离开西奈的旷野

¹¹第二年二月二十日，云彩从法柜的帐幕收上去。On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud was lifted from above the tabernacle of the Testimony,

¹²以色列人就按站往前行，离开西奈的旷野，云彩停住在巴兰的旷野。and the Israelites set out from the Wilderness of Sinai, traveling from place to place until the cloud settled in the Wilderness of Paran.

¹³这是他们照耶和华借摩西所吩咐的，初次往前行。They set out this first time according to the LORD’s command through Moses.

各营按次序前行

¹⁴按着军队首先往前行的是犹大营的纛。统领军队的是亚米拿达的儿子拿顺。First, the divisions of the camp of Judah set out under their standard, with Nahshon son of Amminadab in command.

¹⁵统领以萨迦支派军队的是苏押的儿子拿坦业。Nethanel son of Zuar was over the division of the tribe of Issachar,

¹⁶统领西布伦支派军队的是希伦的儿子以利押。and Eliab son of Helon was over the division of the tribe of Zebulun.

¹⁷帐幕拆卸，革顺的子孙和米拉利的子孙就抬着帐幕先往前行。Then the tabernacle was taken down, and the Gershonites and the Merarites set out, transporting it.

¹⁸按着军队往前行的是流便营的纛。统领军队的是示丢珥的儿子以利蓿。Then the divisions of the camp of Reuben set out under their standard, with Elizur son of Shedeur in command.

¹⁹统领西缅支派军队的是苏利沙代的儿子示路蔑。Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai was over the division of the tribe of Simeon,

²⁰统领迦得支派军队的是丢珥的儿子以利雅萨。and Eliasaph son of Deuel was over the division of the tribe of Gad.

²¹哥辖人抬着圣物先往前行。他们未到以前，抬帐幕的已经把帐幕支好。Then the Kohathites set out, transporting the holy objects; the tabernacle was to be set up before their arrival.

²²按着军队往前行的是以法莲营的纛，统领军队的是亚米忽的儿子以利沙玛。Next, the divisions of the camp of Ephraim set out under their standard, with Elishama son of Ammihud in command.

²³统领玛拿西支派军队的是比大蓿的儿子迦玛列。Gamaliel son of Pedahzur was over the division of the tribe of Manasseh,

²⁴统领便雅悯支派军队的是基多尼的儿子亚比但。and Abidan son of Gideoni was over the division of the tribe of Benjamin.

²⁵在诸营末后的是但营的纛，按着军队往前行。统领军队的是亚米沙代的儿子亚希以谢。Finally, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out under their standard, serving as the rear guard for all units, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai in command.

²⁶统领亚设支派军队的是俄兰的儿子帕结。Pagiel son of Ocran was over the division of the tribe of Asher,

²⁷统领拿弗他利支派军队的是以南的儿子亚希拉。and Ahira son of Enan was over the division of the tribe of Naphtali.

²⁸以色列人按着军队往前行，就是这样。This was the order of march for the Israelite divisions as they set out.

摩西邀请何巴同行

²⁹摩西对他岳父（或译：内兄）—米甸人流珥的儿子何巴—说：“我们要行路，往耶和华所应许之地去；他曾说：‘我要将这地赐给你们。’现在求你和我们同去，我们必厚待你，因为耶和华指着以色列人已经应许给好处。”Then Moses said to Hobab, the son of Moses’ father-in-law Reuel the Midianite, “We are setting out for the place of which the LORD said: ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised good things to Israel.”

³⁰何巴回答说：“我不去；我要回本地本族那里去。”“I will not go,” Hobab replied. “Instead, I am going back to my own land and my own people.”

³¹摩西说：“求你不要离开我们；因为你知道我们要在旷野安营，你可以当作我们的眼目。“Please do not leave us,” Moses said, “since you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you can serve as our eyes.

³²你若和我们同去，将来耶和华有什么好处待我们，我们也必以什么好处待你。”If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives us.”

约柜在前头行

³³以色列人离开耶和华的山，往前行了三天的路程；耶和华的约柜在前头行了三天的路程，为他们寻找安歇的地方。So they set out on a three-day journey from the mountain of the LORD, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD traveling ahead of them for those three days to seek a resting place for them.

³⁴他们拔营往前行，日间有耶和华的云彩在他们以上。And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.

³⁵约柜往前行的时候，摩西就说：“耶和华啊，求你兴起！愿你的仇敌四散！愿恨你的人从你面前逃跑！”Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say, “Rise up, O LORD! May Your enemies be scattered; may those who hate You flee before You.”

³⁶约柜停住的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你回到以色列的千万人中！”And when it came to rest, he would say: “Return, O LORD, to the countless thousands of Israel.”

他备拉的火

¹众百姓发怨言，他们的恶语达到耶和华的耳中。耶和华听见了就怒气发作，使火在他们中间焚烧，直烧到营的边界。Soon the people began to complain about their hardship in the hearing of the LORD, and when He heard them, His anger was kindled, and fire from the LORD blazed among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp.

²百姓向摩西哀求，摩西祈求耶和华，火就熄了。And the people cried out to Moses, and he prayed to the LORD, and the fire died down.

³那地方便叫做他备拉，因为耶和华的火烧在他们中间。So that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the LORD had burned among them.

百姓哭着要吃肉

⁴他们中间的闲杂人大起贪欲的心；以色列人又哭号说：“谁给我们肉吃呢？Meanwhile, the rabble among them had a strong craving for other food, and again the Israelites wept and said, “Who will feed us meat?

⁵我们记得，在埃及的时候不花钱就吃鱼，也记得有黄瓜、西瓜、韭菜、葱、蒜。We remember the fish we ate freely in Egypt, along with the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic.

⁶现在我们的心血枯竭了，除这吗哪以外，在我们眼前并没有别的东西。”But now our appetite is gone; there is nothing to see but this manna!”

⁷（这吗哪仿佛芫荽子，又好像珍珠。Now the manna resembled coriander seed, and its appearance was like that of gum resin.

⁸百姓周围行走，把吗哪收起来，或用磨推，或用臼捣，煮在锅中，又做成饼，滋味好像新油。The people walked around and gathered it, ground it on a handmill or crushed it in a mortar, then boiled it in a cooking pot or shaped it into cakes. It tasted like pastry baked with fine oil.

⁹夜间露水降在营中，吗哪也随着降下。）When the dew fell on the camp at night, the manna would fall with it.

摩西向神诉苦

¹⁰摩西听见百姓各在各家的帐棚门口哭号。耶和华的怒气便大发作，摩西就不喜悦。Then Moses heard the people of family after family weeping at the entrances to their tents, and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly, and Moses was also displeased.

¹¹摩西对耶和华说：“你为何苦待仆人？我为何不在你眼前蒙恩，竟把这管理百姓的重任加在我身上呢？So Moses asked the LORD, “Why have You brought this trouble on Your servant? Why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid upon me the burden of all these people?

¹²这百姓岂是我怀的胎，岂是我生下来的呢？你竟对我说：‘把他们抱在怀里，如养育之父抱吃奶的孩子，直抱到你起誓应许给他们祖宗的地去。’Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth, so that You should tell me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries an infant,’ to the land that You swore to give their fathers?

¹³我从哪里得肉给这百姓吃呢？他们都向我哭号说：‘你给我们肉吃吧！’Where can I get meat for all these people? For they keep crying out to me, ‘Give us meat to eat!’

¹⁴管理这百姓的责任太重了，我独自担当不起。I cannot carry all these people by myself; it is too burdensome for me.

¹⁵你这样待我，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你立时将我杀了，不叫我见自己的苦情。”If this is how You are going to treat me, please kill me right now—if I have found favor in Your eyes—and let me not see my own wretchedness.”

神吩咐招聚七十个长老

¹⁶耶和华对摩西说：“你从以色列的长老中招聚七十个人，就是你所知道作百姓的长老和官长的，到我这里来，领他们到会幕前，使他们和你一同站立。Then the LORD said to Moses, “Bring Me seventy of the elders of Israel known to you as leaders and officers of the people. Bring them to the Tent of Meeting and have them stand there with you.

¹⁷我要在那里降临，与你说话，也要把降于你身上的灵分赐他们，他们就和你同当这管百姓的重任，免得你独自担当。And I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put that Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.

¹⁸又要对百姓说：‘你们应当自洁，预备明天吃肉，因为你们哭号说：谁给我们肉吃！我们在埃及很好。这声音达到了耶和华的耳中，所以他必给你们肉吃。And say to the people: Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you will eat meat, because you have cried out in the hearing of the LORD, saying: ‘Who will feed us meat? For we were better off in Egypt!’ Therefore the LORD will give you meat, and you will eat.

¹⁹你们不止吃一天、两天、五天、十天、二十天，You will eat it not for one or two days, nor for five or ten or twenty days,

²⁰要吃一个整月，甚至肉从你们鼻孔里喷出来，使你们厌恶了，因为你们厌弃住在你们中间的耶和华，在他面前哭号说：我们为何出了埃及呢！’”but for a whole month—until it comes out of your nostrils and makes you nauseous—because you have rejected the LORD, who is among you, and have cried out before Him, saying, ‘Why did we ever leave Egypt?’”

²¹摩西对耶和华说：“这与我同住的百姓、步行的男人有六十万，你还说：‘我要把肉给他们，使他们可以吃一个整月。’But Moses replied, “Here I am among 600,000 men on foot, yet You say, ‘I will give them meat, and they will eat for a month.’

²²难道给他们宰了羊群牛群，或是把海中所有的鱼都聚了来，就够他们吃吗？”If all our flocks and herds were slaughtered for them, would they have enough? Or if all the fish in the sea were caught for them, would they have enough?”

²³耶和华对摩西说：“耶和华的膀臂岂是缩短了吗？现在要看我的话向你应验不应验。”The LORD answered Moses, “Is the LORD’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not My word will come to pass.”

灵降在长老身上

²⁴摩西出去，将耶和华的话告诉百姓，又招聚百姓的长老中七十个人来，使他们站在会幕的四围。So Moses went out and relayed to the people the words of the LORD, and he gathered seventy of the elders of the people and had them stand around the tent.

²⁵耶和华在云中降临，对摩西说话，把降与他身上的灵分赐那七十个长老。灵停在他们身上的时候，他们就受感说话，以后却没有再说。Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and He took some of the Spirit that was on Moses and placed that Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied—but they never did so again.

²⁶但有两个人仍在营里，一个名叫伊利达，一个名叫米达。他们本是在那些被录的人中，却没有到会幕那里去。灵停在他们身上，他们就在营里说预言。Two men, however, had remained in the camp—one named Eldad and the other Medad—and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those listed, but they had not gone out to the tent, and they prophesied in the camp.

²⁷有个少年人跑来告诉摩西说：“伊利达、米达在营里说预言。”A young man ran and reported to Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”

²⁸摩西的帮手，嫩的儿子约书亚，就是摩西所拣选的一个人，说：“请我主摩西禁止他们。”Joshua son of Nun, the attendant to Moses since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!”

²⁹摩西对他说：“你为我的缘故嫉妒人吗？惟愿耶和华的百姓都受感说话！愿耶和华把他的灵降在他们身上！”But Moses replied, “Are you jealous on my account? I wish that all the LORD’s people were prophets and that the LORD would place His Spirit on them!”

³⁰于是，摩西和以色列的长老都回到营里去。Then Moses returned to the camp, along with the elders of Israel.

鹌鹑与灾殃

³¹有风从耶和华那里刮起，把鹌鹑由海面刮来，飞散在营边和营的四围；这边约有一天的路程，那边约有一天的路程，离地面约有二肘。Now a wind sent by the LORD came up, drove in quail from the sea, and brought them near the camp, about two cubits above the surface of the ground, for a day’s journey in every direction around the camp.

³²百姓起来，终日终夜，并次日一整天，捕取鹌鹑；至少的也取了十贺梅珥，为自己摆列在营的四围。All that day and night, and all the next day, the people stayed up gathering the quail. No one gathered less than ten homers, and they spread them out all around the camp.

³³肉在他们牙齿之间尚未嚼烂，耶和华的怒气就向他们发作，用最重的灾殃击杀了他们。But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the anger of the LORD burned against the people, and the LORD struck them with a severe plague.

³⁴那地方便叫做基博罗·哈他瓦（就是贪欲之人的坟墓），因为他们在那里葬埋那起贪欲之心的人。So they called that place Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food.

³⁵百姓从基博罗·哈他瓦走到哈洗录，就住在哈洗录。From Kibroth-hattaavah the people moved on to Hazeroth, where they remained for some time.

米利暗和亚伦毁谤摩西

¹摩西娶了古实女子为妻。米利暗和亚伦因他所娶的古实女子就毁谤他，说：Then Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of the Cushite woman he had married, for he had taken a Cushite wife.

²“难道耶和华单与摩西说话，不也与我们说话吗？”这话耶和华听见了。“Does the LORD speak only through Moses?” they said. “Does He not also speak through us?” And the LORD heard this.

³（摩西为人极其谦和，胜过世上的众人。）Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.

⁴耶和华忽然对摩西、亚伦、米利暗说：“你们三个人都出来，到会幕这里。”他们三个人就出来了。And suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “You three, come out to the Tent of Meeting.” So the three went out,

⁵耶和华在云柱中降临，站在会幕门口，召亚伦和米利暗，二人就出来了。and the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the Tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them had stepped forward,

⁶耶和华说：“你们且听我的话：你们中间若有先知，我—耶和华必在异象中向他显现，在梦中与他说话。He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream.

⁷我的仆人摩西不是这样；他是在我全家尽忠的。But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house.

⁸我要与他面对面说话，乃是明说，不用谜语，并且他必见我的形象。你们毁谤我的仆人摩西，为何不惧怕呢？”I speak with him face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you unafraid to speak against My servant Moses?”

⁹耶和华就向他们二人发怒而去。So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed.

米利暗长大痲疯，摩西为她代求

¹⁰云彩从会幕上挪开了，不料，米利暗长了大麻风，有雪那样白。亚伦一看米利暗长了大麻风，As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly Miriam became leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she was leprous,

¹¹就对摩西说：“我主啊，求你不要因我们愚昧犯罪，便将这罪加在我们身上。and said to Moses, “My lord, please do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.

¹²求你不要使她像那出母腹、肉已半烂的死胎。”Please do not let her be like a stillborn infant whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”

¹³于是摩西哀求耶和华说：“　神啊，求你医治她！”So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her!”

¹⁴耶和华对摩西说：“她父亲若吐唾沫在她脸上，她岂不蒙羞七天吗？现在要把她在营外关锁七天，然后才可以领她进来。”But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.”

¹⁵于是米利暗关锁在营外七天。百姓没有行路，直等到把米利暗领进来。So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.

¹⁶以后百姓从哈洗录起行，在巴兰的旷野安营。After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.

彼得认耶稣是基督

²⁷耶稣和门徒出去，往凯撒利亚·腓立比村庄去；在路上问门徒说：“人说我是谁？”Then Jesus and His disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way, He questioned His disciples: “Who do people say I am?”

²⁸他们说：“有人说是施洗的约翰；有人说是以利亚；又有人说是先知里的一位。”They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”

²⁹又问他们说：“你们说我是谁？”彼得回答说：“你是基督。”“But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”

³⁰耶稣就禁戒他们，不要告诉人。And Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about Him.

第一次预言受死复活

³¹从此，他教训他们说：“人子必须受许多的苦，被长老、祭司长，和文士弃绝，并且被杀，过三天复活。”Then He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and after three days rise again.

³²耶稣明明地说这话，彼得就拉着他，劝他。He spoke this message quite frankly, and Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him.

³³耶稣转过来，看着门徒，就责备彼得说：“撒但，退我后边去吧！因为你不体贴　神的意思，只体贴人的意思。”But Jesus, turning and looking at His disciples, rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”

舍己，背起十字架

³⁴于是叫众人和门徒来，对他们说：“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，背起他的十字架来跟从我。Then Jesus called the crowd to Him along with His disciples, and He told them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

³⁵因为，凡要救自己生命（或译：灵魂；下同）的，必丧掉生命；凡为我和福音丧掉生命的，必救了生命。For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it.

³⁶人就是赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

³⁷人还能拿什么换生命呢？Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

³⁸凡在这淫乱罪恶的世代，把我和我的道当作可耻的，人子在他父的荣耀里，同圣天使降临的时候，也要把那人当作可耻的。”If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

¹耶稣又对他们说：“我实在告诉你们，站在这里的，有人在没尝死味以前，必要看见　神的国大有能力临到。”Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God arrive with power.”

在高山上改变形像

²过了六天，耶稣带着彼得、雅各、约翰暗暗地上了高山，就在他们面前变了形象，After six days Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There He was transfigured before them.

³衣服放光，极其洁白，地上漂布的，没有一个能漂得那样白。His clothes became radiantly white, brighter than any launderer on earth could bleach them.

⁴忽然，有以利亚同摩西向他们显现，并且和耶稣说话。And Elijah and Moses appeared before them, talking with Jesus.

⁵彼得对耶稣说：“拉比（就是夫子），我们在这里真好！可以搭三座棚，一座为你，一座为摩西，一座为以利亚。”Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

⁶彼得不知道说什么才好，因为他们甚是惧怕。For they were all so terrified that Peter did not know what else to say.

⁷有一朵云彩来遮盖他们；也有声音从云彩里出来，说：“这是我的爱子，你们要听他。”Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is My beloved Son. Listen to Him!”

⁸门徒忽然周围一看，不再见一人，只见耶稣同他们在那里。Suddenly, when they looked around, they saw no one with them except Jesus.

下山时论以利亚

⁹下山的时候，耶稣嘱咐他们说：“人子还没有从死里复活，你们不要将所看见的告诉人。”As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus admonished them not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

¹⁰门徒将这话存记在心，彼此议论“从死里复活”是什么意思。So they kept this matter to themselves, discussing what it meant to rise from the dead.

¹¹他们就问耶稣说：“文士为什么说以利亚必须先来？”And they asked Jesus, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

¹²耶稣说：“以利亚固然先来复兴万事；经上不是指着人子说，他要受许多的苦被人轻慢呢？He replied, “Elijah does indeed come first, and he restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected?

¹³我告诉你们，以利亚已经来了，他们也任意待他，正如经上所指着他的话。”But I tell you that Elijah has indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they wished, just as it is written about him.”
