亚伦的儿子

¹耶和华在西奈山晓谕摩西的日子，亚伦和摩西的后代如下：This is the account of Aaron and Moses at the time the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.

²亚伦的儿子，长子名叫拿答，还有亚比户、以利亚撒、以他玛。These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, then Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

³这是亚伦儿子的名字，都是受膏的祭司，是摩西叫他们承接圣职供祭司职分的。These were Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.

⁴拿答、亚比户在西奈的旷野向耶和华献凡火的时候就死在耶和华面前了。他们也没有儿子。以利亚撒、以他玛在他们的父亲亚伦面前供祭司的职分。Nadab and Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai. And since they had no sons, only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.

利未人要服事祭司

⁵耶和华晓谕摩西说：Then the LORD said to Moses,

⁶“你使利未支派近前来，站在祭司亚伦面前好服事他，“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.

⁷替他和会众在会幕前守所吩咐的，办理帐幕的事。They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.

⁸又要看守会幕的器具，并守所吩咐以色列人的，办理帐幕的事。They shall take care of all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting and fulfill obligations for the Israelites by attending to the service of the tabernacle.

⁹你要将利未人给亚伦和他的儿子，因为他们是从以色列人中选出来给他的。Assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they have been given exclusively to him from among the Israelites.

¹⁰你要嘱咐亚伦和他的儿子谨守自己祭司的职任。近前来的外人必被治死。”So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; but any outsider who approaches the tabernacle must be put to death.”

利未人代替头生的

¹¹耶和华晓谕摩西说：Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

¹²“我从以色列人中拣选了利未人，代替以色列人一切头生的；利未人要归我。“Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to Me,

¹³因为凡头生的是我的；我在埃及地击杀一切头生的那日就把以色列中一切头生的，连人带牲畜都分别为圣归我；他们定要属我。我是耶和华。”for all the firstborn are Mine. On the day I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the LORD.”

数点利未人

¹⁴耶和华在西奈的旷野晓谕摩西说：Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying,

¹⁵“你要照利未人的宗族、家室数点他们。凡一个月以外的男子都要数点。”“Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”

¹⁶于是摩西照耶和华所吩咐的数点他们。So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.

¹⁷利未众子的名字是革顺、哥辖、米拉利。These were the sons of Levi by name: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

¹⁸革顺的儿子，按着家室，是立尼、示每。These were the names of the sons of Gershon by their clans: Libni and Shimei.

¹⁹哥辖的儿子，按着家室，是暗兰、以斯哈、希伯伦、乌薛。The sons of Kohath by their clans were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

²⁰米拉利的儿子，按着家室，是抹利、母示。这些按着宗族是利未人的家室。And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.

革顺族：西边，看守幔幕

²¹属革顺的，有立尼族、示每族。这是革顺的二族。From Gershon came the Libnite clan and the Shimeite clan; these were the Gershonite clans.

²²其中被数、从一个月以外所有的男子共有七千五百名。The number of all the males a month old or more was 7,500.

²³这革顺的二族要在帐幕后西边安营。The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle,

²⁴拉伊勒的儿子以利雅萨作革顺人宗族的首领。and the leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael.

²⁵革顺的子孙在会幕中所要看守的，就是帐幕和罩棚，并罩棚的盖与会幕的门帘，The duties of the Gershonites at the Tent of Meeting were the tabernacle and tent, its covering, the curtain for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

²⁶院子的帷子和门帘（院子是围帐幕和坛的），并一切使用的绳子。the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, and the cords—all the service for these items.

哥辖族：南边，看守约柜和器具

²⁷属哥辖的，有暗兰族、以斯哈族、希伯伦族、乌薛族。这是哥辖的诸族。From Kohath came the clans of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites; these were the clans of the Kohathites.

²⁸按所有男子的数目，从一个月以外看守圣所的，共有八千六百名。The number of all the males a month old or more was 8,600. They were responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.

²⁹哥辖儿子的诸族要在帐幕的南边安营。The clans of the Kohathites were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle,

³⁰乌薛的儿子以利撒反作哥辖宗族家室的首领。and the leader of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.

³¹他们所要看守的是约柜、桌子、灯台、两座坛与圣所内使用的器皿，并帘子和一切使用之物。Their duties were the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used with them, and the curtain—all the service for these items.

³²祭司亚伦的儿子以利亚撒作利未人众首领的领袖，要监察那些看守圣所的人。The chief of the leaders of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest; he oversaw those responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.

米拉利族：北边，看守板和柱子

³³属米拉利的，有抹利族、母示族。这是米拉利的二族。From Merari came the clans of the Mahlites and Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.

³⁴他们被数的，按所有男子的数目，从一个月以外的，共有六千二百名。The number of all the males a month old or more was 6,200.

³⁵亚比亥的儿子苏列作米拉利二宗族的首领。他们要在帐幕的北边安营。The leader of the families of the Merarites was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.

³⁶米拉利子孙的职分是看守帐幕的板、闩、柱子、带卯的座，和帐幕一切所使用的器具，The duties assigned to the sons of Merari were the tabernacle’s frames, crossbars, posts, bases, and all its equipment—all the service for these items,

³⁷院子四围的柱子、带卯的座、橛子，和绳子。as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes.

摩西和亚伦在东边

³⁸在帐幕前东边，向日出之地安营的是摩西、亚伦，和亚伦的儿子。他们看守圣所，替以色列人守耶和华所吩咐的。近前来的外人必被治死。Moses, Aaron, and Aaron’s sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, before the Tent of Meeting. They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.

³⁹凡被数的利未人，就是摩西、亚伦照耶和华吩咐所数的，按着家室，从一个月以外的男子，共有二万二千名。The total number of Levites that Moses and Aaron counted by their clans at the LORD’s command, including all the males a month old or more, was 22,000.

赎回多出的头生者

⁴⁰耶和华对摩西说：“你要从以色列人中数点一个月以外、凡头生的男子，把他们的名字记下。Then the LORD said to Moses, “Number every firstborn male of the Israelites a month old or more, and list their names.

⁴¹我是耶和华。你要拣选利未人归我，代替以色列人所有头生的，也取利未人的牲畜代替以色列所有头生的牲畜。”You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the LORD—in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites.”

⁴²摩西就照耶和华所吩咐的把以色列人头生的都数点了。So Moses numbered all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded him.

⁴³按人名的数目，从一个月以外、凡头生的男子，共有二万二千二百七十三名。The total number of the firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.

⁴⁴耶和华晓谕摩西说：Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

⁴⁵“你拣选利未人代替以色列人所有头生的，也取利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜。利未人要归我；我是耶和华。“Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the LORD.

⁴⁶以色列人中头生的男子比利未人多二百七十三个，必当将他们赎出来。To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who outnumber the Levites,

⁴⁷你要按人丁，照圣所的平，每人取赎银五舍客勒（一舍客勒是二十季拉），you are to collect five shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel of twenty gerahs.

⁴⁸把那多余之人的赎银交给亚伦和他的儿子。”Give the money to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for the excess among the Israelites.”

⁴⁹于是摩西从那被利未人所赎以外的人取了赎银。So Moses collected the redemption money from those in excess of the number redeemed by the Levites.

⁵⁰从以色列人头生的所取之银，按圣所的平，有一千三百六十五舍客勒。He collected the money from the firstborn of the Israelites: 1,365 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.

⁵¹摩西照耶和华的话把这赎银给亚伦和他的儿子，正如耶和华所吩咐的。And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.

哥辖子孙搬运至圣之物

¹耶和华晓谕摩西、亚伦说：Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

²“你从利未人中，将哥辖子孙的总数，照他们的家室、宗族，“Take a census of the Kohathites among the Levites by their clans and families,

³从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里办事的，全都计算。men from thirty to fifty years old—everyone who is qualified to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

⁴哥辖子孙在会幕搬运至圣之物，所办的事乃是这样：This service of the Kohathites at the Tent of Meeting regards the most holy things.

⁵起营的时候，亚伦和他儿子要进去摘下遮掩柜的幔子，用以蒙盖法柜，Whenever the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the veil of the curtain, and cover the ark of the Testimony with it.

⁶又用海狗皮盖在上头，再蒙上纯蓝色的毯子，把杠穿上。They are to place over this a covering of fine leather, spread a solid blue cloth over it, and insert its poles.

⁷又用蓝色毯子铺在陈设饼的桌子上，将盘子、调羹、奠酒的爵，和杯摆在上头。桌子上也必有常设的饼。Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.

⁸在其上又要蒙朱红色的毯子，再蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。And they shall spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover them with fine leather, and insert the poles.

⁹要拿蓝色毯子，把灯台和灯台上所用的灯盏、剪子、蜡花盘，并一切盛油的器皿，全都遮盖。They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand used for light, together with its lamps, wick trimmers, and trays, as well as the jars of oil with which to supply it.

¹⁰又要把灯台和灯台的一切器具包在海狗皮里，放在抬架上。Then they shall wrap it and all its utensils inside a covering of fine leather and put it on the carrying frame.

¹¹在金坛上要铺蓝色毯子，蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth, cover it with fine leather, and insert the poles.

¹²又要把圣所用的一切器具包在蓝色毯子里，用海狗皮蒙上，放在抬架上。They are to take all the utensils for serving in the sanctuary, place them in a blue cloth, cover them with fine leather, and put them on the carrying frame.

¹³要收去坛上的灰，把紫色毯子铺在坛上；Then they shall remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it,

¹⁴又要把所用的一切器具，就是火鼎、肉锸子、铲子、盘子，一切属坛的器具都摆在坛上，又蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。and place on it all the vessels used to serve there: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and sprinkling bowls—all the equipment of the altar. They are to spread over it a covering of fine leather and insert the poles.

¹⁵将要起营的时候，亚伦和他儿子把圣所和圣所的一切器具遮盖完了，哥辖的子孙就要来抬，只是不可摸圣物，免得他们死亡。会幕里这些物件是哥辖子孙所当抬的。When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all their equipment, as soon as the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites shall come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy objects, or they will die. These are the transportation duties of the Kohathites regarding the Tent of Meeting.

以利亚撒的职责

¹⁶“祭司亚伦的儿子以利亚撒所要看守的是点灯的油与香料，并当献的素祭和膏油，也要看守全帐幕与其中所有的，并圣所和圣所的器具。”Eleazar son of Aaron the priest shall oversee the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil. He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including the holy objects and their utensils.”

¹⁷耶和华晓谕摩西、亚伦说：Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

¹⁸“你们不可将哥辖人的支派从利未人中剪除。“Do not allow the Kohathite tribal clans to be cut off from among the Levites.

¹⁹他们挨近至圣物的时候，亚伦和他儿子要进去派他们各人所当办的，所当抬的。这样待他们，好使他们活着，不致死亡。In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and assign each man his task and what he is to carry.

²⁰只是他们连片时不可进去观看圣所，免得他们死亡。”But the Kohathites are not to go in and look at the holy objects, even for a moment, or they will die.”

革顺子孙的工作

²¹耶和华晓谕摩西说：And the LORD said to Moses,

²²“你要将革顺子孙的总数，照着宗族、家室，“Take a census of the Gershonites as well, by their families and clans,

²³从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里办事的，全都数点。from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

²⁴革顺人各族所办的事、所抬的物乃是这样：This is the service of the Gershonite clans regarding work and transport:

²⁵他们要抬帐幕的幔子和会幕，并会幕的盖与其上的海狗皮，和会幕的门帘，They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting with the covering of fine leather over it, the curtains for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

²⁶院子的帷子和门帘（院子是围帐幕和坛的）、绳子，并所用的器具，不论是做什么用的，他们都要经理。the curtains of the courtyard, and the curtains for the entrance at the gate of the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, along with their ropes and all the equipment for their service. The Gershonites will do all that needs to be done with these items.

²⁷革顺的子孙在一切抬物办事之上都要凭亚伦和他儿子的吩咐；他们所当抬的，要派他们看守。All the service of the Gershonites—all their transport duties and other work—is to be done at the direction of Aaron and his sons; you are to assign to them all that they are responsible to carry.

²⁸这是革顺子孙的各族在会幕里所办的事；他们所看守的，必在祭司亚伦儿子以他玛的手下。”This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the Tent of Meeting, and their duties shall be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

米拉利子孙的工作

²⁹“至于米拉利的子孙，你要照着家室、宗族把他们数点。As for the sons of Merari, you are to number them by their clans and families,

³⁰从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里办事的，你都要数点。from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work of the Tent of Meeting.

³¹他们办理会幕的事，就是抬帐幕的板、闩、柱子，和带卯的座，This is the duty for all their service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle with its crossbars, posts, and bases,

³²院子四围的柱子和其上带卯的座、橛子、绳子，并一切使用的器具。他们所抬的器具，你们要按名指定。and the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes, including all their equipment and everything related to their use. You shall assign by name the items that they are responsible to carry.

³³这是米拉利子孙各族在会幕里所办的事，都在祭司亚伦儿子以他玛的手下。”This is the service of the Merarite clans according to all their work at the Tent of Meeting, under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.”

被数点的利未人

³⁴摩西、亚伦与会众的诸首领将哥辖的子孙，照着家室、宗族，So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of the congregation numbered the Kohathites by their clans and families,

³⁵从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里办事的，都数点了。everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

³⁶被数的共有二千七百五十名。And those numbered by their clans totaled 2,750.

³⁷这是哥辖各族中被数的，是在会幕里办事的，就是摩西、亚伦照耶和华借摩西所吩咐数点的。These were counted from the Kohathite clans, everyone who could serve at the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron numbered them according to the command of the LORD through Moses.

³⁸革顺子孙被数的，照着家室、宗族，Then the Gershonites were numbered by their clans and families,

^39–40从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里办事的，共有二千六百三十名。everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting. And those numbered by their clans and families totaled 2,630.

⁴¹这是革顺子孙各族中被数的，是在会幕里办事的，就是摩西、亚伦照耶和华借摩西所吩咐数点的。These were counted from the Gershonite clans who served at the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted at the LORD’s command.

⁴²米拉利子孙中各族被数的，照着家室、宗族，And the Merarites were numbered by their clans and families,

^43–44从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里办事的，共有三千二百名。everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting. The men registered by their clans numbered 3,200.

⁴⁵这是米拉利子孙各族中被数的，就是摩西、亚伦照耶和华借摩西所吩咐数点的。These were counted from the Merarite clans, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the LORD’s command through Moses.

⁴⁶凡被数的利未人，就是摩西、亚伦并以色列众首领，照着家室、宗族所数点的，So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of Israel numbered by their clans and families all the Levites

^47–48从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职、在会幕里做抬物之工的，共有八千五百八十名。from thirty to fifty years old who came to do the work of serving and carrying the Tent of Meeting. And the number of men was 8,580.

⁴⁹摩西按他们所办的事、所抬的物，凭耶和华的吩咐数点他们；他们这样被摩西数点，正如耶和华所吩咐他的。At the LORD’s command through Moses they were numbered, and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

在家乡被厌弃

¹耶稣离开那里，来到自己的家乡；门徒也跟从他。Jesus went on from there and came to His hometown, accompanied by His disciples.

²到了安息日，他在会堂里教训人。众人听见，就甚希奇，说：“这人从哪里有这些事呢？所赐给他的是什么智慧？他手所做的是何等的异能呢？When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were astonished. “Where did this man get these ideas?” they asked. “What is this wisdom He has been given? And how can He perform such miracles?

³这不是那木匠吗？不是马利亚的儿子雅各、约西、犹大、西门的长兄吗？他妹妹们不也是在我们这里吗？”他们就厌弃他（厌弃他：原文是因他跌倒）。Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? Aren’t His sisters here with us as well?” And they took offense at Him.

⁴耶稣对他们说：“大凡先知，除了本地、亲属、本家之外，没有不被人尊敬的。”Then Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”

⁵耶稣就在那里不得行什么异能，不过按手在几个病人身上，治好他们。So He could not perform any miracles there, except to lay His hands on a few of the sick and heal them.

⁶他也诧异他们不信，就往周围乡村教训人去了。And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He went around from village to village, teaching the people.

差遣十二个门徒

⁷耶稣叫了十二个门徒来，差遣他们两个两个地出去，也赐给他们权柄，制伏污鬼；Then Jesus called the Twelve to Him and began to send them out two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits.

⁸并且嘱咐他们：“行路的时候不要带食物和口袋，腰袋里也不要带钱，除了拐杖以外，什么都不要带；He instructed them to take nothing but a staff for the journey—no bread, no bag, no money in their belts—

⁹只要穿鞋，也不要穿两件褂子”；and to wear sandals, but not a second tunic.

¹⁰又对他们说：“你们无论到何处，进了人的家，就住在那里，直到离开那地方。And He told them, “When you enter a house, stay there until you leave that area.

¹¹何处的人不接待你们，不听你们，你们离开那里的时候，就把脚上的尘土跺下去，对他们作见证。”If anyone will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a testimony against them.”

门徒出去传道

¹²门徒就出去传道，叫人悔改，So they set out and preached that the people should repent.

¹³又赶出许多的鬼，用油抹了许多病人，治好他们。They also drove out many demons and healed many of the sick, anointing them with oil.

希律以为约翰复活了

¹⁴耶稣的名声传扬出来。希律王听见了，就说：“施洗的约翰从死里复活了，所以这些异能由他里面发出来。”Now King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known, and people were saying, “John the Baptist has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”

¹⁵但别人说：“是以利亚。”又有人说：“是先知，正像先知中的一位。”Others were saying, “He is Elijah,” and still others, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.”

¹⁶希律听见却说：“是我所斩的约翰，他复活了。”But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has risen from the dead!”

约翰被囚的原因

¹⁷先是希律为他兄弟腓力的妻子希罗底的缘故，差人去拿住约翰，锁在监里，因为希律已经娶了那妇人。For Herod himself had ordered that John be arrested and bound and imprisoned, on account of his brother Philip’s wife Herodias, whom Herod had married.

¹⁸约翰曾对希律说：“你娶你兄弟的妻子是不合理的。”For John had been telling Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife!”

¹⁹于是希罗底怀恨他，想要杀他，只是不能；So Herodias held a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she had been unable,

²⁰因为希律知道约翰是义人，是圣人，所以敬畏他，保护他，听他讲论，就多照着行（有古卷：游移不定），并且乐意听他。because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man. When he heard John’s words, he was greatly perplexed; yet he listened to him gladly.

希律的生日筵席

²¹有一天，恰巧是希律的生日，希律摆设筵席，请了大臣和千夫长，并加利利作首领的。On Herod’s birthday, her opportunity arose. Herod held a banquet for his nobles and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee.

²²希罗底的女儿进来跳舞，使希律和同席的人都欢喜。王就对女子说：“你随意向我求什么，我必给你。”When the daughter of Herodias came and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests, and the king said to the girl, “Ask me for whatever you wish, and I will give it to you.”

²³又对她起誓说：“随你向我求什么，就是我国的一半，我也必给你。”And he swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom!”

²⁴她就出去对她母亲说：“我可以求什么呢？”她母亲说：“施洗约翰的头。”Then she went out and asked her mother, “What should I request?” And her mother answered, “The head of John the Baptist.”

²⁵她就急忙进去见王，求他说：“我愿王立时把施洗约翰的头放在盘子里给我。”At once the girl hurried back to the king with her request: “I want you to give me the head of John the Baptist on a platter immediately.”

²⁶王就甚忧愁；但因他所起的誓，又因同席的人，就不肯推辞，The king was consumed with sorrow, but because of his oaths and his guests, he did not want to refuse her.

约翰在监里被斩

²⁷随即差一个护卫兵，吩咐拿约翰的头来。护卫兵就去，在监里斩了约翰，So without delay, the king commanded that John’s head be brought in. He sent an executioner, who went and beheaded him in the prison.

²⁸把头放在盘子里，拿来给女子，女子就给她母亲。The man brought John’s head on a platter and presented it to the girl, who gave it to her mother.

²⁹约翰的门徒听见了，就来把他的尸首领去，葬在坟墓里。When John’s disciples heard about this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.
