擊敗希實本王西宏

²⁴你們起來前往，過亞嫩谷；我已將亞摩利人希實本王西宏和他的地交在你手中，你要與他爭戰，得他的地為業。“Arise, set out, and cross the Arnon Valley. See, I have delivered into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession of it and engage him in battle.

²⁵從今日起，我要使天下萬民聽見你的名聲都驚恐懼怕，且因你發顫傷慟。」This very day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon all the nations under heaven. They will hear the reports of you and tremble in anguish because of you.”

²⁶「我從基底莫的曠野差遣使者去見希實本王西宏，用和睦的話說：So from the Wilderness of Kedemoth I sent messengers with an offer of peace to Sihon king of Heshbon, saying,

²⁷『求你容我從你的地經過，只走大道，不偏左右。“Let us pass through your land; we will stay on the main road. We will not turn to the right or to the left.

²⁸你可以賣糧給我吃，也可以賣水給我喝，只要容我步行過去，You can sell us food to eat and water to drink in exchange for silver. Only let us pass through on foot,

²⁹就如住西珥的以掃子孫和住亞珥的摩押人待我一樣，等我過了約旦河，好進入耶和華─我們　神所賜給我們的地。』just as the descendants of Esau who live in Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for us, until we cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.”

³⁰但希實本王西宏不容我們從他那裡經過；因為耶和華─你的　神使他心中剛硬，性情頑梗，為要將他交在你手中，像今日一樣。But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass through, for the LORD your God had made his spirit stubborn and his heart obstinate, that He might deliver him into your hand, as is the case this day.

³¹耶和華對我說：『從此起首，我要將西宏和他的地交給你；你要得他的地為業。』Then the LORD said to me, “See, I have begun to deliver Sihon and his land over to you. Now begin to conquer and possess his land.”

³²那時，西宏和他的眾民出來攻擊我們，在雅雜與我們交戰。So Sihon and his whole army came out for battle against us at Jahaz.

³³耶和華─我們的　神將他交給我們，我們就把他和他的兒子，並他的眾民，都擊殺了。And the LORD our God delivered him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and his whole army.

³⁴我們奪了他的一切城邑，將有人煙的各城，連女人帶孩子，盡都毀滅，沒有留下一個。At that time we captured all his cities and devoted to destruction the people of every city, including women and children. We left no survivors.

³⁵惟有牲畜和所奪的各城，並其中的財物，都取為自己的掠物。We carried off for ourselves only the livestock and the plunder from the cities we captured.

³⁶從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥和谷中的城，直到基列，耶和華─我們的　神都交給我們了，沒有一座城高得使我們不能攻取的。From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the valley, even as far as Gilead, not one city had walls too high for us. The LORD our God gave us all of them.

³⁷惟有亞捫人之地，凡靠近雅博河的地，並山地的城邑，與耶和華─我們　神所禁止我們去的地方，都沒有挨近。」But you did not go near the land of the Ammonites, or the land along the banks of the Jabbok River, or the cities of the hill country, or any place that the LORD our God had forbidden.

擊敗巴珊王噩

¹「以後，我們轉回，向巴珊去。巴珊王噩和他的眾民都出來，在以得來與我們交戰。Then we turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan and his whole army came out to meet us in battle at Edrei.

²耶和華對我說：『不要怕他！因我已將他和他的眾民，並他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像從前待住希實本的亞摩利王西宏一樣。』But the LORD said to me, “Do not fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, along with all his people and his land. Do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.”

³於是耶和華─我們的　神也將巴珊王噩和他的眾民都交在我們手中；我們殺了他們，沒有留下一個。So the LORD our God also delivered Og king of Bashan and his whole army into our hands. We struck them down until no survivor was left.

⁴那時，我們奪了他所有的城，共有六十座，沒有一座城不被我們所奪。這為亞珥歌伯的全境，就是巴珊地噩王的國。At that time we captured all sixty of his cities. There was not a single city we failed to take—the entire region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

⁵這些城都有堅固的高牆，有門有閂。此外還有許多無城牆的鄉村。All these cities were fortified with high walls and gates and bars, and there were many more unwalled villages.

⁶我們將這些都毀滅了，像從前待希實本王西宏一樣，把有人煙的各城，連女人帶孩子，盡都毀滅；We devoted them to destruction, as we had done to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city.

⁷惟有一切牲畜和城中的財物都取為自己的掠物。But all the livestock and plunder of the cities we carried off for ourselves.

⁸那時，我們從約旦河東兩個亞摩利王的手將亞嫩谷直到黑門山之地奪過來At that time we took from the two kings of the Amorites the land across the Jordan, from the Arnon Valley as far as Mount Hermon—

⁹（這黑門山，西頓人稱為西連，亞摩利人稱為示尼珥），which the Sidonians call Sirion but the Amorites call Senir—

¹⁰就是奪了平原的各城、基列全地、巴珊全地，直到撒迦和以得來，都是巴珊王噩國內的城邑。all the cities of the plateau, all of Gilead, and all of Bashan as far as the cities of Salecah and Edrei in the kingdom of Og.

¹¹（利乏音人所剩下的只有巴珊王噩。他的床是鐵的，長九肘，寬四肘，都是以人肘為度。現今豈不是在亞捫人的拉巴嗎？）」(For only Og king of Bashan had remained of the remnant of the Rephaim. His bed of iron, nine cubits long and four cubits wide, is still in Rabbah of the Ammonites.)

分配約旦河東之地

¹²「那時，我們得了這地。從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起，我將基列山地的一半，並其中的城邑，都給了流便人和迦得人。So at that time we took possession of this land. To the Reubenites and Gadites I gave the land beyond Aroer along the Arnon Valley, and half the hill country of Gilead, along with its cities.

¹³其餘的基列地和巴珊全地，就是噩王的國，我給了瑪拿西半支派。亞珥歌伯全地乃是巴珊全地；這叫做利乏音人之地。To the half-tribe of Manasseh I gave the rest of Gilead and all of Bashan, the kingdom of Og. (The entire region of Argob, the whole territory of Bashan, used to be called the land of the Rephaim.)

¹⁴瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔了亞珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和瑪迦人的交界，就按自己的名稱這巴珊地為哈倭特‧睚珥，直到今日。Jair, a descendant of Manasseh, took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites. He renamed Bashan after himself, Havvoth-jair, by which it is called to this day.

¹⁵我又將基列給了瑪吉。To Machir I gave Gilead,

¹⁶從基列到亞嫩谷，以谷中為界，直到亞捫人交界的雅博河，我給了流便人和迦得人，and to the Reubenites and Gadites I gave the territory from Gilead to the Arnon Valley (the middle of the valley was the border) and up to the Jabbok River, the border of the Ammonites.

¹⁷又將亞拉巴和靠近約旦河之地，從基尼烈直到亞拉巴海，就是鹽海，並毘斯迦山根東邊之地，都給了他們。The Jordan River in the Arabah bordered it from Chinnereth to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea) with the slopes of Pisgah to the east.

河東支派要先過河爭戰

¹⁸「那時，我吩咐你們說：『耶和華─你們的　神已將這地賜給你們為業；你們所有的勇士都要帶著兵器，在你們的弟兄以色列人前面過去。At that time I commanded you: “The LORD your God has given you this land to possess. All your men of valor are to cross over, armed for battle, ahead of your brothers, the Israelites.

¹⁹但你們的妻子、孩子、牲畜（我知道你們有許多的牲畜）可以住在我所賜給你們的各城裡。But your wives, your children, and your livestock—I know that you have much livestock—may remain in the cities I have given you,

²⁰等到你們弟兄在約旦河那邊，也得耶和華─你們　神所賜給他們的地，又使他們得享平安，與你們一樣，你們才可以回到我所賜給你們為業之地。』until the LORD gives rest to your brothers as He has to you, and they too have taken possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. Then each of you may return to the possession I have given you.”

²¹那時我吩咐約書亞說：『你親眼看見了耶和華─你　神向這二王所行的；耶和華也必向你所要去的各國照樣行。And at that time I commanded Joshua: “Your own eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms you are about to enter.

²²你不要怕他們，因那為你爭戰的是耶和華─你的　神。』」Do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God Himself will fight for you.”

摩西求進美地，神不應允

²³「那時，我懇求耶和華說：At that time I also pleaded with the LORD:

²⁴『主耶和華啊，你已將你的大力大能顯給僕人看。在天上，在地下，有甚麼　神能像你行事、像你有大能的作為呢？“O Lord GOD, You have begun to show Your greatness and power to Your servant. For what god in heaven or on earth can perform such works and mighty acts as Yours?

²⁵求你容我過去，看約旦河那邊的美地，就是那佳美的山地和黎巴嫩。』Please let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan—that pleasant hill country as well as Lebanon!”

²⁶但耶和華因你們的緣故向我發怒，不應允我，對我說：『罷了！你不要向我再提這事。But the LORD was angry with me on account of you, and He would not listen to me. “That is enough,” the LORD said to me. “Do not speak to Me again about this matter.

²⁷你且上毘斯迦山頂去，向東、西、南、北舉目觀望，因為你必不能過這約旦河。Go to the top of Pisgah and look to the west and north and south and east. See the land with your own eyes, for you will not cross this Jordan.

²⁸你卻要囑咐約書亞，勉勵他，使他膽壯；因為他必在這百姓前面過去，使他們承受你所要觀看之地。』But commission Joshua, encourage him, and strengthen him, for he will cross over ahead of the people and enable them to inherit the land that you will see.”

²⁹於是我們住在伯‧毘珥對面的谷中。」So we stayed in the valley opposite Beth-peor.

不可加添，也不可刪減

¹「以色列人哪，現在我所教訓你們的律例典章，你們要聽從遵行，好叫你們存活，得以進入耶和華─你們列祖之　神所賜給你們的地，承受為業。Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow, so that you may live and may enter and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.

²所吩咐你們的話，你們不可加添，也不可刪減，好叫你們遵守我所吩咐的，就是耶和華─你們　神的命令。You must not add to or subtract from what I command you, so that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I am giving you.

³耶和華因巴力‧毘珥的事所行的，你們親眼看見了。凡隨從巴力‧毘珥的人，耶和華─你們的　神都從你們中間除滅了。Your eyes have seen what the LORD did at Baal-peor, for the LORD your God destroyed from among you all who followed Baal of Peor.

⁴惟有你們專靠耶和華─你們　神的人，今日全都存活。But you who held fast to the LORD your God are alive to this day, every one of you.

⁵我照著耶和華─我　神所吩咐的將律例典章教訓你們，使你們在所要進去得為業的地上遵行。See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land that you are about to enter and possess.

⁶所以你們要謹守遵行；這就是你們在萬民眼前的智慧、聰明。他們聽見這一切律例，必說：『這大國的人真是有智慧，有聰明！』Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the peoples, who will hear of all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

⁷哪一大國的人有　神與他們相近，像耶和華─我們的　神、在我們求告他的時候與我們相近呢？For what nation is great enough to have a god as near to them as the LORD our God is to us whenever we call on Him?

⁸又哪一大國有這樣公義的律例典章、像我今日在你們面前所陳明的這一切律法呢？And what nation is great enough to have righteous statutes and ordinances like this entire law I set before you today?

記得何烈山的事，傳給子孫

⁹「你只要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得你一生、這事離開你的心；總要傳給你的子子孫孫。Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves, so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen, and so that they do not slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and grandchildren.

¹⁰你在何烈山站在耶和華─你　神面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我招聚百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們存活在世的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教訓兒女這樣行。』The day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, the LORD said to me, “Gather the people before Me to hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach them to their children.”

¹¹那時你們近前來，站在山下；山上有火焰沖天，並有昏黑、密雲、幽暗。You came near and stood at the base of the mountain, a mountain blazing with fire to the heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.

¹²耶和華從火焰中對你們說話，你們只聽見聲音，卻沒有看見形像。And the LORD spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of the words but saw no form; there was only a voice.

¹³他將所吩咐你們當守的約指示你們，就是十條誡，並將這誡寫在兩塊石版上。He declared to you His covenant, which He commanded you to follow—the Ten Commandments that He wrote on two tablets of stone.

¹⁴那時耶和華又吩咐我將律例典章教訓你們，使你們在所要過去得為業的地上遵行。」At that time the LORD commanded me to teach you the statutes and ordinances you are to follow in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

不可雕刻任何偶像

¹⁵「所以，你們要分外謹慎；因為耶和華在何烈山、從火中對你們說話的那日，你們沒有看見甚麼形像。So since you saw no form of any kind on the day the LORD spoke to you out of the fire at Horeb, be careful

¹⁶惟恐你們敗壞自己，雕刻偶像，彷彿甚麼男像女像，that you do not act corruptly and make an idol for yourselves of any form or shape, whether in the likeness of a male or female,

¹⁷或地上走獸的像，或空中飛鳥的像，of any beast that is on the earth or bird that flies in the air,

¹⁸或地上爬物的像，或地底下水中魚的像。or of any creature that crawls on the ground or fish that is in the waters below.

¹⁹又恐怕你向天舉目觀看，見耶和華─你的　神為天下萬民所擺列的日月星，就是天上的萬象，自己便被勾引敬拜事奉它。When you look to the heavens and see the sun and moon and stars—all the host of heaven—do not be enticed to bow down and worship what the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.

²⁰耶和華將你們從埃及領出來，脫離鐵爐，要特作自己產業的子民，像今日一樣。Yet the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of His inheritance, as you are today.

²¹耶和華又因你們的緣故向我發怒，起誓必不容我過約旦河，也不容我進入耶和華─你　神所賜你為業的那美地。The LORD, however, was angry with me on account of you, and He swore that I would not cross the Jordan to enter the good land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

²²我只得死在這地，不能過約旦河；但你們必過去得那美地。For I will not be crossing the Jordan, because I must die in this land. But you shall cross over and take possession of that good land.

²³你們要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華─你們　神與你們所立的約，為自己雕刻偶像，就是耶和華─你　神所禁止你做的偶像；Be careful that you do not forget the covenant of the LORD your God that He made with you; do not make an idol for yourselves in the form of anything He has forbidden you.

²⁴因為耶和華─你的　神乃是烈火，是忌邪的　神。For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

被分散後，尋求神必尋見

²⁵「你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，就雕刻偶像，彷彿甚麼形像，敗壞自己，行耶和華─你　神眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。After you have children and grandchildren and you have been in the land a long time, if you then act corruptly and make an idol of any form—doing evil in the sight of the LORD your God and provoking Him to anger—

²⁶我今日呼天喚地向你們作見證，你們必在過約旦河得為業的地上速速滅盡！你們不能在那地上長久，必盡行除滅。I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live long upon it, but will be utterly destroyed.

²⁷耶和華必使你們分散在萬民中；在他所領你們到的萬國裡，你們剩下的人數稀少。Then the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you.

²⁸在那裡，你們必事奉人手所造的神，就是用木石造成、不能看、不能聽、不能吃、不能聞的神。And there you will serve man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.

²⁹但你們在那裡必尋求耶和華─你的　神。你盡心盡性尋求他的時候，就必尋見。But if from there you will seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

³⁰日後你遭遇一切患難的時候，你必歸回耶和華─你的　神，聽從他的話。When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice.

³¹耶和華─你　神原是有憐憫的　神；他總不撇下你，不滅絕你，也不忘記他起誓與你列祖所立的約。For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them by oath.

惟有耶和華是神

^32–33「你且考察在你以前的世代，自　神造人在世以來，從天這邊到天那邊，曾有何民聽見　神在火中說話的聲音，像你聽見還能存活呢？這樣的大事何曾有、何曾聽見呢？Indeed, ask now from one end of the heavens to the other about the days that long preceded you, from the day that God created man on earth: Has anything as great as this ever happened or been reported? Has a people ever heard the voice of God speaking out of the fire, as you have, and lived?

³⁴神何曾從別的國中將一國的人民領出來，用試驗、神蹟、奇事、爭戰、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，並大可畏的事，像耶和華─你們的　神在埃及，在你們眼前為你們所行的一切事呢？Or has any god tried to take as his own a nation out of another nation—by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and by great terrors—as the LORD your God did for you in Egypt, before your eyes?

³⁵這是顯給你看，要使你知道，惟有耶和華─他是　神，除他以外，再無別神。You were shown these things so that you would know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides Him.

³⁶他從天上使你聽見他的聲音，為要教訓你，又在地上使你看見他的烈火，並且聽見他從火中所說的話。He let you hear His voice from heaven to discipline you, and on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the fire.

³⁷因他愛你的列祖，所以揀選他們的後裔，用大能親自領你出了埃及，Because He loved your fathers, He chose their descendants after them and brought you out of Egypt by His presence and great power,

³⁸要將比你強大的國民從你面前趕出，領你進去，將他們的地賜你為業，像今日一樣。to drive out before you nations greater and mightier than you, and to bring you into their land and give it to you for your inheritance, as it is this day.

³⁹所以，今日你要知道，也要記在心上，天上地下惟有耶和華他是　神，除他以外，再無別神。Know therefore this day and take to heart that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.

⁴⁰我今日將他的律例誡命曉諭你，你要遵守，使你和你的子孫可以得福，並使你的日子在耶和華─你　神所賜的地上得以長久。」Keep His statutes and commandments, which I am giving you today, so that you and your children after you may prosper, and that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for all time.

約旦河東的三座逃城

⁴¹「那時，摩西在約旦河東，向日出之地，分定三座城，Then Moses set aside three cities across the Jordan to the east

⁴²使那素無仇恨、無心殺了人的，可以逃到這三城之中的一座城，就得存活：to which a manslayer could flee after killing his neighbor unintentionally without prior malice. To save one’s own life, he could flee to one of these cities:

⁴³為流便人分定曠野平原的比悉；為迦得人分定基列的拉末；為瑪拿西人分定巴珊的哥蘭。」Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau belonging to the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead belonging to the Gadites, or Golan in Bashan belonging to the Manassites.

婦女們清早來到墳墓

¹過了安息日，抹大拉的馬利亞和雅各的母親馬利亞並撒羅米，買了香膏要去膏耶穌的身體。When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so they could go and anoint the body of Jesus.

²七日的第一日清早，出太陽的時候，她們來到墳墓那裡，Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they went to the tomb.

³彼此說：「誰給我們把石頭從墓門滾開呢？」They were asking one another, “Who will roll away the stone from the entrance of the tomb?”

⁴那石頭原來很大，她們抬頭一看，卻見石頭已經滾開了。But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, even though it was extremely large.

少年人說：他已經復活了

⁵她們進了墳墓，看見一個少年人坐在右邊，穿著白袍，就甚驚恐。When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

⁶那少年人對她們說：「不要驚恐！你們尋找那釘十字架的拿撒勒人耶穌，他已經復活了，不在這裡。請看安放他的地方。But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here! See the place where they put Him.

⁷你們可以去告訴他的門徒和彼得，說：『他在你們以先往加利利去。在那裡你們要見他，正如他從前所告訴你們的。』」But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.’”

⁸她們就出來，從墳墓那裡逃跑，又發抖又驚奇，甚麼也不告訴人，因為她們害怕。So the women left the tomb and ran away, trembling and bewildered. And in their fear they did not say a word to anyone.

向抹大拉的馬利亞顯現

⁹在七日的第一日清早，耶穌復活了，就先向抹大拉的馬利亞顯現。（耶穌從她身上曾趕出七個鬼。）Early on the first day of the week, after Jesus had risen, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had driven out seven demons.

¹⁰她去告訴那向來跟隨耶穌的人；那時他們正哀慟哭泣。She went and told those who had been with Him, who were mourning and weeping.

¹¹他們聽見耶穌活了，被馬利亞看見，卻是不信。And when they heard that Jesus was alive and she had seen Him, they did not believe it.

向兩個門徒顯現

¹²這事以後，門徒中間有兩個人往鄉下去。走路的時候，耶穌變了形像，向他們顯現。After this, Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them as they walked along in the country.

¹³他們就去告訴其餘的門徒；其餘的門徒也是不信。And they went back and reported it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.

差遣十一個門徒

¹⁴後來，十一個門徒坐席的時候，耶穌向他們顯現，責備他們不信，心裡剛硬，因為他們不信那些在他復活以後看見他的人。Later, as they were eating, Jesus appeared to the Eleven and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

¹⁵他又對他們說：「你們往普天下去，傳福音給萬民（萬民：原文是凡受造的）聽。And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

¹⁶信而受洗的，必然得救；不信的，必被定罪。Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

¹⁷信的人必有神蹟隨著他們，就是奉我的名趕鬼；說新方言；And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

¹⁸手能拿蛇；若喝了甚麼毒物，也必不受害；手按病人，病人就必好了。」they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.”

耶穌升天，門徒出去傳福音

¹⁹主耶穌和他們說完了話，後來被接到天上，坐在　神的右邊。After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
