神的兒子們和人的女子

¹當人在世上多起來、又生女兒的時候，Now when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them,

²神的兒子們看見人的女子美貌，就隨意挑選，娶來為妻。the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose.

³耶和華說：「人既屬乎血氣，我的靈就不永遠住在他裡面；然而他的日子還可到一百二十年。」So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days shall be 120 years.”

⁴那時候有偉人在地上，後來　神的兒子們和人的女子們交合生子；那就是上古英武有名的人。The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and afterward as well—when the sons of God had relations with the daughters of men. And they bore them children who became the mighty men of old, men of renown.

神後悔造人

⁵耶和華見人在地上罪惡很大，終日所思想的盡都是惡，Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time.

⁶耶和華就後悔造人在地上，心中憂傷。And the LORD regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

⁷耶和華說：「我要將所造的人和走獸，並昆蟲，以及空中的飛鳥，都從地上除滅，因為我造他們後悔了。」So the LORD said, “I will blot out man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—every man and beast and crawling creature and bird of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them.”

⁸惟有挪亞在耶和華眼前蒙恩。Noah, however, found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

挪亞與神同行

⁹挪亞的後代記在下面。挪亞是個義人，在當時的世代是個完全人。挪亞與　神同行。This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God.

¹⁰挪亞生了三個兒子，就是閃、含、雅弗。And Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

¹¹世界在　神面前敗壞，地上滿了強暴。Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and full of violence.

¹²神觀看世界，見是敗壞了；凡有血氣的人在地上都敗壞了行為。And God looked upon the earth and saw that it was corrupt; for all living creatures on the earth had corrupted their ways.

吩咐造方舟

¹³神就對挪亞說：「凡有血氣的人，他的盡頭已經來到我面前；因為地上滿了他們的強暴，我要把他們和地一併毀滅。Then God said to Noah, “The end of all living creatures has come before Me, because through them the earth is full of violence. Now behold, I will destroy both them and the earth.

¹⁴你要用歌斐木造一隻方舟，分一間一間地造，裡外抹上松香。Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark and coat it with pitch inside and out.

¹⁵方舟的造法乃是這樣：要長三百肘，寬五十肘，高三十肘。And this is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.

¹⁶方舟上邊要留透光處，高一肘。方舟的門要開在旁邊。方舟要分上、中、下三層。You are to make a roof for the ark, finish its walls a cubit from the top, place a door in the side of the ark, and build lower, middle, and upper decks.

¹⁷看哪，我要使洪水氾濫在地上，毀滅天下；凡地上有血肉、有氣息的活物，無一不死。And behold, I will bring floodwaters upon the earth to destroy every creature under the heavens that has the breath of life. Everything on the earth will perish.

¹⁸我卻要與你立約；你同你的妻，與兒子兒婦，都要進入方舟。But I will establish My covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.

¹⁹凡有血肉的活物，每樣兩個，一公一母，你要帶進方舟，好在你那裡保全生命。And you are to bring two of every living creature into the ark—male and female—to keep them alive with you.

²⁰飛鳥各從其類，牲畜各從其類，地上的昆蟲各從其類，每樣兩個，要到你那裡，好保全生命。Two of every kind of bird and animal and crawling creature will come to you to be kept alive.

²¹你要拿各樣食物積蓄起來，好作你和牠們的食物。」You are also to take for yourself every kind of food that is eaten and gather it as food for yourselves and for the animals.”

²²挪亞就這樣行。凡　神所吩咐的，他都照樣行了。So Noah did everything precisely as God had commanded him.

進入方舟

¹耶和華對挪亞說：「你和你的全家都要進入方舟；因為在這世代中，我見你在我面前是義人。Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

²凡潔淨的畜類，你要帶七公七母；不潔淨的畜類，你要帶一公一母；You are to take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate; a pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate;

³空中的飛鳥也要帶七公七母，可以留種，活在全地上；and seven pairs of every kind of bird of the air, male and female, to preserve their offspring on the face of all the earth.

⁴因為再過七天，我要降雨在地上四十晝夜，把我所造的各種活物都從地上除滅。」For seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living thing I have made.”

⁵挪亞就遵著耶和華所吩咐的行了。And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him.

⁶當洪水氾濫在地上的時候，挪亞整六百歲。Now Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth.

⁷挪亞就同他的妻和兒子兒婦都進入方舟，躲避洪水。And Noah and his wife, with his sons and their wives, entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

⁸潔淨的畜類和不潔淨的畜類，飛鳥並地上一切的昆蟲，The clean and unclean animals, the birds, and everything that crawls along the ground

⁹都是一對一對地，有公有母，到挪亞那裡進入方舟，正如　神所吩咐挪亞的。came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.

¹⁰過了那七天，洪水氾濫在地上。And after seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth.

洪水氾濫

¹¹當挪亞六百歲，二月十七日那一天，大淵的泉源都裂開了，天上的窗戶也敞開了，In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

¹²四十晝夜降大雨在地上。And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

¹³正當那日，挪亞和他三個兒子閃、含、雅弗，並挪亞的妻子和三個兒婦，都進入方舟。On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons—

¹⁴他們和百獸，各從其類，一切牲畜，各從其類，爬在地上的昆蟲，各從其類，一切禽鳥，各從其類，都進入方舟。they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature.

¹⁵凡有血肉、有氣息的活物，都一對一對地到挪亞那裡，進入方舟。They came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two of every creature with the breath of life.

¹⁶凡有血肉進入方舟的，都是有公有母，正如　神所吩咐挪亞的。耶和華就把他關在方舟裡頭。And they entered, the male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.

水勢浩大，淹沒全地

¹⁷洪水氾濫在地上四十天，水往上長，把方舟從地上漂起。For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth.

¹⁸水勢浩大，在地上大大地往上長，方舟在水面上漂來漂去。So the waters continued to surge and rise greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.

¹⁹水勢在地上極其浩大，天下的高山都淹沒了。Finally, the waters completely prevailed upon the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered.

²⁰水勢比山高過十五肘，山嶺都淹沒了。The waters rose and covered the mountaintops to a depth of fifteen cubits.

²¹凡在地上有血肉的動物，就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸，和爬在地上的昆蟲，以及所有的人，都死了。And every living thing that moved upon the earth perished—birds, livestock, animals, every creature that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind.

²²凡在旱地上、鼻孔有氣息的生靈都死了。Of all that was on dry land, everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.

²³凡地上各類的活物，連人帶牲畜、昆蟲，以及空中的飛鳥，都從地上除滅了，只留下挪亞和那些與他同在方舟裡的。And every living thing on the face of the earth was destroyed—man and livestock, crawling creatures and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah and those with him in the ark remained.

²⁴水勢浩大，在地上共一百五十天。And the waters prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.

神記念挪亞

¹神記念挪亞和挪亞方舟裡的一切走獸牲畜。　神叫風吹地，水勢漸落。But God remembered Noah and all the animals and livestock that were with him in the ark. And God sent a wind over the earth, and the waters began to subside.

²淵源和天上的窗戶都閉塞了，天上的大雨也止住了。The springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained.

³水從地上漸退。過了一百五十天，水就漸消。The waters receded steadily from the earth, and after 150 days the waters had gone down.

⁴七月十七日，方舟停在亞拉臘山上。On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

⁵水又漸消，到十月初一日，山頂都現出來了。And the waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.

放出烏鴉和鴿子

⁶過了四十天，挪亞開了方舟的窗戶，After forty days Noah opened the window he had made in the ark

⁷放出一隻烏鴉去；那烏鴉飛來飛去，直到地上的水都乾了。and sent out a raven. It kept flying back and forth until the waters had dried up from the earth.

⁸他又放出一隻鴿子去，要看看水從地上退了沒有。Then Noah sent out a dove to see if the waters had receded from the surface of the ground.

⁹但遍地上都是水，鴿子找不著落腳之地，就回到方舟挪亞那裡，挪亞伸手把鴿子接進方舟來。But the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him in the ark, because the waters were still covering the surface of all the earth. So he reached out his hand and brought her back inside the ark.

¹⁰他又等了七天，再把鴿子從方舟放出去。Noah waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark.

¹¹到了晚上，鴿子回到他那裡，嘴裡叼著一個新擰下來的橄欖葉子，挪亞就知道地上的水退了。And behold, the dove returned to him in the evening with a freshly plucked olive leaf in her beak. So Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth.

¹²他又等了七天，放出鴿子去，鴿子就不再回來了。And Noah waited seven more days and sent out the dove again, but this time she did not return to him.

地上的水乾了

¹³到挪亞六百零一歲，正月初一日，地上的水都乾了。挪亞撤去方舟的蓋觀看，便見地面上乾了。In Noah’s six hundred and first year, on the first day of the first month, the waters had dried up from the earth. So Noah removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry.

¹⁴到了二月二十七日，地就都乾了。By the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the earth was fully dry.

出方舟

¹⁵神對挪亞說：Then God said to Noah,

¹⁶「你和你的妻子、兒子、兒婦都可以出方舟。“Come out of the ark, you and your wife, along with your sons and their wives.

¹⁷在你那裡凡有血肉的活物，就是飛鳥、牲畜，和一切爬在地上的昆蟲，都要帶出來，叫牠在地上多多滋生，大大興旺。」Bring out all the living creatures that are with you—birds, livestock, and everything that crawls upon the ground—so that they can spread out over the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon it.”

¹⁸於是挪亞和他的妻子、兒子、兒婦都出來了。So Noah came out, along with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives.

¹⁹一切走獸、昆蟲、飛鳥，和地上所有的動物，各從其類，也都出了方舟。Every living creature, every creeping thing, and every bird—everything that moves upon the earth—came out of the ark, kind by kind.

挪亞築壇，神的應許

²⁰挪亞為耶和華築了一座壇，拿各類潔淨的牲畜、飛鳥獻在壇上為燔祭。Then Noah built an altar to the LORD. And taking from every kind of clean animal and clean bird, he offered burnt offerings on the altar.

²¹耶和華聞那馨香之氣，就心裡說：「我不再因人的緣故咒詛地（人從小時心裡懷著惡念），也不再按著我才行的滅各種的活物了。When the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, He said in His heart, “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from his youth. And never again will I destroy all living creatures as I have done.

²²地還存留的時候，稼穡、寒暑、冬夏、晝夜就永不停息了。」As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall never cease.”

施洗約翰在曠野傳道

¹那時，有施洗的約翰出來，在猶太的曠野傳道，說：In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea

²「天國近了，你們應當悔改！」and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

³這人就是先知以賽亞所說的。他說：「在曠野有人聲喊著說：預備主的道，修直他的路！」This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”

約翰的衣著和食物

⁴這約翰身穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。John wore a garment of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.

⁵那時，耶路撒冷和猶太全地，並約旦河一帶地方的人，都出去到約翰那裡，People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region around the Jordan.

⁶承認他們的罪，在約旦河裡受他的洗。Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

要結出與悔改相稱的果子

⁷約翰看見許多法利賽人和撒都該人也來受洗，就對他們說：「毒蛇的種類！誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢？But when John saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his place of baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

⁸你們要結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance.

⁹不要自己心裡說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，　神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

¹⁰現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裡。The axe lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

那在我以後來的

¹¹我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改。但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給他提鞋也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

¹²他手裡拿著簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裡，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

耶穌受洗

¹³當下，耶穌從加利利來到約旦河，見了約翰，要受他的洗。At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.

¹⁴約翰想要攔住他，說：「我當受你的洗，你反倒上我這裡來嗎？」But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”

¹⁵耶穌回答說：「你暫且許我，因為我們理當這樣盡諸般的義（或譯：禮）。」於是約翰許了他。“Let it be so now,” Jesus replied. “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness in this way.” Then John permitted Him.

聖靈降下，天上的聲音

¹⁶耶穌受了洗，隨即從水裡上來。天忽然為他開了，他就看見　神的靈彷彿鴿子降下，落在他身上。As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him.

¹⁷從天上有聲音說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”
