智慧妇人建立家室

¹智慧妇人建立家室；愚妄妇人亲手拆毁。Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.

²行动正直的，敬畏耶和华；行事乖僻的，却藐视他。He who walks in uprightness fears the LORD, but the one who is devious in his ways despises Him.

³愚妄人口中骄傲，如杖责打己身；智慧人的嘴必保守自己。The proud speech of a fool brings a rod to his back, but the lips of the wise protect them.

⁴家里无牛，槽头干净；土产加多乃凭牛力。Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but an abundant harvest comes through the strength of the ox.

诚实见证人不说谎话

⁵诚实见证人不说谎话；假见证人吐出谎言。An honest witness does not deceive, but a dishonest witness pours forth lies.

⁶亵慢人寻智慧，却寻不着；聪明人易得知识。A mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

⁷到愚昧人面前，不见他嘴中有知识。Stay away from a foolish man; you will gain no knowledge from his speech.

⁸通达人的智慧在乎明白己道；愚昧人的愚妄乃是诡诈（或译：自欺）。The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way, but the folly of fools deceives them.

⁹愚妄人犯罪，以为戏耍（或译：赎愆祭愚弄愚妄人）；正直人互相喜悦。Fools mock the making of amends, but goodwill is found among the upright.

心中的苦楚，自己知道

¹⁰心中的苦楚，自己知道；心里的喜乐，外人无干。The heart knows its own bitterness, and no stranger shares in its joy.

¹¹奸恶人的房屋必倾倒；正直人的帐棚必兴盛。The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.

人以为正的路

¹²有一条路，人以为正，至终成为死亡之路。There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

¹³人在喜笑中，心也忧愁；快乐至极就生愁苦。Even in laughter the heart may ache, and joy may end in sorrow.

¹⁴心中背道的，必满得自己的结果；善人必从自己的行为得以知足。The backslider in heart receives the fill of his own ways, but a good man is rewarded for his ways.

通达人步步谨慎

¹⁵愚蒙人是话都信；通达人步步谨慎。The simple man believes every word, but the prudent man watches his steps.

¹⁶智慧人惧怕，就远离恶事；愚妄人却狂傲自恃。A wise man fears and turns from evil, but a fool is careless and reckless.

¹⁷轻易发怒的，行事愚妄；设立诡计的，被人恨恶。A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a devious man is hated.

¹⁸愚蒙人得愚昧为产业；通达人得知识为冠冕。The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

¹⁹坏人俯伏在善人面前；恶人俯伏在义人门口。The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

贫穷与富足

²⁰贫穷人连邻舍也恨他；富足人朋友最多。The poor man is hated even by his neighbor, but many are those who love the rich.

²¹藐视邻舍的，这人有罪；怜悯贫穷的，这人有福。He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who shows kindness to the poor.

²²谋恶的，岂非走入迷途吗？谋善的，必得慈爱和诚实。Do not those who contrive evil go astray? But those who plan goodness find loving devotion and faithfulness.

²³诸般勤劳都有益处；嘴上多言乃致穷乏。There is profit in all labor, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

²⁴智慧人的财为自己的冠冕；愚妄人的愚昧终是愚昧。The crown of the wise is their wealth, but the effort of fools is folly.

²⁵作真见证的，救人性命；吐出谎言的，施行诡诈。A truthful witness saves lives, but one who utters lies is deceitful.

敬畏耶和华大有倚靠

²⁶敬畏耶和华的，大有倚靠；他的儿女也有避难所。He who fears the LORD is secure in confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.

²⁷敬畏耶和华就是生命的泉源，可以使人离开死亡的网罗。The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.

²⁸帝王荣耀在乎民多；君王衰败在乎民少。A large population is a king’s splendor, but a lack of subjects is a prince’s ruin.

不轻易发怒的大有聪明

²⁹不轻易发怒的，大有聪明；性情暴躁的，大显愚妄。A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man promotes folly.

³⁰心中安静是肉体的生命；嫉妒是骨中的朽烂。A tranquil heart is life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

怜悯穷乏就是尊敬主

³¹欺压贫寒的，是辱没造他的主；怜悯穷乏的，乃是尊敬主。Whoever oppresses the poor taunts their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors Him.

³²恶人在所行的恶上必被推倒；义人临死，有所投靠。The wicked man is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous man has a refuge even in death.

³³智慧存在聪明人心中；愚昧人心里所存的，显而易见。Wisdom rests in the heart of the discerning; even among fools she is known.

³⁴公义使邦国高举；罪恶是人民的羞辱。Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

³⁵智慧的臣子蒙王恩惠；贻羞的仆人遭其震怒。A king delights in a wise servant, but his anger falls on the shameful.

回答柔和，使怒消退

¹回答柔和，使怒消退；言语暴戾，触动怒气。A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

²智慧人的舌善发知识；愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool spouts folly.

³耶和华的眼目无处不在；恶人善人，他都鉴察。The eyes of the LORD are in every place, observing the evil and the good.

⁴温良的舌是生命树；乖谬的嘴使人心碎。A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

⁵愚妄人藐视父亲的管教；领受责备的，得着见识。A fool rejects his father’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction is prudent.

⁶义人家中多有财宝；恶人得利反受扰害。The house of the righteous has great treasure, but the income of the wicked is trouble.

⁷智慧人的嘴播扬知识；愚昧人的心并不如此。The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but not so the hearts of fools.

正直人祈祷为神所喜悦

⁸恶人献祭，为耶和华所憎恶；正直人祈祷，为他所喜悦。The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

⁹恶人的道路，为耶和华所憎恶；追求公义的，为他所喜爱。The LORD detests the way of the wicked, but He loves those who pursue righteousness.

¹⁰舍弃正路的，必受严刑；恨恶责备的，必致死亡。Discipline is harsh for him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die.

¹¹阴间和灭亡尚在耶和华眼前，何况世人的心呢？Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the LORD—how much more the hearts of men!

¹²亵慢人不爱受责备；他也不就近智慧人。A mocker does not love to be reproved, nor will he consult the wise.

心中喜乐，面带笑容

¹³心中喜乐，面带笑容；心里忧愁，灵被损伤。A joyful heart makes a cheerful countenance, but sorrow of the heart crushes the spirit.

¹⁴聪明人心求知识；愚昧人口吃愚昧。A discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.

¹⁵困苦人的日子都是愁苦；心中欢畅的，常享丰筵。All the days of the oppressed are bad, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.

少有财宝，敬畏耶和华

¹⁶少有财宝，敬畏耶和华，强如多有财宝，烦乱不安。Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with turmoil.

¹⁷吃素菜，彼此相爱，强如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。Better a dish of vegetables where there is love than a fattened ox with hatred.

¹⁸暴怒的人挑启争端；忍怒的人止息纷争。A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger calms dispute.

¹⁹懒惰人的道像荆棘的篱笆；正直人的路是平坦的大道。The way of the slacker is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.

²⁰智慧子使父亲喜乐；愚昧人藐视母亲。A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

²¹无知的人以愚妄为乐；聪明的人按正直而行。Folly is joy to one who lacks judgment, but a man of understanding walks a straight path.

谋士众多，所谋乃成

²²不先商议，所谋无效；谋士众多，所谋乃成。Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

²³口善应对，自觉喜乐；话合其时，何等美好。A man takes joy in a fitting reply—and how good is a timely word!

²⁴智慧人从生命的道上升，使他远离在下的阴间。The path of life leads upward for the wise, that he may avoid going down to Sheol.

²⁵耶和华必拆毁骄傲人的家，却要立定寡妇的地界。The LORD tears down the house of the proud, but He protects the boundaries of the widow.

²⁶恶谋为耶和华所憎恶；良言乃为纯净。The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the words of the pure are pleasant to Him.

²⁷贪恋财利的，扰害己家；恨恶贿赂的，必得存活。He who is greedy for unjust gain brings trouble on his household, but he who hates bribes will live.

²⁸义人的心，思量如何回答；恶人的口吐出恶言。The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked blurts out evil.

²⁹耶和华远离恶人，却听义人的祷告。The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.

³⁰眼有光，使心喜乐；好信息，使骨滋润。The light of the eyes cheers the heart, and good news nourishes the bones.

³¹听从生命责备的，必常在智慧人中。He who listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise.

³²弃绝管教的，轻看自己的生命；听从责备的，却得智慧。He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.

³³敬畏耶和华是智慧的训诲；尊荣以前，必有谦卑。The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

大胆讲说，不像摩西蒙着脸

¹²我们既有这样的盼望，就大胆讲说，Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

¹³不像摩西将帕子蒙在脸上，叫以色列人不能定睛看到那将废者的结局。We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away.

心上的帕子

¹⁴但他们的心地刚硬，直到今日诵读旧约的时候，这帕子还没有揭去。这帕子在基督里已经废去了。But their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed.

¹⁵然而直到今日，每逢诵读摩西书的时候，帕子还在他们心上。And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.

归向主，帕子就除去

¹⁶但他们的心几时归向主，帕子就几时除去了。But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

¹⁷主就是那灵；主的灵在哪里，那里就得以自由。Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

荣上加荣

¹⁸我们众人既然敞着脸得以看见主的荣光，好像从镜子里返照，就变成主的形状，荣上加荣，如同从主的灵变成的。And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

不丧胆，不行诡诈

¹我们既然蒙怜悯，受了这职分，就不丧胆，Therefore, since God in His mercy has given us this ministry, we do not lose heart.

²乃将那些暗昧可耻的事弃绝了；不行诡诈，不谬讲　神的道理，只将真理表明出来，好在　神面前把自己荐与各人的良心。Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

福音为何被蒙蔽

³如果我们的福音蒙蔽，就是蒙蔽在灭亡的人身上。And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

⁴此等不信之人被这世界的神弄瞎了心眼，不叫基督荣耀福音的光照着他们。基督本是　神的像。The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

传基督耶稣为主

⁵我们原不是传自己，乃是传基督耶稣为主，并且自己因耶稣作你们的仆人。For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

⁶那吩咐光从黑暗里照出来的　神，已经照在我们心里，叫我们得知　神荣耀的光显在耶稣基督的面上。For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
