向米甸人報仇

¹耶和華吩咐摩西說：And the LORD said to Moses,

²「你要在米甸人身上報以色列人的仇，後來要歸到你列祖（原文是本民）那裡。」“Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites. After that, you will be gathered to your people.”

³摩西吩咐百姓說：「要從你們中間叫人帶兵器出去攻擊米甸，好在米甸人身上為耶和華報仇。So Moses told the people, “Arm some of your men for war, that they may go against the Midianites and execute the LORD’s vengeance on them.

⁴從以色列眾支派中，每支派要打發一千人去打仗。」Send into battle a thousand men from each tribe of Israel.”

⁵於是從以色列千萬人中，每支派交出一千人，共一萬二千人，帶著兵器預備打仗。So a thousand men were recruited from each tribe of Israel—twelve thousand armed for war.

⁶摩西就打發每支派的一千人去打仗，並打發祭司以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈同去；非尼哈手裡拿著聖所的器皿和吹大聲的號筒。And Moses sent the thousand from each tribe into battle, along with Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, who took with him the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for signaling.

殺米甸五王和巴蘭

⁷他們就照耶和華所吩咐摩西的，與米甸人打仗，殺了所有的男丁。Then they waged war against Midian, as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed every male.

⁸在所殺的人中，殺了米甸的五王，就是以未、利金、蘇珥、戶珥、利巴，又用刀殺了比珥的兒子巴蘭。Among the slain were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba—the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.

⁹以色列人擄了米甸人的婦女孩子，並將他們的牲畜、羊群，和所有的財物都奪了來，當作擄物，The Israelites captured the Midianite women and their children, and they plundered all their herds, flocks, and goods.

¹⁰又用火焚燒他們所住的城邑和所有的營寨，Then they burned all the cities where the Midianites had lived, as well as all their encampments,

¹¹把一切所奪的、所擄的，連人帶牲畜都帶了去，and carried away all the plunder and spoils, both people and animals.

¹²將所擄的人，所奪的牲畜、財物，都帶到摩押平原，在約旦河邊與耶利哥相對的營盤，交給摩西和祭司以利亞撒，並以色列的會眾。They brought the captives, spoils, and plunder to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of Israel at the camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.

摩西向軍長發怒

¹³摩西和祭司以利亞撒，並會眾一切的首領，都出到營外迎接他們。And Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the congregation went to meet them outside the camp.

¹⁴摩西向打仗回來的軍長，就是千夫長、百夫長，發怒，But Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who were returning from the battle.

¹⁵對他們說：「你們要存留這一切婦女的活命嗎？“Have you spared all the women?” he asked them.

¹⁶這些婦女因巴蘭的計謀，叫以色列人在毘珥的事上得罪耶和華，以致耶和華的會眾遭遇瘟疫。“Look, these women caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to turn unfaithfully against the LORD at Peor, so that the plague struck the congregation of the LORD.

¹⁷所以，你們要把一切的男孩和所有已嫁的女子都殺了。So now, kill all the boys, as well as every woman who has had relations with a man,

¹⁸但女孩子中，凡沒有出嫁的，你們都可以存留她的活命。but spare for yourselves every girl who has never had relations with a man.

戰後的潔淨

¹⁹你們要在營外駐紮七日；凡殺了人的，和一切摸了被殺的，並你們所擄來的人口，第三日，第七日，都要潔淨自己，All of you who have killed a person or touched the dead are to remain outside the camp for seven days. On the third day and the seventh day you are to purify both yourselves and your captives.

²⁰也要因一切的衣服、皮物、山羊毛織的物，和各樣的木器，潔淨自己。」And purify every garment and leather good, everything made of goat’s hair, and every article of wood.”

²¹祭司以利亞撒對打仗回來的兵丁說：「耶和華所吩咐摩西律法中的條例乃是這樣：Then Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle, “This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded Moses:

²²金、銀、銅、鐵、錫、鉛，Only the gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, and lead—

²³凡能見火的，你們要叫它經火就為潔淨，然而還要用除污穢的水潔淨它；凡不能見火的，你們要叫它過水。everything that can withstand the fire—must be put through the fire, and it will be clean. But it must still be purified with the water of purification. And everything that cannot withstand the fire must pass through the water.

²⁴第七日，你們要洗衣服，就為潔淨，然後可以進營。」On the seventh day you are to wash your clothes, and you will be clean. After that you may enter the camp.”

平分擄物

²⁵耶和華曉諭摩西說：The LORD said to Moses,

²⁶「你和祭司以利亞撒，並會眾的各族長，要計算所擄來的人口和牲畜的總數。“You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the congregation are to take a count of what was captured, both of man and beast.

²⁷把所擄來的分作兩半：一半歸與出去打仗的精兵，一半歸與全會眾。Then divide the captives between the troops who went out to battle and the rest of the congregation.

²⁸又要從出去打仗所得的人口、牛、驢、羊群中，每五百取一，作為貢物奉給耶和華。Set aside a tribute for the LORD from what belongs to the soldiers who went into battle: one out of every five hundred, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, or sheep.

²⁹從他們一半之中，要取出來交給祭司以利亞撒，作為耶和華的舉祭。Take it from their half and give it to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the LORD.

³⁰從以色列人的一半之中，就是從人口、牛、驢、羊群、各樣牲畜中，每五十取一，交給看守耶和華帳幕的利未人。」From the Israelites’ half, take one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep, or other animals, and give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.”

³¹於是摩西和祭司以利亞撒照耶和華所吩咐摩西的行了。So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD had commanded Moses,

³²除了兵丁所奪的財物以外，所擄來的：羊六十七萬五千隻；and this plunder remained from the spoils the soldiers had taken: 675,000 sheep,

³³牛七萬二千隻；72,000 cattle,

³⁴驢六萬一千匹；61,000 donkeys,

³⁵女人共三萬二千口，都是沒有出嫁的。and 32,000 women who had not slept with a man.

³⁶出去打仗之人的分，就是他們所得的那一半，共計羊三十三萬七千五百隻，This was the half portion for those who had gone to war: 337,500 sheep,

³⁷從其中歸耶和華為貢物的，有六百七十五隻；including a tribute to the LORD of 675,

³⁸牛三萬六千隻，從其中歸耶和華為貢物的，有七十二隻；36,000 cattle, including a tribute to the LORD of 72,

³⁹驢三萬零五百匹，從其中歸耶和華為貢物的，有六十一匹；30,500 donkeys, including a tribute to the LORD of 61,

⁴⁰人一萬六千口，從其中歸耶和華的，有三十二口。and 16,000 people, including a tribute to the LORD of 32.

⁴¹摩西把貢物，就是歸與耶和華的舉祭，交給祭司以利亞撒，是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as an offering for the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

⁴²以色列人所得的那一半，就是摩西從打仗的人取來分給他們的。From the Israelites’ half, which Moses had set apart from the men who had gone to war,

⁴³（會眾的那一半有：羊三十三萬七千五百隻；this half belonged to the congregation: 337,500 sheep,

⁴⁴牛三萬六千隻；36,000 cattle,

⁴⁵驢三萬零五百匹；30,500 donkeys,

⁴⁶人一萬六千口。）and 16,000 people.

⁴⁷無論是人口是牲畜，摩西每五十取一，交給看守耶和華帳幕的利未人，是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。From the Israelites’ half, Moses took one out of every fifty persons and animals and gave them to the Levites who kept charge of the tabernacle of the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.

軍長獻上金器

⁴⁸帶領千軍的各軍長，就是千夫長、百夫長，都近前來見摩西，Then the officers who were over the units of the army—the commanders of thousands and of hundreds—approached Moses

⁴⁹對他說：「僕人權下的兵已經計算總數，並不短少一人。and said, “Your servants have counted the soldiers under our command, and not one of us is missing.

⁵⁰如今我們將各人所得的金器，就是腳鍊子、鐲子、打印的戒指、耳環、手釧，都送來為耶和華的供物，好在耶和華面前為我們的生命贖罪。」So we have brought to the LORD an offering of the gold articles each man acquired—armlets, bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces—to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD.”

⁵¹摩西和祭司以利亞撒就收了他們的金子，都是打成的器皿。So Moses and Eleazar the priest received from them all the articles made out of gold.

⁵²千夫長、百夫長所獻給耶和華為舉祭的金子共有一萬六千七百五十舍客勒。All the gold that the commanders of thousands and of hundreds presented as an offering to the LORD weighed 16,750 shekels.

⁵³各兵丁都為自己奪了財物。Each of the soldiers had taken plunder for himself.

⁵⁴摩西和祭司以利亞撒收了千夫長、百夫長的金子，就帶進會幕，在耶和華面前作為以色列人的紀念。And Moses and Eleazar the priest received the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds and brought it into the Tent of Meeting as a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD.

預言門徒都要跌倒

²⁷耶穌對他們說：「你們都要跌倒了，因為經上記著說：我要擊打牧人，羊就分散了。Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

²⁸但我復活以後，要在你們以先往加利利去。」But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

預言彼得三次不認主

²⁹彼得說：「眾人雖然跌倒，我總不能。」Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I never will.”

³⁰耶穌對他說：「我實在告訴你，就在今天夜裡，雞叫兩遍以先，你要三次不認我。」“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”

³¹彼得卻極力地說：「我就是必須和你同死，也總不能不認你。」眾門徒都是這樣說。But Peter kept insisting, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the others said the same thing.

在客西馬尼禱告

³²他們來到一個地方，名叫客西馬尼。耶穌對門徒說：「你們坐在這裡，等我禱告。」Then they came to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus told His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

³³於是帶著彼得、雅各、約翰同去，就驚恐起來，極其難過，He took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be deeply troubled and distressed.

³⁴對他們說：「我心裡甚是憂傷，幾乎要死；你們在這裡等候，警醒。」Then He said to them, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.”

³⁵他就稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說：「倘若可行，便叫那時候過去。」Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour would pass from Him.

³⁶他說：「阿爸！父啊！在你凡事都能；求你將這杯撤去。然而，不要從我的意思，只要從你的意思。」“Abba, Father,” He said, “all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will.”

門徒睡著了

³⁷耶穌回來，見他們睡著了，就對彼得說：「西門，你睡覺嗎？不能警醒片時嗎？Then Jesus returned and found them sleeping. “Simon, are you asleep?” He asked. “Were you not able to keep watch for one hour?

³⁸總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

³⁹耶穌又去禱告，說的話還是與先前一樣，Again He went away and prayed, saying the same thing.

⁴⁰又來見他們睡著了，因為他們的眼睛甚是困倦；他們也不知道怎麼回答。And again Jesus returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. And they did not know what to answer Him.

時候到了

⁴¹第三次來，對他們說：「現在你們仍然睡覺安歇吧（吧：或譯嗎？）！夠了，時候到了。看哪，人子被賣在罪人手裡了。When Jesus returned the third time, He said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

⁴²起來！我們走吧。看哪，那賣我的人近了！」Rise, let us go. See, My betrayer is approaching!”
