找到第一批归回者的家谱

⁵我的　神感动我心，招聚贵胄、官长，和百姓，要照家谱计算。我找着第一次上来之人的家谱，其上写着：Then my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials, and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. I found the genealogical register of those who had first returned, and I found the following written in it:

归回者的名单

⁶巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒从前掳去犹大省的人，现在他们的子孙从被掳到之地回耶路撒冷和犹大，各归本城。These are the people of the province who came up from the captivity of the exiles carried away to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar its king. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his own town,

⁷他们是同着所罗巴伯、耶书亚、尼希米、亚撒利雅、拉米、拿哈玛尼、末底改、必珊、米斯毗列、比革瓦伊、尼宏、巴拿回来的。accompanied by Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. This is the count of the men of Israel:

⁶⁰尼提宁和所罗门仆人的后裔共三百九十二名。The temple servants and descendants of the servants of Solomon numbered 392 in all.

查不出家谱的人

⁶¹从特米拉、特哈萨、基绿、亚顿、音麦上来的，不能指明他们的宗族谱系是以色列人不是；The following came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not prove that their families were descended from Israel:

⁶²他们是第莱雅的子孙、多比雅的子孙、尼哥大的子孙，共六百四十二名。the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, and the descendants of Nekoda, 642 in all.

⁶³祭司中，哈巴雅的子孙、哈哥斯的子孙、巴西莱的子孙；因为他们的先祖娶了基列人巴西莱的女儿为妻，所以起名叫巴西莱。And from among the priests: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, and the descendants of Barzillai (who had married a daughter of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name).

⁶⁴这三家的人在族谱之中寻查自己的谱系，却寻不着，因此算为不洁，不准供祭司的职任。These men searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.

⁶⁵省长对他们说：“不可吃至圣的物，直到有用乌陵和土明决疑的祭司兴起来。”The governor ordered them not to eat the most holy things until there was a priest to consult the Urim and Thummim.

会众总数与捐献

⁶⁶会众共有四万二千三百六十名。The whole assembly numbered 42,360,

⁶⁷此外，还有他们的仆婢七千三百三十七名，又有歌唱的男女二百四十五名。in addition to their 7,337 menservants and maidservants, as well as their 245 male and female singers.

⁶⁸他们有马七百三十六匹，骡子二百四十五匹，They had 736 horses, 245 mules,

⁶⁹骆驼四百三十五只，驴六千七百二十匹。435 camels, and 6,720 donkeys.

⁷⁰有些族长为工程捐助。省长捐入库中的金子一千达利克，碗五十个，祭司的礼服五百三十件。Some of the heads of the families contributed to the project. The governor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics of gold, 50 bowls, and 530 priestly garments.

⁷¹又有族长捐入工程库的金子二万达利克，银子二千二百弥拿。And some of the heads of the families gave to the treasury for the project 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver.

⁷²其余百姓所捐的金子二万达利克，银子二千弥拿，祭司的礼服六十七件。The rest of the people gave a total of 20,000 darics of gold, 2,000 minas of silver, and 67 priestly garments.

⁷³于是祭司、利未人、守门的、歌唱的、民中的一些人、尼提宁，并以色列众人，各住在自己的城里。So the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, and temple servants, along with some of the people and the rest of the Israelites, settled in their own towns. And by the seventh month the Israelites had settled in their towns.

以斯拉宣读律法

¹到了七月，以色列人住在自己的城里。那时，他们如同一人聚集在水门前的宽阔处，请文士以斯拉将耶和华借摩西传给以色列人的律法书带来。At that time all the people gathered together in the square before the Water Gate, and they asked Ezra the scribe to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded for Israel.

²七月初一日，祭司以斯拉将律法书带到听了能明白的男女会众面前。On the first day of the seventh month, Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could listen and understand.

³在水门前的宽阔处，从清早到晌午，在众男女、一切听了能明白的人面前读这律法书。众民侧耳而听。So Ezra read it aloud from daybreak until noon as he faced the square before the Water Gate, in front of the men and women and those who could understand. And all the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law.

⁴文士以斯拉站在为这事特备的木台上。玛他提雅、示玛、亚奈雅、乌利亚、希勒家，和玛西雅站在他的右边；毗大雅、米沙利、玛基雅、哈顺、哈拔大拿、撒迦利亚，和米书兰站在他的左边。Ezra the scribe stood on a high wooden platform built for this occasion. At his right side stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, and at his left were Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hash-baddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

⁵以斯拉站在众民以上，在众民眼前展开这书。他一展开，众民就都站起来。Ezra opened the book in full view of all the people, since he was standing above them all, and as he opened it, all the people stood up.

⁶以斯拉称颂耶和华至大的　神；众民都举手应声说：“阿们！阿们！”就低头，面伏于地，敬拜耶和华。Then Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and with their hands uplifted, all the people said, “Amen, Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

利未人讲明意思

⁷耶书亚、巴尼、示利比、雅悯、亚谷、沙比太、荷第雅、玛西雅、基利他、亚撒利雅、约撒拔、哈难、毗莱雅，和利未人使百姓明白律法；百姓都站在自己的地方。The Levites—Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah—instructed the people in the Law as they stood in their places.

⁸他们清清楚楚地念　神的律法书，讲明意思，使百姓明白所念的。So they read from the Book of the Law of God, explaining it and giving insight, so that the people could understand what was being read.

今日是圣日，不要忧愁

⁹省长尼希米和作祭司的文士以斯拉，并教训百姓的利未人，对众民说：“今日是耶和华—你们　神的圣日，不要悲哀哭泣。”这是因为众民听见律法书上的话都哭了；Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to all of them, “This day is holy to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the Law.

¹⁰又对他们说：“你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今日是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因靠耶和华而得的喜乐是你们的力量。”Then Nehemiah told them, “Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send out portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

¹¹于是利未人使众民静默，说：“今日是圣日；不要作声，也不要忧愁。”And the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, since today is holy. Do not grieve.”

¹²众民都去吃喝，也分给人，大大快乐，因为他们明白所教训他们的话。Then all the people began to eat and drink, to send out portions, and to rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that had been made known to them.

发现住棚节的条例

¹³次日，众民的族长、祭司，和利未人都聚集到文士以斯拉那里，要留心听律法上的话。On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and Levites, gathered around Ezra the scribe to study the words of the Law.

¹⁴他们见律法上写着，耶和华借摩西吩咐以色列人要在七月节住棚，And they found written in the Law, which the LORD had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month,

¹⁵并要在各城和耶路撒冷宣传报告说：“你们当上山，将橄榄树、野橄榄树、番石榴树、棕树，和各样茂密树的枝子取来，照着所写的搭棚。”and that they should proclaim this message and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the hill country and bring back branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.”

搭棚守节七日

¹⁶于是百姓出去，取了树枝来，各人在自己的房顶上，或院内，或　神殿的院内，或水门的宽阔处，或以法莲门的宽阔处搭棚。And the people went out, brought back branches, and made booths on their own rooftops, in their courtyards, in the courts of the house of God, and in the squares by the Water Gate and by the Gate of Ephraim.

¹⁷从掳到之地归回的全会众就搭棚，住在棚里。从嫩的儿子约书亚的时候直到这日，以色列人没有这样行。于是众人大大喜乐。The whole assembly that had returned from exile made booths and lived in them. From the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated like this. And there was great rejoicing.

¹⁸从头一天直到末一天，以斯拉每日念　神的律法书。众人守节七日，第八日照例有严肃会。Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. The Israelites kept the feast for seven days, and on the eighth day they held an assembly, according to the ordinance.

保罗第三次出发

²³住了些日子，又离开那里，挨次经过加拉太和弗吕家地方，坚固众门徒。After Paul had spent some time in Antioch, he traveled from place to place throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

亚波罗在以弗所

²⁴有一个犹太人，名叫亚波罗，来到以弗所。他生在亚历山大，是有学问（或译：口才）的，最能讲解圣经。Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, well versed in the Scriptures.

²⁵这人已经在主的道上受了教训，心里火热，将耶稣的事详细讲论教训人；只是他单晓得约翰的洗礼。He had been instructed in the way of the Lord and was fervent in spirit. He spoke and taught accurately about Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John.

²⁶他在会堂里放胆讲道；百基拉、亚居拉听见，就接他来，将　神的道给他讲解更加详细。And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

亚波罗往亚该亚

²⁷他想要往亚该亚去，弟兄们就勉励他，并写信请门徒接待他（或译：弟兄们就写信劝门徒接待他）。他到了那里，多帮助那蒙恩信主的人，When Apollos resolved to cross over to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. On his arrival, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed.

²⁸在众人面前极有能力驳倒犹太人，引圣经证明耶稣是基督。For he powerfully refuted the Jews in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

以弗所的十二个门徒

¹亚波罗在哥林多的时候，保罗经过了上边一带地方，就来到以弗所；在那里遇见几个门徒，While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the interior and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples

²问他们说：“你们信的时候受了圣灵没有？”他们回答说：“没有，也未曾听见有圣灵赐下来。”and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” “No,” they answered, “we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

³保罗说：“这样，你们受的是什么洗呢？”他们说：“是约翰的洗。”“Into what, then, were you baptized?” Paul asked. “The baptism of John,” they replied.

⁴保罗说：“约翰所行的是悔改的洗，告诉百姓当信那在他以后要来的，就是耶稣。”Paul explained: “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the One coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”

⁵他们听见这话，就奉主耶稣的名受洗。On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁶保罗按手在他们头上，圣灵便降在他们身上，他们就说方言，又说预言（或译：又讲道）。And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

⁷一共约有十二个人。There were about twelve men in all.

在会堂和推喇奴的学房辩论

⁸保罗进会堂，放胆讲道，一连三个月，辩论　神国的事，劝化众人。Then Paul went into the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.

⁹后来，有些人心里刚硬不信，在众人面前毁谤这道，保罗就离开他们，也叫门徒与他们分离，便在推喇奴的学房天天辩论。But when some of them stubbornly refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way, Paul took his disciples and left the synagogue to conduct daily discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.

¹⁰这样有两年之久，叫一切住在亚细亚的，无论是犹太人，是希腊人，都听见主的道。This continued for two years, so that everyone who lived in the province of Asia, Jews and Greeks alike, heard the word of the Lord.

神藉保罗行非常的奇事

¹¹神借保罗的手行了些非常的奇事；God did extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul,

¹²甚至有人从保罗身上拿手巾或围裙放在病人身上，病就退了，恶鬼也出去了。so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and the diseases and evil spirits left them.

士基瓦七个儿子的事

¹³那时，有几个游行各处、念咒赶鬼的犹太人，向那被恶鬼附的人擅自称主耶稣的名，说：“我奉保罗所传的耶稣敕令你们出来！”Now there were some itinerant Jewish exorcists who tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those with evil spirits. They would say, “I command you by Jesus, whom Paul proclaims.”

¹⁴做这事的，有犹太祭司长士基瓦的七个儿子。Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.

¹⁵恶鬼回答他们说：“耶稣我认识，保罗我也知道。你们却是谁呢？”But one day the evil spirit responded, “Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?”

¹⁶恶鬼所附的人就跳在他们身上，胜了其中二人，制伏他们，叫他们赤着身子受了伤，从那房子里逃出去了。Then the man with the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. The attack was so violent that they ran out of the house naked and wounded.

¹⁷凡住在以弗所的，无论是犹太人，是希腊人，都知道这事，也都惧怕；主耶稣的名从此就尊大了。This became known to all the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, and fear came over all of them. So the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.

焚烧邪术的书

¹⁸那已经信的，多有人来承认诉说自己所行的事。Many who had believed now came forward, confessing and disclosing their deeds.

¹⁹平素行邪术的，也有许多人把书拿来，堆积在众人面前焚烧。他们算计书价，便知道共合五万块钱。And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books and burned them in front of everyone. When the value of the books was calculated, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.

²⁰主的道大大兴旺，而且得胜，就是这样。So the word of the Lord powerfully continued to spread and prevail.
