摩西在摩押地講明律法

¹以下所記的是摩西在約旦河東的曠野、疏弗對面的亞拉巴─就是巴蘭、陀弗、拉班、哈洗錄、底撒哈中間─向以色列眾人所說的話。These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel in the wilderness east of the Jordan—in the Arabah opposite Suph—between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

²（從何烈山經過西珥山到加低斯‧巴尼亞有十一天的路程。）It is an eleven-day journey from Horeb to Kadesh-barnea by way of Mount Seir.

³出埃及第四十年十一月初一日，摩西照耶和華藉著他所吩咐以色列人的話都曉諭他們。In the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that the LORD had commanded him concerning them.

⁴那時，他已經擊殺了住希實本的亞摩利王西宏和住以得來、亞斯他錄的巴珊王噩。This was after he had defeated Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and then at Edrei had defeated Og king of Bashan, who lived in Ashtaroth.

⁵摩西在約旦河東的摩押地講律法說：On the east side of the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses began to explain this law, saying:

離開何烈山，往應許之地

⁶「耶和華─我們的　神在何烈山曉諭我們說：你們在這山上住的日子夠了；The LORD our God said to us at Horeb: “You have stayed at this mountain long enough.

⁷要起行轉到亞摩利人的山地和靠近這山地的各處，就是亞拉巴、山地、高原、南地，沿海一帶迦南人的地，並黎巴嫩山又到幼發拉底大河。Resume your journey and go to the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the hill country, in the foothills, in the Negev, and along the seacoast to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great River Euphrates.

⁸如今我將這地擺在你們面前；你們要進去得這地，就是耶和華向你們列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許賜給他們和他們後裔為業之地。」See, I have placed the land before you. Enter and possess the land that the LORD swore He would give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants after them.”

設立首領和審判官

⁹「那時，我對你們說：『管理你們的重任，我獨自擔當不起。At that time I said to you, “I cannot carry the burden for you alone.

¹⁰耶和華─你們的　神使你們多起來。看哪，你們今日像天上的星那樣多。The LORD your God has multiplied you, so that today you are as numerous as the stars in the sky.

¹¹惟願耶和華─你們列祖的　神使你們比如今更多千倍，照他所應許你們的話賜福與你們。May the LORD, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times over and bless you as He has promised.

¹²但你們的麻煩，和管理你們的重任，並你們的爭訟，我獨自一人怎能擔當得起呢？But how can I bear your troubles, burdens, and disputes all by myself?

¹³你們要按著各支派選舉有智慧、有見識、為眾人所認識的，我立他們為你們的首領。』Choose for yourselves wise, understanding, and respected men from each of your tribes, and I will appoint them as your leaders.”

¹⁴你們回答我說：『照你所說的行了為妙。』And you answered me and said, “What you propose to do is good.”

¹⁵我便將你們各支派的首領，有智慧、為眾人所認識的，照你們的支派，立他們為官長、千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長，管理你們。So I took the leaders of your tribes, wise and respected men, and appointed them as leaders over you—as commanders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens, and as officers for your tribes.

¹⁶「當時，我囑咐你們的審判官說：『你們聽訟，無論是弟兄彼此爭訟，是與同居的外人爭訟，都要按公義判斷。At that time I charged your judges: “Hear the disputes between your brothers, and judge fairly between a man and his brother or a foreign resident.

¹⁷審判的時候，不可看人的外貌；聽訟不可分貴賤，不可懼怕人，因為審判是屬乎　神的。若有難斷的案件，可以呈到我這裡，我就判斷。』Show no partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgment belongs to God. And bring to me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.”

¹⁸那時，我將你們所當行的事都吩咐你們了。」And at that time I commanded you all the things you were to do.

到加低斯‧巴尼亞，派人窺探

¹⁹「我們照著耶和華─我們　神所吩咐的從何烈山起行，經過你們所看見那大而可怕的曠野，往亞摩利人的山地去，到了加低斯‧巴尼亞。And just as the LORD our God had commanded us, we set out from Horeb and went toward the hill country of the Amorites, through all the vast and terrifying wilderness you have seen. When we reached Kadesh-barnea,

²⁰我對你們說：『你們已經到了耶和華─我們　神所賜給我們的亞摩利人之山地。I said: “You have reached the hill country of the Amorites, which the LORD our God is giving us.

²¹看哪，耶和華─你的　神已將那地擺在你面前，你要照耶和華─你列祖的　神所說的上去得那地為業；不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。』See, the LORD your God has placed the land before you. Go up and take possession of it as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has told you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

²²你們都就近我來說：『我們要先打發人去，為我們窺探那地，將我們上去該走何道，必進何城，都回報我們。』Then all of you approached me and said, “Let us send men ahead of us to search out the land and bring us word of what route to follow and which cities to enter.”

²³這話我以為美，就從你們中間選了十二個人，每支派一人。The plan seemed good to me, so I selected twelve men from among you, one from each tribe.

²⁴於是他們起身上山地去，到以實各谷，窺探那地。They left and went up into the hill country, and came to the Valley of Eshcol and spied out the land.

²⁵他們手裡拿著那地的果子下來，到我們那裡，回報說：『耶和華─我們的　神所賜給我們的是美地。』They took some of the fruit of the land in their hands, carried it down to us, and brought us word: “It is a good land that the LORD our God is giving us.”

百姓不肯上去，發怨言

²⁶「你們卻不肯上去，竟違背了耶和華─你們　神的命令，But you were unwilling to go up; you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God.

²⁷在帳棚內發怨言說：『耶和華因為恨我們，所以將我們從埃及地領出來，要交在亞摩利人手中，除滅我們。You grumbled in your tents and said, “Because the LORD hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to be annihilated.

²⁸我們上哪裡去呢？我們的弟兄使我們的心消化，說那地的民比我們又大又高，城邑又廣大又堅固，高得頂天，並且我們在那裡看見亞衲族的人。』Where can we go? Our brothers have made our hearts melt, saying: ‘The people are larger and taller than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the heavens. We even saw the descendants of the Anakim there.’”

²⁹我就對你們說：『不要驚恐，也不要怕他們。So I said to you: “Do not be terrified or afraid of them!

³⁰在你們前面行的耶和華─你們的　神必為你們爭戰，正如他在埃及和曠野，在你們眼前所行的一樣。The LORD your God, who goes before you, will fight for you, just as you saw Him do for you in Egypt

³¹你們在曠野所行的路上，也曾見耶和華─你們的　神撫養你們，如同人撫養兒子一般，直等你們來到這地方。』and in the wilderness, where the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way by which you traveled until you reached this place.”

³²你們在這事上卻不信耶和華─你們的　神。But in spite of all this, you did not trust the LORD your God,

³³他在路上，在你們前面行，為你們找安營的地方；夜間在火柱裡，日間在雲柱裡，指示你們所當行的路。」who went before you on the journey, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day, to seek out a place for you to camp and to show you the road to travel.

那一代人不得進美地

³⁴「耶和華聽見你們這話，就發怒，起誓說：When the LORD heard your words, He grew angry and swore an oath, saying,

³⁵『這惡世代的人，連一個也不得見我起誓應許賜給你們列祖的美地；“Not one of the men of this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your fathers,

³⁶惟有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒必得看見，並且我要將他所踏過的地賜給他和他的子孫，因為他專心跟從我。』except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land on which he has set foot, because he followed the LORD wholeheartedly.”

³⁷耶和華為你們的緣故也向我發怒，說：『你必不得進入那地。The LORD was also angry with me on your account, and He said, “Not even you shall enter the land.

³⁸伺候你、嫩的兒子約書亞，他必得進入那地；你要勉勵他，因為他要使以色列人承受那地為業。Joshua son of Nun, who stands before you, will enter it. Encourage him, for he will enable Israel to inherit the land.

³⁹並且你們的婦人孩子，就是你們所說、必被擄掠的，和今日不知善惡的兒女，必進入那地。我要將那地賜給他們，他們必得為業。And the little ones you said would become captives—your children who on that day did not know good from evil—will enter the land that I will give them, and they will possess it.

⁴⁰至於你們，要轉回，從紅海的路往曠野去。』But you are to turn back and head for the wilderness along the route to the Red Sea.”

擅自上山，被亞摩利人打敗

⁴¹「那時，你們回答我說：『我們得罪了耶和華，情願照耶和華─我們　神一切所吩咐的上去爭戰。』於是你們各人帶著兵器，爭先上山地去了。“We have sinned against the LORD,” you replied. “We will go up and fight, as the LORD our God has commanded us.” Then each of you put on his weapons of war, thinking it easy to go up into the hill country.

⁴²耶和華吩咐我說：『你對他們說：不要上去，也不要爭戰；因我不在你們中間，恐怕你們被仇敵殺敗了。』But the LORD said to me, “Tell them not to go up and fight, for I am not with you to keep you from defeat by your enemies.”

⁴³我就告訴了你們，你們卻不聽從，竟違背耶和華的命令，擅自上山地去了。So I spoke to you, but you would not listen. You rebelled against the command of the LORD and presumptuously went up into the hill country.

⁴⁴住那山地的亞摩利人就出來攻擊你們，追趕你們，如蜂擁一般，在西珥殺退你們，直到何珥瑪。Then the Amorites who lived in the hills came out against you and chased you like a swarm of bees. They routed you from Seir all the way to Hormah.

⁴⁵你們便回來，在耶和華面前哭號；耶和華卻不聽你們的聲音，也不向你們側耳。And you returned and wept before the LORD, but He would not listen to your voice or give ear to you.

⁴⁶於是你們在加低斯住了許多日子。」For this reason you stayed in Kadesh for a long time—a very long time.

不可與以掃的子孫爭戰

¹「此後，我們轉回，從紅海的路往曠野去，是照耶和華所吩咐我的。我們在西珥山繞行了許多日子。Then we turned back and headed for the wilderness by way of the Red Sea, as the LORD had instructed me, and for many days we wandered around Mount Seir.

²耶和華對我說：At this time the LORD said to me,

³『你們繞行這山的日子夠了，要轉向北去。“You have been wandering around this hill country long enough; turn to the north

⁴你吩咐百姓說：你們弟兄以掃的子孫住在西珥，你們要經過他們的境界。他們必懼怕你們，所以你們要分外謹慎。and command the people: ‘You will pass through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, so you must be very careful.

⁵不可與他們爭戰；他們的地，連腳掌可踏之處，我都不給你們，因我已將西珥山賜給以掃為業。Do not provoke them, for I will not give you any of their land, not even a footprint, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as his possession.

⁶你們要用錢向他們買糧吃，也要用錢向他們買水喝。You are to pay them in silver for the food you eat and the water you drink.’”

⁷因為耶和華─你的　神在你手裡所辦的一切事上已賜福與你。你走這大曠野，他都知道了。這四十年，耶和華─你的　神常與你同在，故此你一無所缺。』Indeed, the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. The LORD your God has been with you these forty years, and you have lacked nothing.

不可擾害摩押人

⁸「於是，我們離了我們弟兄以掃子孫所住的西珥，從亞拉巴的路，經過以拉他、以旬‧迦別，轉向摩押曠野的路去。So we passed by our brothers, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. We turned away from the Arabah road, which comes up from Elath and Ezion-geber, and traveled along the road of the Wilderness of Moab.

⁹耶和華吩咐我說：『不可擾害摩押人，也不可與他們爭戰。他們的地，我不賜給你為業，因我已將亞珥賜給羅得的子孫為業。』Then the LORD said to me, “Do not harass the Moabites or provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, because I have given Ar to the descendants of Lot as their possession.”

¹⁰（先前，有以米人住在那裡，民數眾多，身體高大，像亞衲人一樣。(The Emites used to live there, a people great and many, as tall as the Anakites.

¹¹這以米人像亞衲人；也算為利乏音人；摩押人稱他們為以米人。Like the Anakites, they were also regarded as Rephaim, though the Moabites called them Emites.

¹²先前，何利人也住在西珥，但以掃的子孫將他們除滅，得了他們的地，接著居住，就如以色列在耶和華賜給他為業之地所行的一樣。）The Horites used to live in Seir, but the descendants of Esau drove them out. They destroyed the Horites from before them and settled in their place, just as Israel did in the land that the LORD gave them as their possession.)

過撒烈溪：舊世代已經滅盡

¹³現在，起來過撒烈溪！於是我們過了撒烈溪。“Now arise and cross over the Brook of Zered.” So we crossed over the Brook of Zered.

¹⁴自從離開加低斯‧巴尼亞，到過了撒烈溪的時候，共有三十八年，等那世代的兵丁都從營中滅盡，正如耶和華向他們所起的誓。The time we spent traveling from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed over the Brook of Zered was thirty-eight years, until that entire generation of fighting men had perished from the camp, as the LORD had sworn to them.

¹⁵耶和華的手也攻擊他們，將他們從營中除滅，直到滅盡。Indeed, the LORD’s hand was against them, to eliminate them from the camp, until they had all perished.

不可擾害亞捫人

¹⁶「兵丁從民中都滅盡死亡以後，Now when all the fighting men among the people had died,

¹⁷耶和華吩咐我說：the LORD said to me,

¹⁸『你今天要從摩押的境界亞珥經過，“Today you are going to cross the border of Moab at Ar.

¹⁹走近亞捫人之地，不可擾害他們，也不可與他們爭戰。亞捫人的地，我不賜給你們為業，因我已將那地賜給羅得的子孫為業。』But when you get close to the Ammonites, do not harass them or provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the Ammonites. I have given it to the descendants of Lot as their possession.”

²⁰（那地也算為利乏音人之地，先前利乏音人住在那裡，亞捫人稱他們為散送冥。(That too was regarded as the land of the Rephaim, who used to live there, though the Ammonites called them Zamzummites.

²¹那民眾多，身體高大，像亞衲人一樣，但耶和華從亞捫人面前除滅他們，亞捫人就得了他們的地，接著居住。They were a people great and many, as tall as the Anakites. But the LORD destroyed them from before the Ammonites, who drove them out and settled in their place,

²²正如耶和華從前為住西珥的以掃子孫將何利人從他們面前除滅、他們得了何利人的地、接著居住一樣，直到今日。just as He had done for the descendants of Esau who lived in Seir, when He destroyed the Horites from before them. They drove them out and have lived in their place to this day.

²³從迦斐託出來的迦斐託人將先前住在鄉村直到迦薩的亞衛人除滅，接著居住。）And the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza, were destroyed by the Caphtorites, who came out of Caphtor and settled in their place.)

兵丁戲弄耶穌

¹⁶兵丁把耶穌帶進衙門院裡，叫齊了全營的兵。Then the soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called the whole company together.

¹⁷他們給他穿上紫袍，又用荊棘編做冠冕給他戴上，They dressed Him in a purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and set it on His head.

¹⁸就慶賀他說：「恭喜，猶太人的王啊！」And they began to salute Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”

¹⁹又拿一根葦子打他的頭，吐唾沫在他臉上，屈膝拜他。They kept striking His head with a staff and spitting on Him. And they knelt down and bowed before Him.

²⁰戲弄完了，就給他脫了紫袍，仍穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要釘十字架。After they had mocked Him, they removed the purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to crucify Him.

西門替耶穌背十字架

²¹有一個古利奈人西門，就是亞歷山大和魯孚的父親，從鄉下來，經過那地方，他們就勉強他同去，好背著耶穌的十字架。Now Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and the soldiers forced him to carry the cross of Jesus.

在各各他被釘十字架

²²他們帶耶穌到了各各他地方（各各他翻出來就是髑髏地），They brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha, which means The Place of the Skull.

²³拿沒藥調和的酒給耶穌，他卻不受。There they offered Him wine mixed with myrrh, but He did not take it.

²⁴於是將他釘在十字架上，拈鬮分他的衣服，看是誰得甚麼。And they crucified Him. They also divided His garments by casting lots to decide what each of them would take.

²⁵釘他在十字架上是巳初的時候。It was the third hour when they crucified Him.

²⁶在上面有他的罪狀，寫的是：「猶太人的王。」And the charge inscribed against Him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

²⁷他們又把兩個強盜和他同釘十字架，一個在右邊，一個在左邊。（有古卷加：Along with Jesus, they crucified two robbers, one on His right and one on His left.

²⁸這就應了經上的話說：他被列在罪犯之中。）（BSB 英譯本沒有這一節）

眾人譏誚耶穌

²⁹從那裡經過的人辱罵他，搖著頭說：「咳！你這拆毀聖殿、三日又建造起來的，And those who passed by heaped abuse on Him, shaking their heads and saying, “Aha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,

³⁰可以救自己，從十字架上下來吧！」come down from the cross and save Yourself!”

³¹祭司長和文士也是這樣戲弄他，彼此說：「他救了別人，不能救自己。In the same way, the chief priests and scribes mocked Him among themselves, saying, “He saved others, but He cannot save Himself!

³²以色列的王基督，現在可以從十字架上下來，叫我們看見，就信了。」那和他同釘的人也是譏誚他。Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” And even those who were crucified with Him berated Him.

遍地黑暗，耶穌斷氣

³³從午正到申初，遍地都黑暗了。From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.

³⁴申初的時候，耶穌大聲喊著說：「以羅伊！以羅伊！拉馬撒巴各大尼？」（翻出來就是：我的　神！我的　神！為甚麼離棄我？）At the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

³⁵旁邊站著的人，有的聽見就說：「看哪，他叫以利亞呢！」When some of those standing nearby heard this, they said, “Behold, He is calling Elijah.”

³⁶有一個人跑去，把海絨蘸滿了醋，綁在葦子上，送給他喝，說：「且等著，看以利亞來不來把他取下。」And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine. He put it on a reed and held it up for Jesus to drink, saying, “Leave Him alone. Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”

³⁷耶穌大聲喊叫，氣就斷了。But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last.

³⁸殿裡的幔子從上到下裂為兩半。And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

³⁹對面站著的百夫長看見耶穌這樣喊叫（有古卷沒有喊叫二字）斷氣，就說：「這人真是　神的兒子！」When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

婦女們遠遠觀看

⁴⁰還有些婦女遠遠地觀看；內中有抹大拉的馬利亞，又有小雅各和約西的母親馬利亞，並有撒羅米，And there were also women watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.

⁴¹就是耶穌在加利利的時候，跟隨他、服事他的那些人，還有同耶穌上耶路撒冷的好些婦女在那裡觀看。These women had followed Jesus and ministered to Him while He was in Galilee, and there were many other women who had come up to Jerusalem with Him.

約瑟安葬耶穌

⁴²到了晚上，因為這是預備日，就是安息日的前一日，Now it was already evening. Since it was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath),

⁴³有亞利馬太的約瑟前來，他是尊貴的議士，也是等候　神國的。他放膽進去見彼拉多，求耶穌的身體；Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent Council member who himself was waiting for the kingdom of God, boldly went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.

⁴⁴彼拉多詫異耶穌已經死了，便叫百夫長來，問他耶穌死了久不久。Pilate was surprised to hear that Jesus was already dead, so he summoned the centurion to ask if this was so.

⁴⁵既從百夫長得知實情，就把耶穌的屍首賜給約瑟。When Pilate had confirmed it with the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

⁴⁶約瑟買了細麻布，把耶穌取下來，用細麻布裹好，安放在磐石中鑿出來的墳墓裡，又滾過一塊石頭來擋住墓門。So Joseph bought a linen cloth, took down the body of Jesus, wrapped it in the cloth, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.

⁴⁷抹大拉的馬利亞和約西的母親馬利亞都看見安放他的地方。Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where His body was placed.
