迦勒的請求

⁶那時，猶大人來到吉甲見約書亞，有基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒對約書亞說：「耶和華在加低斯‧巴尼亞指著我與你對神人摩西所說的話，你都知道了。Then the sons of Judah approached Joshua at Gilgal, and Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, “You know what the LORD said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh-barnea about you and me.

⁷耶和華的僕人摩西從加低斯‧巴尼亞打發我窺探這地，那時我正四十歲；我按著心意回報他。I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back to him an honest report.

⁸然而，同我上去的眾弟兄使百姓的心消化；但我專心跟從耶和華─我的　神。Although my brothers who went with me made the hearts of the people melt with fear, I remained loyal to the LORD my God.

⁹當日摩西起誓說：『你腳所踏之地定要歸你和你的子孫永遠為業，因為你專心跟從耶和華─我的　神。』On that day Moses swore to me, saying, ‘Surely the land on which you have set foot will be an inheritance to you and your children forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’

¹⁰自從耶和華對摩西說這話的時候，耶和華照他所應許的使我存活這四十五年；其間以色列人在曠野行走。看哪，現今我八十五歲了，Now behold, as the LORD promised, He has kept me alive these forty-five years since He spoke this word to Moses, while Israel wandered in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old,

¹¹我還是強壯，像摩西打發我去的那天一樣；無論是爭戰，是出入，我的力量那時如何，現在還是如何。still as strong today as I was the day Moses sent me out. As my strength was then, so it is now for war, for going out, and for coming in.

¹²求你將耶和華那日應許我的這山地給我；那裡有亞衲族人，並寬大堅固的城，你也曾聽見了。或者耶和華照他所應許的與我同在，我就把他們趕出去。」Now therefore give me this hill country that the LORD promised me on that day, for you yourself heard then that the Anakim were there, with great and fortified cities. Perhaps with the LORD’s help I will drive them out, as the LORD has spoken.”

希伯崙歸迦勒為業

¹³於是約書亞為耶孚尼的兒子迦勒祝福，將希伯崙給他為業。Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance.

¹⁴所以希伯崙作了基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒的產業，直到今日，因為他專心跟從耶和華─以色列的　神。Therefore Hebron belongs to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite as an inheritance to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD, the God of Israel.

¹⁵希伯崙從前名叫基列‧亞巴；亞巴是亞衲族中最尊大的人。於是國中太平，沒有爭戰了。(Hebron used to be called Kiriath-arba, after Arba, the greatest man among the Anakim.) Then the land had rest from war.

猶大的南界

¹猶大支派按著宗族拈鬮所得之地是在儘南邊，到以東的交界，向南直到尋的曠野。Now the allotment for the clans of the tribe of Judah extended to the border of Edom, to the Wilderness of Zin at the extreme southern boundary:

²他們的南界是從鹽海的儘邊，就是從朝南的海汊起，Their southern border started at the bay on the southern tip of the Salt Sea,

³通到亞克拉濱坡的南邊，接連到尋，上到加低斯‧巴尼亞的南邊，又過希斯崙，上到亞達珥，繞到甲加，proceeded south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continued on to Zin, went over to the south of Kadesh-barnea, ran past Hezron up to Addar, and curved toward Karka.

⁴接連到押們，通到埃及小河，直通到海為止。這就是他們的南界。It proceeded to Azmon, joined the Brook of Egypt, and ended at the Sea. This was their southern border.

東界和北界

⁵東界是從鹽海南邊到約旦河口。北界是從約旦河口的海汊起，The eastern border was the Salt Sea as far as the mouth of the Jordan. The northern border started from the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan,

⁶上到伯‧曷拉，過伯‧亞拉巴的北邊，上到流便之子波罕的磐石；went up to Beth-hoglah, proceeded north of Beth-arabah, and went up to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.

⁷從亞割谷往北，上到底璧，直向河南亞都冥坡對面的吉甲；又接連到隱‧示麥泉，直通到隱‧羅結，Then the border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, turning north to Gilgal, which faces the Ascent of Adummim south of the ravine. It continued along the waters of En-shemesh and came out at En-rogel.

⁸上到欣嫩子谷，貼近耶布斯的南界（耶布斯就是耶路撒冷）；又上到欣嫩谷西邊的山頂，就是在利乏音谷極北的邊界；From there the border went up the Valley of Ben-hinnom along the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem) and ascended to the top of the hill that faces the Valley of Hinnom on the west, at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim.

⁹又從山頂延到尼弗多亞的水源，通到以弗崙山的城邑，又延到巴拉（巴拉就是基列‧耶琳）；From the hilltop the border curved to the spring of the Waters of Nephtoah, proceeded to the cities of Mount Ephron, and then bent around toward Baalah (that is, Kiriath-jearim).

¹⁰又從巴拉往西繞到西珥山，接連到耶琳山的北邊（耶琳就是基撒崙）；又下到伯‧示麥過亭納，The border curled westward from Baalah to Mount Seir, ran along the northern slope of Mount Jearim (that is, Chesalon), went down to Beth-shemesh, and crossed to Timnah.

¹¹通到以革倫北邊，延到施基崙，接連到巴拉山；又通到雅比聶，直通到海為止。Then it went out to the northern slope of Ekron, curved toward Shikkeron, proceeded to Mount Baalah, went on to Jabneel, and ended at the Sea.

西界

¹²西界就是大海和靠近大海之地。這是猶大人按著宗族所得之地四圍的交界。And the western border was the coastline of the Great Sea. These are the boundaries around the clans of the descendants of Judah.

迦勒趕出亞衲族

¹³約書亞照耶和華所吩咐的，將猶大人中的一段地，就是基列‧亞巴，分給耶孚尼的兒子迦勒。亞巴是亞衲族的始祖（基列‧亞巴就是希伯崙）。According to the LORD’s command to him, Joshua gave Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah—Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)

¹⁴迦勒就從那裡趕出亞衲族的三個族長，就是示篩、亞希幔、撻買；And Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak—the descendants of Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

¹⁵又從那裡上去，攻擊底璧的居民。（這底璧從前名叫基列‧西弗。）From there he marched against the inhabitants of Debir (formerly known as Kiriath-sepher).

押撒和俄陀聶

¹⁶迦勒說：「誰能攻打基列‧西弗將城奪取，我就把我女兒押撒給他為妻。」And Caleb said, “To the man who strikes down Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give my daughter Acsah in marriage.”

¹⁷迦勒兄弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶奪取了那城，迦勒就把女兒押撒給他為妻。So Othniel son of Caleb’s brother Kenaz captured the city, and Caleb gave his daughter Acsah to him in marriage.

¹⁸押撒過門的時候，勸丈夫向她父親求一塊田，押撒一下驢，迦勒問她說：「你要甚麼？」One day Acsah came to Othniel and urged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What do you desire?”

¹⁹她說：「求你賜福給我，你既將我安置在南地，求你也給我水泉。」她父親就把上泉下泉賜給她。“Give me a blessing,” she answered. “Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me springs of water as well.” So Caleb gave her both the upper and lower springs.

猶大儘南邊的城邑

²⁰以下是猶大支派按著宗族所得的產業。This is the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Judah.

²¹猶大支派儘南邊的城邑，與以東交界相近的，就是甲薛、以得、雅姑珥、These were the southernmost cities of the tribe of Judah in the Negev toward the border of Edom: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,

²²基拿、底摩拿、亞大達、Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah,

²³基低斯、夏瑣、以提楠、Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,

²⁴西弗、提鍊、比亞綠、Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,

²⁵夏瑣‧哈大他、加略‧希斯崙（加略‧希斯崙就是夏瑣）、Hazor-hadattah, Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor),

²⁶亞曼、示瑪、摩拉大、Amam, Shema, Moladah,

²⁷哈薩‧迦大、黑實門、伯‧帕列、Hazar-gaddah, Heshmon, Beth-pelet,

²⁸哈薩‧書亞、別是巴、比斯約他、Hazar-shual, Beersheba, Biziothiah,

高原的城邑

³³在高原有以實陶、瑣拉、亞實拿、These were in the foothills: Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,

³⁴撒挪亞、隱‧干寧、他普亞、以楠、Zanoah, En-gannim, Tappuah, Enam,

³⁵耶末、亞杜蘭、梭哥、亞西加、Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah,

³⁶沙拉音、亞底他音、基底拉、基底羅他音，共十四座城，還有屬城的村莊。Shaaraim, Adithaim, and Gederah (or Gederothaim)—fourteen cities, along with their villages.

³⁷又有洗楠、哈大沙、麥大‧迦得、Zenan, Hadashah, Migdal-gad,

³⁸底連、米斯巴、約帖、Dilan, Mizpeh, Joktheel,

³⁹拉吉、波斯加、伊磯倫、Lachish, Bozkath, Eglon,

⁴⁰迦本、拉幔、基提利、Cabbon, Lahmas, Chitlish,

⁴¹基低羅、伯‧大袞、拿瑪、瑪基大，共十六座城，還有屬城的村莊。Gederoth, Beth-dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah—sixteen cities, along with their villages.

⁴²又有立拿、以帖、亞珊、Libnah, Ether, Ashan,

⁴³益弗他、亞實拿、尼悉、Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,

⁴⁴基伊拉、亞革悉、瑪利沙，共九座城，還有屬城的村莊。Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah—nine cities, along with their villages.

⁴⁵又有以革倫和屬以革倫的鎮市村莊；Ekron, with its towns and villages;

⁴⁶從以革倫直到海，一切靠近亞實突之地，並屬其地的村莊。from Ekron to the sea, all the cities near Ashdod, along with their villages;

⁴⁷亞實突和屬亞實突的鎮市村莊；迦薩和屬迦薩的鎮市村莊；直到埃及小河，並大海和靠近大海之地。Ashdod, with its towns and villages; Gaza, with its towns and villages, as far as the Brook of Egypt and the coastline of the Great Sea.

山地的城邑

⁴⁸在山地有沙密、雅提珥、梭哥、These were in the hill country: Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,

⁴⁹大拿、基列‧薩拿（基列‧薩拿就是底璧）、Dannah, Kiriath-sannah (that is, Debir),

⁵⁰亞拿伯、以實提莫、亞念、Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim,

⁵¹歌珊、何倫、基羅，共十一座城，還有屬城的村莊。Goshen, Holon, and Giloh—eleven cities, along with their villages.

⁵²又有亞拉、度瑪、以珊、Arab, Dumah, Eshan,

⁵³雅農、伯‧他普亞、亞非加、Janim, Beth-tappuah, Aphekah,

⁵⁴宏他、基列‧亞巴（基列‧亞巴就是希伯崙）、洗珥，共九座城，還有屬城的村莊。Humtah, Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior—nine cities, along with their villages.

⁵⁵又有瑪雲、迦密、西弗、淤他、Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Juttah,

⁵⁶耶斯列、約甸、撒挪亞、Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,

⁵⁷該隱、基比亞、亭納，共十座城，還有屬城的村莊。Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah—ten cities, along with their villages.

⁵⁸又有哈忽、伯‧夙、基突、Halhul, Beth-zur, Gedor,

⁵⁹瑪臘、伯‧亞諾、伊勒提君，共六座城，還有屬城的村莊。Maarath, Beth-anoth, and Eltekon—six cities, along with their villages.

⁶⁰又有基列‧巴力（基列‧巴力就是基列‧耶琳）、拉巴，共兩座城，還有屬城的村莊。Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah—two cities, along with their villages.

曠野的城邑

⁶¹在曠野有伯‧亞拉巴、密丁、西迦迦、These were in the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, Secacah,

⁶²匿珊、鹽城、隱‧基底，共六座城，還有屬城的村莊。Nibshan, the City of Salt, and En-gedi—six cities, along with their villages.

耶布斯人仍住耶路撒冷

⁶³至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，猶大人不能把他們趕出去，耶布斯人卻在耶路撒冷與猶大人同住，直到今日。But the descendants of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites living in Jerusalem. So to this day the Jebusites live there among the descendants of Judah.

下山遇見求助的父親

³⁷第二天，他們下了山，就有許多人迎見耶穌。The next day, when they came down from the mountain, Jesus was met by a large crowd.

³⁸其中有一人喊叫說：「夫子！求你看顧我的兒子，因為他是我的獨生子。Suddenly a man in the crowd cried out, “Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, for he is my only child.

³⁹他被鬼抓住就忽然喊叫；鬼又叫他抽瘋，口中流沫，並且重重地傷害他，難以離開他。A spirit keeps seizing him, and he screams abruptly. It throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It keeps mauling him and rarely departs from him.

⁴⁰我求過你的門徒，把鬼趕出去，他們卻是不能。」I begged Your disciples to drive it out, but they were unable.”

⁴¹耶穌說：「噯！這又不信又悖謬的世代啊，我在你們這裡，忍耐你們要到幾時呢？將你的兒子帶到這裡來吧！」“O unbelieving and perverse generation!” Jesus replied. “How long must I remain with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

耶穌趕出污鬼

⁴²正來的時候，鬼把他摔倒，叫他重重地抽瘋。耶穌就斥責那污鬼，把孩子治好了，交給他父親。Even while the boy was approaching, the demon slammed him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

再次預言被交在人手裡

⁴³眾人都詫異　神的大能（大能：或譯威榮）。耶穌所做的一切事，眾人正希奇的時候，耶穌對門徒說：And they were all astonished at the greatness of God. While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus was doing, He said to His disciples,

⁴⁴「你們要把這些話存在耳中，因為人子將要被交在人手裡。」“Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.”

⁴⁵他們不明白這話，意思乃是隱藏的，叫他們不能明白，他們也不敢問這話的意思。But they did not understand this statement. It was veiled from them so that they could not comprehend it, and they were afraid to ask Him about it.

誰將為大

⁴⁶門徒中間起了議論，誰將為大。Then an argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.

⁴⁷耶穌看出他們心中的議論，就領一個小孩子來，叫他站在自己旁邊，But Jesus, knowing the thoughts of their hearts, had a little child stand beside Him.

⁴⁸對他們說：「凡為我名接待這小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，就是接待那差我來的。你們中間最小的，他便為大。」And He said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me, and whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me. For whoever is the least among all of you, he is the greatest.”

不要禁止他

⁴⁹約翰說：「夫子，我們看見一個人奉你的名趕鬼，我們就禁止他，因為他不與我們一同跟從你。」“Master,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not accompany us.”

⁵⁰耶穌說：「不要禁止他；因為不敵擋你們的，就是幫助你們的。」“Do not stop him,” Jesus replied, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”
