骄傲的以法莲

⁸主使一言入于雅各家，落于以色列家。The Lord has sent a message against Jacob, and it has fallen upon Israel.

⁹这众百姓，就是以法莲和撒马利亚的居民，都要知道；他们凭骄傲自大的心说：All the people will know it—Ephraim and the dwellers of Samaria. With pride and arrogance of heart they will say:

¹⁰砖墙塌了，我们却要凿石头建筑；桑树砍了，我们却要换香柏树。“The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with finished stone; the sycamores have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.”

¹¹因此，耶和华要高举利汛的敌人来攻击以色列，并要激动以色列的仇敌。The LORD has raised up the foes of Rezin against him and joined his enemies together.

¹²东有亚兰人，西有非利士人；他们张口要吞吃以色列。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还未转消；他的手仍伸不缩。Aram from the east and Philistia from the west have devoured Israel with open mouths. Despite all this, His anger is not turned away; His hand is still upraised.

剪除头与尾

¹³这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。But the people did not return to Him who struck them; they did not seek the LORD of Hosts.

¹⁴因此，耶和华一日之间必从以色列中剪除头与尾，棕枝与芦苇—So the LORD will cut off Israel’s head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day.

¹⁵长老和尊贵人就是头，以谎言教人的先知就是尾。The head is the elder and honorable man, and the tail is the prophet who teaches lies.

¹⁶因为，引导这百姓的使他们走错了路；被引导的都必败亡。For those who guide this people mislead them, and those they mislead are swallowed up.

¹⁷所以，主必不喜悦他们的少年人，也不怜恤他们的孤儿寡妇；因为，各人是亵渎的，是行恶的，并且各人的口都说愚妄的话。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还未转消；他的手仍伸不缩。Therefore the Lord takes no pleasure in their young men; He has no compassion on their fatherless and widows. For every one of them is godless and wicked, and every mouth speaks folly. Despite all this, His anger is not turned away; His hand is still upraised.

邪恶像火焚烧

¹⁸邪恶像火焚烧，烧灭荆棘和蒺藜，在稠密的树林中着起来，就成为烟柱，旋转上腾。For wickedness burns like a fire that consumes the thorns and briers and kindles the forest thickets, which roll upward in billows of smoke.

¹⁹因万军之耶和华的烈怒，地都烧遍；百姓成为火柴；无人怜爱弟兄。By the wrath of the LORD of Hosts the land is scorched, and the people are fuel for the fire. No man even spares his brother.

²⁰有人右边抢夺，仍受饥饿，左边吞吃，仍不饱足；各人吃自己膀臂上的肉。They carve out what is on the right, but they are still hungry; they eat what is on the left, but they are still not satisfied. Each one devours the flesh of his own offspring.

²¹玛拿西吞吃（或译：攻击；下同）以法莲；以法莲吞吃玛拿西，又一同攻击犹大。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还未转消；他的手仍伸不缩。Manasseh devours Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; together they turn against Judah. Despite all this, His anger is not turned away; His hand is still upraised.

祸哉，设立不义律例的

¹祸哉！那些设立不义之律例的和记录奸诈之判语的，Woe to those who enact unjust statutes and issue oppressive decrees,

²为要屈枉穷乏人，夺去我民中困苦人的理，以寡妇当作掳物，以孤儿当作掠物。to deprive the poor of fair treatment and withhold justice from the oppressed of My people, to make widows their prey and orphans their plunder.

³到降罚的日子，有灾祸从远方临到，那时，你们怎样行呢？你们向谁逃奔求救呢？你们的荣耀（或译：财宝）存留何处呢？What will you do on the day of reckoning when devastation comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?

⁴他们只得屈身在被掳的人以下，仆倒在被杀的人以下。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还未转消；他的手仍伸不缩。Nothing will remain but to crouch among the captives or fall among the slain. Despite all this, His anger is not turned away; His hand is still upraised.

亚述是神怒气的棍

⁵亚述是我怒气的棍，手中拿我恼恨的杖。Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger; the staff in their hands is My wrath.

⁶我要打发他攻击亵渎的国民，吩咐他攻击我所恼怒的百姓，抢财为掳物，夺货为掠物，将他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。I will send him against a godless nation; I will dispatch him against a people destined for My rage, to take spoils and seize plunder, and to trample them down like clay in the streets.

⁷然而，他不是这样的意思；他心也不这样打算。他心里倒想毁灭，剪除不少的国。But this is not his intention; this is not his plan. For it is in his heart to destroy and cut off many nations.

⁸他说：我的臣仆岂不都是王吗？“Are not all my commanders kings?” he says.

⁹迦勒挪岂不像迦基米施吗？哈马岂不像亚珥拔吗？撒马利亚岂不像大马士革吗？“Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?

¹⁰我手已经搆到有偶像的国；这些国雕刻的偶像过于耶路撒冷和撒马利亚的偶像。As my hand seized the idolatrous kingdoms whose images surpassed those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

¹¹我怎样待撒马利亚和其中的偶像，岂不照样待耶路撒冷和其中的偶像吗？and as I have done to Samaria and its idols, will I not also do to Jerusalem and her idols?”

亚述王自夸必受罚

¹²主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的时候，主说：“我必罚亚述王自大的心和他高傲眼目的荣耀。”So when the Lord has completed all His work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the king of Assyria for the fruit of his arrogant heart and the proud look in his eyes.

¹³因为他说：我所成就的事是靠我手的能力和我的智慧，我本有聪明。我挪移列国的地界，抢夺他们所积蓄的财宝；并且我像勇士，使坐宝座的降为卑。For he says: ‘By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, for I am clever. I have removed the boundaries of nations and plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their rulers.

¹⁴我的手搆到列国的财宝，好像人搆到鸟窝；我也得了全地，好像人拾起所弃的雀蛋。没有动翅膀的；没有张嘴的，也没有鸣叫的。My hand reached as into a nest to seize the wealth of the nations. Like one gathering abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth. No wing fluttered, no beak opened or chirped.’”

¹⁵斧岂可向用斧砍木的自夸呢？锯岂可向用锯的自大呢？好比棍抡起那举棍的，好比杖举起那非木的人。Does an axe raise itself above the one who swings it? Does a saw boast over him who saws with it? It would be like a rod waving the one who lifts it, or a staff lifting him who is not wood!

¹⁶因此，主—万军之耶和华必使亚述王的肥壮人变为瘦弱，在他的荣华之下必有火着起，如同焚烧一样。Therefore the Lord GOD of Hosts will send a wasting disease among Assyria’s stout warriors, and under his pomp will be kindled a fire like a burning flame.

¹⁷以色列的光必如火；他的圣者必如火焰。在一日之间，将亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜焚烧净尽；And the Light of Israel will become a fire, and its Holy One a flame. In a single day it will burn and devour Assyria’s thorns and thistles.

¹⁸又将他树林和肥田的荣耀全然烧尽，好像拿军旗的昏过去一样。The splendor of its forests and orchards, both soul and body, it will completely destroy, as a sickness consumes a man.

¹⁹他林中剩下的树必稀少，就是孩子也能写其数。The remaining trees of its forests will be so few that a child could count them.

余民必归回

²⁰到那日，以色列所剩下的和雅各家所逃脱的，不再倚靠那击打他们的，却要诚实倚靠耶和华—以色列的圣者。On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer depend on him who struck them, but they will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.

²¹所剩下的，就是雅各家所剩下的，必归回全能的　神。A remnant will return—a remnant of Jacob—to the Mighty God.

²²以色列啊，你的百姓虽多如海沙，惟有剩下的归回。原来灭绝的事已定，必有公义施行，如水涨溢。Though your people, O Israel, be like the sand of the sea, only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overflowing with righteousness.

²³因为主—万军之耶和华在全地之中必成就所定规的结局。For the Lord GOD of Hosts will carry out the destruction decreed upon the whole land.

不要怕亚述

²⁴所以，主—万军之耶和华如此说：“住锡安我的百姓啊，亚述王虽然用棍击打你，又照埃及的样子举杖攻击你，你却不要怕他。Therefore this is what the Lord GOD of Hosts says: “O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear Assyria, who strikes you with a rod and lifts his staff against you as the Egyptians did.

²⁵因为还有一点点时候，向你们发的忿恨就要完毕，我的怒气要向他发作，使他灭亡。For in just a little while My fury against you will subside, and My anger will turn to their destruction.”

²⁶万军之耶和华要兴起鞭来攻击他，好像在俄立磐石那里杀戮米甸人一样。耶和华的杖要向海伸出，把杖举起，像在埃及一样。And the LORD of Hosts will brandish a whip against them, as when He struck Midian at the rock of Oreb. He will raise His staff over the sea, as He did in Egypt.

²⁷到那日，亚述王的重担必离开你的肩头；他的轭必离开你的颈项；那轭也必因肥壮的缘故撑断（或译：因膏油的缘故毁坏）。”On that day the burden will be lifted from your shoulders, and the yoke from your neck. The yoke will be broken because your neck will be too large.

亚述大军逼近

²⁸亚述王来到亚叶，经过米矶仑，在密抹安放辎重。Assyria has entered Aiath and passed through Migron, storing their supplies at Michmash.

²⁹他们过了隘口，在迦巴住宿。拉玛人战兢；扫罗的基比亚人逃跑。They have crossed at the ford: “We will spend the night at Geba.” Ramah trembles; Gibeah of Saul flees.

³⁰迦琳的居民（原文是女子）哪，要高声呼喊！莱煞人哪，须听！哀哉！困苦的亚拿突啊。Cry aloud, O Daughter of Gallim! Listen, O Laishah! O wretched Anathoth!

³¹玛得米那人躲避；基柄的居民逃遁。Madmenah flees; the people of Gebim take refuge.

³²当那日，亚述王要在挪伯歇兵，向锡安女子的山—就是耶路撒冷的山—抡手攻他。Yet today they will halt at Nob, shaking a fist at the mount of Daughter Zion, at the hill of Jerusalem.

³³看哪，主—万军之耶和华以惊吓削去树枝；长高的必被砍下，高大的必被伐倒。Behold, the Lord GOD of Hosts will lop off the branches with terrifying power. The tall trees will be cut down, the lofty ones will be felled.

³⁴稠密的树林，他要用铁器砍下；黎巴嫩的树木必被大能者伐倒。He will clear the forest thickets with an axe, and Lebanon will fall before the Mighty One.

耶西的根生出枝子

¹从耶西的本（原文是丕）必发一条；从他根生的枝子必结果实。Then a shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.

²耶和华的灵必住在他身上，就是使他有智慧和聪明的灵，谋略和能力的灵，知识和敬畏耶和华的灵。The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD.

³他必以敬畏耶和华为乐；行审判不凭眼见，断是非也不凭耳闻；And He will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what His eyes see, and He will not decide by what His ears hear,

⁴却要以公义审判贫穷人，以正直判断世上的谦卑人，以口中的杖击打世界，以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。but with righteousness He will judge the poor, and with equity He will decide for the lowly of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth and slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.

⁵公义必当他的腰带；信实必当他胁下的带子。Righteousness will be the belt around His hips, and faithfulness the sash around His waist.

豺狼与绵羊羔同居

⁶豺狼必与绵羊羔同居，豹子与山羊羔同卧；少壮狮子与牛犊并肥畜同群；小孩子要牵引它们。The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat; the calf and young lion and fatling will be together, and a little child will lead them.

⁷牛必与熊同食；牛犊必与小熊同卧；狮子必吃草，与牛一样。The cow will graze with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

⁸吃奶的孩子必玩耍在虺蛇的洞口；断奶的婴儿必按手在毒蛇的穴上。The infant will play by the cobra’s den, and the toddler will reach into the viper’s nest.

⁹在我圣山的遍处，这一切都不伤人，不害物；因为认识耶和华的知识要充满遍地，好像水充满洋海一般。They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the sea is full of water.

招回分散的百姓

¹⁰到那日，耶西的根立作万民的大旗；外邦人必寻求他，他安息之所大有荣耀。On that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples. The nations will seek Him, and His place of rest will be glorious.

¹¹当那日，主必二次伸手救回自己百姓中所余剩的，就是在亚述、埃及、巴忒罗、古实、以拦、示拿、哈马，并众海岛所剩下的。On that day the Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover the remnant of His people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

¹²他必向列国竖立大旗，招回以色列被赶散的人，又从地的四方聚集分散的犹大人。He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will collect the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

¹³以法莲的嫉妒就必消散；扰害犹大的必被剪除。以法莲必不嫉妒犹大，犹大也不扰害以法莲。Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, and the adversaries of Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will no longer envy Judah, nor will Judah harass Ephraim.

¹⁴他们要向西飞，扑在非利士人的肩头上（肩头上：或译西界），一同掳掠东方人，伸手按住以东和摩押；亚扪人也必顺服他们。They will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines to the west; together they will plunder the sons of the east. They will lay their hands on Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them.

¹⁵耶和华必使埃及海汊枯干，抡手用暴热的风使大河分为七条，令人过去不致湿脚。The LORD will devote to destruction the gulf of the Sea of Egypt; with a scorching wind He will sweep His hand over the Euphrates. He will split it into seven streams for men to cross with dry sandals.

¹⁶为主余剩的百姓，就是从亚述剩下回来的，必有一条大道，如当日以色列从埃及地上来一样。There will be a highway for the remnant of His people who remain from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from the land of Egypt.

称谢耶和华的诗歌

¹到那日，你必说：耶和华啊，我要称谢你！因为你虽然向我发怒，你的怒气却已转消；你又安慰了我。In that day you will say: “O LORD, I will praise You. Although You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You have comforted me.

²看哪！　神是我的拯救；我要倚靠他，并不惧怕。因为主耶和华是我的力量，是我的诗歌，他也成了我的拯救。Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. For the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and He also has become my salvation.”

³所以，你们必从救恩的泉源欢然取水。With joy you will draw water from the springs of salvation,

⁴在那日，你们要说：当称谢耶和华，求告他的名；将他所行的传扬在万民中，提说他的名已被尊崇。and on that day you will say: “Give praise to the LORD; proclaim His name! Make His works known among the peoples; declare that His name is exalted.

⁵你们要向耶和华唱歌，因他所行的甚是美好；但愿这事普传天下。Sing to the LORD, for He has done glorious things. Let this be known in all the earth.

⁶锡安的居民哪，当扬声欢呼，因为在你们中间的以色列圣者乃为至大。Cry out and sing, O citizen of Zion, for great among you is the Holy One of Israel.”

与蒙召的恩相称

¹我为主被囚的劝你们：既然蒙召，行事为人就当与蒙召的恩相称。As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received:

³用和平彼此联络，竭力保守圣灵所赐合而为一的心。and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

一个身体，一个圣灵

⁴身体只有一个，圣灵只有一个，正如你们蒙召同有一个指望。There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;

⁵一主，一信，一洗，one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

⁶一　神，就是众人的父，超乎众人之上，贯乎众人之中，也住在众人之内。one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

基督所赐的恩赐

⁷我们各人蒙恩，都是照基督所量给各人的恩赐。Now to each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

⁸所以经上说：他升上高天的时候，掳掠了仇敌，将各样的恩赐赏给人。This is why it says: “When He ascended on high, He led captives away, and gave gifts to men.”

⁹（既说升上，岂不是先降在地下吗？What does “He ascended” mean, except that He also descended to the lower parts of the earth?

¹⁰那降下的，就是远升诸天之上要充满万有的。）He who descended is the very One who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things.

建立基督的身体

¹¹他所赐的，有使徒，有先知，有传福音的，有牧师和教师，And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

¹²为要成全圣徒，各尽其职，建立基督的身体，to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ,

¹³直等到我们众人在真道上同归于一，认识　神的儿子，得以长大成人，满有基督长成的身量，until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

不再作小孩子

¹⁴使我们不再作小孩子，中了人的诡计和欺骗的法术，被一切异教之风摇动，飘来飘去，就随从各样的异端；Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.

¹⁵惟用爱心说诚实话，凡事长进，连于元首基督，Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.

¹⁶全身都靠他联络得合式，百节各按各职，照着各体的功用彼此相助，便叫身体渐渐增长，在爱中建立自己。From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.
