1万军之耶和华说：“那日临近，势如烧着的火炉，凡狂傲的和行恶的必如，在那日必被烧尽，根本枝条一无存留。“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble; the day is coming when I will set them ablaze,” says the LORD of Hosts. “Not a root or branch will be left to them.”
2但向你们敬畏我名的人必有公义的日头出现，其（原文是翅膀）有医治之能。你们必出来跳跃如圈里的。“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall.
3你们必践踏恶人；在我所定的日子，他们必如灰尘在你们脚掌之下。这是万军之耶和华说的。Then you will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I am preparing,” says the LORD of Hosts.
4“你们当记念我仆人摩西的律法，就是我在为以色列众人所吩咐他的律例典章。“Remember the law of My servant Moses, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him for all Israel at Horeb.
5“看哪，耶和华大而可畏之日未到以前，我必差遣先知到你们那里去。Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the LORD.
6他必使父亲的心转向儿女，儿女的心转向父亲，免得我来咒诅遍地。”And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.”
