1摩西娶了女子为妻。米利暗和亚伦因他所娶的古实女子就毁谤他，说：Then Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of the Cushite woman he had married, for he had taken a Cushite wife.
2“难道耶和华单与摩西说话，不也与我们说话吗？”这话耶和华听见了。“Does the LORD speak only through Moses?” they said. “Does He not also speak through us?” And the LORD heard this.
3（摩西为人极其谦和，胜过世上的众人。）Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.
4耶和华忽然对摩西、亚伦、米利暗说：“你们三个人都出来，到会幕这里。”他们三个人就出来了。And suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “You three, come out to the Tent of Meeting.” So the three went out,
5耶和华在云柱中降临，站在会幕门口，召亚伦和米利暗，二人就出来了。and the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the Tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them had stepped forward,
6耶和华说：“你们且听我的话：你们中间若有先知，我—耶和华必在异象中向他显现，在梦中与他说话。He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream.
7我的仆人摩西不是这样；他是在我全家尽忠的。But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house.
8我要与他面对面说话，乃是明说，不用谜语，并且他必见我的形象。你们毁谤我的仆人摩西，为何不惧怕呢？”I speak with him face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you unafraid to speak against My servant Moses?”
9耶和华就向他们二人发怒而去。So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed.
10云彩从会幕上挪开了，不料，米利暗长了大麻风，有雪那样白。亚伦一看米利暗长了大麻风，As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly Miriam became leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she was leprous,
11就对摩西说：“我主啊，求你不要因我们愚昧犯罪，便将这罪加在我们身上。and said to Moses, “My lord, please do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.
12求你不要使她像那出母腹、肉已半烂的死胎。”Please do not let her be like a stillborn infant whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
13于是摩西哀求耶和华说：“ 神啊，求你医治她！”So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her!”
14耶和华对摩西说：“她父亲若在她脸上，她岂不蒙羞七天吗？现在要把她在营外七天，然后才可以领她进来。”But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.”
15于是米利暗关锁在营外七天。百姓没有行路，直等到把米利暗领进来。So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.
16以后百姓从哈洗录起行，在巴兰的旷野安营。After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.
