遍满骸骨的平原

¹耶和华的灵（原文是手）降在我身上。耶和华借他的灵带我出去，将我放在平原中；这平原遍满骸骨。The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by His Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley, and it was full of bones.

²他使我从骸骨的四围经过，谁知在平原的骸骨甚多，而且极其枯干。He led me all around among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, and indeed, they were very dry.

³他对我说：“人子啊，这些骸骨能复活吗？”我说：“主耶和华啊，你是知道的。”Then He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones come to life?” “O Lord GOD,” I replied, “only You know.”

向骸骨说预言

⁴他又对我说：“你向这些骸骨发预言说：枯干的骸骨啊，要听耶和华的话。And He said to me, “Prophesy concerning these bones and tell them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!

⁵主耶和华对这些骸骨如此说：‘我必使气息进入你们里面，你们就要活了。This is what the Lord GOD says to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you will come to life.

⁶我必给你们加上筋，使你们长肉，又将皮遮蔽你们，使气息进入你们里面，你们就要活了；你们便知道我是耶和华。’”I will attach tendons to you and make flesh grow upon you and cover you with skin. I will put breath within you so that you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

⁷于是，我遵命说预言。正说预言的时候，不料，有响声，有地震；骨与骨互相联络。So I prophesied as I had been commanded. And as I prophesied, there was suddenly a noise, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

⁸我观看，见骸骨上有筋，也长了肉，又有皮遮蔽其上，只是还没有气息。As I looked on, tendons appeared on them, flesh grew, and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them.

向风说预言

⁹主对我说：“人子啊，你要发预言，向风发预言，说主耶和华如此说：气息啊，要从四方（原文是风）而来，吹在这些被杀的人身上，使他们活了。”Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and tell the breath that this is what the Lord GOD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, so that they may live!”

¹⁰于是我遵命说预言，气息就进入骸骨，骸骨便活了，并且站起来，成为极大的军队。So I prophesied as He had commanded me, and the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet—a vast army.

以色列全家要从坟墓中出来

¹¹主对我说：“人子啊，这些骸骨就是以色列全家。他们说：‘我们的骨头枯干了，我们的指望失去了，我们灭绝净尽了。’Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Look, they are saying, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope has perished; we are cut off.’

¹²所以你要发预言对他们说，主耶和华如此说：‘我的民哪，我必开你们的坟墓，使你们从坟墓中出来，领你们进入以色列地。Therefore prophesy and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘O My people, I will open your graves and bring you up from them, and I will bring you back to the land of Israel.

¹³我的民哪，我开你们的坟墓，使你们从坟墓中出来，你们就知道我是耶和华。Then you, My people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.

¹⁴我必将我的灵放在你们里面，你们就要活了。我将你们安置在本地，你们就知道我—耶和华如此说，也如此成就了。这是耶和华说的。’”I will put My Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will do it, declares the LORD.’”

两根木杖合而为一

¹⁵耶和华的话又临到我说：Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

¹⁶“人子啊，你要取一根木杖，在其上写‘为犹大和他的同伴以色列人’；又取一根木杖，在其上写‘为约瑟，就是为以法莲，又为他的同伴以色列全家’。“And you, son of man, take a single stick and write on it: ‘Belonging to Judah and to the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick and write on it: ‘Belonging to Joseph—the stick of Ephraim—and to all the house of Israel associated with him.’

¹⁷你要使这两根木杖接连为一，在你手中成为一根。Then join them together into one stick, so that they become one in your hand.

¹⁸你本国的子民问你说：‘这是什么意思？你不指示我们么？’When your people ask you, ‘Won’t you explain to us what you mean by these?’

¹⁹你就对他们说：主耶和华如此说：‘我要将约瑟和他同伴以色列支派的杖，就是那在以法莲手中的，与犹大的杖一同接连为一，在我手中成为一根。’you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel associated with him, and I will put them together with the stick of Judah. I will make them into a single stick, and they will become one in My hand.’

²⁰你所写的那两根杖要在他们眼前拿在手中，When the sticks on which you write are in your hand and in full view of the people,

合成一国，有一王

²¹要对他们说，主耶和华如此说：我要将以色列人从他们所到的各国收取，又从四围聚集他们，引导他们归回本地。you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take the Israelites out of the nations to which they have gone, and I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land.

²²我要使他们在那地，在以色列山上成为一国，有一王作他们众民的王。他们不再为二国，决不再分为二国；I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. Then they will no longer be two nations and will never again be divided into two kingdoms.

²³也不再因偶像和可憎的物，并一切的罪过玷污自己。我却要救他们出离一切的住处，就是他们犯罪的地方；我要洁净他们，如此，他们要作我的子民，我要作他们的　神。They will no longer defile themselves with their idols or detestable images, or with any of their transgressions. I will save them from all their apostasies by which they sinned, and I will cleanse them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.

我的仆人大卫作王

²⁴“我的仆人大卫必作他们的王；众民必归一个牧人。他们必顺从我的典章，谨守遵行我的律例。My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My ordinances and keep and observe My statutes.

²⁵他们必住在我赐给我仆人雅各的地上，就是你们列祖所住之地。他们和他们的子孙，并子孙的子孙，都永远住在那里。我的仆人大卫必作他们的王，直到永远。They will live in the land that I gave to My servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They will live there forever with their children and grandchildren, and My servant David will be their prince forever.

平安的永约

²⁶并且我要与他们立平安的约，作为永约。我也要将他们安置在本地，使他们的人数增多，又在他们中间设立我的圣所，直到永远。And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary among them forever.

²⁷我的居所必在他们中间；我要作他们的　神，他们要作我的子民。My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people.

²⁸我的圣所在以色列人中间直到永远，外邦人就必知道我是叫以色列成为圣的耶和华。”Then the nations will know that I the LORD sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is among them forever.’”

劝勉长老

¹我这作长老、作基督受苦的见证、同享后来所要显现之荣耀的，劝你们中间与我同作长老的人：As a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings, and a partaker of the glory to be revealed, I appeal to the elders among you:

²务要牧养在你们中间　神的群羊，按着　神旨意照管他们；不是出于勉强，乃是出于甘心；也不是因为贪财，乃是出于乐意；Be shepherds of God’s flock that is among you, watching over them not out of compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not out of greed, but out of eagerness;

³也不是辖制所托付你们的，乃是作群羊的榜样。not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

⁴到了牧长显现的时候，你们必得那永不衰残的荣耀冠冕。And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

以谦卑束腰

⁵你们年幼的，也要顺服年长的。就是你们众人也都要以谦卑束腰，彼此顺服；因为　神阻挡骄傲的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

⁶所以，你们要自卑，服在　神大能的手下，到了时候，他必叫你们升高。Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.

⁷你们要将一切的忧虑卸给　神，因为他顾念你们。Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

魔鬼如同吼叫的狮子

⁸务要谨守，警醒。因为你们的仇敌魔鬼，如同吼叫的狮子，遍地游行，寻找可吞吃的人。Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

⁹你们要用坚固的信心抵挡他，因为知道你们在世上的众弟兄也是经历这样的苦难。Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.

神必亲自成全你们

¹⁰那赐诸般恩典的　神曾在基督里召你们，得享他永远的荣耀，等你们暂受苦难之后，必要亲自成全你们，坚固你们，赐力量给你们。And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you.

¹¹愿权能归给他，直到永永远远。阿们！To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen.

问安

¹²我略略地写了这信，托我所看为忠心的兄弟西拉转交你们，劝勉你们，又证明这恩是　神的真恩。你们务要在这恩上站立得住。Through Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.

¹³在巴比伦与你们同蒙拣选的教会问你们安。我儿子马可也问你们安。The church in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, as does my son Mark.

¹⁴你们要用爱心彼此亲嘴问安。愿平安归与你们凡在基督里的人！Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
