1以色列人出埃及地后四百八十年，所罗门作以色列王第四年，就是二月，开工建造耶和华的殿。In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the house of the LORD.
2所罗门王为耶和华所建的殿，长六十，宽二十肘，高三十肘。The house that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.
3殿前的廊子长二十肘，与殿的宽窄一样，阔十肘；The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple was twenty cubits long, extending across the width of the temple and projecting out ten cubits in front of the temple.
4又为殿做了严紧的。He also had narrow windows framed high in the temple.
5靠着殿墙，围着外殿内殿，造了三层旁屋；Against the walls of the temple and the inner sanctuary, Solomon built a chambered structure around the temple, in which he constructed the side rooms.
6下层宽五肘，中层宽六肘，上层宽七肘。殿外旁屋的梁木搁在殿墙坎上，免得插入殿墙。The bottom floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits, and the third floor seven cubits. He also placed offset ledges around the outside of the temple, so that nothing would be inserted into its walls.
7建殿是用山中凿成的石头。建殿的时候，，和别样铁器的响声都没有听见。The temple was constructed using finished stones cut at the quarry, so that no hammer or chisel or any other iron tool was heard in the temple while it was being built.
8在殿右边当中的旁屋有门，门内有旋螺的楼梯，可以上到第二层，从第二层可以上到第三层。The entrance to the bottom floor was on the south side of the temple. A stairway led up to the middle level, and from there to the third floor.
9所罗门建殿，安置香柏木的栋梁，又用香柏木板遮盖。So Solomon built the temple and finished it, roofing it with beams and planks of cedar.
10靠着殿所造的旁屋，每层高五肘，香柏木的栋梁搁在殿墙坎上。He built chambers all along the temple, each five cubits high and attached to the temple with beams of cedar.
11耶和华的话临到所罗门说：Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:
12“论到你所建的这殿，你若遵行我的律例，谨守我的典章，遵从我的一切诫命，我必向你应验我所应许你父亲大卫的话。“As for this temple you are building, if you walk in My statutes, carry out My ordinances, and keep all My commandments by walking in them, I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.
13我必住在以色列人中间，并不丢弃我民以色列。”And I will dwell among the Israelites and will not abandon My people Israel.”
14所罗门建造殿宇。So Solomon built the temple and finished it.
15殿里面用香柏木板贴墙，从地到棚顶都用木板遮蔽，又用松木板铺地。He lined the interior walls with cedar paneling from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and he covered the floor with cypress boards.
16内殿，就是，长二十肘，从地到棚顶用香柏木板遮蔽（或译：隔断）。He partitioned off the twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.
17内殿前的外殿，长四十肘。And the main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.
18殿里一点石头都不显露，一概用香柏木遮蔽；上面刻着和初开的花。The cedar paneling inside the temple was carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; not a stone could be seen.
19殿里预备了内殿，好安放耶和华的约柜。Solomon also prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.
20内殿长二十肘，宽二十肘，高二十肘，墙面都贴上精金；又用香柏木做坛，包上精金。The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.
21所罗门用精金贴了殿内的墙，又用金链子挂在内殿前门扇，用金包裹。So Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.
22全殿都贴上金子，直到贴完；内殿前的坛，也都用金包裹。So he overlaid with gold the whole interior of the temple, until everything was completely finished. He also overlaid with gold the entire altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.
23他用橄榄木做两个基路伯，各高十肘，安在内殿。In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim, each ten cubits high, out of olive wood.
24这一个基路伯有两个翅膀，各长五肘，从这翅膀尖到那翅膀尖共有十肘；One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing was five cubits long as well. So the full wingspan was ten cubits.
25那一个基路伯的两个翅膀也是十肘，两个基路伯的尺寸、形象都是一样。The second cherub also measured ten cubits; both cherubim had the same size and shape,
26这基路伯高十肘，那基路伯也是如此。and the height of each cherub was ten cubits.
27他将两个基路伯安在内殿里；基路伯的翅膀是张开的，这基路伯的一个翅膀挨着这边的墙，那基路伯的一个翅膀挨着那边的墙，里边的两个翅膀在殿中间彼此相接；And he placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple. Since their wings were spread out, the wing of the first cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the second cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the room their wingtips touched.
28又用金子包裹二基路伯。He also overlaid the cherubim with gold.
29内殿、外殿周围的墙上都刻着基路伯、棕树，和初开的花。Then he carved the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer sanctuaries, with carved engravings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers.
30内殿、外殿的地板都贴上金子。And he overlaid the temple floor with gold in both the inner and outer sanctuaries.
31又用橄榄木制造内殿的门扇、门楣、门框；门口有墙的五分之一。For the entrance to the inner sanctuary, Solomon constructed doors of olive wood with five-sided doorposts.
32在橄榄木做的两门扇上刻着基路伯、棕树，和初开的花，都贴上金子。The double doors were made of olive wood, and he carved into them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with hammered gold.
33又用橄榄木制造外殿的门框，门口有墙的四分之一。In the same way he made four-sided doorposts of olive wood for the sanctuary entrance.
34用松木做门两扇。这扇分两扇，是折叠的；那扇分两扇，也是折叠的。The two doors were made of cypress wood, and each had two folding panels.
35上面刻着基路伯、棕树，和初开的花，都用金子贴了。He carved into them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and he overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.
36他又用凿成的石头三层、香柏木一层建筑内院。Solomon built the inner courtyard with three rows of dressed stone and one row of trimmed cedar beams.
37所罗门在位第四年西弗月，立了耶和华殿的根基。The foundation of the house of the LORD was laid in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign, in the month of Ziv.
38到十一年，就是八月，殿和一切属殿的都按着样式造成。他建殿的工夫共有七年。In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in every detail and according to every specification. So he built the temple in seven years.
