1摩西从摩押平原登尼波山，上了那与耶利哥相对的山顶。耶和华把基列全地直到但，Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which faces Jericho. And the LORD showed him the whole land—from Gilead as far as Dan,
2拿弗他利全地，以法莲、玛拿西的地，犹大全地直到西海，all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Western Sea,
3南地和耶利哥的平原，直到琐珥，都指给他看。the Negev, and the region from the Valley of Jericho (the City of Palms) all the way to Zoar.
4耶和华对他说：“这就是我向亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许之地，说：‘我必将这地赐给你的后裔。’现在我使你眼睛看见了，你却不得过到那里去。”And the LORD said to him, “This is the land that I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”
5于是，耶和华的仆人摩西死在摩押地，正如耶和华所说的。So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, as the LORD had said.
6耶和华将他埋葬在摩押地、伯·毗珥对面的谷中，只是到今日没有人知道他的坟墓。And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab facing Beth-peor, and no one to this day knows the location of his grave.
7摩西死的时候年一百二十岁；，精神没有衰败。Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not diminished.
8以色列人在摩押平原为摩西哀哭了三十日，为摩西居丧哀哭的日子就满了。The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.
9嫩的儿子约书亚；因为摩西曾按手在他头上，就被智慧的灵充满，以色列人便听从他，照着耶和华吩咐摩西的行了。Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
10以后以色列中再没有兴起先知像摩西的。他是耶和华面对面所认识的。Since that time, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face—
11耶和华打发他在埃及地向法老和他的一切臣仆，并他的全地，行各样神迹奇事，no prophet who did all the signs and wonders that the LORD sent Moses to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his officials and all his land,
12又在以色列众人眼前显大能的手，行一切大而可畏的事。and no prophet who performed all the mighty acts of power and awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
