巴比伦被攻取

¹耶和华借先知耶利米论巴比伦和迦勒底人之地所说的话。This is the word that the LORD spoke through Jeremiah the prophet concerning Babylon and the land of the Chaldeans:

²你们要在万国中传扬报告，竖立大旗；要报告，不可隐瞒，说：巴比伦被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米罗达惊惶。巴比伦的神像都蒙羞；她的偶像都惊惶。“Announce and declare to the nations; lift up a banner and proclaim it; hold nothing back when you say, ‘Babylon is captured; Bel is put to shame; Marduk is shattered, her images are disgraced, her idols are broken in pieces.’

³“因有一国从北方上来攻击她，使她的地荒凉，无人居住，连人带牲畜都逃走了。”For a nation from the north will come against her; it will make her land a desolation. No one will live in it; both man and beast will flee.”

以色列人要寻求耶和华

⁴耶和华说：“当那日子、那时候，以色列人要和犹大人同来，随走随哭，寻求耶和华—他们的　神。“In those days and at that time, declares the LORD, the children of Israel and the children of Judah will come together, weeping as they come, and will seek the LORD their God.

⁵他们必访问锡安，又面向这里，说：‘来吧，你们要与耶和华联合为永远不忘的约。’”They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and join themselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that will never be forgotten.

⁶“我的百姓作了迷失的羊，牧人使他们走差路，使他们转到山上。他们从大山走到小山，竟忘了安歇之处。My people are lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray, causing them to roam the mountains. They have wandered from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place.

⁷凡遇见他们的，就把他们吞灭。敌人说：‘我们没有罪；因他们得罪那作公义居所的耶和华，就是他们列祖所仰望的耶和华。’All who found them devoured them, and their enemies said, ‘We are not guilty, for they have sinned against the LORD, their true pasture, the LORD, the hope of their fathers.’

从巴比伦中逃走

⁸“我民哪，你们要从巴比伦中逃走，从迦勒底人之地出去，要像羊群前面走的公山羊。Flee from the midst of Babylon; depart from the land of the Chaldeans; be like the he-goats that lead the flock.

⁹因我必激动联合的大国从北方上来攻击巴比伦，他们要摆阵攻击她；他必从那里被攻取。他们的箭好像善射之勇士的箭，一枝也不徒然返回。For behold, I stir up and bring against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the land of the north. They will line up against her; from the north she will be captured. Their arrows will be like skilled warriors who do not return empty-handed.

¹⁰迦勒底必成为掠物；凡掳掠她的都必心满意足。这是耶和华说的。”Chaldea will be plundered; all who plunder her will have their fill,” declares the LORD.

¹¹抢夺我产业的啊，你们因欢喜快乐，且像踹谷撒欢的母牛犊，又像发嘶声的壮马。“Because you rejoice, because you sing in triumph—you who plunder My inheritance—because you frolic like a heifer treading grain and neigh like stallions,

¹²你们的母巴比伦就极其抱愧，生你们的必然蒙羞。她要列在诸国之末，成为旷野、旱地、沙漠。your mother will be greatly ashamed; she who bore you will be disgraced. Behold, she will be the least of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

¹³因耶和华的忿怒，必无人居住，要全然荒凉。凡经过巴比伦的要受惊骇，又因她所遭的灾殃嗤笑。Because of the wrath of the LORD, she will not be inhabited; she will become completely desolate. All who pass through Babylon will be horrified and will hiss at all her wounds.

¹⁴所有拉弓的，你们要在巴比伦的四围摆阵，射箭攻击她。不要爱惜箭枝，因她得罪了耶和华。Line up in formation around Babylon, all you who draw the bow! Shoot at her! Spare no arrows! For she has sinned against the LORD.

¹⁵你们要在她四围呐喊；她已经投降。外郭坍塌了，城墙拆毁了，因为这是耶和华报仇的事。你们要向巴比伦报仇；她怎样待人，也要怎样待她。Raise a war cry against her on every side! She has thrown up her hands in surrender; her towers have fallen; her walls are torn down. Since this is the vengeance of the LORD, take out your vengeance upon her; as she has done, do the same to her.

¹⁶你们要将巴比伦撒种的和收割时拿镰刀的都剪除了。他们各人因怕欺压的刀剑，必归回本族，逃到本土。Cut off the sower from Babylon, and the one who wields the sickle at harvest time. In the face of the oppressor’s sword, each will turn to his own people, each will flee to his own land.

打散的羊必归回

¹⁷“以色列是打散的羊，是被狮子赶出的。首先是亚述王将他吞灭，末后是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒将他的骨头折断。”Israel is a scattered flock, chased away by lions. The first to devour him was the king of Assyria; the last to crush his bones was Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.”

¹⁸所以万军之耶和华—以色列的　神如此说：“我必罚巴比伦王和他的地，像我从前罚亚述王一样。Therefore this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “I will punish the king of Babylon and his land as I punished the king of Assyria.

¹⁹我必再领以色列回他的草场，他必在迦密和巴珊吃草，又在以法莲山上和基列境内得以饱足。”I will return Israel to his pasture, and he will graze on Carmel and Bashan; his soul will be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and Gilead.

²⁰耶和华说：“当那日子、那时候，虽寻以色列的罪孽，一无所有；虽寻犹大的罪恶，也无所见；因为我所留下的人，我必赦免。”In those days and at that time, declares the LORD, a search will be made for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found; for I will forgive the remnant I preserve.

全地的大锤被砍断

²¹耶和华说：上去攻击米拉大翁之地，又攻击比割的居民。要追杀灭尽，照我一切所吩咐你的去行。Go up against the land of Merathaim, and against the residents of Pekod. Kill them and devote them to destruction. Do all that I have commanded you,” declares the LORD.

²²境内有打仗和大毁灭的响声。“The noise of battle is in the land—the noise of great destruction.

²³全地的大锤何竟砍断破坏？巴比伦在列国中何竟荒凉？How the hammer of the whole earth lies broken and shattered! What a horror Babylon has become among the nations!

²⁴巴比伦哪，我为你设下网罗，你不知不觉被缠住。你被寻着，也被捉住；因为你与耶和华争竞。I laid a snare for you, O Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it. You were found and captured because you challenged the LORD.

²⁵耶和华已经开了武库，拿出他恼恨的兵器；因为主—万军之耶和华在迦勒底人之地有当做的事。The LORD has opened His armory and brought out His weapons of wrath, for this is the work of the Lord GOD of Hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

²⁶你们要从极远的边界来攻击她，开她的仓廪，将她堆如高堆，毁灭净尽，丝毫不留。Come against her from the farthest border. Break open her granaries; pile her up like mounds of grain. Devote her to destruction; leave her no survivors.

²⁷要杀他的一切牛犊，使他们下去遭遇杀戮。他们有祸了，因为追讨他们的日子已经来到。Kill all her young bulls; let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them, for their day has come—the time of their punishment.

²⁸（有从巴比伦之地逃避出来的人，在锡安扬声报告耶和华—我们的　神报仇，就是为他的殿报仇。）Listen to the fugitives and refugees from the land of Babylon, declaring in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance for His temple.

²⁹“招集一切弓箭手来攻击巴比伦。要在巴比伦四围安营，不要容一人逃脱，照着她所做的报应她；她怎样待人，也要怎样待她，因为她向耶和华—以色列的圣者发了狂傲。Summon the archers against Babylon, all who string the bow. Encamp all around her; let no one escape. Repay her according to her deeds; do to her as she has done. For she has defied the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.

³⁰所以她的少年人必仆倒在街上。当那日，一切兵丁必默默无声。这是耶和华说的。”Therefore, her young men will fall in the streets, and all her warriors will be silenced in that day,” declares the LORD.

³¹主—万军之耶和华说：你这狂傲的啊，我与你反对，因为我追讨你的日子已经来到。“Behold, I am against you, O arrogant one,” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts, “for your day has come, the time when I will punish you.

³²狂傲的必绊跌仆倒，无人扶起。我也必使火在他的城邑中着起来，将他四围所有的尽行烧灭。The arrogant one will stumble and fall with no one to pick him up. And I will kindle a fire in his cities to consume all those around him.”

救赎主为他们伸冤

³³万军之耶和华如此说：“以色列人和犹大人一同受欺压；凡掳掠他们的都紧紧抓住他们，不肯释放。This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “The sons of Israel are oppressed, and the sons of Judah as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to release them.

³⁴他们的救赎主大有能力，万军之耶和华是他的名。他必伸清他们的冤，好使全地得平安，并搅扰巴比伦的居民。”Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of Hosts is His name. He will fervently plead their case so that He may bring rest to the earth, but turmoil to those who live in Babylon.

³⁵耶和华说：有刀剑临到迦勒底人和巴比伦的居民，并她的首领与智慧人。A sword is against the Chaldeans, declares the LORD, against those who live in Babylon, and against her officials and wise men.

³⁶有刀剑临到矜夸的人，他们就成为愚昧；有刀剑临到她的勇士，他们就惊惶。A sword is against her false prophets, and they will become fools. A sword is against her warriors, and they will be filled with terror.

³⁷有刀剑临到他的马匹、车辆，和其中杂族的人民；他们必像妇女一样。有刀剑临到她的宝物，就被抢夺。A sword is against her horses and chariots and against all the foreigners in her midst, and they will become like women. A sword is against her treasuries, and they will be plundered.

³⁸有干旱临到她的众水，就必干涸；因为这是有雕刻偶像之地，人因偶像而颠狂。A drought is upon her waters, and they will be dried up. For it is a land of graven images, and the people go mad over idols.

³⁹所以旷野的走兽和豺狼必住在那里，鸵鸟也住在其中，永无人烟，世世代代无人居住。”So the desert creatures and hyenas will live there and ostriches will dwell there. It will never again be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation.

⁴⁰耶和华说：“必无人住在那里，也无人在其中寄居，要像我倾覆所多玛、蛾摩拉，和邻近的城邑一样。As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah along with their neighbors,” declares the LORD, “no one will dwell there; no man will abide there.

有一民从北方而来

⁴¹看哪，有一种民从北方而来，并有一大国和许多君王被激动，从地极来到。Behold, an army is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings are stirred up from the ends of the earth.

⁴²他们拿弓和枪，性情残忍，不施怜悯；他们的声音像海浪匉訇。巴比伦城（原文是女子）啊，他们骑马，都摆队伍如上战场的人，要攻击你。They grasp the bow and spear; they are cruel and merciless. Their voice roars like the sea, and they ride upon horses, lined up like men in formation against you, O Daughter of Babylon.

⁴³巴比伦王听见他们的风声，手就发软，痛苦将他抓住，疼痛仿佛产难的妇人。The king of Babylon has heard the report, and his hands hang limp. Anguish has gripped him, pain like that of a woman in labor.

⁴⁴“仇敌必像狮子从约旦河边的丛林上来，攻击坚固的居所。转眼之间，我要使他们逃跑，离开这地。谁蒙拣选，我就派谁治理这地。谁能比我呢？谁能给我定规日期呢？有何牧人能在我面前站立得住呢？Behold, one will come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan to the watered pasture. For in an instant I will chase Babylon from her land. Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? For who is like Me, and who can challenge Me? What shepherd can stand against Me?”

⁴⁵你们要听耶和华攻击巴比伦所说的谋略和他攻击迦勒底人之地所定的旨意。仇敌定要将他们群众微弱的拉去，定要使他们的居所荒凉。Therefore hear the plans that the LORD has drawn up against Babylon and the strategies He has devised against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the little ones of the flock will be dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made desolate because of them.

⁴⁶因巴比伦被取的声音，地就震动，人在列邦都听见呼喊的声音。”At the sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will quake; a cry will be heard among the nations.

毁灭的风刮起

¹耶和华如此说：我必使毁灭的风刮起，攻击巴比伦和住在立加米的人。This is what the LORD says: “Behold, I will stir up against Babylon and against the people of Leb-kamai the spirit of a destroyer.

²我要打发外邦人来到巴比伦，簸扬她，使她的地空虚。在她遭祸的日子，他们要周围攻击她。I will send strangers to Babylon to winnow her and empty her land; for they will come against her from every side in her day of disaster.

³拉弓的，要向拉弓的和贯甲挺身的射箭。不要怜惜她的少年人；要灭尽她的全军。Do not let the archer bend his bow or put on his armor. Do not spare her young men; devote all her army to destruction!

⁴他们必在迦勒底人之地被杀仆倒，在巴比伦的街上被刺透。And they will fall slain in the land of the Chaldeans, and pierced through in her streets.

⁵以色列和犹大虽然境内充满违背以色列圣者的罪，却没有被他的　神—万军之耶和华丢弃。For Israel and Judah have not been abandoned by their God, the LORD of Hosts, though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.”

⁶你们要从巴比伦中逃奔，各救自己的性命！不要陷在她的罪孽中一同灭亡；因为这是耶和华报仇的时候，他必向巴比伦施行报应。Flee from Babylon! Escape with your lives! Do not be destroyed in her punishment. For this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; He will pay her what she deserves.

耶和华手中的金杯

⁷巴比伦素来是耶和华手中的金杯，使天下沉醉；万国喝了她的酒就颠狂了。Babylon was a gold cup in the hand of the LORD, making the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore the nations have gone mad.

⁸巴比伦忽然倾覆毁坏；要为她哀号；为止她的疼痛，拿乳香或者可以治好。Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been shattered. Wail for her; get her balm for her pain; perhaps she can be healed.

⁹我们想医治巴比伦，她却没有治好。离开她吧！我们各人归回本国；因为她受的审判通于上天，达到穹苍。“We tried to heal Babylon, but she could not be healed. Abandon her! Let each of us go to his own land, for her judgment extends to the sky and reaches to the clouds.”

¹⁰耶和华已经彰显我们的公义。来吧！我们可以在锡安报告耶和华—我们　神的作为。“The LORD has brought forth our vindication; come, let us tell in Zion what the LORD our God has accomplished.”

¹¹你们要磨尖了箭头，抓住盾牌。耶和华定意攻击巴比伦，将她毁灭，所以激动了玛代君王的心；因这是耶和华报仇，就是为自己的殿报仇。Sharpen the arrows! Fill the quivers! The LORD has aroused the spirit of the kings of the Medes, because His plan is aimed at Babylon to destroy her, for it is the vengeance of the LORD—vengeance for His temple.

¹²你们要竖立大旗，攻击巴比伦的城墙；要坚固了望台，派定守望的设下埋伏；因为耶和华指着巴比伦居民所说的话、所定的意，他已经作成。Raise a banner against the walls of Babylon; post the guard; station the watchmen; prepare the ambush. For the LORD has both devised and accomplished what He spoke against the people of Babylon.

¹³住在众水之上多有财宝的啊，你的结局到了！你贪婪之量满了！You who dwell by many waters, rich in treasures, your end has come; the thread of your life is cut.

¹⁴万军之耶和华指着自己起誓说：我必使敌人充满你，像蚂蚱一样；他们必呐喊攻击你。The LORD of Hosts has sworn by Himself: “Surely I will fill you up with men as with locusts, and they will shout in triumph over you.”

创造万有的主

¹⁵耶和华用能力创造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聪明铺张穹苍。The LORD made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.

¹⁶他一发声，空中便有多水激动；他使云雾从地极上腾。他造电随雨而闪，从他府库中带出风来。When He thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He generates the lightning with the rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses.

¹⁷各人都成了畜类，毫无知识。各银匠都因他的偶像羞愧；他所铸的偶像本是虚假的，其中并无气息，Every man is senseless and devoid of knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols. For his molten images are a fraud, and there is no breath in them.

¹⁸都是虚无的，是迷惑人的工作，到追讨的时候，必被除灭。They are worthless, a work to be mocked. In the time of their punishment they will perish.

¹⁹雅各的分不像这些，因他是造作万有的主；以色列也是他产业的支派。万军之耶和华是他的名。The Portion of Jacob is not like these, for He is the Maker of all things, and of the tribe of His inheritance—the LORD of Hosts is His name.

争战的斧子

²⁰你是我争战的斧子和打仗的兵器；我要用你打碎列国，用你毁灭列邦；“You are My war club, My weapon for battle. With you I shatter nations; with you I bring kingdoms to ruin.

²¹用你打碎马和骑马的；用你打碎战车和坐在其上的；With you I shatter the horse and rider; with you I shatter the chariot and driver.

²²用你打碎男人和女人；用你打碎老年人和少年人；用你打碎壮丁和处女；With you I shatter man and woman; with you I shatter the old man and the youth; with you I shatter the young man and the maiden.

²³用你打碎牧人和他的群畜；用你打碎农夫和他一对牛；用你打碎省长和副省长。With you I shatter the shepherd and his flock; with you I shatter the farmer and his oxen; with you I shatter the governors and officials.

²⁴耶和华说：“我必在你们眼前报复巴比伦人和迦勒底居民在锡安所行的诸恶。”Before your very eyes I will repay Babylon and all the dwellers of Chaldea for all the evil they have done in Zion,” declares the LORD.

²⁵耶和华说：你这行毁灭的山哪，就是毁灭天下的山，我与你反对。我必向你伸手，将你从山岩滚下去，使你成为烧毁的山。“Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, you who devastate the whole earth, declares the LORD. I will stretch out My hand against you; I will roll you over the cliffs and turn you into a charred mountain.

²⁶人必不从你那里取石头为房角石，也不取石头为根基石；你必永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。No one shall retrieve from you a cornerstone or a foundation stone, because you will become desolate forever,” declares the LORD.

²⁷要在境内竖立大旗，在各国中吹角，使列国预备攻击巴比伦，将亚拉腊、米尼、亚实基拿各国招来攻击她；又派军长来攻击她，使马匹上来如蚂蚱，“Raise a banner in the land! Blow the ram’s horn among the nations! Prepare the nations against her. Summon the kingdoms against her—Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. Appoint a captain against her; bring up horses like swarming locusts.

²⁸使列国和玛代君王，与省长和副省长，并他们所管全地之人，都预备攻击她。Prepare the nations for battle against her—the kings of the Medes, their governors and all their officials, and all the lands they rule.

²⁹地必震动而瘠苦；因耶和华向巴比伦所定的旨意成立了，使巴比伦之地荒凉，无人居住。The earth quakes and writhes because the LORD’s intentions against Babylon stand: to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.

³⁰巴比伦的勇士止息争战，藏在坚垒之中。他们的勇力衰尽，好像妇女一样。巴比伦的住处有火着起，门闩都折断了。The warriors of Babylon have stopped fighting; they sit in their strongholds. Their strength is exhausted; they have become like women. Babylon’s homes have been set ablaze, the bars of her gates are broken.

³¹跑报的要彼此相遇，送信的要互相迎接，报告巴比伦王说：城的四方被攻取了，One courier races to meet another, and messenger follows messenger, to announce to the king of Babylon that his city has been captured from end to end.

³²渡口被占据了，苇塘被火烧了，兵丁也惊慌了。The fords have been seized, the marshes set on fire, and the soldiers are terrified.”

³³万军之耶和华—以色列的　神如此说：巴比伦城（原文作女子）好像踹谷的禾场；再过片时，收割她的时候就到了。For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “The Daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled. In just a little while her harvest time will come.”

神为锡安伸冤

³⁴以色列人说：巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒吞灭我，压碎我，使我成为空虚的器皿。他像大鱼将我吞下，用我的美物充满他的肚腹，又将我赶出去。“Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me. He has set me aside like an empty vessel; he has swallowed me like a monster; he filled his belly with my delicacies and vomited me out.

³⁵锡安的居民要说：巴比伦以强暴待我，损害我的身体，愿这罪归给她。耶路撒冷人要说：愿流我们血的罪归到迦勒底的居民。May the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon,” says the dweller of Zion. “May my blood be on the dwellers of Chaldea,” says Jerusalem.

³⁶所以，耶和华如此说：我必为你伸冤，为你报仇；我必使巴比伦的海枯竭，使她的泉源干涸。Therefore this is what the LORD says: “Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance on your behalf; I will dry up her sea and make her springs run dry.

³⁷巴比伦必成为乱堆，为野狗的住处，令人惊骇、嗤笑，并且无人居住。Babylon will become a heap of rubble, a haunt for jackals, an object of horror and scorn, without inhabitant.

³⁸他们要像少壮狮子咆哮，像小狮子吼叫。They will roar together like young lions; they will growl like lion cubs.

³⁹他们火热的时候，我必为他们设摆酒席，使他们沉醉，好叫他们快乐，睡了长觉，永不醒起。这是耶和华说的。While they are flushed with heat, I will serve them a feast, and I will make them drunk so that they may revel; then they will fall asleep forever and never wake up, declares the LORD.

⁴⁰我必使他们像羊羔、像公绵羊和公山羊下到宰杀之地。I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with male goats.

⁴¹示沙克（就是巴比伦）何竟被攻取，天下所称赞的何竟被占据？巴比伦在列国中何竟变为荒场？How Sheshach has been captured! The praise of all the earth has been seized. What a horror Babylon has become among the nations!

⁴²海水涨起，漫过巴比伦；她被许多海浪遮盖。The sea has come up over Babylon; she is covered in turbulent waves.

⁴³她的城邑变为荒场、旱地、沙漠，无人居住，无人经过之地。Her cities have become a desolation, a dry and arid land, a land where no one lives, where no son of man passes through.

⁴⁴我必刑罚巴比伦的彼勒，使他吐出所吞的。万民必不再流归他那里；巴比伦的城墙也必坍塌了。I will punish Bel in Babylon. I will make him spew out what he swallowed. The nations will no longer stream to him; even the wall of Babylon will fall.

我的民哪，从其中出去

⁴⁵我的民哪，你们要从其中出去！各人拯救自己，躲避耶和华的烈怒。Come out of her, My people! Save your lives, each of you, from the fierce anger of the LORD.

⁴⁶你们不要心惊胆怯，也不要因境内所听见的风声惧怕；因为这年有风声传来；那年也有风声传来，境内有强暴的事，官长攻击官长。Do not let your heart grow faint, and do not be afraid when the rumor is heard in the land; for a rumor will come one year—and then another the next year—of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.

⁴⁷日子将到，我必刑罚巴比伦雕刻的偶像。她全地必然抱愧；她被杀的人必在其中仆倒。Therefore, behold, the days are coming when I will punish the idols of Babylon. Her entire land will suffer shame, and all her slain will lie fallen within her.

⁴⁸那时，天地和其中所有的，必因巴比伦欢呼，因为行毁灭的要从北方来到她那里。这是耶和华说的。Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon because the destroyers from the north will come against her,” declares the LORD.

⁴⁹巴比伦怎样使以色列被杀的人仆倒，照样她全地被杀的人也必在巴比伦仆倒。“Babylon must fall on account of the slain of Israel, just as the slain of all the earth have fallen because of Babylon.

⁵⁰你们躲避刀剑的要快走，不要站住！要在远方记念耶和华，心中追想耶路撒冷。You who have escaped the sword, depart and do not linger! Remember the LORD from far away, and let Jerusalem come to mind.”

⁵¹我们听见辱骂就蒙羞，满面惭愧，因为外邦人进入耶和华殿的圣所。“We are ashamed because we have heard reproach; disgrace has covered our faces, because foreigners have entered the holy places of the LORD’s house.”

⁵²耶和华说：日子将到，我必刑罚巴比伦雕刻的偶像，通国受伤的人必唉哼。“Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will punish her idols, and throughout her land the wounded will groan.

⁵³巴比伦虽升到天上，虽使她坚固的高处更坚固，还有行毁灭的从我这里到她那里。这是耶和华说的。Even if Babylon ascends to the heavens and fortifies her lofty stronghold, the destroyers I send will come against her,” declares the LORD.

⁵⁴有哀号的声音从巴比伦出来；有大毁灭的响声从迦勒底人之地发出。“The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!

⁵⁵因耶和华使巴比伦变为荒场，使其中的大声灭绝。仇敌仿佛众水，波浪匉訇，响声已经发出。For the LORD will destroy Babylon; He will silence her mighty voice. The waves will roar like great waters; the tumult of their voices will resound.

⁵⁶这是行毁灭的临到巴比伦。巴比伦的勇士被捉住，他们的弓折断了；因为耶和华是施行报应的　神，必定施行报应。For a destroyer is coming against her—against Babylon. Her warriors will be captured, and their bows will be broken, for the LORD is a God of retribution; He will repay in full.

⁵⁷君王—名为万军之耶和华的说：我必使巴比伦的首领、智慧人、省长、副省长，和勇士都沉醉，使他们睡了长觉，永不醒起。I will make her princes and wise men drunk, along with her governors, officials, and warriors. Then they will fall asleep forever and not wake up,” declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts.

⁵⁸万军之耶和华如此说：巴比伦宽阔的城墙必全然倾倒；他高大的城门必被火焚烧。众民所劳碌的必致虚空；列国所劳碌的被火焚烧，他们都必困乏。This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Babylon’s thick walls will be leveled, and her high gates consumed by fire. So the labor of the people will be for nothing; the nations will exhaust themselves to fuel the flames.”

书卷沉入幼发拉底河

⁵⁹犹大王西底家在位第四年，上巴比伦去的时候，玛西雅的孙子、尼利亚的儿子西莱雅与王同去（西莱雅是王宫的大臣），先知耶利米有话吩咐他。This is the message that Jeremiah the prophet gave to the quartermaster Seraiah son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, when he went to Babylon with King Zedekiah of Judah in the fourth year of Zedekiah’s reign.

⁶⁰耶利米将一切要临到巴比伦的灾祸，就是论到巴比伦的一切话，写在书上。Jeremiah had written on a single scroll about all the disaster that would come upon Babylon—all these words that had been written concerning Babylon.

⁶¹耶利米对西莱雅说：“你到了巴比伦务要念这书上的话；And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, “When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud,

⁶²又说：‘耶和华啊，你曾论到这地方说：要剪除，甚至连人带牲畜没有在这里居住的，必永远荒凉。’and say, ‘O LORD, You have promised to cut off this place so that no one will remain—neither man nor beast. Indeed, it will be desolate forever.’

⁶³你念完了这书，就把一块石头拴在书上，扔在幼发拉底河中，When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and cast it into the Euphrates.

⁶⁴说：‘巴比伦因耶和华所要降与她的灾祸，必如此沉下去，不再兴起，人民也必困乏。’”耶利米的话到此为止。Then you are to say, ‘In the same way Babylon will sink and never rise again, because of the disaster I will bring upon her. And her people will grow weary.’” Here end the words of Jeremiah.

坐在天上的大祭司

¹我们所讲的事，其中第一要紧的，就是我们有这样的大祭司，已经坐在天上至大者宝座的右边，The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

²在圣所，就是真帐幕里，作执事；这帐幕是主所支的，不是人所支的。and who ministers in the sanctuary and true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.

天上事的形状和影像

³凡大祭司都是为献礼物和祭物设立的，所以这位大祭司也必须有所献的。And since every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, it was necessary for this One also to have something to offer.

⁴他若在地上，必不得为祭司，因为已经有照律法献礼物的祭司。Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are already priests who offer gifts according to the law.

⁵他们供奉的事本是天上事的形状和影像，正如摩西将要造帐幕的时候，蒙　神警戒他，说：“你要谨慎，作各样的物件都要照着在山上指示你的样式。”The place where they serve is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

更美之约的中保

⁶如今耶稣所得的职任是更美的，正如他作更美之约的中保；这约原是凭更美之应许立的。Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises.

⁷那前约若没有瑕疵，就无处寻求后约了。For if that first covenant had been without fault, no place would have been sought for a second.

我要另立新约

⁸所以主指责他的百姓说（或译：所以主指前约的缺欠说）：日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，But God found fault with the people and said: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

⁹不像我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及的时候，与他们所立的约。因为他们不恒心守我的约，我也不理他们。这是主说的。It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not abide by My covenant, and I disregarded them, declares the Lord.

将律法写在心上

¹⁰主又说：那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的约乃是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上；我要作他们的　神；他们要作我的子民。For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds and inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.

¹¹他们不用各人教导自己的乡邻和自己的弟兄，说：你该认识主；因为他们从最小的到至大的，都必认识我。No longer will each one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.

¹²我要宽恕他们的不义，不再记念他们的罪愆。For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”
