希西家专心倚靠耶和华

¹以色列王以拉的儿子何细亚第三年，犹大王亚哈斯的儿子希西家登基。In the third year of the reign of Hoshea son of Elah over Israel, Hezekiah son of Ahaz became king of Judah.

²他登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母亲名叫亚比，是撒迦利雅的女儿。He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Abi, the daughter of Zechariah.

³希西家行耶和华眼中看为正的事，效法他祖大卫一切所行的。And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.

⁴他废去邱坛，毁坏柱像，砍下木偶，打碎摩西所造的铜蛇，因为到那时以色列人仍向铜蛇烧香。希西家叫铜蛇为铜块（或译：人称铜蛇为铜像）。He removed the high places, shattered the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He also demolished the bronze snake called Nehushtan that Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had burned incense to it.

⁵希西家倚靠耶和华—以色列的　神，在他前后的犹大列王中没有一个及他的。Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. No king of Judah was like him, either before him or after him.

⁶因为他专靠耶和华，总不离开，谨守耶和华所吩咐摩西的诫命。He remained faithful to the LORD and did not turn from following Him; he kept the commandments that the LORD had given Moses.

⁷耶和华与他同在，他无论往何处去尽都亨通。他背叛、不肯事奉亚述王。And the LORD was with Hezekiah, and he prospered wherever he went. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and refused to serve him.

⁸希西家攻击非利士人，直到迦萨，并迦萨的四境，从了望楼到坚固城。He defeated the Philistines as far as Gaza and its borders, from watchtower to fortified city.

回顾撒马利亚陷落

⁹希西家王第四年，就是以色列王以拉的儿子何细亚第七年，亚述王撒缦以色上来围困撒马利亚；In the fourth year of Hezekiah’s reign, which was the seventh year of the reign of Hoshea son of Elah over Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria marched against Samaria and besieged it.

¹⁰过了三年就攻取了城。希西家第六年，以色列王何细亚第九年，撒马利亚被攻取了。And at the end of three years, the Assyrians captured it. So Samaria was captured in the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel.

¹¹亚述王将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并米底亚人的城邑；The king of Assyria exiled the Israelites to Assyria and settled them in Halah, in Gozan by the Habor River, and in the cities of the Medes.

¹²都因他们不听从耶和华—他们　神的话，违背他的约，就是耶和华仆人摩西吩咐他们所当守的。This happened because they did not listen to the voice of the LORD their God, but violated His covenant—all that Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded—and would neither listen nor obey.

西拿基立攻打犹大

¹³希西家王十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大的一切坚固城，将城攻取。In the fourteenth year of Hezekiah’s reign, Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked and captured all the fortified cities of Judah.

¹⁴犹大王希西家差人往拉吉去见亚述王，说：“我有罪了，求你离开我；凡你罚我的，我必承当。”于是亚述王罚犹大王希西家银子三百他连得，金子三十他连得。So Hezekiah king of Judah sent word to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “I have done wrong; withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand from me.” And the king of Assyria exacted from Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

¹⁵希西家就把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace.

¹⁶那时，犹大王希西家将耶和华殿门上的金子和他自己包在柱上的金子都刮下来，给了亚述王。At that time Hezekiah stripped the gold with which he had plated the doors and doorposts of the temple of the LORD, and he gave it to the king of Assyria.

拉伯沙基在城下喊话

¹⁷亚述王从拉吉差遣他珥探、拉伯撒利，和拉伯沙基率领大军往耶路撒冷，到希西家王那里去。他们上到耶路撒冷，就站在上池的水沟旁，在漂布地的大路上。Nevertheless, the king of Assyria sent the Tartan, the Rabsaris, and the Rabshakeh, along with a great army, from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem. They advanced up to Jerusalem and stationed themselves by the aqueduct of the upper pool, on the road to the Launderer’s Field.

¹⁸他们呼叫王的时候，就有希勒家的儿子家宰以利亚敬，并书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚，出来见他们。Then they called for the king. And Eliakim son of Hilkiah the palace administrator, Shebnah the scribe, and Joah son of Asaph the recorder, went out to them.

¹⁹拉伯沙基说：“你们去告诉希西家说，亚述大王如此说：‘你所倚靠的有什么可仗赖的呢？The Rabshakeh said to them, “Tell Hezekiah that this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: What is the basis of this confidence of yours?

²⁰你说有打仗的计谋和能力，我看不过是虚话。你到底倚靠谁才背叛我呢？You claim to have a strategy and strength for war, but these are empty words. In whom are you now trusting, that you have rebelled against me?

²¹看哪，你所倚靠的埃及是那压伤的苇杖；人若靠这杖，就必刺透他的手。埃及王法老向一切倚靠他的人也是这样。Look now, you are trusting in Egypt, that splintered reed of a staff that will pierce the hand of anyone who leans on it. Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

²²你们若对我说：我们倚靠耶和华—我们的　神，希西家岂不是将　神的邱坛和祭坛废去，且对犹大和耶路撒冷的人说：你们当在耶路撒冷这坛前敬拜吗？But if you say to me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ is He not the One whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem: ‘You must worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?

²³现在你把当头给我主亚述王，我给你二千匹马，看你这一面骑马的人够不够。Now, therefore, make a bargain with my master, the king of Assyria. I will give you two thousand horses—if you can put riders on them!

²⁴若不然，怎能打败我主臣仆中最小的军长呢？你竟倚靠埃及的战车马兵吗？For how can you repel a single officer among the least of my master’s servants when you depend on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

²⁵现在我上来攻击毁灭这地，岂没有耶和华的意思吗？耶和华吩咐我说：你上去攻击毁灭这地吧！’”So now, was it apart from the LORD that I have come up against this place to destroy it? The LORD Himself said to me, ‘Go up against this land and destroy it.’”

求你用亚兰言语

²⁶希勒家的儿子以利亚敬和舍伯那，并约亚，对拉伯沙基说：“求你用亚兰言语和仆人说话，因为我们懂得；不要用犹大言语和我们说话，达到城上百姓的耳中。”Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah, along with Shebnah and Joah, said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, since we understand it. Do not speak with us in Hebrew in the hearing of the people on the wall.”

²⁷拉伯沙基说：“我主差遣我来，岂是单对你和你的主说这些话吗？不也是对这些坐在城上、要与你们一同吃自己粪、喝自己尿的人说吗？”But the Rabshakeh replied, “Has my master sent me to speak these words only to you and your master, and not to the men sitting on the wall, who are destined with you to eat their own dung and drink their own urine?”

拉伯沙基恐吓百姓

²⁸于是拉伯沙基站着，用犹大言语大声喊着说：“你们当听亚述大王的话！Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out loudly in Hebrew: “Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

²⁹王如此说：‘你们不要被希西家欺哄了；因他不能救你们脱离我的手。This is what the king says: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you; he cannot deliver you from my hand.

³⁰也不要听希西家使你们倚靠耶和华，说耶和华必要拯救我们，这城必不交在亚述王的手中。’Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the LORD when he says, ‘The LORD will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

³¹不要听希西家的话！因亚述王如此说：‘你们要与我和好，出来投降我，各人就可以吃自己葡萄树和无花果树的果子，喝自己井里的水。Do not listen to Hezekiah, for this is what the king of Assyria says: Make peace with me and come out to me. Then every one of you will eat from his own vine and his own fig tree and drink water from his own cistern,

³²等我来领你们到一个地方与你们本地一样，就是有五谷和新酒之地，有粮食和葡萄园之地，有橄榄树和蜂蜜之地，好使你们存活，不至于死。希西家劝导你们，说耶和华必拯救我们；你们不要听他的话。until I come and take you away to a land like your own—a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey—so that you may live and not die. But do not listen to Hezekiah, for he misleads you when he says, ‘The LORD will deliver us.’

³³列国的神有哪一个救他本国脱离亚述王的手呢？Has the god of any nation ever delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?

³⁴哈马、亚珥拔的神在哪里呢？西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦的神在哪里呢？他们曾救撒马利亚脱离我的手吗？Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?

³⁵这些国的神有谁曾救自己的国脱离我的手呢？难道耶和华能救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗？’”Who among all the gods of these lands has delivered his land from my hand? How then can the LORD deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”

³⁶百姓静默不言，并不回答一句，因为王曾吩咐说：“不要回答他。”But the people remained silent and did not answer a word, for Hezekiah had commanded, “Do not answer him.”

³⁷当下，希勒家的儿子家宰以利亚敬和书记舍伯那，并亚萨的儿子史官约亚，都撕裂衣服，来到希西家那里，将拉伯沙基的话告诉了他。Then Hilkiah’s son Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the scribe, and Asaph’s son Joah the recorder came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and they relayed to him the words of the Rabshakeh.

希西家求以赛亚祷告

¹希西家王听见，就撕裂衣服，披上麻布，进了耶和华的殿；On hearing this report, King Hezekiah tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and entered the house of the LORD.

²使家宰以利亚敬和书记舍伯那，并祭司中的长老，都披上麻布，去见亚摩斯的儿子先知以赛亚，And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz

³对他说：“希西家如此说：‘今日是急难、责罚、凌辱的日子，就如妇人将要生产婴孩，却没有力量生产。to tell him, “This is what Hezekiah says: Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace; for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.

⁴或者耶和华—你的　神听见拉伯沙基的一切话，就是他主人亚述王打发他来辱骂永生　神的话，耶和华—你的　神听见这话，就发斥责。故此，求你为余剩的民扬声祷告。’”Perhaps the LORD your God will hear all the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to defy the living God, and He will rebuke him for the words that the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up a prayer for the remnant that still survives.”

⁵希西家王的臣仆就去见以赛亚。So the servants of King Hezekiah went to Isaiah,

⁶以赛亚对他们说：“要这样对你们的主人说，耶和华如此说：‘你听见亚述王的仆人亵渎我的话，不要惧怕。who replied, “Tell your master that this is what the LORD says: ‘Do not be afraid of the words you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.

⁷我必惊动（原文是使灵进入）他的心，他要听见风声就归回本地。我必使他在那里倒在刀下。’”Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land, where I will cause him to fall by the sword.’”

亚述王的恐吓信

⁸拉伯沙基回去，正遇见亚述王攻打立拿，原来他早听见亚述王拔营离开拉吉。When the Rabshakeh heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish, he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah.

⁹亚述王听见人论古实王特哈加说：“他出来要与你争战。”于是亚述王又打发使者去见希西家，吩咐他们说：Now Sennacherib had been warned about Tirhakah king of Cush: “Look, he has set out to fight against you.” So Sennacherib again sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

¹⁰“你们对犹大王希西家如此说：‘不要听你所倚靠的　神欺哄你，说耶路撒冷必不交在亚述王的手中。“Give this message to Hezekiah king of Judah: ‘Do not let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you by saying that Jerusalem will not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

¹¹你总听说亚述诸王向列国所行的，乃是尽行灭绝，难道你还能得救吗？Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the other countries, devoting them to destruction. Will you then be spared?

希西家在殿中祷告

¹⁴希西家从使者手里接过书信来，看完了，就上耶和华的殿，将书信在耶和华面前展开。So Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers, read it, and went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.

¹⁵希西家向耶和华祷告说：“坐在二基路伯上耶和华—以色列的　神啊，你是天下万国的　神，你曾创造天地。And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD: “O LORD, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.

¹⁶耶和华啊，求你侧耳而听！耶和华啊，求你睁眼而看！要听西拿基立打发使者来辱骂永生　神的话。Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see. Listen to the words that Sennacherib has sent to defy the living God.

¹⁷耶和华啊，亚述诸王果然使列国和列国之地变为荒凉，Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste these nations and their lands.

¹⁸将列国的神像都扔在火里；因为它本不是神，乃是人手所造的，是木头石头的，所以灭绝它。They have cast their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods, but only wood and stone—the work of human hands.

¹⁹耶和华—我们的　神啊，现在求你救我们脱离亚述王的手，使天下万国都知道惟独你—耶和华是　神！”And now, O LORD our God, please save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O LORD, are God.”

神借以赛亚回应

²⁰亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚就打发人去见希西家，说：“耶和华—以色列的　神如此说：‘你既然求我攻击亚述王西拿基立，我已听见了。’Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I have heard your prayer concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria.

²¹耶和华论他这样说：锡安的处女藐视你，嗤笑你；耶路撒冷的女子向你摇头。This is the word that the LORD has spoken against him: ‘The Virgin Daughter of Zion despises you and mocks you; the Daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head behind you.

²²你辱骂谁？亵渎谁？扬起声来，高举眼目攻击谁呢？乃是攻击以色列的圣者！Whom have you taunted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!

²³你借你的使者辱骂主，并说：我率领许多战车上山顶，到黎巴嫩极深之处；我要砍伐其中高大的香柏树和佳美的松树；我必上极高之处，进入肥田的树林。Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, and you have said: “With my many chariots I have ascended to the heights of the mountains, to the remote peaks of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars, the finest of its cypresses. I have reached its farthest outposts, the densest of its forests.

²⁴我已经在外邦挖井喝水；我必用脚掌踏干埃及的一切河。I have dug wells and drunk foreign waters. With the soles of my feet I have dried up all the streams of Egypt.”

²⁵耶和华说，我早先所做的，古时所立的，就是现在借你使坚固城荒废，变为乱堆，这事你岂没有听见吗？Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it; in days of old I planned it. Now I have brought it to pass, that you should crush fortified cities into piles of rubble.

²⁶所以其中的居民力量甚小，惊惶羞愧。他们像野草，像青菜，如房顶上的草，又如未长成而枯干的禾稼。Therefore their inhabitants, devoid of power, are dismayed and ashamed. They are like plants in the field, tender green shoots, grass on the rooftops, scorched before it is grown.

²⁷你坐下，你出去，你进来，你向我发烈怒，我都知道。But I know your sitting down, your going out and coming in, and your raging against Me.

²⁸因你向我发烈怒，又因你狂傲的话达到我耳中，我就要用钩子钩上你的鼻子，把嚼环放在你口里，使你从你来的路转回去。Because your rage and arrogance against Me have reached My ears, I will put My hook in your nose and My bit in your mouth; I will send you back the way you came.’

给希西家的证据

²⁹“以色列人哪，我赐你们一个证据：你们今年要吃自生的，明年也要吃自长的；至于后年，你们要耕种收割，栽植葡萄园，吃其中的果子。And this will be a sign to you, O Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will sow and reap; you will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

³⁰犹大家所逃脱余剩的，仍要往下扎根，向上结果。And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root below and bear fruit above.

³¹必有余剩的民从耶路撒冷而出；必有逃脱的人从锡安山而来。耶和华的热心必成就这事。For a remnant will go forth from Jerusalem, and survivors from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.

神必保护这城

³²“所以，耶和华论亚述王如此说：‘他必不得来到这城，也不在这里射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不筑垒攻城。So this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: ‘He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow into it. He will not come before it with a shield or build up a siege ramp against it.

³³他从哪条路来，必从那条路回去，必不得来到这城。这是耶和华说的。He will go back the way he came, and he will not enter this city, declares the LORD.

³⁴因我为自己的缘故，又为我仆人大卫的缘故，必保护拯救这城。’”I will defend this city and save it for My own sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”

亚述大军覆没

³⁵当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，一看，都是死尸了。And that very night the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 men in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

³⁶亚述王西拿基立就拔营回去，住在尼尼微。So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.

³⁷一日在他的神尼斯洛庙里叩拜，他儿子亚得米勒和沙利色用刀杀了他，就逃到亚拉腊地。他儿子以撒哈顿接续他作王。One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer put him to the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat. And his son Esar-haddon reigned in his place.

我父的家里有许多住处

¹“你们心里不要忧愁；你们信　神，也当信我。“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.

²在我父的家里有许多住处；若是没有，我就早已告诉你们了。我去原是为你们预备地方去。In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

³我若去为你们预备了地方，就必再来接你们到我那里去，我在哪里，叫你们也在那里。And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.

⁴我往哪里去，你们知道；那条路，你们也知道（有古卷：我往哪里去，你们知道那条路）。”You know the way to the place where I am going.”

我就是道路、真理、生命

⁵多马对他说：“主啊，我们不知道你往哪里去，怎么知道那条路呢？”“Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?”

⁶耶稣说：“我就是道路、真理、生命；若不借着我，没有人能到父那里去。Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

⁷你们若认识我，也就认识我的父。从今以后，你们认识他，并且已经看见他。”If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”

看见了我，就是看见了父

⁸腓力对他说：“求主将父显给我们看，我们就知足了。”Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”

⁹耶稣对他说：“腓力，我与你们同在这样长久，你还不认识我吗？人看见了我，就是看见了父；你怎么说‘将父显给我们看’呢？Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

¹⁰我在父里面，父在我里面，你不信吗？我对你们所说的话，不是凭着自己说的，乃是住在我里面的父做他自己的事。Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.

¹¹你们当信我，我在父里面，父在我里面；即或不信，也当因我所做的事信我。Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves.

信的人要做更大的事

¹²我实实在在地告诉你们，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，并且要做比这更大的事，因为我往父那里去。Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

¹³你们奉我的名无论求什么，我必成就，叫父因儿子得荣耀。And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁴你们若奉我的名求什么，我必成就。”If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.

另外一位保惠师

¹⁵“你们若爱我，就必遵守我的命令。If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

¹⁶我要求父，父就另外赐给你们一位保惠师（或译：训慰师；下同），叫他永远与你们同在，And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—

¹⁷就是真理的圣灵，乃世人不能接受的；因为不见他，也不认识他。你们却认识他，因他常与你们同在，也要在你们里面。the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.

¹⁸我不撇下你们为孤儿，我必到你们这里来。I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

¹⁹还有不多的时候，世人不再看见我，你们却看见我；因为我活着，你们也要活着。In a little while the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live.

²⁰到那日，你们就知道我在父里面，你们在我里面，我也在你们里面。On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.

²¹有了我的命令又遵守的，这人就是爱我的；爱我的必蒙我父爱他，我也要爱他，并且要向他显现。”Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”

向爱祂的人显现

²²犹大（不是加略人犹大）问耶稣说：“主啊，为什么要向我们显现，不向世人显现呢？”Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”

²³耶稣回答说：“人若爱我，就必遵守我的道；我父也必爱他，并且我们要到他那里去，与他同住。Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

²⁴不爱我的人就不遵守我的道。你们所听见的道不是我的，乃是差我来之父的道。Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.

我留下平安给你们

²⁵“我还与你们同住的时候，已将这些话对你们说了。All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you.

²⁶但保惠师，就是父因我的名所要差来的圣灵，他要将一切的事指教你们，并且要叫你们想起我对你们所说的一切话。But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.

²⁷我留下平安给你们；我将我的平安赐给你们。我所赐的，不像世人所赐的。你们心里不要忧愁，也不要胆怯。Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.

我去还要到你们这里来

²⁸你们听见我对你们说了，我去还要到你们这里来。你们若爱我，因我到父那里去，就必喜乐，因为父是比我大的。You heard Me say, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.

²⁹现在事情还没有成就，我预先告诉你们，叫你们到事情成就的时候就可以信。And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe.

³⁰以后我不再和你们多说话，因为这世界的王将到。他在我里面是毫无所有；I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me.

³¹但要叫世人知道我爱父，并且父怎样吩咐我，我就怎样行。起来，我们走吧！”But I do exactly what the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Get up! Let us go on from here.
