暗嫩爱上她玛

¹大卫的儿子押沙龙有一个美貌的妹子，名叫她玛。大卫的儿子暗嫩爱她。After some time, David’s son Amnon fell in love with Tamar, the beautiful sister of David’s son Absalom.

²暗嫩为他妹子她玛忧急成病。她玛还是处女，暗嫩以为难向她行事。Amnon was sick with frustration over his sister Tamar, for she was a virgin, and it seemed implausible for him to do anything to her.

约拿达出主意

³暗嫩有一个朋友，名叫约拿达，是大卫长兄示米亚的儿子。这约拿达为人极其狡猾；Now Amnon had a friend named Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah. Jonadab was a very shrewd man,

⁴他问暗嫩说：“王的儿子啊，为何一天比一天瘦弱呢？请你告诉我。”暗嫩回答说：“我爱我兄弟押沙龙的妹子她玛。”and he asked Amnon, “Why are you, the son of the king, so depressed morning after morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon replied, “I am in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

⁵约拿达说：“你不如躺在床上装病；你父亲来看你，就对他说：‘求父叫我妹子她玛来，在我眼前预备食物，递给我吃，使我看见，好从她手里接过来吃。’”Jonadab told him, “Lie down on your bed and pretend you are ill. When your father comes to see you, say to him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me something to eat. Let her prepare it in my sight so I may watch her and eat it from her hand.’”

⁶于是暗嫩躺卧装病。王来看他，他对王说：“求父叫我妹子她玛来，在我眼前为我做两个饼，我好从她手里接过来吃。”So Amnon lay down and feigned illness. When the king came to see him, Amnon said, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make a couple of cakes in my sight, so that I may eat from her hand.”

⁷大卫就打发人到宫里，对她玛说：“你往你哥哥暗嫩的屋里去，为他预备食物。”Then David sent word to Tamar at the palace: “Please go to the house of Amnon your brother and prepare a meal for him.”

暗嫩玷辱她玛

⁸她玛就到她哥哥暗嫩的屋里；暗嫩正躺卧。她玛抟面，在他眼前做饼，且烤熟了，So Tamar went to the house of her brother Amnon, who was lying down. She took some dough, kneaded it, made cakes in his sight, and baked them.

⁹在他面前将饼从锅里倒出来，他却不肯吃，便说：“众人离开我出去吧！”众人就都离开他，出去了。Then she brought the pan and set it down before him, but he refused to eat. “Send everyone away!” said Amnon. And everyone went out.

¹⁰暗嫩对她玛说：“你把食物拿进卧房，我好从你手里接过来吃。”她玛就把所做的饼拿进卧房，到她哥哥暗嫩那里，Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom, so that I may eat it from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes she had made and went to her brother Amnon’s bedroom.

¹¹拿着饼上前给他吃，他便拉住她玛，说：“我妹妹，你来与我同寝。”And when she had brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her and said, “Come lie with me, my sister!”

¹²她玛说：“我哥哥，不要玷辱我。以色列人中不当这样行，你不要做这丑事；“No, my brother!” she cried. “Do not violate me, for such a thing should never be done in Israel. Do not do this disgraceful thing!

¹³你玷辱了我，我何以掩盖我的羞耻呢？你在以色列中也成了愚妄人。你可以求王，他必不禁止我归你。”Where could I ever take my shame? And you would be like one of the fools in Israel! Please speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.”

¹⁴但暗嫩不肯听她的话，因比她力大，就玷辱她，与她同寝。But Amnon refused to listen to her, and being stronger, he violated her and lay with her.

暗嫩恨她玛，把她赶出去

¹⁵随后，暗嫩极其恨她，那恨她的心比先前爱她的心更甚，对她说：“你起来，去吧！”Then Amnon hated Tamar with such intensity that his hatred was greater than the love he previously had. “Get up!” he said to her. “Be gone!”

¹⁶她玛说：“不要这样！你赶出我去的这罪比你才行的更重！”但暗嫩不肯听她的话，“No,” she replied, “sending me away is worse than this great wrong you have already done to me!” But he refused to listen to her.

¹⁷就叫伺候自己的仆人来，说：“将这个女子赶出去！她一出去，你就关门，上闩。”Instead, he called to his attendant and said, “Throw this woman out and bolt the door behind her!”

¹⁸那时她玛穿着彩衣，因为没有出嫁的公主都是这样穿。暗嫩的仆人就把她赶出去，关门上闩。So Amnon’s attendant threw her out and bolted the door behind her. Now Tamar was wearing a robe of many colors, because this is what the king’s virgin daughters wore.

她玛的哀哭

¹⁹她玛把灰尘撒在头上，撕裂所穿的彩衣，以手抱头，一面行走，一面哭喊。And Tamar put ashes on her head and tore her robe. And putting her hand on her head, she went away crying aloud.

²⁰她胞兄押沙龙问她说：“莫非你哥哥暗嫩与你亲近了吗？我妹妹，暂且不要作声，他是你的哥哥，不要将这事放在心上。”她玛就孤孤单单地住在她胞兄押沙龙家里。Her brother Absalom said to her, “Has your brother Amnon been with you? Be quiet for now, my sister. He is your brother. Do not take this thing to heart.” So Tamar lived as a desolate woman in the house of her brother Absalom.

²¹大卫王听见这事，就甚发怒。When King David heard all this, he was furious.

²²押沙龙并不和他哥哥暗嫩说好说歹；因为暗嫩玷辱他妹妹她玛，所以押沙龙恨恶他。And Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad, because he hated Amnon for violating his sister Tamar.

押沙龙设宴杀暗嫩

²³过了二年，在靠近以法莲的巴力·夏琐有人为押沙龙剪羊毛；押沙龙请王的众子与他同去。Two years later, when Absalom’s sheepshearers were at Baal-hazor near Ephraim, he invited all the sons of the king.

²⁴押沙龙来见王，说：“现在有人为仆人剪羊毛，请王和王的臣仆与仆人同去。”And he went to the king and said, “Your servant has just hired shearers. Will the king and his servants please come with me?”

²⁵王对押沙龙说：“我儿，我们不必都去，恐怕使你耗费太多。”押沙龙再三请王，王仍是不肯去，只为他祝福。“No, my son,” the king replied, “we should not all go, or we would be a burden to you.” Although Absalom urged him, he was not willing to go, but gave him his blessing.

²⁶押沙龙说：“王若不去，求王许我哥哥暗嫩同去。”王说：“何必要他去呢？”“If not,” said Absalom, “please let my brother Amnon go with us.” “Why should he go with you?” the king asked.

²⁷押沙龙再三求王，王就许暗嫩和王的众子与他同去。But Absalom urged him, so the king sent Amnon and the rest of his sons.

²⁸押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，看暗嫩饮酒畅快的时候，我对你们说杀暗嫩，你们便杀他，不要惧怕。这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们只管壮胆奋勇！”Now Absalom had ordered his young men, “Watch Amnon until his heart is merry with wine, and when I order you to strike Amnon down, you are to kill him. Do not be afraid. Have I not commanded you? Be courageous and valiant!”

²⁹押沙龙的仆人就照押沙龙所吩咐的，向暗嫩行了。王的众子都起来，各人骑上骡子，逃跑了。So Absalom’s young men did to Amnon just as Absalom had ordered. Then all the other sons of the king got up, and each one fled on his mule.

王的众子都被杀的谣言

³⁰他们还在路上，有风声传到大卫那里，说：“押沙龙将王的众子都杀了，没有留下一个。”While they were on the way, a report reached David: “Absalom has struck down all the sons of the king; not one of them is left!”

³¹王就起来，撕裂衣服，躺在地上。王的臣仆也都撕裂衣服，站在旁边。Then the king stood up, tore his clothes, and lay down on the ground. And all his servants stood by with their clothes torn.

³²大卫的长兄，示米亚的儿子约拿达说：“我主，不要以为王的众子—少年人都杀了，只有暗嫩一个人死了。自从暗嫩玷辱押沙龙妹子她玛的那日，押沙龙就定意杀暗嫩了。But Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah, spoke up: “My lord must not think they have killed all the sons of the king, for only Amnon is dead. In fact, Absalom has planned this since the day Amnon violated his sister Tamar.

³³现在，我主我王，不要把这事放在心上，以为王的众子都死了，只有暗嫩一个人死了。”So now, my lord the king, do not take to heart the report that all the sons of the king are dead. Only Amnon is dead.”

³⁴押沙龙逃跑了。守望的少年人举目观看，见有许多人从山坡的路上来。Meanwhile, Absalom had fled. When the young man standing watch looked up, he saw many people coming down the road west of him, along the side of the hill. And the watchman went and reported to the king, “I see men coming from the direction of Horonaim, along the side of the hill.”

³⁵约拿达对王说：“看哪，王的众子都来了，果然与你仆人所说的相合。”So Jonadab said to the king, “Look, the sons of the king have arrived! It is just as your servant said.”

³⁶话才说完，王的众子都到了，放声大哭；王和臣仆也都哭得甚恸。And as he finished speaking, the sons of the king came in, wailing loudly. Then the king and all his servants also wept very bitterly.

押沙龙逃到基述

³⁷押沙龙逃到基述王亚米忽的儿子达买那里去了。大卫天天为他儿子悲哀。Now Absalom fled and went to Talmai son of Ammihud, the king of Geshur. But David mourned for his son every day.

³⁸押沙龙逃到基述，在那里住了三年。After Absalom had fled and gone to Geshur, he stayed there three years.

³⁹暗嫩死了以后，大卫王得了安慰，心里切切想念押沙龙。And King David longed to go to Absalom, for he had been consoled over Amnon’s death.

约押安排提哥亚妇人

¹洗鲁雅的儿子约押，知道王心里想念押沙龙，Now Joab son of Zeruiah perceived that the king’s heart longed for Absalom.

²就打发人往提哥亚去，从那里叫了一个聪明的妇人来，对她说：“请你假装居丧的，穿上孝衣，不要用膏抹身，要装作为死者许久悲哀的妇人；So Joab sent to Tekoa to bring a wise woman from there. He told her, “Please pretend to be a mourner; put on clothes for mourning and do not anoint yourself with oil. Act like a woman who has mourned for the dead a long time.

³进去见王，对王如此如此说。”于是约押将当说的话教导了妇人。Then go to the king and speak these words to him.” And Joab put the words in her mouth.

妇人用比喻求王

⁴提哥亚妇人到王面前，伏地叩拜，说：“王啊，求你拯救！”When the woman from Tekoa went to the king, she fell facedown in homage and said, “Help me, O king!”

⁵王问她说：“你有什么事呢？”回答说：“婢女实在是寡妇，我丈夫死了。“What troubles you?” the king asked her. “Indeed,” she said, “I am a widow, for my husband is dead.

⁶我有两个儿子，一日在田间争斗，没有人解劝，这个就打死那个。And your maidservant had two sons who were fighting in the field with no one to separate them, and one struck the other and killed him.

⁷现在全家的人都起来攻击婢女，说：‘你将那打死兄弟的交出来，我们好治死他，偿他打死兄弟的命，灭绝那承受家业的。’这样，他们要将我剩下的炭火灭尽，不与我丈夫留名留后在世上。”Now the whole clan has risen up against your maidservant and said, ‘Hand over the one who struck down his brother, that we may put him to death for the life of the brother whom he killed. Then we will cut off the heir as well!’ So they would extinguish my one remaining ember by not preserving my husband’s name or posterity on the earth.”

⁸王对妇人说：“你回家去吧！我必为你下令。”“Go home,” the king said to the woman, “and I will give orders on your behalf.”

⁹提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪归我和我父家，与王和王的位无干。”But the woman of Tekoa said to the king, “My lord the king, may any blame be on me and on my father’s house, and may the king and his throne be guiltless.”

¹⁰王说：“凡难为你的，你就带他到我这里来，他必不再搅扰你。”“If anyone speaks to you,” said the king, “bring him to me, and he will not trouble you again!”

¹¹妇人说：“愿王记念耶和华—你的　神，不许报血仇的人施行灭绝，恐怕他们灭绝我的儿子。”王说：“我指着永生的耶和华起誓：你的儿子连一根头发也不致落在地上。”“Please,” she replied, “may the king invoke the LORD your God to prevent the avenger of blood from increasing the devastation, so that my son may not be destroyed!” “As surely as the LORD lives,” he vowed, “not a hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

王为何不使逃亡的人回来

¹²妇人说：“求我主我王容婢女再说一句话。”王说：“你说吧！”Then the woman said, “Please, may your servant speak a word to my lord the king?” “Speak,” he replied.

¹³妇人说：“王为何也起意要害　神的民呢？王不使那逃亡的人回来，王的这话就是自证己错了！The woman asked, “Why have you devised a thing like this against the people of God? When the king says this, does he not convict himself, since he has not brought back his own banished son?

¹⁴我们都是必死的，如同水泼在地上，不能收回。　神并不夺取人的性命，乃设法使逃亡的人不致成为赶出、回不来的。For we will surely die and be like water poured out on the ground, which cannot be recovered. Yet God does not take away a life, but He devises ways that the banished one may not be cast out from Him.

¹⁵我来将这话告诉我主我王，是因百姓使我惧怕。婢女想，不如将这话告诉王，或者王成就婢女所求的。Now therefore, I have come to present this matter to my lord the king because the people have made me afraid. Your servant thought, ‘I will speak to the king. Perhaps he will grant the request of his maidservant.

¹⁶人要将我和我儿子从　神的地业上一同除灭，王必应允救我脱离他的手。For the king will hear and deliver his maidservant from the hand of the man who would cut off both me and my son from God’s inheritance.’

¹⁷婢女又想，我主我王的话必安慰我；因为我主我王能辨别是非，如同　神的使者一样。惟愿耶和华—你的　神与你同在！”And now your servant says, ‘May the word of my lord the king bring me rest, for my lord the king is able to discern good and evil, just like the angel of God. May the LORD your God be with you.’”

王识破约押的主意

¹⁸王对妇人说：“我要问你一句话，你一点不要瞒我。”妇人说：“愿我主我王说。”Then the king said to the woman, “I am going to ask you something; do not conceal it from me!” “Let my lord the king speak,” she replied.

¹⁹王说：“你这些话莫非是约押的主意吗？”妇人说：“我敢在我主我王面前起誓：王的话正对，不偏左右，是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这些话是他教导我的。So the king asked, “Is the hand of Joab behind all this?” The woman answered, “As surely as you live, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything that my lord the king says. Yes, your servant Joab is the one who gave me orders; he told your maidservant exactly what to say.

²⁰王的仆人约押如此行，为要挽回这事。我主的智慧却如　神使者的智慧，能知世上一切事。”Joab your servant has done this to bring about this change of affairs, but my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of the angel of God, to know everything that happens in the land.”

²¹王对约押说：“我应允你这事。你可以去，把那少年人押沙龙带回来。”Then the king said to Joab, “I hereby grant this request. Go, bring back the young man Absalom.”

²²约押就面伏于地叩拜，祝谢于王，又说：“王既应允仆人所求的，仆人今日知道在我主我王眼前蒙恩了。”Joab fell facedown in homage and blessed the king. “Today,” said Joab, “your servant knows that he has found favor in your eyes, my lord the king, because the king has granted his request.”

²³于是约押起身往基述去，将押沙龙带回耶路撒冷。So Joab got up, went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.

²⁴王说：“使他回自己家里去，不要见我的面。”押沙龙就回自己家里去，没有见王的面。But the king added, “He may return to his house, but he must not see my face.” So Absalom returned to his own house, but he did not see the face of the king.

押沙龙的俊美

²⁵以色列全地之中，无人像押沙龙那样俊美，得人的称赞，从脚底到头顶毫无瑕疵。Now there was not a man in all Israel as handsome and highly praised as Absalom. From the sole of his foot to the top of his head, he did not have a single flaw.

²⁶他的头发甚重，每到年底剪发一次；所剪下来的，按王的平称一称，重二百舍客勒。And when he cut the hair of his head—he shaved it every year because his hair got so heavy—he would weigh it out to be two hundred shekels, according to the royal standard.

²⁷押沙龙生了三个儿子，一个女儿。女儿名叫她玛，是个容貌俊美的女子。Three sons were born to Absalom, and a daughter named Tamar, who was a beautiful woman.

押沙龙烧田，终于见王

²⁸押沙龙住在耶路撒冷足有二年，没有见王的面。Now Absalom lived in Jerusalem two years without seeing the face of the king.

²⁹押沙龙打发人去叫约押来，要托他去见王，约押却不肯来。第二次打发人去叫他，他仍不肯来。Then he sent for Joab to send him to the king, but Joab refused to come to him. So Absalom sent a second time, but Joab still would not come.

³⁰所以押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押有一块田，与我的田相近，其中有大麦，你们去放火烧了。”押沙龙的仆人就去放火烧了那田。Then Absalom said to his servants, “Look, Joab’s field is next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire!” And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

³¹于是约押起来，到了押沙龙家里，问他说：“你的仆人为何放火烧了我的田呢？”Then Joab came to Absalom’s house and demanded, “Why did your servants set my field on fire?”

³²押沙龙回答约押说：“我打发人去请你来，好托你去见王，替我说：‘我为何从基述回来呢？不如仍在那里。’现在要许我见王的面；我若有罪，任凭王杀我就是了。”“Look,” said Absalom, “I sent for you and said, ‘Come here. I want to send you to the king to ask: Why have I come back from Geshur? It would be better for me if I were still there.’ So now, let me see the king’s face, and if there is iniquity in me, let him kill me.”

³³于是约押去见王，将这话奏告王，王便叫押沙龙来。押沙龙来见王，在王面前俯伏于地，王就与押沙龙亲嘴。So Joab went and told the king, and David summoned Absalom, who came to him and bowed facedown before him. Then the king kissed Absalom.

耶稣向门徒显现

³⁶正说这话的时候，耶稣亲自站在他们当中，说：“愿你们平安！”While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

³⁷他们却惊慌害怕，以为所看见的是魂。But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.

³⁸耶稣说：“你们为什么愁烦？为什么心里起疑念呢？“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

³⁹你们看我的手，我的脚，就知道实在是我了。摸我看看！魂无骨无肉，你们看，我是有的。”Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

⁴⁰说了这话，就把手和脚给他们看。And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.

在门徒面前吃鱼

⁴¹他们正喜得不敢信，并且希奇；耶稣就说：“你们这里有什么吃的没有？”While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

⁴²他们便给他一片烧鱼。（有古卷加：和一块蜜房。）So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,

⁴³他接过来，在他们面前吃了。and He took it and ate it in front of them.

开他们的心窍明白圣经

⁴⁴耶稣对他们说：“这就是我从前与你们同在之时所告诉你们的话说：摩西的律法、先知的书，和诗篇上所记的，凡指着我的话都必须应验。”Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.”

⁴⁵于是耶稣开他们的心窍，使他们能明白圣经，Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

⁴⁶又对他们说：“照经上所写的，基督必受害，第三日从死里复活，And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

⁴⁷并且人要奉他的名传悔改、赦罪的道，从耶路撒冷起直传到万邦。and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

你们就是这些事的见证

⁴⁸你们就是这些事的见证。You are witnesses of these things.

⁴⁹我要将我父所应许的降在你们身上，你们要在城里等候，直到你们领受从上头来的能力。”And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

耶稣升天

⁵⁰耶稣领他们到伯大尼的对面，就举手给他们祝福。When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

⁵¹正祝福的时候，他就离开他们，被带到天上去了。While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

⁵²他们就拜他，大大地欢喜，回耶路撒冷去，And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

⁵³常在殿里称颂　神。praising God continually in the temple.
