安逸无虑的有祸了

¹国为列国之首，人最著名，且为以色列家所归向，在锡安和撒马利亚山安逸无虑的，有祸了！Woe to those at ease in Zion and those secure on Mount Samaria, the distinguished ones of the foremost nation, to whom the house of Israel comes.

²你们要过到甲尼察看，从那里往大城哈马去，又下到非利士人的迦特。看那些国比你们的国还强吗？境界比你们的境界还宽吗？Cross over to Calneh and see; go from there to the great Hamath; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?

³你们以为降祸的日子还远，坐在位上尽行强暴（或译：行强暴使审判临近）。You dismiss the day of calamity and bring near a reign of violence.

躺卧在象牙床上

⁴你们躺卧在象牙床上，舒身在榻上，吃群中的羊羔，棚里的牛犊；You lie on beds inlaid with ivory, and lounge upon your couches. You dine on lambs from the flock and calves from the stall.

⁵弹琴鼓瑟，唱消闲的歌曲，为自己制造乐器，如同大卫所造的；You improvise songs on the harp like David and invent your own musical instruments.

⁶以大碗喝酒，用上等的油抹身，却不为约瑟的苦难担忧。You drink wine by the bowlful and anoint yourselves with the finest oils, but you fail to grieve over the ruin of Joseph.

⁷所以这些人必在被掳的人中首先被掳，舒身的人荒宴之乐必消灭了。Therefore, you will now go into exile as the first of the captives, and your feasting and lounging will come to an end.

神憎恶雅各的荣华

⁸主耶和华万军之　神指着自己起誓说，我憎恶雅各的荣华，厌弃他的宫殿；因此我必将城和其中所有的都交付敌人。The Lord GOD has sworn by Himself—the LORD, the God of Hosts, has declared: “I abhor Jacob’s pride and detest his citadels, so I will deliver up the city and everything in it.”

⁹那时，若在一房之内剩下十个人，也都必死。And if there are ten men left in one house, they too will die.

¹⁰死人的伯叔，就是烧他尸首的，要将这尸首搬到房外，问房屋内间的人说：“你那里还有人没有？”他必说：“没有”；又说：“不要作声，因为我们不可提耶和华的名。”And when the relative who is to burn the bodies picks them up to remove them from the house, he will call to one inside, “Is anyone else with you?” “None,” that person will answer. “Silence,” the relative will retort, “for the name of the LORD must not be invoked.”

¹¹看哪，耶和华出令，大房就被攻破，小屋就被打裂。For the LORD gives a command: “The great house will be smashed to pieces, and the small house to rubble.”

使公平变为苦胆

¹²马岂能在崖石上奔跑？人岂能在那里用牛耕种呢？你们却使公平变为苦胆，使公义的果子变为茵蔯。“Do horses gallop on the cliffs? Does one plow the sea with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

¹³你们喜爱虚浮的事，自夸说，我们不是凭自己的力量取了角吗？you who rejoice in Lo-debar and say, ‘Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?’

¹⁴耶和华万军之　神说：以色列家啊，我必兴起一国攻击你们；他们必欺压你们，从哈马口直到亚拉巴的河。For behold, I will raise up a nation against you, O house of Israel,” declares the LORD, the God of Hosts, “and they will oppress you from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of the Arabah.”

蝗虫和火的异象

¹主耶和华指示我一件事：为王割菜（或译：草）之后，菜又发生；刚发生的时候，主造蝗虫。This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.

²蝗虫吃尽那地的青物，我就说：“主耶和华啊，求你赦免；因为雅各微弱，他怎能站立得住呢？”And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”

³耶和华就后悔，说：“这灾可以免了。”So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.

⁴主耶和华又指示我一件事：他命火来惩罚以色列，火就吞灭深渊，险些将地烧灭。This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.

⁵我就说：“主耶和华啊，求你止息；因为雅各微弱，他怎能站立得住呢？”Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”

⁶耶和华就后悔，说：“这灾也可免了。”So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.

准绳的异象

⁷他又指示我一件事：有一道墙是按准绳建筑的，主手拿准绳站在其上。This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.

我原不是先知

¹⁴阿摩司对亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒（原文是儿子）。我是牧人，又是修理桑树的。“I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.

¹⁵耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说：‘你去向我民以色列说预言。’But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’

一筐夏天的果子

¹主耶和华又指示我一件事：我看见一筐夏天的果子。This is what the Lord GOD showed me: I saw a basket of summer fruit.

²他说：“阿摩司啊，你看见什么？”我说：“看见一筐夏天的果子。”耶和华说：“我民以色列的结局到了，我必不再宽恕他们。”“Amos, what do you see?” He asked. “A basket of summer fruit,” I replied. So the LORD said to me, “The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer spare them.”

³主耶和华说：“那日，殿中的诗歌变为哀号；必有许多尸首在各处抛弃，无人作声。”“In that day,” declares the Lord GOD, “the songs of the temple will turn to wailing. Many will be the corpses, strewn in silence everywhere!”

吞吃穷乏人的商人

⁴你们这些要吞吃穷乏人、使困苦人衰败的，当听我的话！Hear this, you who trample the needy, who do away with the poor of the land,

⁵你们说：月朔几时过去，我们好卖粮；安息日几时过去，我们好摆开麦子；卖出用小升斗，收银用大戥子，用诡诈的天平欺哄人，asking, “When will the New Moon be over, that we may sell grain? When will the Sabbath end, that we may market wheat? Let us reduce the ephah and increase the shekel; let us cheat with dishonest scales.

⁶好用银子买贫寒人，用一双鞋换穷乏人，将坏了的麦子卖给人。Let us buy the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the chaff with the wheat!”

⁷耶和华指着雅各的荣耀起誓说：他们的一切行为，我必永远不忘。The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: “I will never forget any of their deeds.

⁸地岂不因这事震动？其上的居民不也悲哀吗？地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河涌上落下。Will not the land quake for this, and all its dwellers mourn? All of it will swell like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.

⁹主耶和华说：到那日，我必使日头在午间落下，使地在白昼黑暗。And in that day, declares the Lord GOD, I will make the sun go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the daytime.

¹⁰我必使你们的节期变为悲哀，歌曲变为哀歌。众人腰束麻布，头上光秃，使这场悲哀如丧独生子，至终如痛苦的日子一样。I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation. I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, and its outcome like a bitter day.

听不到神话语的饥荒

¹¹主耶和华说：日子将到，我必命饥荒降在地上。人饥饿非因无饼，干渴非因无水，乃因不听耶和华的话。Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, when I will send a famine on the land—not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.

¹²他们必飘流，从这海到那海，从北边到东边，往来奔跑，寻求耶和华的话，却寻不着。People will stagger from sea to sea and roam from north to east, seeking the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.

主站在祭坛旁

¹我看见主站在祭坛旁边；他说：你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，打碎柱顶，落在众人头上；所剩下的人，我必用刀杀戮，无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and He said: “Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. ⁴虽被仇敌掳去，我必命刀剑杀戮他们；我必向他们定住眼目，降祸不降福。Though they are driven by their enemies into captivity, there I will command the sword to slay them. I will fix My eyes upon them for harm and not for good.”

蒙拣选也不能免罚

⁷耶和华说：以色列人哪，我岂不看你们如古实人吗？我岂不是领以色列人出埃及地，领非利士人出迦斐托，领亚兰人出吉珥吗？“Are you not like the Cushites to Me, O children of Israel?” declares the LORD. “Did I not bring Israel up from the land of Egypt, the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Arameans from Kir?

⁸主耶和华的眼目察看这有罪的国，必将这国从地上灭绝，却不将雅各家灭绝净尽。这是耶和华说的。Surely the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth. Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” declares the LORD.

⁹我必出令，将以色列家分散在列国中，好像用筛子筛谷，连一粒也不落在地上。“For surely I will give the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is sifted in a sieve; but not a pebble will reach the ground.

¹⁰我民中的一切罪人说：灾祸必追不上我们，也迎不着我们。他们必死在刀下。All the sinners among My people will die by the sword—all those who say, ‘Disaster will never draw near or confront us.’”

重建大卫倒塌的帐幕

¹¹到那日，我必建立大卫倒塌的帐幕，堵住其中的破口，把那破坏的建立起来，重新修造，像古时一样，“In that day I will restore the fallen tent of David. I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old,

¹²使以色列人得以东所余剩的和所有称为我名下的国。此乃行这事的耶和华说的。that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear My name,” declares the LORD, who will do this.

第五号：无底坑打开

¹第五位天使吹号，我就看见一个星从天落到地上，有无底坑的钥匙赐给它。Then the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the Abyss.

²它开了无底坑，便有烟从坑里往上冒，好像大火炉的烟；日头和天空都因这烟昏暗了。The star opened the pit of the Abyss, and smoke rose out of it like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.

像蝎子的蝗虫

³有蝗虫从烟中出来，飞到地上；有能力赐给它们，好像地上蝎子的能力一样，And out of the smoke, locusts descended on the earth, and they were given power like that of the scorpions of the earth.

⁴并且吩咐它们说，不可伤害地上的草和各样青物，并一切树木，惟独要伤害额上没有　神印记的人。They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

⁵但不许蝗虫害死他们，只叫他们受痛苦五个月。这痛苦就像蝎子螫人的痛苦一样。The locusts were not given power to kill them, but only to torment them for five months, and their torment was like the stinging of a scorpion.

⁶在那些日子，人要求死，决不得死；愿意死，死却远避他们。In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will escape them.

蝗虫的形状

⁷蝗虫的形状，好像预备出战的马一样，头上戴的好像金冠冕，脸面好像男人的脸面，And the locusts looked like horses prepared for battle, with something like crowns of gold on their heads; and their faces were like the faces of men.

⁸头发像女人的头发，牙齿像狮子的牙齿。They had hair like that of women, and teeth like those of lions.

⁹胸前有甲，好像铁甲。它们翅膀的声音，好像许多车马奔跑上阵的声音。They also had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the roar of many horses and chariots rushing into battle.

¹⁰有尾巴像蝎子，尾巴上的毒钩能伤人五个月。They had tails with stingers like scorpions, which had the power to injure people for five months.

无底坑的使者

¹¹有无底坑的使者作它们的王，按着希伯来话，名叫亚巴顿，希腊话，名叫亚玻伦。They were ruled by a king, the angel of the Abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek it is Apollyon.

¹²第一样灾祸过去了，还有两样灾祸要来。The first woe has passed. Behold, two woes are still to follow.

第六号：释放四个使者

¹³第六位天使吹号，我就听见有声音从　神面前金坛的四角出来，Then the sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God

¹⁴吩咐那吹号的第六位天使，说：“把那捆绑在幼发拉底大河的四个使者释放了。”saying to the sixth angel with the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”

¹⁵那四个使者就被释放；他们原是预备好了，到某年某月某日某时，要杀人的三分之一。So the four angels who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.

二万万马军

¹⁶马军有二万万；他们的数目我听见了。And the number of mounted troops was two hundred million; I heard their number.

¹⁷我在异象中看见那些马和骑马的，骑马的胸前有甲如火，与紫玛瑙并硫磺。马的头好像狮子头，有火、有烟、有硫磺从马的口中出来。Now the horses and riders in my vision looked like this: The riders had breastplates the colors of fire, sapphire, and sulfur. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths proceeded fire, smoke, and sulfur.

¹⁸口中所出来的火与烟并硫磺，这三样灾杀了人的三分之一。A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke, and sulfur that proceeded from their mouths.

¹⁹这马的能力是在口里和尾巴上；因这尾巴像蛇，并且有头用以害人。For the power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; indeed, their tails were like snakes, having heads with which to inflict harm.

其余的人仍不悔改

²⁰其余未曾被这些灾所杀的人仍旧不悔改自己手所做的，还是去拜鬼魔和那些不能看、不能听、不能走，金、银、铜、木、石的偶像，Now the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.

²¹又不悔改他们那些凶杀、邪术、奸淫、偷窃的事。Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.
