛說：「你決不能進這地方。」然而大衛攻取錫安的保障，就是大衛的城。The people of Jebus said to David, “You will never get in here.” Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion (that is, the City of David).

⁶大衛說：「誰先攻打耶布斯人，必作首領元帥。」洗魯雅的兒子約押先上去，就作了元帥。Now David had said, “Whoever is the first to strike down a Jebusite will become chief commander.” And Joab son of Zeruiah went up first, and he became the chief.

⁷大衛住在保障裡，所以那保障叫作大衛城。So David took up residence in the fortress; that is why it was called the City of David.

⁸大衛又從米羅起，四圍建築城牆，其餘的是約押修理。He built up the city around it, from the supporting terraces to the surrounding wall, while Joab restored the rest of the city.

⁹大衛日見強盛，因為萬軍之耶和華與他同在。And David became greater and greater, for the LORD of Hosts was with him.

大衛的勇士

¹⁰以下記錄跟隨大衛勇士的首領，就是奮勇幫助他得國、照著耶和華吩咐以色列人的話、與以色列人一同立他作王的。Now these were the chiefs of David’s mighty men, who, together with all Israel, bolstered and strengthened his kingdom, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

¹¹大衛勇士的數目記在下面：哈革摩尼的兒子雅朔班，他是軍長的統領，一時舉槍殺了三百人。This is the list of David’s mighty men: Jashobeam son of Hachmoni was chief of the officers; he wielded his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed at one time.

¹²其次是亞合人朵多的兒子以利亞撒，他是三個勇士裡的一個。Next in command was Eleazar son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men.

¹³他從前與大衛在巴斯‧達閔，非利士人聚集要打仗。那裡有一塊長滿大麥的田，眾民就在非利士人面前逃跑；He was with David at Pas-dammim when the Philistines gathered there for battle. At a place with a field full of barley, the troops fled from the Philistines.

¹⁴這勇士便站在那田間擊殺非利士人，救護了那田。耶和華使以色列人大獲全勝。But Eleazar and David stationed themselves in the middle of the field and defended it. They struck down the Philistines, and the LORD brought about a great victory.

冒死去打伯利恆井裡的水

¹⁵三十個勇士中的三個人下到磐石那裡，進了亞杜蘭洞見大衛；非利士的軍隊在利乏音谷安營。Three of the thirty chief men went down to David, to the rock at the cave of Adullam, while a company of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.

¹⁶那時大衛在山寨，非利士人的防營在伯利恆。At that time David was in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was at Bethlehem.

¹⁷大衛渴想，說：「甚願有人將伯利恆城門旁井裡的水打來給我喝！」David longed for water and said, “Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!”

¹⁸這三個勇士就闖過非利士人的營盤，從伯利恆城門旁的井裡打水，拿來奉給大衛。他卻不肯喝，將水奠在耶和華面前，So the Three broke through the Philistine camp, drew water from the well at the gate of Bethlehem, and brought it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out to the LORD,

¹⁹說：「我的　神啊，這三個人冒死去打水，這水好像他們的血一般，我斷不敢喝！」如此，大衛不肯喝。這是三個勇士所做的事。saying, “Far be it from me, my God, to do this! How can I drink the blood of these men who risked their lives?” Because they had brought it at the risk of their lives, David refused to drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty men.

亞比篩和比拿雅的事蹟

²⁰約押的兄弟亞比篩是這三個勇士的首領；他舉槍殺了三百人，就在三個勇士裡得了名。Now Abishai, the brother of Joab, was chief of the Three, and he wielded his spear against three hundred men, killed them, and won a name along with the Three.

²¹他在這三個勇士裡是最尊貴的，所以作他們的首領；只是不及前三個勇士。He was doubly honored above the Three, and he became their commander, even though he was not included among the Three.

²²有甲薛勇士耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅行過大能的事：他殺了摩押人亞利伊勒的兩個兒子，又在下雪的時候下坑裡去殺了一個獅子，And Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a man of valor from Kabzeel, a man of many exploits. He struck down two champions of Moab, and on a snowy day he went down into a pit and killed a lion.

²³又殺了一個埃及人。埃及人身高五肘，手裡拿著槍，槍桿粗如織布的機軸；比拿雅只拿著棍子下去，從埃及人手裡奪過槍來，用那槍將他刺死。He also struck down an Egyptian, a huge man five cubits tall. Although the Egyptian had a spear like a weaver’s beam in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club, snatched the spear from his hand, and killed the Egyptian with his own spear.

²⁴這是耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅所行的事，就在三個勇士裡得了名。These were the exploits of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, who won a name along with the three mighty men.

²⁵他比那三十個勇士都尊貴，只是不及前三個勇士。大衛立他作護衛長。He was most honored among the Thirty, but he did not become one of the Three. And David appointed him over his guard.

軍中的勇士名單

²⁶軍中的勇士有約押的兄弟亞撒黑，伯利恆人朵多的兒子伊勒哈難，Now these were the mighty men: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

²⁷哈律人沙瑪，比倫人希利斯，Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,

²⁸提哥亞人益吉的兒子以拉，亞拿突人亞比以謝，Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,

²⁹戶沙人西比該，亞合人以來，Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,

³⁰尼陀法人瑪哈萊，尼陀法人巴拿的兒子希立，Maharai the Netophathite, Heled son of Baanah the Netophathite,

在洗革拉投奔大衛的勇士

¹大衛因怕基士的兒子掃羅，躲在洗革拉的時候，有勇士到他那裡幫助他打仗。Now these were the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still banished from the presence of Saul son of Kish (they were among the mighty men who helped him in battle;

²他們善於拉弓，能用左右兩手甩石射箭，都是便雅憫人掃羅的族弟兄。they were archers using both the right and left hands to sling stones and shoot arrows; and they were Saul’s kinsmen from Benjamin):

³為首的是亞希以謝，其次是約阿施，都是基比亞人示瑪的兒子。還有亞斯瑪威的兒子耶薛和毘力，又有比拉迦，並亞拿突人耶戶，Ahiezer their chief and Joash, who were the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;

⁴基遍人以實買雅〈他在三十人中是勇士，管理他們〉，且有耶利米、雅哈悉、約哈難，和基得拉人約撒拔、Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the Thirty and a leader over the Thirty; Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite;

⁵伊利烏賽、耶利摩、比亞利雅、示瑪利雅，哈律弗人示法提雅，Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;

⁶可拉人以利加拿、耶西亞、亞薩列、約以謝、雅朔班，Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, who were Korahites;

⁷基多人耶羅罕的兒子猶拉和西巴第雅。and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham from Gedor.

迦得人投奔大衛

⁸迦得支派中有人到曠野的山寨投奔大衛，都是大能的勇士，能拿盾牌和槍的戰士。他們的面貌好像獅子，快跑如同山上的鹿。Some Gadites defected to David at his stronghold in the wilderness. They were mighty men of valor, trained for battle, experts with the shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions and who were as swift as gazelles on the mountains:

⁹第一以薛，第二俄巴底雅，第三以利押，Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second in command, Eliab the third,

¹⁰第四彌施瑪拿，第五耶利米，Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

¹¹第六亞太，第七以利業，Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

¹²第八約哈難，第九以利薩巴，Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

¹³第十耶利米，第十一末巴奈。Jeremiah the tenth, and Machbanai the eleventh.

¹⁴這都是迦得人中的軍長，至小的能抵一百人，至大的能抵一千人。These Gadites were army commanders, the least of whom was a match for a hundred, and the greatest for a thousand.

¹⁵正月，約旦河水漲過兩岸的時候，他們過河，使一切住平原的人東奔西逃。These are the ones who crossed the Jordan in the first month when it was overflowing all its banks, and they put to flight all those in the valleys, both to the east and to the west.

便雅憫和猶大人來投奔

¹⁶又有便雅憫和猶大人到山寨大衛那裡。Other Benjamites and some men from Judah also came to David in his stronghold.

¹⁷大衛出去迎接他們，對他們說：「你們若是和和平平地來幫助我，我心就與你們相契；你們若是將我這無罪的人賣在敵人手裡，願我們列祖的　神察看責罰。」And David went out to meet them, saying, “If you have come to me in peace to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free of violence, may the God of our fathers see it and judge you.”

¹⁸那時　神的靈感動那三十個勇士的首領亞瑪撒，他就說：大衛啊，我們是歸於你的！耶西的兒子啊，我們是幫助你的！願你平平安安，願幫助你的也都平安！因為你的　神幫助你。大衛就收留他們，立他們作軍長。Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, the chief of the Thirty, and he said: “We are yours, O David! We are with you, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers, for your God helps you.” So David received them and made them leaders of his troops.

瑪拿西人來投奔

¹⁹大衛從前與非利士人同去，要與掃羅爭戰，有些瑪拿西人來投奔大衛，他們卻沒有幫助非利士人；因為非利士人的首領商議，打發他們回去，說：「恐怕大衛拿我們的首級，歸降他的主人掃羅。」Some from Manasseh defected to David when he went with the Philistines to fight against Saul. (They did not help the Philistines because the Philistine rulers consulted and sent David away, saying, “It will cost us our heads if he defects to his master Saul.”)

²⁰大衛往洗革拉去的時候，有瑪拿西人的千夫長押拿、約撒拔、耶疊、米迦勒、約撒拔、以利戶、洗勒太都來投奔他。When David went to Ziklag, these men of Manasseh defected to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, chiefs of thousands in Manasseh.

²¹這些人幫助大衛攻擊群賊；他們都是大能的勇士，且作軍長。They helped David against the raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and commanders in the army.

²²那時天天有人來幫助大衛，以致成了大軍，如　神的軍一樣。For at that time men came to David day after day to help him, until he had a great army, like the army of God.

到希伯崙立大衛作王的軍隊

²³預備打仗的兵來到希伯崙見大衛，要照著耶和華的話將掃羅的國位歸與大衛。他們的數目如下：Now these are the numbers of men armed for battle who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul’s kingdom over to him, in accordance with the word of the LORD:

²⁴猶大支派，拿盾牌和槍預備打仗的有六千八百人。From Judah: 6,800 armed troops bearing shields and spears.

²⁵西緬支派，能上陣大能的勇士有七千一百人。From Simeon: 7,100 mighty men of valor, ready for battle.

²⁶利未支派有四千六百人。From Levi: 4,600,

²⁷耶何耶大是亞倫家的首領，跟從他的有三千七百人。including Jehoiada, leader of the house of Aaron, with 3,700 men,

²⁸還有少年大能的勇士撒督，同著他的有族長二十二人。and Zadok, a mighty young man of valor, with 22 commanders from his own family.

²⁹便雅憫支派，掃羅的族弟兄也有三千人，他們向來大半歸順掃羅家。From Benjamin, the kinsmen of Saul: 3,000, most of whom had remained loyal to the house of Saul up to that time.

³⁰以法蓮支派大能的勇士，在本族著名的有二萬零八百人。From Ephraim: 20,800 mighty men of valor, famous among their own clans.

³¹瑪拿西半支派，冊上有名的共一萬八千人，都來立大衛作王。From the half-tribe of Manasseh: 18,000 designated by name to come and make David king.

³²以薩迦支派，有二百族長都通達時務，知道以色列人所當行的；他們族弟兄都聽從他們的命令。From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do: 200 chiefs with all their kinsmen at their command.

³³西布倫支派，能上陣用各樣兵器打仗、行伍整齊、不生二心的有五萬人。From Zebulun: 50,000 fit for service, trained for battle with all kinds of weapons of war, who with one purpose were devoted to David.

³⁴拿弗他利支派，有一千軍長；跟從他們、拿盾牌和槍的有三萬七千人。From Naphtali: 1,000 commanders, accompanied by 37,000 men with shield and spear.

³⁵但支派，能擺陣的有二萬八千六百人。From Dan: 28,600 prepared for battle.

³⁶亞設支派，能上陣打仗的有四萬人。From Asher: 40,000 fit for service, prepared for battle.

³⁷約旦河東的流便支派、迦得支派、瑪拿西半支派，拿著各樣兵器打仗的有十二萬人。And from east of the Jordan, from Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh there: 120,000 armed with every kind of weapon of war.

一心擁立大衛，同吃同喝

³⁸以上都是能守行伍的戰士，他們都誠心來到希伯崙，要立大衛作以色列的王。以色列其餘的人也都一心要立大衛作王。All these men of war, arrayed for battle, came to Hebron fully determined to make David king over all Israel. And all the rest of the Israelites were of one mind to make David king.

³⁹他們在那裡三日，與大衛一同吃喝，因為他們的族弟兄給他們預備了。They spent three days there eating and drinking with David, for their relatives had provided for them.

⁴⁰靠近他們的人以及以薩迦、西布倫、拿弗他利人將許多麵餅、無花果餅、乾葡萄、酒、油，用驢、駱駝、騾子、牛馱來，又帶了許多的牛和羊來，因為以色列人甚是歡樂。And their neighbors from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali came bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen—abundant supplies of flour, fig cakes and raisin cakes, wine and oil, oxen and sheep. Indeed, there was joy in Israel.

彼得在一百二十人中站起來

¹⁵那時，有許多人聚會，約有一百二十名，彼得就在弟兄中間站起來，說：In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (a gathering of about a hundred and twenty) and said,

猶大的結局

¹⁶「弟兄們！聖靈藉大衛的口，在聖經上預言領人捉拿耶穌的猶大，這話是必須應驗的。“Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit foretold through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide for those who arrested Jesus.

¹⁷他本來列在我們數中，並且在使徒的職任上得了一分。He was one of our number and shared in this ministry.”

¹⁸這人用他作惡的工價買了一塊田，以後身子仆倒，肚腹崩裂，腸子都流出來。(Now with the reward for his wickedness Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong and burst open in the middle, and all his intestines spilled out.

¹⁹住在耶路撒冷的眾人都知道這事，所以按著他們那裡的話給那塊田起名叫亞革大馬，就是「血田」的意思。This became known to all who lived in Jerusalem, so they called that field in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

詩篇的預言

²⁰因為詩篇上寫著，說：願他的住處變為荒場，無人在內居住；又說：願別人得他的職分。“For it is written in the book of Psalms: ‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’ and, ‘May another take his position.’

補選見證復活的使徒

²¹所以，主耶穌在我們中間始終出入的時候，Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

²²就是從約翰施洗起，直到主離開我們被接上升的日子為止，必須從那常與我們作伴的人中立一位與我們同作耶穌復活的見證。」beginning from John’s baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

搖籤選出馬提亞

²³於是選舉兩個人，就是那叫做巴撒巴，又稱呼猶士都的約瑟，和馬提亞。So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias.

^24–25眾人就禱告說：「主啊，你知道萬人的心，求你從這兩個人中，指明你所揀選的是誰，叫他得這使徒的位分。這位分猶大已經丟棄，往自己的地方去了。」And they prayed, “Lord, You know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two You have chosen to take up this ministry and apostleship, which Judas abandoned to go to his rightful place.”

²⁶於是眾人為他們搖籤，搖出馬提亞來；他就和十一個使徒同列。Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias. So he was added to the eleven apostles.
