1从这日起，耶路撒冷的教会大遭逼迫，除了使徒以外，门徒都分散在犹太和各处。And Saul was there, giving approval to Stephen’s death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.
2有虔诚的人把司提反埋葬了，为他大哭。God-fearing men buried Stephen and mourned deeply over him.
3扫罗却教会，进各人的家，拉着男女下在监里。But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
4那些分散的人往各处去传道。Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
5腓利下去，宣讲。Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ to them.
6众人听见了，又看见腓利所行的神迹，就同心合意地听从他的话。The crowds all paid close attention to Philip’s message and to the signs they saw him perform.
7因为有许多人被污鬼附着，那些鬼大声呼叫，从他们身上出来；还有许多的、瘸腿的，都得了医治。With loud shrieks, unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, and many of the paralyzed and lame were healed.
8在那城里，就大有欢喜。So there was great joy in that city.
9有一个人，名叫，向来在那城里行，，使撒马利亚的百姓惊奇；Prior to that time, a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and astounded the people of Samaria. He claimed to be someone great,
10无论大小都听从他，说：“这人就是那称为 神的。”and all the people, from the least to the greatest, heeded his words and said, “This man is the divine power called the Great Power.”
11他们听从他，因他久用邪术，使他们惊奇。They paid close attention to him because he had astounded them for a long time with his sorcery.
12及至他们信了腓利所传 的福音和耶稣基督的名，连男带女就受了洗。But when they believed Philip as he preached the gospel of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13西门自己也信了；既受了洗，就常与腓利在一处，看见他所行的神迹和大异能，就甚惊奇。Even Simon himself believed and was baptized. He followed Philip closely and was astounded by the great signs and miracles he observed.
14使徒在耶路撒冷听见撒马利亚人领受了 神的道，就打发彼得、约翰往他们那里去。When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
15两个人到了，就为他们祷告，要叫他们受圣灵。On their arrival, they prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit.
16因为圣灵还没有降在他们一个人身上，他们只奉主耶稣的名受了洗。For the Holy Spirit had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
17于是使徒按手在他们头上，他们就受了圣灵。Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18西门看见使徒按手，便有圣灵赐下，就拿钱给使徒，When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money.
19说：“把这权柄也给我，叫我手按着谁，谁就可以受圣灵。”“Give me this power as well,” he said, “so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20彼得说：“你的银子和你一同吧！因你想 神的恩赐是可以用钱买的。But Peter replied, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
21你在这道上；因为在 神面前，你的心不正。You have no part or share in our ministry, because your heart is not right before God.
22你当你这罪恶，祈求主，或者你心里的意念可得赦免。Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray to the Lord. Perhaps He will forgive you for the intent of your heart.
23我看出你正在之中，被罪恶捆绑。”For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and captive to iniquity.”
24西门说：“愿你们为我求主，叫你们所说的，没有一样临到我身上。”Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me, so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”
25使徒既，而且传讲，就回耶路撒冷去，一路在撒马利亚好些村庄传扬福音。And after Peter and John had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many of the Samaritan villages.
26有主的一个使者对腓利说：“起来！向南走，往那从耶路撒冷下的路上去。”那路是旷野。Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get up and go south to the desert road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”
27腓利就起身去了，不料，有一个（就是古实，见以赛亚十八章一节）人，是个有大权的，在衣索匹亚女王的手下，他上耶路撒冷去了。So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official in charge of the entire treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. He had gone to Jerusalem to worship,
28现在回来，在车上坐着，念先知以赛亚的书。and on his return was sitting in his chariot reading Isaiah the prophet.
29圣灵对腓利说：“你去！那车走。”The Spirit said to Philip, “Go over to that chariot and stay by it.”
30腓利就跑到太监那里，听见他念先知以赛亚的书，便问他说：“你所念的，你明白吗？”So Philip ran up and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.
31他说：“没有人我，怎能明白呢？”于是请腓利上车，与他同坐。“How can I,” he said, “unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
32他所念的那段经，说：他像羊被牵到宰杀之地，又像羊羔在手下无声；他也是这样不开口。The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so He did not open His mouth.
33他卑微的时候，人不按公义审判他（原文是他的审判被夺去）；谁能述说他的？因为他的生命从地上夺去。In His humiliation He was deprived of justice. Who can recount His descendants? For His life was removed from the earth.”
34太监对腓利说：“请问，先知说这话是指着谁？是指着自己呢？是指着别人呢？”“Tell me,” said the eunuch, “who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?”
35腓利就开口从这经上起，对他传讲耶稣。Then Philip began with this very Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
36二人正往前走，到了有水的地方，太监说：“看哪，这里有水，我受洗有什么呢？”（有古卷加：As they traveled along the road and came to some water, the eunuch said, “Look, here is water! What is there to prevent me from being baptized?”
37腓利说：“你若是一心相信，就可以。”他回答说：“我信耶稣基督是 神的儿子。”）（BSB 英译本没有这一节）
38于是吩咐车站住，腓利和太监二人同下水里去，腓利就给他施洗。And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.
39从水里上来，主的灵把腓利，太监也不再见他了，就欢欢喜喜地走路。When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing.
40后来有人在遇见腓利；他走遍那地方，在各城宣传福音，直到。But Philip appeared at Azotus and traveled through that region, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
