1那时，又有许多人聚集，并没有什么吃的。耶稣叫门徒来，说：In those days the crowd once again became very large, and they had nothing to eat. Jesus called the disciples to Him and said,
2“我怜悯这众人；因为他们同我在这里已经三天，也没有吃的了。“I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat.
3我若打发他们饿着回家，就必在路上困乏，因为其中有从远处来的。”If I send them home hungry, they will faint along the way. For some of them have come a great distance.”
4门徒回答说：“在这野地，从哪里能得饼，叫这些人吃饱呢？”His disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could anyone find enough bread to feed all these people?”
5耶稣问他们说：“你们有多少饼？”他们说：“七个。”“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied.
6他吩咐众人坐在地上，就拿着这七个饼祝谢了，擘开，递给门徒，叫他们摆开，门徒就摆在众人面前。And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then He took the seven loaves, gave thanks and broke them, and gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And they distributed them to the crowd.
7又有几条小鱼；耶稣祝了福，就吩咐也摆在众人面前。They also had a few small fish, and Jesus blessed them and ordered that these be set before them as well.
8众人都吃，并且吃饱了，收拾剩下的零碎，有七。The people ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
9人数约有四千。耶稣打发他们走了，And about four thousand men were present. And when Jesus had dismissed the crowd,
10随即同门徒上船，来到境内。He immediately got into the boat with His disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.
11法利赛人出来盘问耶稣，求他从天上显个神迹给他们看，想要试探他。Then the Pharisees came and began to argue with Jesus, testing Him by demanding from Him a sign from heaven.
12耶稣心里，说：“这世代为什么求神迹呢？我实在告诉你们，没有神迹给这世代看。”Jesus sighed deeply in His spirit and said, “Why does this generation demand a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”
13他就离开他们，又上船往海那边去了。And He left them, got back into the boat, and crossed to the other side.
14门徒忘了带饼；在船上除了一个饼，没有别的食物。Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.
15耶稣嘱咐他们说：“你们要谨慎，防备法利赛人的和的酵。”“Watch out!” He cautioned them. “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of Herod.”
16他们彼此议论说：“这是因为我们没有饼吧。”So they began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread.
17耶稣看出来，就说：“你们为什么因为没有饼就议论呢？你们还不，还不明白吗？你们的心还是吗？Aware of their conversation, Jesus asked them, “Why are you debating about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Do you have such hard hearts?
18你们有眼睛，看不见吗？有耳朵，听不见吗？也不记得吗？‘Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear?’ And do you not remember?
19我擘开那五个饼分给五千人，你们收拾的零碎装满了多少篮子呢？”他们说：“十二个。”When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Twelve,” they answered.
20“又擘开那七个饼分给四千人，你们收拾的零碎装满了多少筐子呢？”他们说：“七个。”“And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Seven,” they said.
21耶稣说：“你们还是不明白吗？”Then He asked them, “Do you still not understand?”
22他们来到，有人带一个瞎子来，求耶稣摸他。When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
23耶稣拉着瞎子的手，领他到村外，就吐唾沫在他眼睛上，按手在他身上，问他说：“你看见什么了？”So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then He spit on the man’s eyes and placed His hands on him. “Can you see anything?” He asked.
24他就抬头一看，说：“我看见人了；他们好像树木，并且行走。”The man looked up and said, “I can see the people, but they look like trees walking around.”
25随后又按手在他眼睛上，他一看，就复了原，样样都看得清楚了。Once again Jesus placed His hands on the man’s eyes, and when he opened them his sight was restored, and he could see everything clearly.
26耶稣打发他回家，说：“连这村子你也不要进去。”Jesus sent him home and said, “Do not go back into the village.”
27耶稣和门徒出去，往·腓立比村庄去；在路上问门徒说：“人说我是谁？”Then Jesus and His disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way, He questioned His disciples: “Who do people say I am?”
28他们说：“有人说是施洗的约翰；有人说是；又有人说是先知里的一位。”They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”
29又问他们说：“你们说我是谁？”彼得回答说：“你是。”“But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
30耶稣就他们，不要告诉人。And Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about Him.
31从此，他教训他们说：“人子受许多的苦，被长老、，和文士弃绝，并且被杀，过三天复活。”Then He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and after three days rise again.
32耶稣明明地说这话，彼得就拉着他，劝他。He spoke this message quite frankly, and Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him.
33耶稣转过来，看着门徒，就责备彼得说：“撒但，退我后边去吧！因为你不 神的意思，只体贴人的意思。”But Jesus, turning and looking at His disciples, rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
34于是叫众人和门徒来，对他们说：“若有人要跟从我，就当，背起他的十字架来跟从我。Then Jesus called the crowd to Him along with His disciples, and He told them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
35因为，凡要救自己生命（或译：灵魂；下同）的，必丧掉生命；凡为我和福音丧掉生命的，必救了生命。For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it.
36人就是赚得全世界，自己的生命，有什么益处呢？What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
37人还能拿什么换生命呢？Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
38凡在这罪恶的世代，把我和我的道当作可耻的，人子在他父的荣耀里，同圣天使降临的时候，也要把那人当作可耻的。”If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
