1亚伯拉罕又娶了一妻，名叫基土拉。Now Abraham had taken another wife, named Keturah,
2基土拉给他生了心兰、约珊、米但、、伊施巴，和书亚。and she bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.
3约珊生了示巴和底但。底但的子孙是亚书利族、利都是族，和利乌米族。Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were the Asshurites, the Letushites, and the Leummites.
4米甸的儿子是以法、以弗、哈诺、亚比大，和以勒大。这都是基土拉的子孙。The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah.
5亚伯拉罕将一切所有的都给了以撒。Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.
6亚伯拉罕把财物分给他的众子，趁着自己还在世的时候打发他们离开他的儿子以撒，往东方去。But while he was still alive, Abraham gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.
7亚伯拉罕一生的年日是一百七十五岁。Abraham lived a total of 175 years.
8亚伯拉罕，气绝而死，（原文是本民）那里。And at a ripe old age he breathed his last and died, old and contented, and was gathered to his people.
9他两个儿子以撒、以实玛利把他埋葬在麦比拉洞里。这洞在幔利前、赫人琐辖的儿子以弗仑的田中，His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite.
10就是亚伯拉罕向赫人买的那块田。亚伯拉罕和他妻子撒拉都葬在那里。This was the field that Abraham had bought from the Hittites. Abraham was buried there with his wife Sarah.
11亚伯拉罕死了以后， 神赐福给他的儿子以撒。以撒靠近庇耳·拉海·莱居住。After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who lived near Beer-lahai-roi.
12撒拉的使女埃及人夏甲给亚伯拉罕所生的儿子是以实玛利。This is the account of Abraham’s son Ishmael, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s maidservant, bore to Abraham.
13以实玛利儿子们的名字，按着他们的家谱记在下面。以实玛利的长子是尼拜约，又有基达、亚德别、米比衫、These are the names of the sons of Ishmael in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
14米施玛、度玛、玛撒、Mishma, Dumah, Massa,
15哈大、提玛、伊突、拿非施、基底玛。Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
16这是以实玛利众子的名字，照着他们的村庄、，作了十二族的族长。These were the sons of Ishmael, and these were their names by their villages and encampments—twelve princes of their tribes.
17以实玛利享寿一百三十七岁，气绝而死，归到他列祖（原文是本民）那里。Ishmael lived a total of 137 years. Then he breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people.
18他子孙的住处在他众弟兄东边，从哈腓拉直到埃及前的书珥，正在亚述的道上。Ishmael’s descendants settled from Havilah to Shur, which is near the border of Egypt as you go toward Asshur. And they lived in hostility toward all their brothers.
19亚伯拉罕的儿子以撒的后代记在下面。亚伯拉罕生以撒。This is the account of Abraham’s son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac,
20以撒娶利百加为妻的时候正四十岁。利百加是巴旦·亚兰地的彼土利的女儿，是亚兰人拉班的妹子。and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan-aram and the sister of Laban the Aramean.
21以撒因他妻子不生育，就为她祈求耶和华；耶和华应允他的祈求，他的妻子利百加就怀了孕。Later, Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. And the LORD heard his prayer, and his wife Rebekah conceived.
22孩子们在她腹中，她就说：“若是这样，我为什么活着呢（或译：我为什么如此呢）？”她就去求问耶和华。But the children inside her struggled with each other, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So Rebekah went to inquire of the LORD,
23耶和华对她说：两国在你腹内；两族要从你身上出来。这族必强于那族；将来大的要服事小的。and He declared to her: “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.”
24生产的日子到了，腹中果然是双子。When her time came to give birth, there were indeed twins in her womb.
25先产的身体发红，浑身有毛，如同皮衣，他们就给他起名叫（就是有毛的意思）。The first one came out red, covered with hair like a fur coat; so they named him Esau.
26随后又生了以扫的兄弟，手抓住以扫的脚跟，因此给他起名叫（就是抓住的意思）。利百加生下两个儿子的时候，以撒年正六十岁。After this, his brother came out grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. And Isaac was sixty years old when the twins were born.
27两个孩子渐渐长大，以扫善于打猎，常在田野；雅各为人，常住在帐棚里。When the boys grew up, Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the field, while Jacob was a quiet man who stayed at home.
28以撒爱以扫，因为常吃他的野味；利百加却爱雅各。Because Isaac had a taste for wild game, he loved Esau; but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29有一天，雅各，以扫从田野回来。One day, while Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the field and was famished.
30以扫对雅各说：“我累昏了，求你把这红汤给我喝。”因此以扫又叫（就是红的意思）。He said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am famished.” (That is why he was also called Edom.)
31雅各说：“你今日把卖给我吧。”“First sell me your birthright,” Jacob replied.
32以扫说：“我将要死，这长子的名分于我有什么益处呢？”“Look,” said Esau, “I am about to die, so what good is a birthright to me?”
33雅各说：“你今日对我起誓吧。”以扫就对他起了誓，把长子的名分卖给雅各。“Swear to me first,” Jacob said. So Esau swore to Jacob and sold him the birthright.
34于是雅各将饼和红豆汤给了以扫，以扫吃了喝了，便起来走了。这就是以扫了他长子的名分。Then Jacob gave some bread and lentil stew to Esau, who ate and drank and then got up and went away. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
