1约伯回答说：Then Job answered:
2无能的人蒙你何等的帮助！膀臂无力的人蒙你何等的拯救！“How you have helped the powerless and saved the arm that is feeble!
3无智慧的人蒙你何等的指教！你向他多显大知识！How you have counseled the unwise and provided fully sound insight!
4你向谁发出言语来？谁的灵从你而出？To whom have you uttered these words? And whose spirit spoke through you?
5在大水和水族以下的战兢。The dead tremble—those beneath the waters and those who dwell in them.
6在 神面前，阴间显露；灭亡也不得遮掩。Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.
7神将铺在空中，将大地悬在虚空；He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth upon nothing.
8将水包在密云中，云却不破裂；He wraps up the waters in His clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their own weight.
9遮蔽他的宝座，将云铺在其上；He covers the face of the full moon, spreading over it His cloud.
10在水面的周围划出界限，直到光明黑暗的交界。He has inscribed a horizon on the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.
11天的柱子因他的斥责震动惊奇。The foundations of heaven quake, astounded at His rebuke.
12他以能力搅动（或译：平静）大海；他借知识打伤拉哈伯，By His power He stirred the sea; by His understanding He shattered Rahab.
13借他的灵使天有妆饰；他的手刺杀。By His breath the skies were cleared; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.
14看哪，这不过是 神工作的些微；我们所听于他的是何等细微的声音！他大能的雷声谁能明透呢？Indeed, these are but the fringes of His ways; how faint is the whisper we hear of Him! Who then can understand the thunder of His power?”
