护卫长释放耶利米

¹耶利米锁在耶路撒冷和犹大被掳到巴比伦的人中，护卫长尼布撒拉旦将他从拉玛释放以后，耶和华的话临到耶利米。This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD after Nebuzaradan captain of the guard had released him at Ramah, having found him bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah who were being exiled to Babylon.

²护卫长将耶利米叫来，对他说：“耶和华—你的　神曾说要降这祸与此地。The captain of the guard found Jeremiah and said to him, “The LORD your God decreed this disaster on this place,

³耶和华使这祸临到，照他所说的行了；因为你们得罪耶和华，没有听从他的话，所以这事临到你们。and now the LORD has fulfilled it; He has done just as He said. Because you people have sinned against the LORD and have not obeyed His voice, this thing has happened to you.

⁴现在我解开你手上的链子，你若看与我同往巴比伦去好，就可以去，我必厚待你；你若看与我同往巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地在你面前，你以为哪里美好，哪里合宜，只管上那里去吧！”But now, behold, I am freeing you today from the chains that were on your wrists. If it pleases you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will take care of you. But if it seems wrong to you to come with me to Babylon, go no farther. Look, the whole land is before you. Wherever it seems good and right to you, go there.”

⁵耶利米还没有回去，护卫长说：“你可以回到沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去；现在巴比伦王立他作犹大城邑的省长。你可以在他那里住在民中，不然，你看哪里合宜就可以上那里去。”于是护卫长送他粮食和礼物，释放他去了。But before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added, “Return to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the cities of Judah, and stay with him among the people, or go anywhere else that seems right.” Then the captain of the guard gave him a ration and a gift and released him.

⁶耶利米就到米斯巴见亚希甘的儿子基大利，在他那里住在境内剩下的民中。So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah and stayed with him among the people who were left in the land.

基大利作省长

⁷在田野的一切军长和属他们的人听见巴比伦王立了亚希甘的儿子基大利作境内的省长，并将没有掳到巴比伦的男人、妇女、孩童，和境内极穷的人全交给他。When all the commanders and men of the armies in the field heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land and that he had put him in charge of the men, women, and children who were the poorest of the land and had not been exiled to Babylon,

⁸于是军长尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，加利亚的两个儿子约哈难和约拿单，单户篾的儿子西莱雅，并尼陀法人以斐的众子，玛迦人的儿子耶撒尼亚和属他们的人，都到米斯巴见基大利。they came to Gedaliah at Mizpah—Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maacathite—they and their men.

⁹沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利向他们和属他们的人起誓说：“不要怕服事迦勒底人，只管住在这地，服事巴比伦王，就可以得福。Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, swore an oath to them and their men, assuring them, “Do not be afraid to serve the Chaldeans. Live in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will go well with you.

逃散的犹大人归回

¹¹在摩押地和亚扪人中，在以东地和各国的一切犹大人，听见巴比伦王留下些犹大人，并立沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利管理他们。When all the Jews in Moab, Ammon, Edom, and all the other lands heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant in Judah and had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, over them,

¹²这一切犹大人就从所赶到的各处回来，到犹大地米斯巴的基大利那里，又积蓄了许多的酒，并夏天的果子。they all returned from all the places to which they had been banished and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah at Mizpah. And they gathered an abundance of wine grapes and summer fruit.

约哈难警告基大利

¹³加利亚的儿子约哈难和在田野的一切军长来到米斯巴见基大利，Meanwhile, Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the armies in the field came to Gedaliah at Mizpah

¹⁴对他说：“亚扪人的王巴利斯打发尼探雅的儿子以实玛利来要你的命，你知道吗？”亚希甘的儿子基大利却不信他们的话。and said to him, “Are you aware that Baalis king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah son of Ahikam did not believe them.

¹⁵加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利说：“求你容我去杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必无人知道。何必让他要你的命，使聚集到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大剩下的人都灭亡呢？”Then Johanan son of Kareah spoke privately to Gedaliah at Mizpah. “Let me go and kill Ishmael son of Nethaniah,” he said. “No one will know it. Why should he take your life and scatter all the people of Judah who have gathered to you, so that the remnant of Judah would perish?”

¹⁶亚希甘的儿子基大利对加利亚的儿子约哈难说：“你不可行这事，你所论以实玛利的话是假的。”But Gedaliah son of Ahikam said to Johanan son of Kareah, “Do not do such a thing! What you are saying about Ishmael is a lie.”

以实玛利杀基大利

¹七月间，王的大臣宗室以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利带着十个人，来到米斯巴见亚希甘的儿子基大利。他们在米斯巴一同吃饭。In the seventh month, Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, who was a member of the royal family and one of the king’s chief officers, came with ten men to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah, and they ate a meal together there.

²尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和同他来的那十个人起来，用刀杀了沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王所立为全地省长的。Then Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him got up and struck down Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, killing the one whom the king of Babylon had appointed to govern the land.

³以实玛利又杀了在米斯巴、基大利那里的一切犹大人和所遇见的迦勒底兵丁。Ishmael also killed all the Jews who were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, as well as the Chaldean soldiers who were there.

⁵第二天，有八十人从示剑和示罗，并撒马利亚来，胡须剃去，衣服撕裂，身体划破，手拿素祭和乳香，要奉到耶和华的殿。eighty men who had shaved off their beards, torn their garments, and cut themselves came from Shechem, Shiloh, and Samaria, carrying grain offerings and frankincense for the house of the LORD.

⁶尼探雅的儿子以实玛利出米斯巴迎接他们，随走随哭。遇见了他们，就对他们说：“你们可以来见亚希甘的儿子基大利。”And Ishmael son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went. When Ishmael encountered the men, he said, “Come to Gedaliah son of Ahikam.”

⁷他们到了城中，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和同着他的人就将他们杀了，抛在坑中。And when they came into the city, Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the men with him slaughtered them and threw them into a cistern.

⁸只是他们中间有十个人对以实玛利说：“不要杀我们，因为我们有许多大麦、小麦、油、蜜藏在田间。”于是他住了手，没有将他们杀在弟兄中间。But ten of the men among them said to Ishmael, “Do not kill us, for we have hidden treasure in the field—wheat, barley, oil, and honey!” So he refrained from killing them with the others.

⁹以实玛利将所杀之人的尸首都抛在坑里基大利的旁边；这坑是从前亚撒王因怕以色列王巴沙所挖的。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利将那些被杀的人填满了坑。Now the cistern into which Ishmael had thrown all the bodies of the men he had struck down along with Gedaliah was a large one that King Asa had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel. Ishmael son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.

¹⁰以实玛利将米斯巴剩下的人，就是众公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓，原是护卫长尼布撒拉旦交给亚希甘的儿子基大利的，都掳去了。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利掳了他们，要往亚扪人那里去。Then Ishmael took captive all the remnant of the people of Mizpah—the daughters of the king along with all the others who remained in Mizpah—over whom Nebuzaradan captain of the guard had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam. Ishmael son of Nethaniah took them captive and set off to cross over to the Ammonites.

约哈难追回众人

¹¹加利亚的儿子约哈难和同着他的众军长听见尼探雅的儿子以实玛利所行的一切恶，When Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the armies with him heard of all the crimes that Ishmael son of Nethaniah had committed,

¹²就带领众人前往，要和尼探雅的儿子以实玛利争战，在基遍的大水旁（或译：大水池旁）遇见他。they took all their men and went to fight Ishmael son of Nethaniah. And they found him near the great pool in Gibeon.

¹³以实玛利那里的众人看见加利亚的儿子约哈难和同着他的众军长，就都欢喜。When all the people with Ishmael saw Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the army with him, they rejoiced,

¹⁴这样，以实玛利从米斯巴所掳去的众人都转身归加利亚的儿子约哈难去了。and all the people whom Ishmael had taken captive at Mizpah turned and went over to Johanan son of Kareah.

¹⁵尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和八个人脱离约哈难的手，逃往亚扪人那里去了。But Ishmael son of Nethaniah and eight of his men escaped from Johanan and went to the Ammonites.

准备逃往埃及

¹⁶尼探雅的儿子以实玛利杀了亚希甘的儿子基大利，从米斯巴将剩下的一切百姓、兵丁、妇女、孩童、太监掳到基遍之后，加利亚的儿子约哈难和同着他的众军长将他们都夺回来，Then Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the armies with him took the whole remnant of the people from Mizpah whom he had recovered from Ishmael son of Nethaniah after Ishmael had killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam: the soldiers, women, children, and court officials he had brought back from Gibeon.

¹⁷带到靠近伯利恒的金罕寓（或译：基罗特金罕）住下，要进入埃及去；And they went and stayed in Geruth Chimham, near Bethlehem, in order to proceed into Egypt

¹⁸因为尼探雅的儿子以实玛利杀了巴比伦王所立为省长的亚希甘的儿子基大利，约哈难惧怕迦勒底人。to escape the Chaldeans. For they were afraid of the Chaldeans because Ishmael son of Nethaniah had struck down Gedaliah son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.

不可忽略这么大的救恩

¹所以，我们当越发郑重所听见的道理，恐怕我们随流失去。We must pay closer attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

²那借着天使所传的话既是确定的；凡干犯悖逆的都受了该受的报应。For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every transgression and disobedience received its just punishment,

³我们若忽略这么大的救恩，怎能逃罪呢？这救恩起先是主亲自讲的，后来是听见的人给我们证实了。how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

⁴神又按自己的旨意，用神迹、奇事和百般的异能，并圣灵的恩赐，同他们作见证。and was affirmed by God through signs, wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.

人算甚么

⁵我们所说将来的世界，　神原没有交给天使管辖。For it is not to angels that He has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.

⁶但有人在经上某处证明说：人算什么，你竟顾念他？世人算什么，你竟眷顾他？But somewhere it is testified in these words: “What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him?

⁷你叫他比天使微小一点（或译：你叫他暂时比天使小），赐他荣耀尊贵为冠冕，并将你手所造的都派他管理，You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor

⁸叫万物都服在他的脚下。既叫万物都服他，就没有剩下一样不服他的。只是如今我们还不见万物都服他。and placed everything under his feet.” When God subjected all things to him, He left nothing outside of his control. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.

耶稣为人人尝了死味

⁹惟独见那成为比天使小一点的耶稣（或译：惟独见耶稣暂时比天使小）；因为受死的苦，就得了尊贵荣耀为冠冕，叫他因着　神的恩，为人人尝了死味。But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

救恩的元帅

¹⁰原来那为万物所属、为万物所本的，要领许多的儿子进荣耀里去，使救他们的元帅，因受苦难得以完全，本是合宜的。In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

¹¹因那使人成圣的和那些得以成圣的，都是出于一。所以，他称他们为弟兄也不以为耻，For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.

亲自成了血肉之体

¹⁴儿女既同有血肉之体，他也照样亲自成了血肉之体，特要借着死败坏那掌死权的，就是魔鬼，Now since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil,

¹⁵并要释放那些一生因怕死而为奴仆的人。and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

慈悲忠信的大祭司

¹⁷所以，他凡事该与他的弟兄相同，为要在　神的事上成为慈悲忠信的大祭司，为百姓的罪献上挽回祭。For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.

¹⁸他自己既然被试探而受苦，就能搭救被试探的人。Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.
