所罗门国中的繁荣

²⁰犹大人和以色列人如同海边的沙那样多，都吃喝快乐。The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore, and they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.

²¹所罗门统管诸国，从大河到非利士地，直到埃及的边界。所罗门在世的日子，这些国都进贡服事他。And Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These kingdoms offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

²²所罗门每日所用的食物：细面三十歌珥，粗面六十歌珥，Solomon’s provisions for a single day were thirty cors of fine flour, sixty cors of meal,

²³肥牛十只，草场的牛二十只，羊一百只，还有鹿、羚羊、麃子，并肥禽。ten fat oxen, twenty range oxen, and a hundred sheep, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened poultry.

²⁴所罗门管理大河西边的诸王，以及从提弗萨直到迦萨的全地，四境尽都平安。For Solomon had dominion over everything west of the Euphrates—over all the kingdoms from Tiphsah to Gaza—and he had peace on all sides.

²⁵所罗门在世的日子，从但到别是巴的犹大人和以色列人都在自己的葡萄树下和无花果树下安然居住。Throughout the days of Solomon, Judah and Israel dwelt securely from Dan to Beersheba, each man under his own vine and his own fig tree.

²⁶所罗门有套车的马四万，还有马兵一万二千。Solomon had 4,000 stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.

²⁷那十二个官吏各按各月供给所罗门王，并一切与他同席之人的食物，一无所缺。Each month the governors in turn provided food for King Solomon and all who came to his table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.

²⁸众人各按各分，将养马与快马的大麦和干草送到官吏那里。Each one also brought to the required place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and other horses.

所罗门的智慧

²⁹神赐给所罗门极大的智慧聪明和广大的心，如同海沙不可测量。And God gave Solomon wisdom, exceedingly deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, like the sand on the seashore.

³⁰所罗门的智慧超过东方人和埃及人的一切智慧。Solomon’s wisdom was greater than that of all the men of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.

³¹他的智慧胜过万人，胜过以斯拉人以探，并玛曷的儿子希幔、甲各、达大的智慧。他的名声传扬在四围的列国。He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.

³²他作箴言三千句，诗歌一千零五首。Solomon composed three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered a thousand and five.

³³他讲论草木，自黎巴嫩的香柏树直到墙上长的牛膝草，又讲论飞禽走兽、昆虫水族。He spoke of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing in the wall, and he taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.

³⁴天下列王听见所罗门的智慧，就都差人来听他的智慧话。So men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

与泰尔王希兰立约

¹泰尔王希兰，平素爱大卫；他听见以色列人膏所罗门，接续他父亲作王，就差遣臣仆来见他。Now when Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king in his father’s place, he sent envoys to Solomon; for Hiram had always been a friend of David.

²所罗门也差遣人去见希兰，说：And Solomon relayed this message to Hiram:

³“你知道我父亲大卫因四围的争战，不能为耶和华—他　神的名建殿，直等到耶和华使仇敌都服在他脚下。“As you are well aware, due to the wars waged on all sides against my father David, he could not build a house for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD had put his enemies under his feet.

⁴现在耶和华—我的　神使我四围平安，没有仇敌，没有灾祸。But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or crisis.

⁵我定意要为耶和华—我　神的名建殿，是照耶和华应许我父亲大卫的话说：‘我必使你儿子接续你坐你的位，他必为我的名建殿。’So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.’

⁶所以求你吩咐你的仆人在黎巴嫩为我砍伐香柏木，我的仆人也必帮助他们，我必照你所定的，给你仆人的工价；因为你知道，在我们中间没有人像西顿人善于砍伐树木。”Now therefore, order that cedars of Lebanon be cut down for me. My servants will be with your servants, and I will pay your servants whatever wages you set, for you know that there are none among us as skilled in logging as the Sidonians.”

⁷希兰听见所罗门的话，就甚喜悦，说：“今日应当称颂耶和华；因他赐给大卫一个有智慧的儿子，治理这众多的民。”When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day! He has given David a wise son over this great people!”

⁸希兰打发人去见所罗门，说：“你差遣人向我所提的那事，我都听见了；论到香柏木和松木，我必照你的心愿而行。Then Hiram sent a reply to Solomon, saying: “I have received your message; I will do all you desire regarding the cedar and cypress timber.

⁹我的仆人必将这木料从黎巴嫩运到海里，扎成筏子，浮海运到你所指定我的地方，在那里拆开，你就可以收取；你也要成全我的心愿，将食物给我的家。”My servants will haul the logs from Lebanon to the Sea, and I will float them as rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate the logs, and you can take them away. And in exchange, you can meet my needs by providing my household with food.”

¹⁰于是希兰照着所罗门所要的，给他香柏木和松木；So Hiram provided Solomon with all the cedar and cypress timber he wanted,

¹¹所罗门给希兰麦子二万歌珥，清油二十歌珥，作他家的食物。所罗门每年都是这样给希兰。and year after year Solomon would provide Hiram with 20,000 cors of wheat as food for his household, as well as 20,000 baths of pure olive oil.

¹²耶和华照着所应许的赐智慧给所罗门。希兰与所罗门和好，彼此立约。And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.

徵调服苦的人

¹³所罗门王从以色列人中挑取服苦的人共有三万，Then King Solomon conscripted a labor force of 30,000 men from all Israel.

¹⁴派他们轮流每月一万人上黎巴嫩去；一个月在黎巴嫩，两个月在家里。亚多尼兰掌管他们。He sent them to Lebanon in monthly shifts of 10,000 men, so that they would spend one month in Lebanon and two months at home. And Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.

¹⁵所罗门用七万扛抬的，八万在山上凿石头的。Solomon had 70,000 porters and 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains,

¹⁶此外，所罗门用三千三百督工的，监管工人。not including his 3,300 foremen who supervised the workers.

¹⁷王下令，人就凿出又大又宝贵的石头来，用以立殿的根基。And the king commanded them to quarry large, costly stones to lay the foundation of the temple with dressed stones.

¹⁸所罗门的匠人和希兰的匠人，并迦巴勒人，都将石头凿好，预备木料和石头建殿。So Solomon’s and Hiram’s builders, along with the Gebalites, quarried the stone and prepared the timber and stone for the construction of the temple.

开工建殿

¹以色列人出埃及地后四百八十年，所罗门作以色列王第四年西弗月，就是二月，开工建造耶和华的殿。In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the house of the LORD.

²所罗门王为耶和华所建的殿，长六十肘，宽二十肘，高三十肘。The house that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.

³殿前的廊子长二十肘，与殿的宽窄一样，阔十肘；The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple was twenty cubits long, extending across the width of the temple and projecting out ten cubits in front of the temple.

⁴又为殿做了严紧的窗棂。He also had narrow windows framed high in the temple.

⁵靠着殿墙，围着外殿内殿，造了三层旁屋；Against the walls of the temple and the inner sanctuary, Solomon built a chambered structure around the temple, in which he constructed the side rooms.

⁶下层宽五肘，中层宽六肘，上层宽七肘。殿外旁屋的梁木搁在殿墙坎上，免得插入殿墙。The bottom floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits, and the third floor seven cubits. He also placed offset ledges around the outside of the temple, so that nothing would be inserted into its walls.

⁷建殿是用山中凿成的石头。建殿的时候，锤子、斧子，和别样铁器的响声都没有听见。The temple was constructed using finished stones cut at the quarry, so that no hammer or chisel or any other iron tool was heard in the temple while it was being built.

⁸在殿右边当中的旁屋有门，门内有旋螺的楼梯，可以上到第二层，从第二层可以上到第三层。The entrance to the bottom floor was on the south side of the temple. A stairway led up to the middle level, and from there to the third floor.

⁹所罗门建殿，安置香柏木的栋梁，又用香柏木板遮盖。So Solomon built the temple and finished it, roofing it with beams and planks of cedar.

¹⁰靠着殿所造的旁屋，每层高五肘，香柏木的栋梁搁在殿墙坎上。He built chambers all along the temple, each five cubits high and attached to the temple with beams of cedar.

神对所罗门的应许

¹¹耶和华的话临到所罗门说：Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:

¹²“论到你所建的这殿，你若遵行我的律例，谨守我的典章，遵从我的一切诫命，我必向你应验我所应许你父亲大卫的话。“As for this temple you are building, if you walk in My statutes, carry out My ordinances, and keep all My commandments by walking in them, I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.

¹³我必住在以色列人中间，并不丢弃我民以色列。”And I will dwell among the Israelites and will not abandon My people Israel.”

殿里的香柏木和精金

¹⁴所罗门建造殿宇。So Solomon built the temple and finished it.

¹⁵殿里面用香柏木板贴墙，从地到棚顶都用木板遮蔽，又用松木板铺地。He lined the interior walls with cedar paneling from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and he covered the floor with cypress boards.

¹⁶内殿，就是至圣所，长二十肘，从地到棚顶用香柏木板遮蔽（或译：隔断）。He partitioned off the twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.

¹⁷内殿前的外殿，长四十肘。And the main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.

¹⁸殿里一点石头都不显露，一概用香柏木遮蔽；上面刻着野瓜和初开的花。The cedar paneling inside the temple was carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; not a stone could be seen.

¹⁹殿里预备了内殿，好安放耶和华的约柜。Solomon also prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.

²⁰内殿长二十肘，宽二十肘，高二十肘，墙面都贴上精金；又用香柏木做坛，包上精金。The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.

²¹所罗门用精金贴了殿内的墙，又用金链子挂在内殿前门扇，用金包裹。So Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.

²²全殿都贴上金子，直到贴完；内殿前的坛，也都用金包裹。So he overlaid with gold the whole interior of the temple, until everything was completely finished. He also overlaid with gold the entire altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.

两个基路伯

²³他用橄榄木做两个基路伯，各高十肘，安在内殿。In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim, each ten cubits high, out of olive wood.

²⁴这一个基路伯有两个翅膀，各长五肘，从这翅膀尖到那翅膀尖共有十肘；One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing was five cubits long as well. So the full wingspan was ten cubits.

²⁵那一个基路伯的两个翅膀也是十肘，两个基路伯的尺寸、形象都是一样。The second cherub also measured ten cubits; both cherubim had the same size and shape,

²⁶这基路伯高十肘，那基路伯也是如此。and the height of each cherub was ten cubits.

²⁷他将两个基路伯安在内殿里；基路伯的翅膀是张开的，这基路伯的一个翅膀挨着这边的墙，那基路伯的一个翅膀挨着那边的墙，里边的两个翅膀在殿中间彼此相接；And he placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple. Since their wings were spread out, the wing of the first cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the second cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the room their wingtips touched.

²⁸又用金子包裹二基路伯。He also overlaid the cherubim with gold.

²⁹内殿、外殿周围的墙上都刻着基路伯、棕树，和初开的花。Then he carved the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer sanctuaries, with carved engravings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers.

³⁰内殿、外殿的地板都贴上金子。And he overlaid the temple floor with gold in both the inner and outer sanctuaries.

殿门与内院

³¹又用橄榄木制造内殿的门扇、门楣、门框；门口有墙的五分之一。For the entrance to the inner sanctuary, Solomon constructed doors of olive wood with five-sided doorposts.

³²在橄榄木做的两门扇上刻着基路伯、棕树，和初开的花，都贴上金子。The double doors were made of olive wood, and he carved into them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with hammered gold.

³³又用橄榄木制造外殿的门框，门口有墙的四分之一。In the same way he made four-sided doorposts of olive wood for the sanctuary entrance.

³⁴用松木做门两扇。这扇分两扇，是折叠的；那扇分两扇，也是折叠的。The two doors were made of cypress wood, and each had two folding panels.

³⁵上面刻着基路伯、棕树，和初开的花，都用金子贴了。He carved into them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and he overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.

³⁶他又用凿成的石头三层、香柏木一层建筑内院。Solomon built the inner courtyard with three rows of dressed stone and one row of trimmed cedar beams.

七年完工

³⁷所罗门在位第四年西弗月，立了耶和华殿的根基。The foundation of the house of the LORD was laid in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign, in the month of Ziv.

³⁸到十一年布勒月，就是八月，殿和一切属殿的都按着样式造成。他建殿的工夫共有七年。In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in every detail and according to every specification. So he built the temple in seven years.

妇人进城作见证

²⁷当下门徒回来，就希奇耶稣和一个妇人说话；只是没有人说：“你是要什么？”或说：“你为什么和她说话？”Just then His disciples returned and were surprised that He was speaking with a woman. But no one asked Him, “What do You want from her?” or “Why are You talking with her?”

²⁸那妇人就留下水罐子，往城里去，对众人说：Then the woman left her water jar, went back into the town, and said to the people,

²⁹“你们来看！有一个人将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了，莫非这就是基督吗？”“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”

³⁰众人就出城，往耶稣那里去。So they left the town and made their way toward Jesus.

我的食物

³¹这其间，门徒对耶稣说：“拉比，请吃。”Meanwhile the disciples urged Him, “Rabbi, eat something.”

³²耶稣说：“我有食物吃，是你们不知道的。”But He told them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

³³门徒就彼此对问说：“莫非有人拿什么给他吃吗？”So the disciples asked one another, “Could someone have brought Him food?”

³⁴耶稣说：“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，做成他的工。Jesus explained, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.

庄稼已经熟了

³⁵你们岂不说‘到收割的时候还有四个月’吗？我告诉你们，举目向田观看，庄稼已经熟了（原文是发白），可以收割了。Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest.

³⁶收割的人得工价，积蓄五谷到永生，叫撒种的和收割的一同快乐。Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.

³⁷俗语说：‘那人撒种，这人收割’，这话可见是真的。For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.

³⁸我差你们去收你们所没有劳苦的；别人劳苦，你们享受他们所劳苦的。”I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the hard work, and now you have taken up their labor.”

撒马利亚人信了

³⁹那城里有好些撒马利亚人信了耶稣，因为那妇人作见证说：“他将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了。”Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”

⁴⁰于是撒马利亚人来见耶稣，求他在他们那里住下，他便在那里住了两天。So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed two days.

⁴¹因耶稣的话，信的人就更多了，And many more believed because of His message.

⁴²便对妇人说：“现在我们信，不是因为你的话，是我们亲自听见了，知道这真是救世主。”They said to the woman, “We now believe not only because of your words; we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man truly is the Savior of the world.”

回到加利利

⁴³过了那两天，耶稣离了那地方，往加利利去。After two days, Jesus left for Galilee.

⁴⁴因为耶稣自己作过见证说：“先知在本地是没有人尊敬的。”Now He Himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.

⁴⁵到了加利利，加利利人既然看见他在耶路撒冷过节所行的一切事，就接待他，因为他们也是上去过节。Yet when He arrived, the Galileans welcomed Him. They had seen all the great things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had gone there as well.

医好大臣的儿子

⁴⁶耶稣又到了加利利的迦拿，就是他从前变水为酒的地方。有一个大臣，他的儿子在迦百农患病。So once again He came to Cana in Galilee, where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.

⁴⁷他听见耶稣从犹太到了加利利，就来见他，求他下去医治他的儿子，因为他儿子快要死了。When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.

⁴⁸耶稣就对他说：“若不看见神迹奇事，你们总是不信。”Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”

⁴⁹那大臣说：“先生，求你趁着我的孩子还没有死就下去。”“Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.”

⁵⁰耶稣对他说：“回去吧，你的儿子活了！”那人信耶稣所说的话就回去了。“Go,” said Jesus. “Your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed.

⁵¹正下去的时候，他的仆人迎见他，说他的儿子活了。And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive.

⁵²他就问什么时候见好的。他们说：“昨日未时热就退了。”So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour.”

⁵³他便知道这正是耶稣对他说“你儿子活了”的时候；他自己和全家就都信了。Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed.

⁵⁴这是耶稣在加利利行的第二件神迹，是他从犹太回去以后行的。This was now the second sign that Jesus performed after coming from Judea into Galilee.
